Our rehearsal dinner at Mortons The Steakhouse was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance exuded elegance and sophistication, setting the perfect tone for the evening. The private dining room was beautifully arranged, offering an intimate yet spacious environment for our gathering. Jeff was incredible in the planning process! The service was impeccable. The staff was AMAZING, attentive, courteous, and highly professional, ensuring that every guest felt special and well-cared-for. Their attention to detail was evident, from the prompt refilling of glasses to accommodating specific dietary requests without a hitch. The highlight of the evening was, of course, the food. Mortons reputation for exceptional steak did not disappoint. Each course was a culinary delight, starting with mouth-watering appetizers and culminating in perfectly cooked steaks that melted in your mouth. The sides and desserts were equally impressive, with the creamy mashed potatoes and the decadent chocolate cake being particular standouts. Thank you Mortons, for an extraordinary setting for our rehearsal dinner. The combination of exquisite food, exceptional service, and a refined atmosphere made it a memorable evening for us and our guests. We couldnt have asked for a better start to our wedding celebration.

My boyfriend and I recently went on a date to Morton s Grille and it was truly a remarkable dining experience from the moment we entered. The highlight of our night, aside from the incredible food, was the service provided by our waitress, Maddy. She was very attentive and knowledgeable. We ended up ordering what she recommended, which was The Cajun Rib Eye - and it did not disappoint! Her service truly elevated our evening, and I cannot recommend Morton s Grille highly enough for anyone seeking a refined dining experience. This is more than just a meal!

This was my first experience with Mortons Grille, and it did not disappoint. My husband and I were celebrating my birthday and decided to drive a bit to have a peaceful date night. Mortons did such an excellent job on making sure the date night was amazing. My husband ordered steak, and I salmon both were full of flavor. The mac and cheese is top tier. I could have just eaten that alone! Our server was very attentive, informative, and polite. Plus, I was given a complimentary dessert (cheesecake). Should I say scrumptious!!!! Overall, the ambiance, food, and staff were exactly what we needed for our night out. Thank you, Mortons Grille. We will be back.

Made a reservation online for our anniversary and within the hour Joe the manager contacted me. I had informed them that I had proposed to my wife here and wanted to celebrate an anniversary dinner to reminisce. He made sure to get me the same exact booth we were in that night and made us feel so welcomed. Taylor was our server and she did such an amazing job with recommendations and taking care of us. The entire staff is so friendly and attentive. Thank you all for making us feel special. Rudy & Sarah

Mortons Grille is a modern concept table service steakhouse arising from the nationwide Mortons Steakhouse chain, and, unsurprisingly, the only location after ten years is this one. Ive eaten here six times, always for lunch, since it opened, and Ive never been impressed with the atmosphere, service, or food. So, while this review is harsh, its fair. This restaurant has many good reviews, which baffles me, but the dinner service, vibe, and staff may be better. I am a fan of Mortons Steakhouse, so that may be why the Grille is such a letdown. This L-shaped restaurant is modern and dark. You wouldnt be surprised to find Baron Vladimir Harkonnen dining there; the seating, walls, table, floor, and everything else are shades of black with high gloss accents everywhere. If you like that vibe, this restaurant takes it to the extreme, and you may enjoy it. Paradoxically, the outdoor seating along Waterway Ave is lovely, with mature trees and inviting-looking four-person tables. On a nice day or evening, I imagine that would be quite the place to dine. The restaurant is often dead in the afternoons, which, combined with the harsh interior, saps your energy. They clearly put a lot of money and time into choosing the finishes, and it all feels high quality, but it doesnt come together. The service has consistently qualified as alright, but somethings just been off every time. Its certainly not what I would expect from a Mortons branded steakhouse at that price point. The food has either been either underwhelming or disappointing. I cant remember anything Ive had there that made me want to return or that I found memorable. I polled people Ive visited with in the past and recently and got mixed results. If your expectations arent for fine dining, you arent price sensitive, and you arent looking for a meal you will walk away talking about (in a good way), its probably fine. Id recommend somewhere else since there are so many good steakhouses nearby. Mortons is part of Landrys restaurant group, so if you like Landrys, the nearby location on Lake Robbins is beautifully designed, inviting, cozy, has great views, and has steak and seafood. Dietary restrictions: No nutritional information is available, its hard to tell what might be in the dishes.

