Great! Walked in on a chill afternoon and was greeted right away and seated. The menu was super simple but also effective! Everything looked delicious. I ordered the spanakopitas and that was impressive but the gyro was where it was at! That hit the spot I ordered another to go! I do wish it was slightly bigger but that could just be me being greedy! I also ordered the coconut syrup cake ! That was a treat and I got to try the tiramisu which was good! Highly recommend and I can t wait till my next visit!

The food and service are great. The owner, Stella, did not touch the toddler only told her not to touch. The mother was not stopping her. The grandmother was not inside when this happened nor was the other person who commented. The grandmother was very rude and foul mouthed on her way out after receiving her to go order. For others to comment when they werent there is ridiculous. The mother of the child needed to control her and not let her just run around at random and do whatever she pleased. This is a wonderful establishment and the owners deserve to have their property respected.

Problem isnt the food or the service the issue is the old lady who verbalize attacked my daughter and literally put hands on my 18 months old grandchild. Thats the problem. Food is great. The make server and the owners daughter are great.

We ordered to go, food was ok yet I bought a bottle of gas water and they served it in a to go cup full of ice, so not all the water in the bottle fit yet the attendant did not gave me the remaining bottle of water (small size) which was kind of weird, I even asked the guy if he will give me the water bittle but he said no. I know it is hard to please me as I cook Mediterranean dishes, learned from my grandmother, myself. Therefore, when I give 4-stars, this should be taken as a compliment not as a criticism. The food is good but not really what I call the Mediterranean I am accustomed to. The dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) I ordered was very mushy inside and the leaves were out of a brine jar, not from fresh leaves. Next time I am there, I will try other appetizers. The food is a bit pricey but in a little town like Wichita Falls, finding something different is so hard, I wouldnt mind spending a bit more than the usual I pay for a burger fare.

First, yes, Im probably biased. However, i do mean it that this place is too good for this area. The atmosphere is really nice, clean, and themed. You wont forget exactly what kind of restaurant youre in. The service was amazing: friendly, welcoming, and considerate. I would come back purely just for the service. But also, the food was pretty great. The lamb was very good, the spanakopita was very nice. I just wish i would have had more items. One of the best dining experiences in the area. Even though its not in the actual Wichita Falls main area, this is definitely worth driving the extra 4 miles and checking it out. For a good Greek experience, theres no beating this at least in the 50 mile radius.

Im giving 1 star because my husband and I sat at our table for 22 minutes without water or the drinks we ordered. Then 3 different couples seated at three different tables walked in shortly after us. Every single person had received water and of the couples a single table ordered alcohol drinks that were delivered to their table. Of the 3 tables seated after us, two proceeded to Order and receive food. I cannot say the food was good because our order was never taken. As for the drinks we waited 22 minutes and watched others serviced first. The atmosphere seemed like it could have been nice but our server was too busy talking and chatting up with some friends of hers at the bar top, drinking tea and converting in a different language. Very disappointed. I dont want to say we were racially profiled and treated that way because my husband is black ........but he was the only black person in the restaurant and we were the first ones in , in front of all of these other couples and they were all served with food and drinks way before us. Will not be back and will not recommend to any of my friends or family.

The good: its the best gyro in town (def better than Gyros & Kebabs). Staff is very friendly and helpful. The bad: saganaki is feta as opposed to graviera or kefalograviera or halloumi or kasseri or kefalotyri and its not flambeed. The ugly: wanted them to add lemon juice, oregano, and feta to the fries for an extra charge but despite having everything they wouldnt. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Gyro

Wonderful place! I ordered the chicken crepes. So delicious It was also nice/clean which is refreshing these days. Restrooms were kept ckean as well and are wheekchair-friendly. The only reason i put 4-star on service is because it took a little long to get our order. Definitely coming back!

Really looked forward to eating here. I absolutely love Greek food, but, man.... Waiter was great! I ordered the chicken souvlaki with potatoes. Took 30 minutes to make (I was told to expect this but still, why???). Once I got the food, it was literally just the chicken and potatoes, no rice, no pita. why!? The chicken was some of the worst Ive ever had. Flavor was pretty boring and was so over cooked it was basically rubber. $18 is way too much for so little food prepared so poorly. I hate to leave any small family restaurant a bad review but dang, it was just too awful not to say something about it.

