Great selection of beers. All seemed to be spot on. The facility is super cool and located in the old part of Downtown Tomball. Certainly worth a quick day trip from Houston.

We found this place totally by chance, when the restaurant we were planning on going to had closed down. So glad we found it! Great food, lots of beer choices, good service and a lovely atmosphere. Everything was delicious. I didn t want a big meal so I had the nachos, which were huge and SO good! We don t find ourselves in Tomball often but when we do we will eat here for sure

We love eating at Fire Ant Brewing Co!! My husband always gets their Fire Ant Reuben and their Kung Pao Brussels sprouts. I love their schnitzel sandwich and the apple butternut squash slaw. We highly recommend their German pretzel appetizer!

Everything was going well until the server ran the payment and included addition items not ordered. While it seemed suspicious, they refunded the amount and recharged correctly. After leaving again I noticed added charges that I had to report as fraudulent transaction to my C/C. Buyer beware.

Ive been going here since they opened. I normally order one of the same three things Which are The Ruben, The Nachos w/chicken, and/or the cheeseburgers. They have ALWAYS been great. However, today I was so disappointed with the Ruben. The pretzel bun was hard and cold making it dryer to eat and hard to swallow. I was in the mood for fries and informed the waitress to make sure they were hot ahead of time. Because I normally get the Fuji apple slaw. Yet, I left all the fries on the tray. She mustve knew I wasnt pleased with my food. So, she offered to bring me some slaw but I was already over it at that point. I went ahead paid and left her a tip. It was kinda crowded. So, I dont even bother to speak with the manager. These kinda makes me think twice in deciding where to eat. When Im in Tomball. This normally is my top recommended restaurant in Tomball. I hope it was just a bad one time experience.

I typically dont write reviews...I returned to my seat and asked for the bill from a girl with purple hair that was standing behind the bar. My husband told me that he already asked for it. The girl then said, I am not the bartender. I found this to be super rude. If you are not tending the bar, dont stand behind it.

The place seems small, but it is well laid out. The service was fast; we barely arrived at 7 and by 8 we were already enjoying our dinner. The menu is very practical, the chairs swivel for greater comfort and everything looked good. My wife ordered the white macaroni and cheese, it was delicious. I opted for the classic cheeseburger, and I must say it was exquisite, I would definitely recommend it. The potatoes were also delicious, although something characteristic is that they were not so hot, which allows them to be eaten instantly. In addition, the place offers its own craft beers, which are very good and recommended. I tried the classic blonde and I loved it. Lastly, the bathrooms were clean and well-maintained.

Used to visit this establishment frequently, moved from area, and havent been back in a hot minute. Visited recently with friends and was not impressed. Menu has changed, which is disappointing, prices are way up, theres a $3 charge to split already pricy food. Thats kind of annoying. I feel if prices were more reasonable, the public would be more inclined to order their own dish. We ordered an appetizer and three different entrees. Everything was so incredibly salty we could barely eat. I mean everything! Our waitress, though very nice, was not great. She seemed annoyed by our presence when we were ordering.. We were kind of indecisive, thats on us, but she didnt really have any ideas or suggestions, just stood there staring blankly. We were going to do a few flights of beers, but her attitude kind of dampened our night. It took a very long time to get our food, which the place was not busy at all, and was served our app at the same time as dinner..... Not only was the food incredibly salty, but we had nothing to wash it down with. She never refilled our drinks once, we would have asked, but after bringing our food she completely dissappear the remainder of the meal until she brought our check. The other staff sat by the front door talking, laughing, and holding chairs down. We noticed quite a few other people waiting and getting quite impatient due to the lack of initiative in the servers. Needless to say, I, nor my friends will be returning. Sad to see such great places go downhill in a short time. I used to recommend this place to lots of out of towners, but I think Ill be crossing it off the list. !Another one bites the dust!