WHERE DO I START?! We were at Mortons last night and let me tell you BEST restaurant experience Ive had in a while. It was my husbands and I anniversary and he made us reservations. Upon arrival, we were greeted and our table was almost ready (we got there 10 min early). After being seated Mr. Joe came to apologize for making us wait- although remember we were still 10 min early so it was not their fault for not being fully ready. Upon being seated, they had special menus they made us that said happy anniversary, SO THOUGHTFUL! Our waiter was amazing gosh I wish I remembered her name. She recommended everything we had for dinner and it was a hit! The garlic bread is AMAZING, the firecracker shrimp appetizer is chefs kiss. We also got strawberry coconut mocktails and they were great! For entrees we had the blackened fish and goodness it was seared to perfection. My husband had the sticky rice he loved it, his side was the Mac n cheese and it was moist, cheesy, and rich with flavor. I got the mash potatoes and jumbo asparagus and it was also filling. Let me say the portions are a generous size to share. Everything was just absolutely great. The service was one of a kind, we had 3 people walk by and ask if we were okay, our waiter was attentive. They gifted us the chocolate and ice cream cake dessert which takes 25 min to prepare, that was also tasty and warm. And to top it off they took our picture, printed it, wrote happy anniversary and put it in a card for us. 10/10 would recommend this place. They truly offer attentive service, attention to detail, the food is ACTUALLY WORTH THE PRICE, and the servings are generous. Wow! Im amazed at the experience. Mortons grill yall are the best!! Thank you for great customer service!

My husband and I LOVE this place! Its our neighborhood bar as my husband calls it. Yes, you could go somewhere else and spend $100, but thats not the point. The point is, we come here FOR the people. We also come for the food, and the atmosphere, plus our daughter loves it because her number one food of choice is steak, and also because we can bring our pup on the patio. We love the bar and Happy Hour, where we know some of the bartenders by name, but when theyre full, were completely flexible with eating in the dining room as we know some of the staff there by name as well and everyones always so patient and friendly. We go back time and again! (Walking or driving, depending on the weather.) So please, take a couple hours (HH) or go for drinks and dessert, I PROMISE you WONT be disappointed! and see our favorite people at Mortons Grill in The Woodlands on the Waterway.

I took my girlfriend on a dinner date to Morton s Saturday night. We each ordered a 100.00$ waygu steak, mine a sirloin and hers was some special thing that was supposed to be aged in snow. We both agreed that mine was much better than hers but here s the thing that really bugged me. After paying 200.00$ for the steaks they don t come with any sides, you have to pay extra for the sides. To me that s ridiculous. I can go to many places that will give me a steak just as good if not better and include the sides. We both agreed we probably won t be back.

At routine dinners, the staff still makes us feel special. The menu is full of wonderful options throughout, and let s not forget the house bread. Let me start my review by saying these 3 names.. Cody, Joe & Thalia as they made our experience a memorable one! I chose this location for my one year wedding anniversary to celebrate. Ive lived in the woodlands area over 17 years and never been so I said why not & it didnt disappoint! Cody was so helpful with ensuring that our menu was personalized for our special evening & my reservation was set. We arrived a little bit after our reservation time, walked in, was checked-in & immediately everyone said Happy Anniversary my heart literally smiled We were seated & Thalia introduced herself as our server.. Thalia was absolutely the best, she went over the cocktail menu, the dinner menu, answered questions we had while making menu selections, recommended menu selections, took our photo to help celebrate our anniversary.. The manager Joe came over to congratulate us on our anniversary & even provided words of wisdom which we truly appreciated! THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD. I had the Texas Chicken fried lobster served over grits & my husband had the filet mignon sandwich with truffle fries.. We were stuffed as we finished it all.. desert we had lava cake & that was an excellent recommendation by Thaila.. Our overall experience was amazing & as a LSC member well definitely be back.

We hosted my son s rehearsal dinner at Morton s a few weeks ago and all I can say is WOW!!! From the moment I reserved the space up until the night of the event, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, went so smoothly and was executed perfectly. Jeff and his team were so helpful with menu recommendations, table placement, and every other small detail you can imagine. I live out of town which can make things difficult. But anytime I called with a question or concern I was met with such a positive response. The planning process was so simple due to their expertise and advice. The food was FANTASTIC and the service was OUTSTANDING! We had 115 guests that were so impressed and treated so well. I HIGHLY recommend Mortons on the Woodlands Waterway for your event or dinner in general. Thank you Jeff, and your entire team for a perfect evening. I wouldn t have changed a thing!

