I think they need to start checking the quality or cleanliness of their produce because I was in the middle of eating their crispy chicken salad and saw this guy in my salad . I wanted to throw up immediately when I saw it. The server was so sweet and kind, so I couldn t bring myself to bring it up to her. So my boyfriend and I just got up, paid, and left. Couldn t even look back at my salad.

I strongly advise against visiting this location. My husband and I went to Cheddar s on a Saturday afternoon and waited about 15 minutes for our server, who never introduced himself. While we can overlook some service issues, we couldn t ignore the fact that a small brown cockroach crawled out from the wall and onto our table while we were finishing our meals. We were appalled and stood waiting for the server to return for about 10 minutes before I left to wait in the car, feeling nauseous at the thought of eating in a place with a roach problem. When the server finally came back, he merely apologized and handed my husband the bill no manager ever appeared to address the situation. This experience was incredibly disturbing, and I sincerely hope the health department investigates this location.

We had a very bad experience at Cheddars in The Colony to night. The table in front of us who got seated right before us received their drinks and appetizers before we even got waited on. After we finally got a server he took our drinks and appetizer order and never returned with the drinks. I finally waved down a hostess and she told us she would get someone to help. Not sure that was a manager but she took our drink and appetizer order again. After our appetizer and drinks were delivered she finally took our order. My daughter had ordered a baked potato and they gave her fries. The Buffalo chicken wrapper that my daughter ordered was not wrapped well and my daughter ordered extra pickles and they never came. This was the second time in 2 years we had poor service at this location. So we decided to give it another try tonight but the same bad service. Not sure if they are under staffed or what.

My wife and I went out tonight for the first time in a year since we have a new baby at home (left him home). It was also our 6th Anniversary! Cheddars has been a long time favorite of mine...Although, this time the experience was a bit lacking. We got in at 5pm, it had a 20 minute wait time. I do not think that we ended up waiting 20 minutes and it is a holiday weekend, so no complaints there. The issue came with the food. We had the sampler appetizer and for the most part that was good. My wife complained that the spinach dip was off though and she couldnt quite put her finger on it (her fav). Then we got our main dish (while still eating appetizer), for my wife, both of her side dishes were messed up. She was given one side that was completely wrong, the other was a loaded baked potato that was missing the load. Her shrimp was a bit over cooked and rubbery, and her steak was in the same state as mine. I ordered tenders and steak, the advertised special. I will give credit, the tenders tasted awesome, hence the two star rating. The fries were room temperature and my other side of seasoned rice was pathetic. The quantity of rice I got was likely able to fit inside two bottle caps. My wife had about 6x more of the SAME rice under her shrimp and that was not even an ordered side!! Then there was the steak... The steaks were cooked to perfect temperature, but seemed to be slathered in cayenne and some other spice that really lingered and accumulated. I was only able to get two bites in before my mouth was on fire! I am happy to have a seasoned steak, and even put cayenne on my steak at home but this was a whole other level. My wife who has some Latin blood and eats spicy food at all times struggled with hers as well. She just happened to be too shy to complain as she forced herself to eat the food as to try to not ruin our first date in a year. We only addressed half of the issues a few at a time to the waiter. I suppose he was a bit distracted as he had served us each others plates, never refilled our drinks without being prompted, and never noticed that the sides my wife ordered were well wrong. They even had a brief discussion about the sides when ordering. Talking about the load on the potato and such. To his credit, he did go back and get her broccoli, although it did not appear to be steamed. As well, he brought the load out for the potato later. For my steak, he brought it back to the kitchen to remedy. The manager came by and apologized about the steak, and said he took care of it on the bill for us. Apparently, this means he compd the one that was returned and charged me for a new one. IE. charged me for my entrée twice and compd one of them. When I asked about it, he took off the appetizer instead. No one asked my wife how her steak was either, although, she ate hers so that is somewhat on us. Again, to the credit of cheddars, the replacement steak was well cooked and seasoned well. Sadly, it was too late for me to eat with my wife and we had to get home to relieve our babysitter. My wife and I left feeling very disappointed and sadly feeling discouraged about a future return visit. Granted, these feelings are somewhat magnified because it was our Anniversary date.

