Went to visit Costco in The Woodlands, TX on 10/2/24. The parking lot was packed. So busy we just left without going inside. I am really glad that Costco is doing well, but I wonder if this location has reached a point where they are losing business. I am hoping Costco explores the possibility of a new location around Magnolia, TX.

I always love Costco. I have been a member for several years. We chose to use the Costco credit card. It has been very beneficial. So when I went to the woodlands Costco and spent almost $300- the cashier made an announcement I ve got one! The response to this was 2 women came over to me to get me to increase my membership. I kept telling them no- but they kept on and on. I know the tiers of Membership and I am happy. I did not like being descended upon and not heard. Usually my Costco trip is enjoyable- but this experience was NOT! Get ready because Costco must have some Bonuses for these people because they are pirañas.

Update- Sept 22, 2024 >one star lost. I purchased glasses today and the optical area was SO hot I was sweating trying to order my glasses. Front of the house manager was a bit rude his name was Ron! Turns out, the AC in that section was turned off. I do want to thank Anh for the exceptional service. Original post: Good variety, prices, and customer service. They have exceptional customer service. I bought a refrigerator, and before it was delivered, I noticed the price had gone down $200. I contacted them about the price change, and they gave me credit for the $200 plus tax.

It would be really nice if Costco opened early for executive members Check the Use By Date You would think that you can stock up on packaged items, canned and boxed, but no, if you check the Use By Dates it will most likely be in a few months, maybe six months but definitely not years like in regular stores. Most employees at Costco are pleasant and all are very efficient. I really appreciated the early hours for Seniors during Covid. Oftentimes I start loving a product at Costco, and then it disappears from the shelves. I appreciate Costco s return policy, and the nice people behind the counter. I have loved Costco and been a member off and on since the 1980 s, when I still lived in California. I just wish they would buy more made in America quality food, 100% Grassfed Dairy and Beef. The frozen Salmon is disgusting, mostly tail ends and skin. The Chicken in the refrigerated meat area is full of bubbly stinky, slimy liquid. It would be nice to see longer use by dates and American made merchandise, especially prescription drugs, and vitamins. It s scary to have our Supplements and Drugs, etc. made in China. I love this Costco location and my Citi Executive Visa Card.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experiences at Costco. The customer service has been consistently poor, with rude and unhelpful employees who seem to lack basic courtesy and professionalism. Its frustrating to deal with staff who dont seem to care about customer satisfaction. Common issues include long wait times, crowded stores, and difficulty getting refunds or exchanges on certain products. Additionally, the pushy salespeople from third-party vendors make the shopping experience even more unpleasant¹². Furthermore, Costcos misunderstanding and misapplication of Texas laws, particularly around concealed carry, is alarming. They incorrectly believe their store membership agreement supersedes state law, and they fail to display the legally required signage. According to Texas Penal Code Section 30.06, businesses must post a sign that reads: Pursuant to Section 30.06, Penal Code (trespass by a license holder with a concealed handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun licensing law), may not enter this property with a concealed handgun². For open carry, Texas Penal Code Section 30.07 requires a sign stating: Pursuant to Section 30.07, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with an openly carried handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun licensing law), may not enter this property with a handgun that is carried openly². Costcos failure to comply with these requirements shows a blatant disregard for Texas regulations and the rights of their customers. Overall, my experiences have been far from satisfactory. In contrast, shopping at H-E-B is not only more economical but also a much more pleasant experience. The employees at H-E-B are friendly and helpful, making it worth not buying in bulk and avoiding the entitled attitude of Costco staff. I hope Costco takes these issues seriously and makes necessary improvements.

I normally love Costco but yesterday when my mom and I were leaving the store the lady at the front checking receipts and stuff in the cart took forever on the lady in front of us like checking everything in this cart that was totally full. Then it was our turn we had 12 or 13 items and it took her forever to check our items like everyone was trying to steal something. I told her I have never seen anyone go through the carts like she is. She said she was doing her job and if I didn t like it go to someone else very rudely!! I get checking receipts but come on it shouldn t take 5 mins for her to check someone s cart with less than 15 items or in that case anybody s cart. I shouldn t have to wait so long just to get out of the store after paying at a check which they take your cart and scan everything.