Spent a few hours there one afternoon to avoid the whole shopping stand around thing. Figured another weird mini brewery where you wonder who thought that tastes good enough to sell. WELL a shining star in there feild. Had a few grand kids they bent over backwards to entertain them. Not that any of that was needed they just did it. Above and beyond service. The bartender I guess that is correct dude knew his beer. They have lots of choices and was an excellent guide. I dont own or know anything about this place. I been there once as I live at least a hundred miles away. Absolutely the very best mini brewery I have ever been to in my life. Not only did they have beer that tastes good but they had multiple pulls that were excellent. They were building an old school pizza place next door. Going to Tomball on Friday they are on my must do list. If the pizza is anything like there beer wow. If you are still on the fence stop in they will let you have a taste you will sit down and stay awhile. If Texas monthly did mini brewerys like they do BBQ this place would make the coveted top 10. I think they even had a happy hour been awhile could be wrong on that one check them out you will be glad you did. Tell them the guy from Kountze sent you.

Connor was great as a server. Pretty sure our server just didnt come out so he swung over and picked us up and was wonderful! The food was great and the beers were as well. A few servers looked like they just rolled out of bed with filthy clothes and poor attitudes and Im fairly certain a manager (older woman) came out and smoked on the bench near our table which was disgusting and offensive to someone who doesnt smoke and who has two kids with them. People were showing up at 3:25 and they essentially told them the kitchen was closing so a few people left. However, they had a sign saying open until 4. Our kids needed to use the restroom and they locked the doors at 345. A server did let us in, but what an odd thing to do before closing. It was fine in the end, but we probably wont make the drive in again.

I have been to this location multiple times since it s opened and have always enjoyed the food and beer selection but the service has been the biggest let down overall. We recently visited the location this past weekend for dinner and we were three different groups that asked to sit at the communal center table but we asked to be three different groups since we were all paying for ourselves. The hostess said no problem at all and just let your waitress know. The waitress came over and we explained that we were three separate groups that require separate tickets and are not together. The waitress said sure, no problem and took our order. They were fairly busy and service wasn t great, we sat for 10 minutes at the table before anyone came over to introduce themselves and minimal interaction throughout the time we were there. The waitress brought the bill over with a mandatory gratuity of 20% because we were a large party of 10 or more people. I spoke to her and explained that we re not together, we asked to be treated as separate tickets and you said no problem . She went to speak to her manager and the manger so we came in together and knew each other so that s a large party. I explained the conversation with the hostess and that there were multiple families (small town) that we knew that we were all eating at the same time and there were 4-5 families sitting at the communal table so you policy (clearly stated on the menu) seems convoluted in order to appease what ever situation suits you. She denied my request again and I told the waitress I would have given 25% if she would of handled the situation better and not forced the issue just because I understand the business. Poorly handled, manager never came over to discuss with us and hung the waitress out to dry and terrible way to treat your local customers. I will not be returning anymore after this failed attempt.

I would NOT recommend Fire Ant Brewery! Upon walking in, there was a terrible smell of old burnt grease. The menu has a very small amount if items to choose from. We ordered the Chilli Cheese Fries, no site of Chilli on these fries instead it was more of tomato paste. We also ordered 2 kids chicken strips and they came out smelling and tasted like a mixture of fish and under arm B O... yes, body odor. We sent back the 2 kids chicken strips and replaced them with the kids cheeseburger which was burnt on 1 side of the patty. Also got the pretzel appetizer to replace one of the kids chicken strips and the pretzel came out burnt and rather hard. Also ordered the chicken sandwich and it also tasted terrible as if the grease has been used for quite sometime. Our bill was over $100 and so not worth it! Waste of $100 and definitely not somewhere I will ever go again. If you do try it out, I hope the grease is changed out and your food comes out 100 times better than today! GOOD LUCK!

I was highly disappointed with the service at this brewery, I came in with my family during German festival and was only greeted with snide remarks about my husbands Paradigm hat. I always support local breweries but I let it go. We sat for 10 minutes without being greeted or our drink order taken while a server was at a table behind us, the ONLY table in the restaurant. I counted nine employees sitting around and multiple looked at us. Ultimately we ended up leaving as our son was hungry and thirsty. If you support any other local breweries do not come here or wear anything signifying that you support them.

The only complaint was that there was an off duty waitress at the bar chatting with the other workers and they were very loudly talking negatively about other Tomball breweries. The loud negative comments ruined the good vibes at the bar. As a brewery in Tomball, there was no comradery among fellow beer joints here. Didn t give a small town friendly place but instead a feeling of Mean Girls. I like their beer but maybe not the hate vibe.

