Fine dining in a strip mall. Go figure. Once you enter youll be surprised. The decor is upscale steakhouse all the way. The service is in keeping with the high-end atmosphere. Attentive but never pushed and formal but friendly. Our waiter was professional and informative and a great attitude. A Certified Akaushi 8oz filet is $68 and well.worth it and cooked perfectly. We shared scalloped potatoes and cream spinach sides which were also delicious easily enough for two. For dessert I ordered their signature Creme Brulee. Nice crunch on top and great flavor. So there you have it. If you are in the Waco area and arent afraid to pay for a great meal One Thirty Five is your spot. Thank you for a fine meal.

Its been quite awhile since Ive dined here however I imagine its the same or possibly better. There was no waiting on the night I went, the menu was extensive, appetizers delicious, food cooked to perfection, service excellent and atmosphere better than I imagined. Prices are a little higher than anticipated but if you add in everything else its well worth the cost. This would be a perfect choice for that very special date you might have coming up, an anniversary party or an engagement and the patio is gorgeous. So should you find yourself looking for a dining experience thats unique try out this establishment at least once.

We took a party of eight here to celebrate graduation recently. Graduation evening is hard to get reservations, and 135 had seating in their annex , so we knew we weren t getting the main restaurant. This isn t a knock on the restaurant, because they opened up more tables for hungry families, but the annex seating is functional at best. The main restaurant is classy and well appointed, while the annex is for office parties. The food here is good; nothing we had was bad. But none of it was the best version of what we have eaten before. We had steak, pasta, chicken and fish and enjoyed it all. Unfortunately the prices mirror some of the finest restaurants in larger cities, and this didn t meet those expectations. The pasta sauce had broken, the steak medallions were strangely sliced and cooked, and the chocolate cake tasted like it had been in the chiller for quite a while. None of it bad , just slight misses. Our waiter was attentive and did a good job of making recommendations. It was especially admirable given that he was fifty yards from the main kitchen. If you want a nicer dinner in Waco, there aren t many restaurants that are better than 135. Just don t expect too much.

This establishment is serving warmed up previously prepared/frozen food. The presentation of these items is laughable. I should have paid more attention to the photos on this review page. In hindsight this is now is painfully obvious. Fine Dining? White table cloths do not give you that status. We paid, we left. What a waste of money. And by the way, the by the glass wine prices are ridiculous. M

Two hours of sublime chef creations in a romantic setting with quiet, beautiful music, excellent waiter. New cocktails have been added to the already great menu. The escargot with bruschetta is the best appetizer ever!!! We always order it! The variety of homemade bread is divine. My favorite dinner course was the homemade pasta with braised short ribs. Every item on the Valentine menu was delicious. We love the weekly Chef Specials!!

The steak was cooked to perfection and perfect temperature when served! I thought the mushrooms were just okay and the same for the mashed potatoes. I prefer mine and my daughter agreed. The potatoes and asparagus had very little flavor and the mushrooms, I normally love, but didnt care for the flavor. I dont mind paying big money for food but it better wow me. The steak was for sure a wow but the sides were a huge disappointment. The setting is very nice and comfortable. I appreciated that it wasnt frigid cold like many restaurants.

I was very excited reading the description of the meat on the menu and how it was Wagyu and would be graded above prime. If the steak was USDA rated, there s no chance it would be above choice. Ribeye fat was not rendered. Steak was tough. Seasoning was mediocre. This genuinely tasted like a $10 Walmart steak that was put in a fancy atmosphere and up-charged 10x. Sides were nothing to write home about, but weren t anything to complain about either. Server was very kind, personable, and helpful and even brought out a complimentary birthday desert. Although the crème brûlée was good, I will not be coming back.

Four of us enjoyed an early dinner. The hostess was friendly as was our server. Attentive without being intrusive. Our food, all of us had filets, was cooked to order. Excellent flavor. Lobster risotto, lobster Mac and mashed potatoes were delicious. We did have an issue with one item but our server handled it without it becoming a hassle. Excellent service recovery. The wine and cocktail list is extensive. The wines by the glass give you plenty of options as well. Weve dined here a few times and wont hesitate to return in the future when in the area.

The food here is great, sometimes they can be stingy on the sauce, which is always tasty. The drinks are generous. The service is always excellent and the staff make you feel as if theyve know you forever. The restaurant is expensive, so we only go there on special occasions. The atmosphere is usually A1 though sometimes you get one or two who think its a sports bar. All the more reason to keep the prices up.

First off, the ambiance of this restaurant is amazing. Our waiter Marcus was awesome. Attentive without being overbearing. He recommended the Asian shrimp and scallops and it did not disappoint. We also got the smoked salmon and it too was delicious. The best part of the meal was dessert with bread pudding and strawberry cheesecake. We were a little disappointed with the side dishes, au gratin potatoes and Brussels sprouts. They were unseasoned and bland. It did not ruin our meals as both our meals actually came with a full side. Had we actually read the full description of the menu perhaps we would have realized and would not have ordered sides. Over all this spot is high on my list of recommendations.

