I brought my 2yo here for lunch after playing and when we first walked in I smelled a musty type smell but it was raining so I didn t think much of it. We sat down and our server was great but as we were finishing our meal my little one stood on the booth we were on while he was still eating and grabbed the wall and that s when I noticed the BLACK MOLD everywhere I started looking around and it was on the tile on the walls, on the ceiling, air vents, etc. half of the ceiling also looks like it s sinking no doubt probably from water damage. I can t believe they re still operating this location under these circumstances and exposing all their customers and employees to mold toxicity. We won t be back.

This restaurant chain USED to be my absolute favorite! You can tell they are having it hard with inflation as we all our. The quality of the food has went down ALOT. I used to go to the Conroe location when it was open, now that its shut down, this is the closest los cucos to us. Service was decent. Wasnt the best by any means. We felt like we was a burden or a bother to the staff most of the time. They did sing happy birthday to our daughter and brought her soapillas so that wasnt so bad

Good food and margaritas. All day happy hour on margaritas and beer on mon tue. Bartender is excellent and attentive. Food came out fast hot and delicious. Had the pick 3 enchiladas. (Chicken fajita, steak fajita and cheese) wasnt crazy for the tomatillo sauce I had on my chicken enchilada but it was good. So much food I have a nice lunch for today. Definitely could share with a date. A couple small happy hour margaritas and ed was a happy guy! Update, still good. Beef Fajitas for 1 was delicious! Enough for two grown man meals. 23.99. Update, excellent meal on Friday Happy Hour. A couple tasty frozen happy hour margs (just perfect for me) and the beef fajita tacos al carbon. Perfect, queso Rice and Beans all great! Service at bar was great as usual.

Very cute that they had Mothers Day balloons everywhere. Just wish it was more inviting with the customer service. Our server did not check on us. My order, I asked for beef. I got chicken. He told me that I said chicken. I know I said beef. As well as my friend told me, I said beef. I dont eat chicken. It was kind of upsetting to know thats how he responded. Never ask us if we need a drink refill. We went through our meal with no drink. Didnt finish the meal, obviously and waited about fifteen to twenty minutes for him to even walk by the table to ask for to go boxes. Didnt even suggest dessert. Just not good sadly

Food is good. My goto is the chimichanga or the Del Rio enchiladas. Sometimes the shrimp is over cooked. But most of the times is pretty good. Queso is good and the tables salsas are good as well. Parking: There is very limited parking directly in front of location. Most parking is off to the side a bit and is not to bad but not ideal.

The fajita steak meat is nowhere near the quality it used to be. They use a completely different kind of meat that was over all disappointing. After our food was dropped on the floor, three of our four checks were over charged. There were duplicate charges and fabricated amounts all together. When we brought this to their attention, they tried to dismiss the issue, and wave us away, saying the duplicate charges were not duplicated and that one was a refund when it clearly was not. It took over an hour of showing them the receipts and the charges on our bank apps and talking with the manager over the phone to find resolution that each staff member tried to avoid. The amounts did not match anything at all and seemed to be manually entered to pad the tips. The one check that had not been increased, was the only one paid with Apple Pay instead of a credit/debit card - which inhibits the ability to make changes in the system. Once everything was resolved the manager told them over the speaker phone to provide us with gift cards or something which they did not do.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN EATING AT THIS LOCATION!! The last time I was here with my husband, there was a piece of metal in my chicken stuffed avacado!! I asked to speak with the manager to let him know what had happened (dont know his name because he didnt even introduce himself) but he didnt seem to care or realize how serious the situation was, all he said was: sorry that is a wire bristle from the brush that we use to clean the grill, Ill comp your plate. If I would had swallowed that, this would have been a whole different story but I thank God for taken care of me. Servers are wonderful here tho!! Ive been coming to Los Cucos in The Woodlands for 20 years. That alone says a lot about the place. The food is always excellent and served up quickly. I always ask to be seated in Renatos area. The food was really good. Not great but good. It was the service that was lacking. Took my two kids and requested a booth so I could keep the little active one trapped near me. Apparently the waiter didnt like that I requested a booth because he had to go look for one. He was quick to bring the appetizers and the food so that was great. Food is excellent. A great Tex Mex menu with multiple seafood options and great fajita platters. I ve been here multiple times and each time is kind of a variation on a theme. The staff didn t seem overwhelmed but we kept getting forgotten, this trip my water ran out, and I chewed all the ice, twice thru the evening. And we were sitting waiting on the check long enough that I went to see if the host had it. They had closed our table without giving us the ticket so it was a whole run about trying to figure out where our server went and what went wrong.

Los Cucos is a definite must visit Mexican restaurant in the Woodlands! The overall experience there was fantastic! The service was excellent, the food was delicious (and not greasy) and the dining area was well maintained, clean, and busy. We came here with recommendations from friends. Yes, there are a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area but we were informed that Los Cucos had excellent food for very friendly prices. I concluded that their recommendation was good. We were greeted and seated rather quickly, even though the dining area was busy. *From the outside, the restaurant doesnt look that big but once you get inside, theres a pretty generous dining area. Soon after being seated, we were immediately greeted by our waiter who brought us drinks, chips and their fantastic salsas. The menu has quite a selection of items to choose from. It is very user-friendly, in the sense that there are photos for each of the foods listed on the menu. I have friends and family members that really appreciate a visual reference for each of the foods. After we ordered our food, it came out relatively quickly and were perfect portions! All of the food was fresh, handmade and most importantly not greasy. Ive been to too many restaurants where you are left with a pool of grease but the food here was prepared in authentic Mexican style and was absolutely satisfactory! The spices and sauces tasted authentic and not too much salt, making the meal really enjoyable. The staff here is wonderful and attentive! They really do excel in service which makes a big difference when youre paying for a meal out. They were professional and courteous! In addition for the adventurous, Los Cucos also has Karaoke on Tuesday nights. I give lost Cucos two very big thumbs up! They work hard to provide a great dining experience which includes great service, excellent food and a wonderful ambiance! I definitely recommend Los Cucos for a Mexican meal out!

We enjoy every single moment. The food, the drinks, staff, the wait times. The watermelon margaritas and Fried Stuffed Avocado with chicken or beef tacos, queso dip, salsa, chips were all a hit at our table. Our waiter was the best waiter all weekend. Great Tex-Mex. Of the couple of Los Cucos around Houston Ive been to, the one in the Woodlands is one of the best, same excellent food but also nice quiet and relaxed. Great for Woodlands neighbors probably too far off the beaten path otherwise.

Los Cucos is a Woodlands staple and has been the best Mexican restaurant in the area for most of my life. Their salsa is delicious with a umami flavor. It pairs well with any of their dishes and their house tortilla chips. I love coming here for their lunch specials. The Pollo Guisado is unique, savory and delicious. I love the texture of the firm but chewy vegetables that pairs well with the chicken and stew sauce. If you like Houston style Tex Mex of grand dining rooms with sharply dressed and attentive waiters, you will be greatly satisfied with Cucos.