Based on our most recent visit it was disappointing how friendly the staff was when you walked in 45 minutes before close and be made to feel like we re putting them out. A bartender that doesn t like beer nor can offer any suggestions on the overwhelming beer selection. Top that with low quality beer. Also experienced staff members eating at the bar in between closing duties. Do yourself a favor and go to the other local brewery that has friendly staff and much superior beer and atmosphere.

Craft Beer selection is at least 12, all are very drinkable, and there is a great variety. The food menu has unique options not found at other breweries. We all shared wings, the Large Pretzel, and the Nachos with grilled chicken. The food was fresh, warm, and plated well. Just wish the service would have been more attentive. I get it was 45 mins before closing. But you could clearly see a guy that looked like a manager in charge 30 mins b4 closing asking if they could hurry and close up and pushing to get us out. It was quite discernable. They were more in a hurry to make sure no one else could order instead of was there anything else we could do to make them happy. That is a selfish tactic and doesnt help build clientele. I was a District Manager of Pizza Hut and always taught my employees to go above and beyond especially at closing. That is all.

We stopped here for an early dinner after discovering Tads (down the road) was closed. We ordered shrimp poboy tacos, pork tacos, classic burger, wings, sweet tea friend chickens sandwich and the mini corn dog and fries for the little one. First thing to note, if you are a beer drinker but like your Budweiser, Michelob Ultra, Miller, or other common domestic and import beers, you dont get that option at this brewery. If you dont like microbrewery beer, this is not your place. The food wasnt bad nor good, just middle of the road. For the price, I would rather dine elsewhere. But the atmosphere is very welcoming.

My dad and I used to have a beer every memorial day in honer of my grandpa who fought in the navy in WW2. My dad since passed away from cancer a year ago and so I went by myself this time to this brewery and they were kind enough to pay for his beer. Cheers and god bless you. Carmen was a very kind server. Thank you for your kindness.

Kind of a bummer but what we got was more than sufficient. The staff is friendly, playful, and knowledgeable. Plan on returning when full menu is available.

Update: We decided to go for lunch recently like we always used to and it was delicious. Found out the original chef was back working and it showed. Great news. My wife and I used to be regulars here at least once or twice a week up until about a month and a half ago. About 2 months ago when we dined in we ordered the flour house bakery dessert to go (which changes often). When we got home we decided to share it and it tasted as if it was old. The papaya tasted as like it was a couple weeks past its date and we had this exact same dessert a month prior and it was delicious. Its sad because we know the owners of Flour House Bakery. Our last visit was about a month and a half ago and possibly our last. The pimento burger made me gag because the beef tasted as if it had sat out over night and had a rotten meat taste, Ive ordered it at least 20 times and never tasted that before. I noticed I hadnt seen the head chef in awhile so I asked our waiter if they had a new cook. He explained the sous chef was now the head chef and the other guy was no longer working there. I dont know if that was the issue or what but hopefully they get it back in great because we really love this place.

Nice, clean but at the waitress recommendation, I had the Reuben. It was horrible. Dry, meat was stringy and the mustard was barely on the sandwich. When asked for a little more mustard to try and improve it, they charged me extra. Could not even taste the Sour Kraut. Need to stick to more traditional Ruben style sandwich.

Have to give this brewery 5 stars it s an amazing place that you must check out if you happen to be in or near Tomball Texas. The town is an awesome little town to walk around after your done drinking and eating with a lot of antique shops to hit up if that s your thing. First of all the nachos are beyond amazing you have to get them as an appetizer. The wings are the best I have had in Texas so far the spicy gochujang & apple vinegar are outstanding the other flavors are amazing too but if I had to pick one it would be the spicy gochujang & apple vinegar. Now to the beers I wanted to try them all so I just ordered the beer flights which is the best way to go to sample them all to find one you like.

As much as we wanted to enjoy this brewery, it was hard to. We were very disappointed in their beers and food. Though their service and ambiance were great. The Sweet Tea was not sweet. The Tejano dog was DRY, had a hard bun and ZERO FLAVOR. Chili Cheese dog didnt have chili, but instead thick pieces of meat, no chili sauce and hardly any cheese, and with pickled onions. Texas chili dogs are meant to be messy, gooing with chili and melted cheese; NOT HERE. Even as simple as Chips and Salsa were not favorable, lacked spice and very bland. We were irritated when we left, just because the prices for the food we received was NOT worth it.
