I go often with a group of work friends. The environment is nice and friendly. Last time I went there was a cool punk show. The decor and everything is amazing. If there is not an event there is usually always someone singing karaoke. There is an indoor and outdoor space to drink and hangout. Cheese sticks and fries are good.

Great bar, awesome bartenders, diligent bouncers. Karaoke is always on point and their usual house DJ is very good. Always a fun time on the karaoke stage and on the dance floor. Very rare when we have a bad time. Definitely our favorite bar in Waco. Would recommend

It s entertaining. On the weekend, get there at the beginning of karaoke (9?) because the list fills up around 10:30, and you could spend a loooooooong time waiting. There s also a wait to get into the bar around 11 on weekends. Just be mindful of that when you re planning your night. I recommend the Elote Hot Dog. It s a creative and yummy bar food item. There s dancing outside: sometimes it s awesome, and sometimes the music is terrible hahaha you don t really know until you re there. Parking: Parking garage across the street is free on nights and weekends

Got kicked out because the others in my group pissed off the wrong people. They have a very disrespectful and discriminate bartender there that has the manager and bouncers in her pocket. Also, they have bartenders that are newbies and best to give them the recipe for your drinks if they say they never heard of it then allow them to wing it cause yeah they obviously dont know how to look up recipes PS: the male bartender is awesome so if you have to go only go to him.

Came in had one shot after work stood at the bar 10 min later for over 30 minutes quietly then was told I was showing signs of intoxication and was refused service with no signs of intoxication. Last time I came was only given one drink and refused service again. Do not recommend

While waiting in line at the bar, I observed a group of girls cutting in front of an African-American man. When he politely pointed out he was in line, they became upset. Surprisingly, the women then complained to the bartender, resulting in the man being asked to leave. Feeling uncomfortable with the situation, I decided to leave and found the overall experience unsatisfactory. Quite a bizarre turn of events!

I would describe the crowd as late 20s to early 30s and everything that goes along with that. People were friendly, there was a good crowd without being overly crowded. There are several areas with different things going on. Karaoke, music/bands, outside; I enjoyed the atmosphere.

I honestly love this place during the weekend. Unfortunately experienced this place on a Thursday where the DJ in charge of the karaoke was not only rude but carried his own racial biases. Not only does he pick the workers and regulars first for karaoke he does not take criticism lightly. Matt decided it was the right decision to call security on people of color voicing a concern over the karaoke list. This is completely racially biased and unacceptable. This isn t the first negative experience we have with Matt. Even complaining with management felt like opinions were made and they were not willing to actually hear the issue out and wanted to cut off any negative experience that was being reported. Please do better about listening and actually providing a solution besides we will talk to him . It s bad even when bartenders AND security are apologizing on his behalf.

Such a cool vibe! You get IDed at the entrance, so the whole bar is only 21+. The mixed drinks were great, and they have a wide variety of ales, IPAs, domestic, etc. The pickle shots are my personal favorite. The karaoke is awesome. The decor is great. The bar tenders are friendly. This is my favorite bar in Waco; top marks all around!! There is even plenty of parking available. Highly recommend a visit to Truelove , get yourself a pickle shot

Wish a zero star rating option was available. The staff here are power driven by there door ID checking skills these high rollers will go far in life! The bathrooms are disgusting and as dirty as the security staff. Power driven college kid that couldnt bust a grape in a fruit fight is also not capable of holding an intellectual conversation in order to problem solve for a consumer who has spent money at this establishment. Truth is waco is a trashy city and this bar represents that city Trash There is only 2 beers on tap and a bunch of inexperienced managers whom probably still apply Neutrogena every morning. Best karaoke in Waco. The renovations are done, but its the people here that make this place tops. Theyve turned a complete 180° cmpared to the crowd they used to bring in. To put that into perspective, I have not been there and at least 12 years. It now almost reminds me of going to a bar down in Austin with the most wonderfully group of eclectic individuals. If you wait too late in the evening, there will be a line out the door. An arrival about 11:00 p.m. did not cause a weight for us. Theres an inside and an outside bar, as well as a small food menu. Its a college student hangout; however, I still saw those in their mid 30s, early 50s and a few late 60s. Parking: Very small parking lot. There is extra parking in the bank or across from it by Ninfas.

