Play Street Museum - The Woodlands

About the Company

rating: 4.7

Play Street Museum is an interactive children’s museum and indoor play area purposefully designed to encourage a young child’s sense of independence, exploration, and creativity. By narrowing the focus of our children’s museums and indoor play areas to the interests and imaginations of children 8 and under, young explorers will discover educational exhibits and activities in a world specifically crafted just for them. Because of our deliberate and manageable scale, kids are able to self navigate to engage deeply in activities about which they are most interested and passionate. This freedom reinforces independence in the child and also has the benefit of creating a more relaxed and accommodating museum experience for the caregiver.

We did the full birthday package where PSM does everything from set up to clean up and it was a wonderful experience! We brought a few of our own decorations and a birthday cake, but it was wonderful to have everything done for us during the party so we could relax and enjoy the party with our son. I wish we had been able to extend it to a 2 hour party rather than the 90 minute slot, but we will book earlier next year!

Definitely worse customer service prior to this incident this used to be my favorite place to bring my kid to even the location in Dallas but after this they won t see a dime. We travel to Houston every 6months and for that time o purschase the passes I was told it was okey to get a snack from next door on my way back the new worker gave me attitude and embarrassed me in front of other customers and for that reason I won t support this place anymore I can get slime and activity and diy Below pictures each 6months apart and definitely won t be back

Great place to let my (almost) 2 year old rub around and play inside. The play stations are setup so sweetly with so much detail, she LOVED it. The staff are walking through cleaning and reorganizing the stations constantly. We spent 3 hours here easily, she did not want to leave, we will definitely have to come back. The school bus, food truck, and pretend house were her favorite. They also have cool little crafts and activities for older children for small additional fees ($4-$15) such as painting pottery, tie dye hats, etc. Theres also a small gift shop in the entry featuring some of the cute play items found in the museum. They only charge for children, not attending adults.

They were friendly and attentive throughout the event, making sure all the kids had a blast. The facility itself was perfect for a fun-filled party. On June 10, 2024 I brought my granddaughter to the Play Street Museum The Woodlands as I have done numerous times. For the first time EVER, I was completely shocked and disappointed with everything overall! The toys were everywhere and NOT on their respective places. Children were putting toys in their mouths and each themed room was pretty much empty with the appropriate toys! The Manager there at the time - when questioned about the toys not where they were suppose to be and multiple children putting things (toys) in their mouths and those toys NOT being cleaned and/or sanitized -she said and I quote ... its difficult to keep everything where it belonged and well you know kids! Yep, I know kids, what I dont know nor do I understand is in the previous times visited - the toys were picked up from the floor, immediately put into a container, cleaned, washed and sanitized before being returned to the designated location. We ALWAYS picked this place because of the interaction and creativity that was available to us and they set themselves apart from other museums! This is NO longer the case and disgustingly disturbing and disappointing!! Shouldve received a refund and another free day-something-an apology wouldve helped. Instead, nothing was offered from the manager on duty once I shared my thoughts and disappointment with her. She still maintained - well you know kids! We will NEVER go back! Which saddens me- my granddaughter loves this place.

We had the BEST visit! The staff is friendly and helpful, discreetly cleaning and organizing as the happy children move things around during imaginative play. In this weather when it is too hot or too rainy, my three kids beg to go to the museum! And honestly, I dont mind sitting comfortably in the AC either... its easy to keep an eye on all three usually from one seat! Well be back soon!

We booked the Play Street Museum for our four year old s birthday party. We invited our child s daycare class and any siblings, and there was something for all ages to do. What is nice about booking a party here is there was an employee who kept the party schedule flowing without my need to prompt partygoers to sit down to paint, sing happy birthday, eat and play. So I could enjoy my kids and our guests. Definitely worth booking for a party. Very clean and well organized fun space for littles. Highly recommend.

My son had his 4th birthday party at Play Street The Woodlands and we absolutely loved everything about it! The space is beautiful, the staff is attentive and so helpful, there are so many fun things for kids of all ages to do (even younger teens). The slime add-on was a hit and all the parents raved about how great the party was and how much fun their kids had. My friend even booked her son s party there for next month that same night after our party. I ll definitely recommend it to anyone who will listen! Thank you PSM for making my son s party so amazing!