Notice for the past year it s getting sloppy on the check out area. There is bunch of carts with miscellaneous items just on the way of isles. The other issue it s very hot in the store. I can imagine the affect of the inventory and food products. Costco is a very profitable company and it s in a great location. I m amazed how deteriorating of the store has become. Love Costco but it s 70 miles away so I don t get to go very often. I bought a package of organic cucumbers on August 1st and when I opened them that night they were putrid! Brown yucky stuff spewed out and the smell was awful. I have been trying for 2 days to talk to somebody at Conroe Costco but the phone kept looping around. I want my $5.99 back. I m unhappy now and probably won t buy much produce from now on that are prepackaged. Going to save my receipt and a copy of this message and hope I can get my refund when I go next time. It will be a while as it is about 70 miles away.

Great place to shop for food . Prices are good with large quantities. Kirkland label wines are very good. Most of them are Napa and Sonoma valley. The prepared food, the pepperoni pizza and the roasted chicken are very good and a very reasonable prices. Gasoline is generally the cheapest around and it is a tier 1 gasoline

BEYOND DISAPPOINTED. I called in a plain cheese pizza order at 2:07 pm, they said it would be ready by 2:30. I arrive at 2:17 & sit in my car until said time. I go inside at 2:30 & NOTHING. When I asked about it, I received attitude & I was told it was given to someone else. I didnt receive my pizza until 2:45 pm. Ive been a regular of Costco for 20 years & NEVER have received such horrendous service. On top of everything, I had my Autistic 5 yr old with me & she has a very hard time in busy stores such as this, which is why I call in the order, to spend as little time as possible in the store. She did in fact, have a very hard time, all because they gave our pizza to someone else

i was a victim of fraud and someone made a membership using my information and credit cards. Even though they located they member ship and canceled it they would not refund it. Who ever committed the fraud didnt even use the correct phone numbers or address. i am not sure how or why they let it go through in the first place. 1 start for terrible customer support and security and frankly stealing money that wasnt theirs.

**This review is not for this Costco. It s for Costco s logistics team who delivers appliances but there s nowhere to leave a review of them*** I love Costco. My family and I have all worked for them at some point. But Costco Logistics is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. Probably the worst delivery company I ve ever dealt with. And that says a lot given how bad FedEx sucks. First, we were told at close to 8pm the night before the expected delivery that the appliances will be delayed a whole other week. Then when they finally arrive, the dryer doesn t work and the washer is spraying water everywhere. The delivery team was unprofessional and did a horrible job installing. I had to fix the lines and the vent myself. We have been trying to replace the dryer for over a month now and keep having to call because things either get rescheduled or the email they send you doesn t work to select a time window. Hoping when the replacement dryer gets here, it will actually work. Never ordering appliances from Costco EVER AGAIN.

Its in a bad location. Its hard to leave the parking lot. The store layout, especially with the registers, is also the worst. Theres so many people, its hard to get around. They of course dont care if they are in the way and they always cut in line at the checkout. Costco is overrated. They are owned by the same people, but theres a Sams down the street that is much better.

I recently bought a car with Costco assistance. It was very easy and a great bargain. I found what I wanted, and a dealer ship was arranged. I arrived, drove the car, and the price was already determined ( well below sticker). Paperwork took 30 minutes. The whole process was painless and completed in 2 hours. Drove home before noon....