Certainly the best steakhouse in Waco! Food was all excellent. Appetizers were the least impressive, main course was the most dessert second. The nut crusted Chilean Seabass is certainly the best item I ve had on their menu tonight. What stood out tonight was our service. Thomas was hands-down the best server I have ever had in Waco, in the top five I ve ever encountered in the world. Im left very confused about our experience. We were able to get reservations the same day, which was nice, but should have been a red flag for a Saturday night. We arrived and the hostess was nice enough. We were disappointed in the atmosphere. Our waiter came and was extremely nice and knowledgeable. I ordered a delicious martini, my husband a tea. We ordered crab cakes, which were ok, not great. I got the surf and turf. The prime rib was edible, just not as great as one would expect there, and the seafood skewer was almost not edible at all. The rice had a strange taste to it. The Mac and Cheese was delicious. My husbands steak was mediocre, he makes them better at home. The mashed potatoes seemed to be instant potatoes . The gelato for dessert was awesome, the Blueberry crumble terrible. We never got refills on the drinks and it took over an hour for our food For a $300 meal, one would expect way more. Save your money and go to Diamondbacks, where you get a fine dining experience and get what you pay for. So disappointed.

I took my wife for her birthday, and we were very pleased! The prices are very reasonable, and there is a good selection of different meals on the menu. I had read some reviews that stated that the portions were small; believe me, they were not small, and the food was exceptionally fresh and cooked perfectly. Our server, Coy, was one of the better servers weve had. Attentive but not intrusive, great manners, very helpful. My wife had the steak gorgonzola, and I had the mixed seafood grill. My wifes steak was cooked PERFECTLY, and it came with mashed potatoes as a side. We also ordered a side of broccolini, which was large enough for both of us to share; we ended up taking some of it home. The mixed seafood grill came with two skewers of salmon, scallop, shrimp, and either monkfish or cod (it was very flaky and white-toned). The skewers were also perfectly cooked, and were obviously basted in butter. My plate also came with a large serving of cooked carrots and green beans which were deliciously cooked in butter! For dessert, we had the berry crumble. It was large enough for both of us to share, and it also came with a big scoop of vanilla gelato. This is one of the best restaurants weve come across this year. Well definitely be back to visit.

Unfortunately the restaurant was severely understaffed which you felt as a patron. Obviously no fault to our server, he appeared to be the only one working and had many tables. What I would consider table stakes at a nice restaraunt were missing. From no place settings, to infrequent visits with empty drinks, it just made for a slightly sour experience. We had the chateaubriand. Food was ok, but the experience itself left much to be desired. 2.5/5

Calamari was overcooked and rubbery. Steak was cooked to my liking, but lacked flavor. Vegetables were great, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Potatoes were potatoes. Creme brulee was tasty!! Service was great. We arrived 30 minutes early and were promptly seated even though there was a good crowd. The New Zealand lamb was perfect. My wifes medallion was perfectly cooked. I will say the sides are very generous in proportion. We ordered three sides to share between three people. Those sides would have fed 6-8 people, or 4-5 very hungry people. The creamed spinach was great, as were the sauted mushrooms. And HERE the only negative thing I can say: the macaroni and cheese was the worst I have ever had in a restaurant of this quality. My wife commented that high end shells and cheese in a box were just as good. Will I go back? Hell yes! Will I order the Mac and cheese? Hell no! Oh, the lobster bisque was spot on. Some small pieces of lobster but it was just an appetizer. I would order it again. Sorry, did not try the desserts. Parking: Plenty of parking

As a visitor to Waco from time to time, there is no where I would rather go than One Thirty Five for a nice dinner. The service, food, and ambiance is consistently excellent. This is a Waco gem and on par with some of the great places in larger cities. Highly recommend to any traveler in the area. You will be appointed.

The dinner we had tonight was amazing!! My boyfriend and I celebrated an anniversary here, and Coy our server did a fantastic job. I ve got a decent list of food allergies so eating out can be a bit nerve wracking sometimes but Coy made me feel like he had everything under control and I wasn t worried one bit!! Seriously some of the greatest service I ve received with respect to my food allergies, you could tell they take it seriously. Fantastic service, super cute outdoor area, 10/10 would definitely come back!

The pecan crusted sea bass was good but was a rip off for $62 dollars. And it was tiny. I would not go back. $90 for a tiny piece of fish, a shrimp cocktail and a drink. Plus tip!!!

The setting is just what I was looking for. Semi-casual to formal. The food was good but the portion sizes very small for the price. This is not uncommon for restaurants with more of a formal setting, however, there is no reason to serve significantly less food and charge high prices.