All of our meals were delicious and the old fashions were great as well. We left full, with a bunch of leftovers and had a great experience overall.

Mortons Grill The Woodlands has got to be the finest establish in the area. We were in town for the Foreigner / Styx concert and wanted a good meal before the festivities. We walked in and were instantly greeted with big smiles and welcomes to include one from Joe E. Robles III, the general manager. This guy is top notch and clearly loves his job. He was working the room like the pro that he is and constantly encouraging and speaking with the staff. It seemed like all the patrons knew Joe and wanted a chance to talk with him and he obliged. As we sat we were met by Madison, the sweetest gal you could meet with a very sincere and beautiful smile. She spent the next two hours loving on us like we were her own family. We started with the Firecracker Shrimp which I highly recommend. Our host ordered a bottle of Hundred Acre and Madison nearly choked and asked if we were kidding! Joe was back to work talking to us about the wine and decanting it for the table. We moved to the main courses and they all came out perfect. From the Cajun Pork Chop to the Blackened Redfish everything was on point. As we finished up Joe was back at it bringing by a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle for us as an option for our after dinner drink. Of course when the manager brings by Pappy who is to say no. We are in town a lot for concerts and usually float around the area but after this experience we will be back for the expert staff, amazing food and of course a chance to talk to Joe! Thank you all at Mortons The Woodlands for an exquisite dinning experience.

Delicious, huge and fast, just like I needed. Ended the meal with an espresso. Highly recommend.

Everything was great until our server misplaced the receipt with the tip written in and chased me out of the restaurant asking why I left him $0 tip. Between the four of us who split our bill, we left him over $100 in tips, but he misplaced the receipt and thought I left him $0 and came running out the front door with a blank receipt in hand demanding that I sign it and give him a better tip. I let him know that I already wrote in a tip and signed it and said that he must have thrown it away on accident. After I involved the mgmt team and had them search the trash cans, they miraculously found my signed receipt with a 25% tip written in and apologized for their error. This kind of service is mind-blowing considering they are an upscale establishment. Even if I had left a $0 tip, that is my right as a customer. To chase a customer out the door demanding a higher tip is crazy when it was in fact his own fault for throwing away the top copy of the signed receipt. Shame on you Nick, and shame on the manager Gage for defending this servers eratic behavior.

(Supposed to be medium rare but cooked fully ) she responded with attitude, asking what was your temperature? (Rudely)We all had cake in front of us with no fork to eat it with, so someone asked her for a simple request. She responded AGAIN so rudely we all looked at each other asking what happened? Ambiance of the restaurant was great, food was great. Seemed like a good place to have a calm intimate date night with the girlfriend. However, what kind of ruined it was our waiter who was a bit overzealous with the upselling and joking. He tried to upsell us on every item we ordered to the point where it was off putting while at the same time being TOO personable and jokey for someone waiting on a couple on a date. I get there are people and circumstances that enjoy this kind of behavior/energy, but you have to learn to read your crowd. Spent over $150 and honestly would have ordered another round of drinks and dessert at least but we wanted to get out of there. Will not be returning.

She was, however, hot on our tail clearing the table offering this and that once the company card was swiped. It was cold on this day, but it felt nice inside Morton s! We had reservations and were greeted like a million bucks into the exceptionally classy interior. They were between shifts but we were still decently taken care of. You must try the taters what s not love when you mash potato, cheese and bacon into a crunchy shell? Simply delicious they were blazing hot but so good we kept burning ourselves to get another taste. I had the hanger steak and wife had the filet mignon with the mac and asparagus as side the sides are shareable. Plenty for two. The asparagus were huge! The steak was medium on the dot, seasoned perfectly, and plated like something you see in a magazine or tv show. Amazing. I wish I could use better verbiage to describe just how great it was. Tender, juicy, and you could taste the taste quality. Kid had the burger and could only finish half of the half-pound behemoth. They offer a 1 pounder if your heart desires. Will return.

Update: I typically love Mortons Grille. I had a one-off experience where the food was over salted. The management made it up to us & I was very happy with the steak & sides the next time around. The atmosphere, the wine, and the steaks are typically amazing... and having attentive management keeps us coming back! Thank you for the opportunity at redemption, it was worth it.