I have enjoyed my shopping experience at Costco in The Woodlands up until recently. I have a lot of empathy for employees in a customer service role especially in a setting where it s constantly busy. What I do not tolerate is complete disrespect towards me or a family member and unfairness. I can ignore certain actions from others but there is a limit. On Monday July 1, 2024 my mother and I visited the location in The Woodlands. We had gone with a list of items in mind but Costco knows doing samples helps push products other shoppers might enjoy and actually throw into cart and spend a tad bit more. We enjoy the samples especially when one catches your attention and you decide you want to purchase. We noticed samples of Gyoza dumplings being given. I made my way to get one and realized it was great I went to freezer to grab a box at the same time told my mother to try it to make sure we would enjoy it. She approached the employee giving samples and was waiting for him to finish so she could grab one. It guess it bothered him that my mother was waiting and rudely told her if she wanted one she could go get the product from freezer. Keep in mind when I grabbed one lady in front of me asked for two and he kindly gave her one. My mom hadn t even grabbed one and was treated so poorly. My mother is not too confrontational she thanked the employee and came to me and informed me of incident. I was shocked. I dropped the items and went to the front to look for a manager. As I walked to the front I kept getting angrier and angrier I just walked out. I really think employees should be retrained at this point from looking at reviews recently for this location.

Costco has been going down hill in the Woodlands dramatically! Being yelled at by the cashier s in self checkout. In self checkout they offer to help me once I get going, why have self checkout then and no scan wand, how am I supposed to scan the heavy items? Oh they do it? So frustrated with the setup and treatment that I m paying for! Tried returning something that was about $30, had my husband s Costco card, his credit card and the receipt but they still wanted my Costco card (but accepted my DL) why? Not enough proof? UPDATE: They realized the error of their ways and made changes to the self-service, so now it is more of an express lane. They are still inferior to the Sam s Club app scan and pay option, but at least they fixed the other problem. We ve loved Costco forever. But this store just implemented the most disastrous self-scanning system EVER. Sam s Club also does self scan, but you have a scan gun, click through all the items in your cart, pay, and you re out the door. OR you can scan on the app while you re shopping, pay, show the door monitor your phone receipt, and go! It s amazing. On the other hand, Costco s system is seriously cumbersome, painful, and a complete time suck. You have to physically pick up and scan the barcode across the scanner on every warehouse-sized item you purchase (which are usually quite heavy), put it not in your cart, but on a finicky scale with all your other giant products, call an annoyed associate over three times, and eventually pay, load your cart back up, and leave again only to have to AGAIN handle your heavy items to put in your car. RIDICULOUS. Who s idea was this? Fine for a small convenience store, but we re buying in BULK and don t need to hoist a heavy case of two giant detergent bottles on a scanner! One time is enough. We gave up our Sam s membership for Costco, but I plan to contact corporate for a reimbursement. Back to Sam s Club. That system is broken.

I ve been going to this Costco since it opened. I m both a member of Costco and Sam s. While Sam s has improved their checkout and shopping through app, their customer service and relations. This Costco location has gone down steadily. Their staff needs a serious training and refresher in customer relations. We ve had several problems with staff at this location. A girl at the optical counter repeatedly accused my son of messing up his glasses and said he sat on them when it was a technical and manufacturing issue with the frame. The people standing at exit checking the slips are borderline hostile, roll their eyes and ignore the customers. No greeting hi,hello, good morning, how you doing at the entrance but they will tell you to step outside and make sure your app is on and you can show me your membership before you step in. Yes! Was actually told to step outside and make sure it s on. It was extremely insulting. I understand it s your policy. But the way you say things and handle situations make a world of difference. I will not write a review if it was an isolated occurrence. What happened to southern hospitality? I m so deeply disappointed in the customer service at Costco. Yall were famous for it. Not anymore. I would seriously rather go to Sam s. Please read all the multiple reviews saying the same thing about your employees. Absolute disgrace!

Whats going on with costco oranges ROTTING days after purchase??? This has happened multiple times and from different locations!!! It doesnt matter if I wash with vinegar. I was looking for Hand Crafted All Occasion Greeting Card Collection, 35-count. I knew the store had it because it was showing on line that it was available. This isn t my usual Costco so I was unfamiliar with this stores layout. First employee I asked help from said I know we have it, I saw it somewhere but no idea where it is . Asked a manager he said we only have that at Christmas. It s ALL occasion why would you only have it at Christmas! No one was very helpful or cared about helping me. I eventually found it on my own.

The people at Costco are all very friendly and there s a lot of good deals there. If you have a family or just like stocking up on some of your favorites in the membership is a good idea and my boyfriend got the $60 one for the year and just split the price, I think it s worth the prices of the food we found.