First of all the table, they took us to was dirty so I asked for another table. Then I ordered potato soup,it came out barely warm and it was more cream than it was soup, very very thick. There was a lot of waiters and waitresses, but it didn t seem any of them take the time to pick up a napkin or sweep up a table after someone left and the bathrooms were disgusting!!! if I was a restaurant and food critic, I would give this place a big fat D !!! This was our second time at a cheddars restaurant. The first time we had ribs that were cold. I did speak to the manager at this cheddars and he didn t seem to care much even after I showed him pictures of the bathroom. He said someone s gonna get in there and clean them, but I doubt it. We will never go to cheddars again.

My wife and I visited here as a date stop. The food was so-so and the service was mostly through a self-service ordering screen. A couple minutes after our food had been served, a couple of flies landed in my wifes food which was unfortunate since we were far from any bright areas that might attract bugs. I twice explained what happened about my wifes food to the server who just said thats too bad. I was expecting somewhat of a discount for what had happened to make up for the poor experience, but that didnt happen. With the food being so-so and the poor service, my wife and I dont think we will be visiting again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cheddar s Scratch Kitchen in The Colony, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Normally love Cheddars but had a bad takeout experience. TRIPLE CHECK YOUR ORDER. I noticed one half of our entrees (steak) was missing almost right away along with its side since the bag was so empty. Had to re park and go in to get it. When got home noticed also that our appetizer (spinach dip) was missing. Cutlery was missing. Arrangement of the veggie plate was haphazard with very little rice. The survey email after reminded me about multiple croissants that we also didn t receive. We love Cheddars normally but this was super disappointing.

*8/12/24 UPDATE:* Went back for dinner on Sunday, and I m happy to report everyone at the table was thrilled with everything. Aaron and Emily were absolutely wonderful. We got our delicious croissants. The food was great, order was right the first time, speed of service was excellent. They were on top of everything with a smile. Definitely the experience we ve come to enjoy over the years. Thank you!! You guys have got to do better. We stopped in on our way home from the airport for a bite to eat. We were promptly seated and the promptness ended there. We got there around 7:45 and didn t leave until 9:15. We were greeted by a waiter who told us today is his first day. We placed our order, and gave him patience as it s his first day. We never got our croissants. We ordered a broccoli and cheese casserole but got steamed broccoli. When this was brought to his attention, he came back with a plate and said put your broccoli on this plate, I need to go show my manager. No sir! Absolutely not. This is when YOUR MANAGER walks over to the TABLE and checks in on what happened and makes the situation right. We left things as is. Took 45 minutes to get our food when the restaurant was relatively empty on a Monday night. You guys set up the new guy to fail on day 1. He should ve had a more tenured colleague to help and shadow him to help learn the ropes and ensure a pleasant experience for the clients. My 2 stars rest predominantly with the in-store leadership team. Lazy!

Every time weve gone to Cheddars we have been happy with the food. In my opinion, the homestyle options are the way to go. My last meal was the country fried steak and it was delicious with the mashed potatoes. And the croissants should really be left for dessert. I love and frequent this place. However, this visit lacked a lil of everything. Service was ok as he said he was new. He did very well considering. My dinner came out right after my appetizer so I didnt have time to eat it. The chips were well undercooked. Whe. We told our server, we at least expected the manager to come by but nothing. I would like to send gratitude for this cheddar s location, for having an excellent employee name Mason. Every visit, Mason always delivered most professional greeting and services, that makes me extremely satisfied to come back. Sorry, I forgot pictures, but Cheddars is a common go to in my family. Good, down home food at decent prices in a comfortable atmosphere. After the fantastic sweet croissant they bring out, We usually get the chips and spinach dip for an app and then for dinner we share a rib meal and the chicken fried chicken meal. Lots of options for sides, but we normally do baked potato and broccoli or broccoli casserole along with fries and coleslaw. After the chips and croissants, we usually take food home. Never had a bad server. I will be back again. :0)

Ordered food online. Checked in at the time requested through text. After waiting with no other customers waiting, we went inside. Bartender printed our receipt to show we had picked up food when we had not. We continued to wait as she ignored us. Absolutely bummed. This review is about the service we received. Cant speak on the food, we never got helped. Hahahaha. My wife and I havent been to Cheddars in forever, so we made the drive to go. We got seated in the bar section and sat there for 30min without anyone helping us. The crazy part is the older bartender and the girl with the glasses in the bar section walked past us multiple times but never said anything, making eye contact and all. Next thing you know, others are getting seated around us and they got immediate service. I was blown away. We left and went to MI Cocina where the workers seem to care a bit more about their customers. I understand if its not your section but do your part and let someone know instead of pretending like we arent there. Weird