Update 01/27/2024: I was contacted by the business and they have apologized profusely about my experience. After speaking with 3 different people from Morton s, and how they are handling this situation, I have decided we will return. Especially since Mr. Joe has now added official kids options for this restaurant. Feedback was given, feedback was taken, and as a Landry s brand lover I am so glad to have heard from them. *I have not accepted anything from this establishment for this updated review.* First entrance of this restaurant we were greeted by two amazing people. I was instantly feeling it based on that. We were then greeted by a bartender that was also amazing. We were then transferred to another bartender and thats where our experience went downhill. She in my opinion did not want to be at work. She walked away and came back and we thought ok shes better now. Nope! Still didnt change my opinion on her. Sucks that everything started so well and then bam. We ordered a kids chicken tender and firecrackers shrimp. She did give a heads up that the kids tenders were the same price as the chicken sandwich to which I opted not to get the sandwich yet when I received my check, the sandwich was on there. Why is a kids chicken tender meal $18? Yes I had my daughter (10 years old) with me. $18? It was nowhere near worth it for frozen tenders dropped in a fryer. Also, when asked about the sandwich, this waitress/bartender replied, we are a steak house. Well I know where I walked into however why have items on your menu that you do not think is good? All three stars go to the greeter at the door, the manager at the table, the first bartender that served me to whom I wish would have just been with us the entire service AND the Gouda bites. The Gouda bites were the best thing I had tonight. Not sure I will return, sadly! Parking: Parking lots across the street. Parking garage down the road. Street parking is limited and shared with other businesses. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly on the price for frozen food.

My husband had surprised me by taking me here for our first wedding anniversary. He had made the arrangements online letting them know we were coming to celebrate. I will say we were greeted very warmly like they were expecting us. They did up the table with fake rose petals and special menues for the anniversary. Our waiter came over and seemed nice at the time and took our drinks and gave us the rundown on the menu. My husband and I each ordered something from the bar and an appetizer. We waited for quite sometime before our drinks ever arrived and even longer for the appetizer. Then we ordered our meals in which I was wanting the smaller filet due to I don t eat red meat often, that s when our waiter really turned on us. When I told him I wanted the small one he replied, no you want the bigger one and I m going to tell you why. I was so off put by that but still told him I would stick with my original order because I wasn t sure I could finish the bigger one in which he replied, well, we have these really great things called a to-go box! I stopped responding after that. Time goes by after placing our food and it s getting later and later. Mind you this is a Monday night and there are maybe 5 other tables with guests, it wasn t busy at all. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive in the meantime anytime our waiter would check on us he would try and get us to order more alcohol. My husband did order a second beer but our waiter kept trying to pressure me into another beverage and I kept declining due to I had to work early the next morning and I m in healthcare. After all this it still took forever for my husband to get his second beer(which he had ordered before our entree ever came) that it came even after the free dessert they gave us for our anniversary. We also got to watch the other couples in the restaurant get their photos taken and we never did. The whole experience was so off putting and it was awful feeling like we were getting nickel and dimed by our waiter. The whole dinner took over 2 hours and for a Monday and being slow it was ridiculous. The whole experience just really put a damper on our anniversary that by the time we left we didn t even want to eat our anniversary cake we had custom made to be like our wedding cake. This was my husband s first time in a Morton s, I had been several times before in other states and I m also a Landry s Club Member and after this whole experience I don t think we will ever be back here.

To start off.. the ambience and food at this place were amazing! We went out to celebrate our anniversary and were welcomed by the host immediately. The dessert on the house was a nice touch to end the night, but sadly our service was very lackluster. First things first, we never received any bread prior to getting our appetizers. After asking the food runner for some bread and never receiving it, my partner asked our server if he could bring some bread. He replied yes and we never got our bread although we did see him walk by us twice with bread for other tables. As someone that has been working in the industry for years I didn t appreciate our server being so neglectful and pushy. Immediately upon ordering my drink, the server asked if my partner wanted a drink and he responded with a polite no thank you. The server jokingly replied boring but my partner is a recovering alcoholic so the joke was in very very poor taste. Overall, loved the food and the atmosphere here but sadly our experience was tainted by our very pushy server.

We decided to visit Morton s which was participating in Houston Restaurant Week, and we were very delighted. To start, we relished the Center Cut Wedge Salad, which set a high bar. For our main course selections, my wife opted for the Land & Sea with Lobster Ravioli, Braised Short Rib, and Shiitake Mushroom, while I chose the Misoyaki Salmon Fillet accompanied by Baby Bok Choy, Shiitake Mushroom, and Truffle Yuzu Beurre Blanc. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. Our table shared a variety of sides, including Fried Brussels Sprouts, Parmesan Truffle Fries, Garlic Green Beans, and Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes. However, the standout favorite was the Smokey Joe s Macaroni & Cheese for Two an absolute hit! As the evening wound down, we indulged in a trio of desserts: Frozen Peanut Butter Pie, Crème Brûlée, and Key Lime Pie. Each dessert proved to be a delightful conclusion to our meal. Overall, our evening at Morton s was truly exceptional. The outstanding food and wonderful atmosphere combined for a memorable experience. Many thanks to Morton s for a great evening!

