If you like old homes; your gonna love this one. Hosts are awesome, friendly, and they are also falconers. There is a house mystery scavenger hunt with a great ending.

Wren in the Willows: A Timeless Retreat in Tyler, Texas My stay at Wren in the Willows was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of Tyler, Texas, this enchanting Airbnb is a haven for travelers seeking an authentic blend of history, charm, and hospitality. From the moment I stepped through the doors of this lovingly restored late 1800s home, I was transported to a bygone era. Each of the five bedrooms, adorned with its own literary theme, exuded its own unique character and warmth. The attention to detail in the restoration is truly remarkable, capturing the essence of a time long past while seamlessly integrating modern comforts. One of the most delightful surprises during my stay was the absence of a television. Instead, I found myself drawn to the magnificent library/game room, surrounded by walls lined with books. It was a welcome reminder of the simple pleasures of getting lost in a good book, away from the distractions of screens and devices. The spacious layout of the home, from the expansive dining room to the inviting living areas, provided the perfect setting for gathering with loved ones and sharing stories late into the night. Its a place designed for connection, where phones and tablets are forgotten in favor of meaningful conversation and laughter. Have I mentioned the exquisite attention to detail in the homes period decor? Every aspect of this residence is meticulously curated, ensuring an unforgettable yet comfortable stay. My nights were spent in the Around the World in 80 Days themed room, and I must say, Ive never encountered a bed more comfortable than my own. Its evident that the owners prioritize guest experience over profit. The passion and dedication invested in every corner of this home go far beyond mere financial gain. Exploring the intricate details and unparalleled comfort of this haven, I found myself immersed in an experience unlike any other Ive had in a home away from home. Truly, the level of detail in this BNB surpasses anything Ive seen before. But what truly sets Wren in the Willows apart is the heart of its owners, Louis and Angel. Their genuine warmth and hospitality shine through in every corner of the home, from the heartfelt welcome letter on the front porch to the thoughtful touches throughout. Its clear that this isnt just a business for them--its a labor of love, a sanctuary where guests are treated like family. Located just minutes from downtown Tyler, Wren in the Willows offers the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility. Whether youre exploring the vibrant city or simply unwinding on the front porch with a cup of tea, every moment here feels like a gift. As I reluctantly said goodbye to Wren in the Willows, I couldnt help but feel grateful for the memories I had made and the lessons I had learned about the power of kindness and connection. Louis and Angel have created something truly special, a place where strangers become friends and every guest leaves with a piece of history in their hearts. Whether youre a frequent traveler or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, I wholeheartedly recommend Wren in the Willows. Its more than just a place to stay--its an experience youll cherish long after youve returned home. Thank you, Louis and Angel, for sharing your passion and your home with the world. Don T. Dallas, Texas Rooms: Each bedroom has a Literary Theme thats quite fun and perfectly curated. Noteworthy details: Not just a home, but a unique experience of a bygone era in time.

We made reservations in January thinking we found a great place for our big family to stay while we were in Tyler for a wedding on April 29th. We were contacted via text message the week before our reservation date and were told that our reservation was canceled because there was another reservation made through a second website for the same dates as ours. The timing of this notification seems suspect as we made our reservation 4 months ago. This creates a huge problem as we are struggling to find accommodations only a week before the wedding date. Seems like this booking mistake would have been realized long before the one week notice we were given. If you book this location I highly recommend that you double check the validity of your reservation and catch this potential problem to avoid a last minute notification from the owner.

The energy and love that was poured into the restoration of this fabulous facility flows back out into the guest and restores your soul during your stay at Wren in the Willows. The boundless attention to even the most minute detail is endlessly fascinating! The bedrooms, each themed after a great work of literature, were incredibly detailed. The common areas were exceptional for spending time together in the rich, authentic hues that accentuated the history of the house. The hosts provided so many amenities above and beyond what would normally be part of a weekend visit that it made the trip all that much more enjoyable. Basic breakfast items, coffee, and an luscious pound cake were all waiting for us upon arrival, as was Angel - ready to share the history of the house and give any tips for our visit. Although we only stayed three nights, the house easily contained weeks worth of enjoyment for guests, and Im sure if there were a house mystery (wink, wink) it would be described as over-the-top or exceptionally creative or endlessly fascinating! Highly recommended and would definitely visit again when in the area, hopefully with more time to spend exploring this beauty.

Absolutely the best place I have ever stayed and is better than any hotel or bed and breakfast you could ask for. The themed rooms are one of a kind with expertly curated decorations, the hosts are amazing and wonderful chefs, the common areas are spotless and offer great entertainment, the location is centrally located, and the home has a fantastic history. The absolute highlight was the optional escape room-style mystery in the common areas. This was completely unadvertised , but was so well executed that its worth the price alone. I ABSOLUTELY plan on coming back when the proposed additions are complete and Im excited to see how the renovated property next door turns out so I can stay there too!

Angel and Louis have a gift in the way of hospitality, and they share it freely with all of their guests. They cater to your trip, provide way more than any other hotel or b&b I have ever stayed in and spend time making sure your stay is comfortable and easy. And then there is the location. Being a local, I admit I was a bit skeptical when I first saw the address, but the house is charming and warm. It is conveniently located to so many things I forgot were in the area. In short, this was an amazing stay, and this b&b will be our go to staycation destination.

The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated, each room according to a classic work of literature. The common areas of the home offer warmth and comfort, and the special House Mystery invites each guest to participate in learning about the history of the home in a fun, unique way. If you love to read or play games, you ll love the home s Library, stocked with award-winning board and card games, books galore, and a homey, ambiant environment in which to enjoy them. For the music lovers, you ll feel right at home in the home s living room and den, with a piano, guitar, and cajon readily available (and encouraged!) to play. The property is located right in the middle of Tyler s famous Azalea Trail, and offers trail maps and tourist guides to popular local destinations. It is within walking distance of some fabulous shops, parks, and eateries. You will love the comfortable beds and private bathrooms. It is a peaceful place to relax and unwind. Great for retreats, reunions, anniversaries, or family vacations. The hosts are fabulous, and really make you feel like you re at home. Highly recommend!!!
