The preserve itself is beautiful but compared to other nature preserves and trails in the greater houston area, a lot of the people that come here are highly inconsiderate of others. The bicyclist are by far the rudest Ive encountered and the amount of people with their tiny untrained ankle biter dogs off leashes is truly wild.

Amazing trail system. Only issue we have when running is the occasional individuals who dont keep their pets on leashes. Also once it cools down its gets very busy with limited parking.

Great adventure getaway in your own backyard. Once you get into those woods you forget just how close you are to civilization. Wonderful trails, bridges, ponds and quarries await. Go, you wont regret it if getting back to mother nature is your thing. We hiked but the bike trails looked good too. Varying degrees of trails, some more travelled and others more rustic. Have fun!

Love this place for a nice nature walk. Only negative I have to say is there are no trash cans along the trails, just at the parking areas. So people leave dog poop bags on the trail.

Toddler friendly trails, just come prepared with rain boots if it has been raining because the entrance is pretty muddy. The trail is wide enough for a stroller but if its muddy you wont be able to go through. Great breathe of fresh air, great family activity, clean and safe! Did not spot any wild animals other than squirels.

Did a 4.3 mile mountain bike trail on my Pint X. Pretty challenging for my first ride on this trail I look forward to crushing it in the future. Trails were well maintained and somewhat technical for a Onewheel ride. If youre not used to going over lots of pine tree roots you will struggle as you navigate these trails. I did have to dismount twice for fallen trees but other than that it was awesome

I do not feel bikes should be allowed as I have seen too many injuries to hikers from bikes taking turns too fast without being cautious for the rest of us. There should be specific trails for cyclists only for safety reasons.

Excellent trail markers with QR codes linking to online maps. Good trail maintenance overall. Such a treat to get out and enjoy the shade. Lots of cyclists and amenities for them, such as repair station. Generally they were polite and gave warning of approach, but you have to be aware. Pet-friendly. No restroom facilities on the Flintridge loop trail or parking area. Sections of the trail are wheelchair accessible, but some areas are too rough or the fill material, sand or wood chips, too soft for traction.

Loved the feel of being one with nature along these trails. All the same, this place could do with some good treatment for mosquito infestation. If you re looking to add some good steps on to your walkometers or other gadgets, good place to do it. Great place to go cycling as well. All the same, do not get out there without your mosquito repellants on and something to spray in hand too. If you re heading there after some rains in the area, be prepared to step back into your car with muddy footwear. Also, once your back to your vehicle after your walking or biking routine at the preserve, quickly open your door, jump right in and speed away. Any slowness in closing your doors and you ll have to deal with a bunch of freeloader mosquitoes riding along!

My dogs absolutely love this place and bark as soon as they realize where we re going. My only suggestion is don t stand around long because in the summer the mosquitoes will get you and in the winter the ticks seem to go after my long haired dog lol.

The trails were very nice, just one or two parts where motor vehicles went through followed by the rain which caused a little mud however, it didn t really affect the hike. This trail is very well maintained and extremely well marked. We hiked 6.8 miles in about three hours eight minutes. Don t miss this opportunity!

The trails were in great condition aside from a little water about 2 miles in but I see that people have made a trail around it. It was quiet there today with only a few other folks on their bikes, so it felt like I had the trail all to myself. Will def come back.
