I was pleasantly pleased that a Christian organization was welcoming of all people. All the staff were kind and the food was good, especially for the price. The little shop attached to the restaurant is super cute and I will definitely be going back to do more shopping. It s the perfect shop to buy gifts for friends and family.

Whether youre a resident or just visiting Waco, this is a must-visit. Mike leads the team with excellence, and the friendly, down-to-earth personalities of Tina, Rachel, Robin, Destiny, and Margie make the experience even more enjoyable. I was up in Waco for a business trip and found this gem based on high reviews of breakfast joints in the area. To start, the atmosphere was very hospitable. You could feel the Southern hospitality from the moment you walk in. My group was greeted quite kindly by the staff. The chef even came out to share greetings and explain their mission and the good they do to contribute to the area. Truly commendable what they do. The food lived up to the expectations from the high ratings this establishment has. I ordered the World Cup Express. I dont know if Ive ever had biscuits and gravy that delicious from anywhere before. The food portions for everyone were perfect for me. Some might consider the portion size to be a bit large! Ill be back in town as the project for my company continues, so Ill be sure to swing by here again.

UPDATE: Its been almost a year since I was here last and theyve just gotten better. Coffee is still amazing, plus FREE REFILLS! I got the big California this time, and it was the best breakfast burrito Ive ever had. There was so much filling that they put the extra in a bowl. Cant recommend this place enough if you want great food at a great price. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food + coffee, especially with how cheap everything was. Really nice place. What a delightful Cafe and shop. The service was fantastic and my soup and sandwich was delicious. I was delighted to be served coffee with pumpkin flavor as one of the specials. After lunch my friend and I went shopping in the Fair Trade market. There were such unique gift items that it took nearly an hour to go around the whole store. Honestly, Ive always loved this place. Theres a sense of intimacy to the location while still giving me the anonymity I need as an introvert. I enjoy the humanity of it, and you know what I mean if youve ever been there. The sitting area is small, and open, with lots of tables and booths to sit at as well as seats along the bar. There is extra seating in the back where the shop is. The food and drinks are wonderful. I love ordering the matcha frap, tho I do ask them to add extra matcha, since its a bit milky for my taste. The drinks are all good, every single one Ive tried. I would say, dont get too creative with your drink order: if they dont have what you want, order it somewhere else. My friend had a bad experience with that which almost made us stop coming here. Im glad we still go here, tho: the food is amazing and I like the staff so much. A lot of them will ask about how my life is going and remember lots of details about what Ive been going through, and all around going above and beyond being friendly and helpful. My go-to meal involves the chicken salad, but order it early or they might run out. Its that good, and everyone knows it. As for the shop, I love it so much. So many options to buy tons and tons of fair trade items. I love getting gifts there like jewelry and scarves, and gifting them to people who I know like making a difference in the world. Its hard to find gifts sometimes, since I always want to honor the wishes of people who dont want to contribute to unfair wages and unsustainable craftsmanship. So the shop at world cup is one of my favorite options. I hope you give it a try: its not perfect, but their mission is beautiful, their products are lovely, most of the staff is amazing, and their food is absolutely wonderful. Try the matcha. The service here does not compare! Every worker I have come into contact with has always been kind, and they have a smile! My waiter, Javier, was very attentive and one of the best waiters I have had. The food is good, and I am obsessed with the fries. You should check it out!

Surprisingly, this was an incredibly delicious meal. I was thinking it would be just par for a cafe but they did a great job on the quality and menu. I had the feta chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Outstanding! Great staff too!

The 2 stars are for the food alone. Service was terrible. Was at the table an hour before we got our food. The tables around us had people at them when we arrived, those people finished their meals, left and the people that sat down at those tables were served before us. Said something to the waitress because we had to be somewhere and her response was everyone else has been waiting too. Not a sorry, Ill check on it. Food was good but not good enough to go back.

The food was so good however the service was Horrible. Get there and it s forever for someone to take our drink order and give us menus then asked for extra lemon for our drinks and didn t get that til the end. Food was fabulous. Loved it. But and big but. Not once did anyone come ask to refill our drinks and when we asked one one for a refill and a to go box the lady just stood at the counter for a while before moving. There was no over customers that needed her. If I go here again, I will preorder food togo.

My wife and I visited for the first time on a Saturday morning for breakfast and found excellent coffee, a great atmosphere, a very friendly and attentive staff, plus excellent tasting food. In addition to tasting great, the ingredients were obviously high quality. We loved it and will definitely go back and try their lunch menu!