The toys and set up was super cute but I wish there was a no shoe policy in place so that us parents feel comfortable letting our kids crawl and even infants have some tummy time with no worries while the toddlers and kids play. The floors were super dirty from all the shoes and the AC vent was black from all the dust. Not the cleanest place for little ones to be running around. Makes me question how clean the toys are Lastly the staff at the front were not the friendliest.. I don t think I d return an outside playground is cleaner!

My 4yr old daughter had a stellar experience here today (literally) for the first time by taking to the crayons, and coloring a solar system on a printed out sheet of paper. The space itself is bright, inviting, and mostly free play. Its filled with child sized structures that imitate a real world experience from getting an x-ray to washing your puppy at a pet shop. The best thing about these small exhibits is that they encourage parallel play that really captures your childs imagination. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. Although there was not much adult seating It was easily eclipsed by the fact that there is no admission fee for adults, which I simply overlooked. All in all, my daughter had fun and we will be returning regularly.

It was kind of just okay for free play. Came to try and see if we wanted to throw a birthday party here but not so sure any more. Toys were very worn and dirty floors with random plastic that the kids try to play with. Otherwise some of the sections were sparse. Theyre Melissa and Doug toys which shouldnt be expensive to replace the tattered ones. May be more catered towards Birthdays though. Best thing is they dont charge adults.

We had a blast here. My only problem was that I wish they had more toys. For example the Bank had only about 3 items to play with. The grocery store needed grocery baskets. I drove over an hour but I would only come here if Im the area. Love the concept and the staff was very very friendly. Good place to take the Littles if you live here.

Play Street Museum was wonderful. The staff were professional and made sure the toys were changed out and cleaned periodically. It was set up with different stations that allowed kids to use their imaginations while playing. The grandkids had a blast and didnt want to leave!

I love bringing my child here. Lots of different options for them to play with: magnetic blocks, food truck, trolley with wooden toys, Legos, a school bus, a bank, grocery store, pet store, hospital, house, spaceships, trains and cars. There are also tables for them to color or write. Parents can play with their children or supervise.

*EDIT* Owner reached out and addressed the issue. Kids had a wonderful time. Thank you. Really, your employee is just going to ignore us out in the cold instead of acknowledge us or letting us know it will be a while for you to set up... We have a reservation too... how hard is it to be nice insteadof making us standin the cold, wouldnt take but 10 seconds. Never coming here again.

We love coming to play here! Everything is so incredibly clean, and well-maintained. My child loves to come visit all the little stores, and they have a lovely craft area. We have visited a few times during Covid, because they check the temperature and make you sanitize. Love the staff and goodbye snack as well!

LOVE this super cute, clean space for kids to explore and create! My kids are 3 and 1.5 and I m excited for them to grow and learn here as they get older. They keep it SUPER clean and as incentive to get your kid to leave ( bc they gotta leave sometime) they have a healthy snack/drink to choose from when they leave.

I can t say enough good things about hosting a birthday party at Play Street! The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive I brought in decorations and food and they jumped right in to help me set everything up, from hanging banners to setting the tables to arranging food and drinks, and so much more. It was truly the easiest party I ve ever thrown. And the facility itself is just the cutest! The kids (ages 2-9) all loved it and the parents raved about it from the overall cleanliness to the quality of the toys to the imaginative, creative play the environment fosters. Play Street is truly a special place!

I dont want to share the secret. The size of the crowd, or lack there of is one of the things I love about this place. Cute concept. Clean, great staff. Encourages pretend play and creativity with their art projects. My child loves this place more than the childrens museum. Enough to do for hours and not get bored.

Neighborhood location with plenty of parking in the rear garage. Light, bright, friendly, clean, organized, friendly staff. Granddaughters loved the 3 hours we spent there. Because of the nature of the museum, mornings are more crowded than afternoon-nap-time. During our first visit there seemed to be too many people. We had been told they limit children to 30. There were over 40 that we counted, which definitely caused excessive noise and challenges between unsupervised children at times. A play-group of mothers sat themselves in the center and visited while their children ran from place to place unsupervised. But that does not reflect on the museum. The choice of snacks is limited, and while some are organic, they are gross according to my granddaughter. Personally, I do not see a need for snacks since food is not allowed in the play space. There is a small table outside for a snack, or you take it to go. BUT, we will definitely return because the memories made during the visit were priceless!!!