We all ordered the Wagyu steaks with lobster and we also ordered the lobster mac and cheese. The Wagyu for all of us was served (by my account) cold and the lobster was cold as well. I would like to believe that if the food was warm it would have been scrumptious. The lobster Mac and cheese was warm, not hot, and was very delicious. Our server was wonderful though, the service was impeccable and I would try it again, albeit maybe in a month or two. For what we paid overall it was not worth it, it was a nice experience overall though.

My recent visit to Mortons Grille left me with conflicting feelings. While the server provided exceptional service, the overall food experience was underwhelming, leaving much to be desired. First, lets focus on the positives. Our server was truly outstanding. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Their knowledge of the menu was commendable, offering recommendations and accommodating any special requests we had. Despite the shortcomings in other areas, the servers efforts were certainly appreciated. However, the same level of excellence did not extend to the food. Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes fell short of expectations. The overall taste and presentation were lackluster, leaving me unimpressed. It felt like a typical chain restaurant experience, where the food lacked any distinctive flavors or unique elements that would set it apart. Given the reputation of the Mortons brand, it was disappointing to encounter such mediocrity. Moreover, the prices seemed unjustifiably high for the quality of the food provided. The lackluster taste combined with the hefty price tags made it difficult to justify the value for money. It felt like paying a premium for a dining experience that failed to deliver anything exceptional. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant enough, although it didnt offer any remarkable or memorable features. The décor was typical of a chain establishment, lacking the charm and character found in more unique dining venues. In summary, while the server at Mortons Grille was exceptional and tried their best, the overall food experience fell short of expectations. The lack of special flavors and the feeling of overpricing were disappointing. If youre seeking a truly outstanding culinary adventure, it may be best to explore other dining options.

Arrived at 3:30 to avoid the dinner rush. There was no wait, few tables were dining. We sat at the bar area to people watch from the outside and more lightening. The bartender made an off drink cocktail which was light and refreshing. Much needed for this Texas heat. Our eyes were bigger than our stomach but everything we ordered was delicious and took leftovers home. This is the only Morton s Grille with other chains as Morton s Steakhouse. Both restaurants exceeded my expectations in hospitality customer service. This restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere and could visualize a lot of locals coming here for happy hour. Great location. Parking: Note for parking: It s easier to park near the mall / adjacent to the movie theater. Street parking is self paid and limited. My husband and I had our anniversary dinner at Mortons Grille in The Woodlands on Saturday 2/18/23 at 5:00 pm. I had made a reservation online. Nice greeting at the hostess station and we were quickly seated. We were seated at the dead center of the restaurant at a table for four. Next to us was a table of 12 very loud obnoxious people. I asked to be moved away from all the noise, but I was told no nothing was available. Even though there were tables for two all around us. We ordered two appetizers: broiled oysters. They were the size of a dime, absolutely nothing to them. Asparagus was served with our steak and lobster, it was hard and barely cooked. If they would have been cooked it would have been great. Overall a terrible experience. I really felt we should have been moved to another table as it was apparent a party was happening next to us. No one cared. The manager asked many tables how their dinner was, but not us. We spent over $300 on our dinner.

We had a 6:45 dinner reservation at this location last night. All the staff, waitress and manager were great. Food was amazing! Even though we had to wait over 30 minutes to get our bottle of wine. It was not chilled but the manager gave us a complimentary glass of pebble lane chardonnay while we waited. My complaint about this location is how crowded the inside was!!!! Tables were so close together that the backs of our chairs were literally touching the backs of other chairs from other parties around us. We had to make room for the staff to walk between us. Behind our table was a large party (20 plus), and we were being bumped by staff and guests walking back and forth. Then on our right side we were sat by a party of 4 with a nonstop crying baby and to top it off the mom was making peek a boo noises less than a foot beside me. We were having a double date that was less than enjoyable due to the tight fit of the tables. Not to mention that it was so loud in there. I was expecting a nice quiet dinner. We will never be back to this location.