The bouncers couldn t be worse. We showed our ids and they just wouldn t let us in. Bouncers are on a power trip in WACO TEXAS. It s off student season and they just didn t want customers. We asked 100 times why they wouldn t let us in and the bouncers wouldn t tell us why we couldn t be let into the bar. Regardless, Of the people who got in, once they got inside, no one was there and it arguably the lamest bar in waco. DO NOT GO HERE EVERY PART OF THE EXPERIENCE SUCKED.

To the owner! I am not from Waco, rather from Houston, and come to visit my Mom here. Tonight being a Sunday I wanted to find a place to sing some Karaoke. Being in an area I am not familiar with and driving to, I arrived and found your location, but it seemed very illusive when pulling up. You have the parking to the side lite up and a staff member outside, but No lighting near the entrance which for me not being familiar with the area made me pass it by tonight and this visit! If you had just a bit more lighting I wouldve most likely stopped in, but I did not feel safe walking in there. You have very good reviews no doubt , but getting the lighing and I will certainly try coming again when back in town! Just my two cents.

A very eclectic crowd from all walks of life. Busy as it was the staff kept the drinks and food flowing like a well oiled machine. The security staff was on point. They were there and you knew they were there but they kept out of the way while still providing security. They were well positioned to keep everyone safe without being intimidating or intrusive. Didnt see any issues even as the place was closing up. In the three sections of the place 2 had DJs who kept everything moving and fun. Karaoke in the front, dance music on the back patio and a relatively quiet place in the middle.

I wanted to see if the reviews were true. Karaoke was fun , always down to sing. The bartender that was serving me was nice and she made strong drinks just like I like them. The LIT was strong and the price was fair. My gf got drunk with just 2 but she had been pre gaming. Overall good night the music was good outside and the karaoke was fun. Probably top 2 bar I have visited in Waco. Next time will bring family and friends since they like karaoke.

My new favorite bar!! I absolutely love the vibe! Bartender was great, the guy at the door was super personable and informative,he raves about the food and the pink room bartender so we will definitely be back. Im really excited to see some bands play here, Sunday they had had karaoke and it was an absolute blast! Great music, and a really cool place. The womens bathroom has the best mural! I cant say enough about the drinks! We basically got just about all of the cocktails on the menu and loved all of them! They were so good! The decor and murals are really cool, there are tons of art from local artists and the back patio is huge! Such a good use of space! Im really excited to come back as soon as I can!!

My friend with autism came in with a camera for security measures. He had no idea that you couldnt record yourself inside the bar, Instead of the people working there telling him the rule and asking him nicely to turn the camera off they immediately escalated the situation and started pressing him/threating an autistic kid. This has left a bad taste in my mouth and I hope the owner can teach these workers to not assume, and kick people out with no explanation what so ever.

My friend was denied entry to this establishment. He was made fun of by the bouncer for having autism. The bouncer grunted and made autistic gestures towards him. It was the first time my friend left his home in 7 months and now I fear he will be homebound for the next 7 years.

Online it said comedy club thats why we went. We got there to find its not a comedy and club and nothing special happening on Sat night. Kind of boring. We only come out once in a while. Boring is not what I need.

I ve been a patron of Truelove for years now and it s one of the few truly inclusive bars in the area. The bouncers and bar staff always have their customer s safety on mind. The food is top notch! Really recommend the cocktail bar (Faux Maux) towards the back! Live music, drag, and local art on the walls makes this space an essential hub for artists & enthusiasts alike!

Absolutely love the atmosphere. Super chill no judgement zone. The staff is great, always eager to please. And if you dont feel safe the security is on point. Hands down one of my favorite new places to wind down after a long week.