I can t say enough great things about this place. We made reservations for our anniversary dinner for a party of 2. We were greeted at the door and that s when the great service began. We had 1/2 dozen raw oysters and 1/2 dozen Rockefeller. Then I opted for the lobster bisque while my husband had their wedge salad but the BEST part was the entree. I had the 6oz tenderloin with a shrimp skewer and OMG IT WAS THE BEST STEAK HANDS DOWN THAT I VE EVER HAD. The flavor was on point, the meat was tender and juicy. Whenever we go back to Waco, we ll make sure to stop there again.

We were not pleased with our experience here. The appetizer was really yummy and my pasta was ok but the broccolini was soggy, wet, and completely flavorless and the carrots were only mediocre at best (but at least edible whereas the broccolini was not). My boyfriend s ahi tuna meal was incredibly small and tasted terrible. The rice was supposed to be jasmine rice but it tasted like old tuna and maybe cheese? Our waiter was nice about it but we left feeling extremely disappointed since fancy dinners like this are rare for us and this experience was not at all what we wanted it to be. They took the broccolini off our ticket and half of his ahi tuna but it was still a $100 meal after that and it definitely was not worth that much. Also, the manager didn t even come talk to us or apologize when we told the waiter we were unhappy with our experience. We didn t feel as though our experience was important to them since the manager didn t even give us 2 minutes to hear our concerns. We will not be back.

I think its reservations only. Very professional staff. We were celebrating our anniversary and so were the couples next to us. The house salad was probably the best id ever had, and we had the dinner for 2, i cant remember the name of the dish but it started with salads (i subed my salad for the bisque) then came the steak which they cut up table side, then creme brulée. Steak was really good. We had the broccollini and the carrots to go with our steak and it was amazing food. Vinny i believe was our severs name and he was a great server. Highly recommend this place for any type of special occasion

We had a fantastic dinner at 135 Prime! This is, hands down, our special date night restaurant of choice. Since I dont love crowds, we chose to celebrate Valentines Day several days in advance and we were not disappointed. I love that they periodically update the menu with fresh ideas, while keeping classic items that always satisfy. We ordered two appetizers (crab cakes and gnocchi), steaks, seafood skewer, mashed potatos, glazed carrots, and cocktails. I cant wait to go back.

Well I ve been going here for about five years and it has steadily gone downhill each time. I understand it s hard to find employees right now but let s not scrape the bottom of the barrel when you re charging as much as you are at this location. Tonight just solidified I m done with this place. They can t make their own menu items right and get a real attitude when you correct them. Courtney, that attitude may fly at McDonald s but not when you re paying top dollar. Highly disappointed & will not be back.

My Food was a huge disappointment/My Date enjoyed hers: Staff and atmosphere very nice. My sea bass plate was compatible to a well seasoned, cheap frozen Cod purchased from wal-mart over a bed of uncle bens microwaveable rice. The shrimp tasted like they were cooked for the use of flavor in another entree then plucked out and put on my plate, disgusting. The raw oysters are so petite they are worthless. They give you a row of saltine crackers with them for some reason. I guess because you are still starving after you eat. Surely it wasn t for the oysters because you can fit a dozen of these things all on one cracker, that s how pathetic they were. On the other hand my date got the steak and she loved her entire plate to include the best moscato wine she ever tasted. Her food did look delicious from my view point in comparison to my wal-mart prepared hot dog quality fish disappointment. Definitely wasted 200.00. money gone Sadly, I had to stop at McDonald s on my way home because I was so hungry and the McDonald s McNuggets were gourmet in comparison to my food experience here.

Excellent service and excellent food. My spicy margarita was good, but not really special. My tenderloin was very flavorful and tender. The mashed potatoes and beans were good, but they were nothing special. The crème brûlée was a very nice ending to my meal. I am happy to recommend One Thirty Five Prime as a great place for drinks and appetizers and for dinner.

I was at your restaurant tonight. We held parties here and spent over 2k for a party of 4, have had countless visits and just the other night spent over $500 for appetizers and drinks entertaining friends and clients. Josh did a great job! I came back tonight to enjoy your oysters Rockefeller I had the other night as mentioned above. They were again great! I then decided to order a steak along with a couple of sides. I ordered my my steak mid-rare / 135 degrees. I cut into my steak and it was over cooked. The Bartender Brandon Rodriguez told me to cut down the middle of a $47 filet to confirm requested temp. Steaks ordered should be mid rare throughout and not just in the middle. I requested Brandon to re-fire the steak and said I could assist in cooking if needed and requested rare to be on the safe side. My ticket then came and I was double charged for the steak. I brought this to Brandons attention and then steps in mgr A.J. Williams. He told me that he was tired of me coming to this restaurant and insulting his staff and that he was not going to take anything else off the ticket. This was embarrassing and insulting to me at the bar. So please inform Mr Williams that we will never come back and that I will let all of our friends and family know that this is the type of service to expect from your restaurant. Unbelievable!
