The lake area view offers a short trail with impressive wildlife diversity, especially given its urban setting. Located near an elementary school, its common to see many children around. For wildlife enthusiasts, mornings are ideal, as afternoons tend to be busier with kids playing and people fishing, which can cause some birds and animals to hide or leave

We love this park. The distance between the lake, playground, and fields is awesome. Makes for an easy - relaxing - and fun filled day. There are stickers on the fields.... so be careful slipping or going barefoot in the spring / summer. Playground: Well maintained. Swings. But no handicap swings. Toilets: Clean. Bring your own toilet paper for the womens - told they run out. Dog-friendliness: You can bring your friendly and quiet pups to play or hang out with you, but clean up after them. There are not designated areas weve found.

This is a great park with plenty of amenities. Our focus was on the playground, which includes some unique elements. The 5-12 area has a lot of interesting climbing equipment to interact with. There s also a more traditional playground set for the younger kids as well as a mix of cute and slightly disturbing rocking animals to ride. There are a couple of swing sets as well. As a good Woodlands park, Lakeside sits in a natural forest setting, surrounded by trees. The park is mostly covered by natural shade, but the smaller playground area has a built in shade as well. That s important for summer days. Sports fields, tennis courts, and two nice roofed pavilions are available as well. There are some picnic sites along the trails near the boggy lakeside. The park also features a relatively simple skatepark. And of course, the pool serves as a highlight of this community park. There are a enough amenities in this park to rival any other in the area. And the playground itself is unique to the area. Altogether, it s lovely and quite peaceful. This is a favorite of ours.

So grateful for the forsight of George Mitchell and this exceptional planned community. Great place for walking, biking, running or skootering in the shade on a hot Texas day in June.

Nice gem tucked away in the forest, has a little bit of everything: swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, soccer field, skatepark, fishing, kids playground. At night there are a few local teens who roam around but everyone seems cordial. A few months back I was here skating around 3am when me and the group I was with heard what we swear was the sound of ritualistic drum beats and chanting in the woods. Spookiest thing Ive ever encountered, we tried following the strange chanting when we heard several screams and then silence. Not trying to scare anyone away from here, I still visit fairly often but Ill never come back at night.