My daughter and I stopped in for a quick bite and was very pleased how tasty the gyros were. Ive previously had bad experiences with gyros elsewhere and this was a redemption. The cucumber garlic sauce on the gyros were pleasant. The service was prompt and friendly as well.

The first time I went was either Sunday or yesterday and I had the gyro and fires which was good. I was so excited I brought my mom and daughter today (2-27-2024) there was no wait staff with the exception of the woman who claimed to be the owner. She told everyone who came in where to sit which is the opposite of my first time going when I was told I could sit where I wanted to. The appetizers we had were good. My daughter ordered the gyro and my mom and I ordered the lamb. My daughter said her gyro was good. The lamb my mom and I ordered was very dry and overcooked and I thought the portion was very small for the price. When asked how was everything I said the lamb was horrible and I was told she served 17 other orders of lamb and I was the only one who complained. When I asked for my check so I could get out of there I was told that was a good idea. I took out my card to pay my bill and I didn t know how to use the machine she had so she took my card from my hand and proceeded to tap and pay I m guessing she thought I didn t want to pay. I asked who managed the restaurant she said she owned the restaurant. I said she was rude and she said I was rude, probably because I said the lamb was horrible. I told her I would not come back and she said that was a good idea. I ve had bad experiences at other restaurants but I ve never been so mistreated by someone who claims to own a restaurant. And it makes me sad because the gyros are very good.

Great Greek food considering you re in the middle of nowhere Texas. Great choice for a great meal and desert. Their Greek coffee was awesome and went well with my fresh baklava. I got the lamb/beef gyro and it was delicious. The service was super friendly and attentive. It can get really busy during lunch, so be careful if you re in a time crunch or try to order ahead.

This is my first restaurant Ive been to in the area that the water served was good. The gyro meat was tasty, the pasta dishes our table tried were a little bland but ok. The French fries were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend a visit here, Id not advise the pasta dishes.

Really great food. Recommend Greek salad with lamb. Server was only one serving at least six tables or more. She was swamped. So her service was as good as she could handle but slow. Growing up in Chicago and eating @ Greek joints all my life there, this place is just average. Borderline below average. Where I come from, if I were to order Saganaki, it comes to my table with alcohol to burn and lemon to extinguish while I say OPA when its sparked. have rotisseries for the gyros, but they are not turning, so they shaved off the meat hours ago and warm it up for lunch. gyros are best shaved fresh from the rotisserie, otherwise just buy them from Kronos and warm them up. it took a long time to bring the food, and they were not busy. warming up some gyros and putting them on the smallest plate i have see in a long should not take that long. and what is the nightmare cheese you put on them? still tasting that hours and one state away. and overpriced too. server never brought check, too busy talking with other server. and yes, i want a receipt. we all know what you are up to with that. lucky for you you are outside the gate of a major military base, otherwise you would have no customers at all.

I was in the area and discovered this place when I Googled restaurants near me. It had a friendly atmosphere and lovely decor. I had the spanakopita and the gyro with fries. Both were delicious. The pita was soft and pillowy while the tzatziki sauce was packed with flavor. Although I did not partake of any, they had a plethora of desserts to choose from. This is a cozy place with delicious food.

Have been going to Hibiscus Cafe for many years. The new location is phenomenal. It s big enough for parties, luncheons, etc. Mary remembers everyone and makes you feel like family. The food is consistently spot on. I had the Pastichio and it was very good and filling. I couldn t even finish it! My husband had the Kokinsto and liked it, as well. They now serve alcohol, so no more BYOB. The margarita was very tasty!

We waited for an hour to get two Greek salads and two gyros with fries. Three tables who arrived after ate and left before we got our food. Waitress came over after 45 minutes to let us know the salads were the hold up (customers fault apparently for ordering salads). Although tables who arrived after us received salads. When our food finally arrived the server said, I hope its worth the wait. No acknowledgement of any miscues. Food was good, but probably the worst execution Ive ever been a part.

Hibiscus is one of those family owned and run restaurants that you dont really see much of anymore. The food is great, the service is fun, and the atmosphere is very nice, pleasant, without being stuffy. The portions are ample, and if youre not familiar with the Greek names or what you might like and not too sure about, ask. Waitress or waiter will be more than happy to not only explain it, but offer suggestions for things that you might like. You really need to try this place again if you havent been in a long time. Their new building is so welcoming and open. There is plenty of parking, and they do a terrific takeout service.

Super fun atmosphere, more upscale than I was expecting. The food is DELICIOUS. I had a salad and tzatkiki dip appetizer, both fresh and excellent. They have so many kinds of desserts! We cant wait to come back and try more. And the staff is so sweet! They were short-staffed, but Mary is a rockstar and took great care of us. Parking: Not a ton of spots for the whole strip, but we didnt have a problem.

Overall it was a pretty good experience, we went on the tail end of the lunch rush and service was pretty slow and it took about 30 minutes to get food. The food was pretty good good balance of flavor from the meat, although portion size for the French fries was excessively underwhelming. Price was pretty decent if you wanted a gyro, But everything else on the menu was a little bit cost prohibitive for anything but dinner. The store was super clean otherwise, wait staff was extremely polite, And overall it was a nice place to grab lunch. The downside was the overall time it took to get food even after lunch rush subsided, in the overall portion size that left several of us still a bit hungry.

Food was good and the place was clean, but drinks came out super slow and food was even slower. The restaurant was not packed, there were only 2 other tables. If you have time to kill and money to burn go here. Also I ordered a gyro with fries and I kid you not, you only get 6 fries on your plate. They are greedy with fries, your drinks are all ice and food is very overpriced. My husband has been here twice too and has asked for more fries and the waitress said fries were a garnish . Then don t put fries on the menu when you say gyro and fries , put gyro with a fry garnish .

*************TERRIBLE RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE************** NEVER AGAIN WILL I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EAT! Well today I went to Hibiscus cafe for lunch. I ordered a gyro no feta as I alway order this for lunch. Well food was brought out and it was a gyro plate I explained I ordered a gyro no feta extra sauce. Mary tells me I ordered a gryo plate and I told her that I did not I always order a gyro no feta. She informs me that she is not taking it back and walks away. So eat some of the gyro plate as this is to much for lunch. Well as we wait for the check she comes over very rude and tells the party I was with that she paid for it and to never come back. I would have paid for my own meal. I have been a customer ever since they opened in the original building. So service has gone from great to terrible. Guess the new building changes customer service. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EAT! Wish I could give it a 0 rating.

I ordered the Gyro with Fries and it was so delicious . The fries were very crispy and crunchy. The gyro wrapped in pita bread was amazing! Meat was tender and savory, the sauce was flavorful. Entire meal was absolutely delicious.

Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the staff was beyond friendly and attentive. Seriously some of the friendliest staff Ive ever had the pleasure of interacting with! I had the gyros plate and it was cooked perfectly and amazing. Cannot wait to go again and I highly recommend!

If I could, I would rate this place a 4 1/2. There are so many great things about this place. It s very clean from the shakers and condiment bottles to the work station! The staff is efficient and friendly. They have margaritas, brewed tea and exquisite coffee selections among other bar drinks and beer. I would say the dessert list is the best in town with decadent choices and the chocolate compilation that I consumed was over the top. I had a gyro which was pretty tasty but I always compare gyros to my all time favorite gyro in another Texas city which explains the 41/2 stars instead of 5. I will return because it really was good! It s clean, modern, sleek and appealing. I went at lunch but it would be a great place to go for date night.

The best food!! We had the vegetarian gyro and a regular gyro with fries. It is the most amazing place. The food is outstanding, the people are the friendliest, and the atmosphere is so inviting. This is now our go to spot. You have to try the tzatziki, its awesome! Our waitress was wonderful! She was so nice and knowledgeable. I just love her!! This is a place you must try!!