The service took nearly 2 hours in total to receive order. the service was okay with the waiters seemingly overwhelmed with orders which is not their fault so I dont blame them. Long wait time and extremely poor internet connection while you wait half the day for your food so you just have to suffer in boredom and hunger, so please be mindful of this before you go in. i remember i came here as a kid. this was my first time coming back after years (ate here yesterday) and the food was AMAZING. the nice and gentle waiter served honey butter croissants. the best appetizer in my opinion was the cheese balls, also the best ones i ve ever had. the blackened white fish was good. but my favorite side was the casserole because everything about it was so good. i ll definitely come here more often.

Disappointing visit. Seated pretty fast & waitress friendly & fast. Complementary croissants were warm & delicious. Not crowded at all so I was surprised that our food took longer than reasonable to be served & was served lukewarm which was not acceptable for the number of wait staff & diners in the restaurant. Steak was over peppered and not med rare as ordered but dripping blood rare. Not sure we will be returning any time soon

The pain killer was excellent. The complimentary croissant came straight from the oven. Delicious! However, none of the items we ordered seemed fresh. They were platted poorly and served warm in temperature. The Texas fries were soggy. The burger was bland. The fried shrimp were mostly batter. The penne pasta had areas completed cold. It seemed like it was heated in a microwave. The server was mediocre, to say the least. Big disappointment for from scratch kitchen.

I ordered chicken pot pie and got a pot 3/4 empty see picks. I ordered on line drove 15mins to pick up this empty bowl. Please look at pics I would not order online orders if so check it I will suggest if you do eat here check your food for sure $10 for an pretty much empty bowl.. I do not recommend..

We visited this restaurant for the first time. It took a very long time to even have someone take our order. The waitress was extremely overwhelmed with her section. Then we saw that my son and husbands glasses had lipstick on them. I walked them up to the front and asked for a supervisor. 2 supervisors came out, and they were both apologetic and brought them clean glasses and added a discount to our bill. But our food was not very good and we were just ready to leave by the time we had finally gotten our food.

Worst service Ive ever experienced. Waiting at our table for 20 minutes before someone came over to ask if we had been helped. We were told our server must have been in the bathroom, and were helped by someone else. The manager then came over and said hed comp an appetizer. Our group all eats healthy, and nothing offered was something we would have wanted to eat, so we declined the free appetizer. She then offered a dessert since we didnt want the other offer... really? We didnt take the appetizer because of health and diet concerns, so you offer a free dessert?? After that we still waited at least 50 minutes to get our food. Unacceptable. The food was fine, nothing to write home about. We had a 3 year old and a baby with us, both who are patient within reason, but they were pushed to their limits as it was nearing their nap time. (It shouldnt have been close to their nap time) We finished and paid, asked for a to-go box, but waited 5 minutes and said forget it and walked out. They need some serious help at this location.

Friendly staff and the food is always good. I love those honey butter croissants and cheese curds. Their buttermilk chicken sandwich is so juicy and such a big serving for the price. The drinks are great, and their lemonade is so fresh. If you dont know what you want to eat or people can not agree, cheddars is always a good bet.

The front of house staff was standoffish , there was major mishandlings of our reservation which ended with us finding somewhere else ,the manager later told us we dont take reservations while calling for other reservations. With the combination of incompitance and anti guest/customer conduct, just resorting to lying, and a refusal to take accountability I would advise anyone NOT come to this location if you have to make a reservation or have a large party. Within walking distance there is several better places like rock & brew with good atmosphere and well trained staff.

I come here maybe every other month, and this was the worst experience that I have ever had. I typically come during lunch but this time I went around 7pm. Under the table was dirty there was forks, food and napkins under the table. We had to ask for the host to sweep under the table and to rewhip the table. I ordered two sirloin dinners, which were over cooked, cold and the sides were cold. I dont think I will be back here, even though its close to my home Id rather drive somewhere else for better quality food and cleanliness.

Flame Broiled Perfection! Im in love! why why why have I been going to Whataburger. For less money I got a classic cheeseburger and generous fries. a burger so fat its hard for me to get My mouth to open wide enough. Do I need to tell you that it was perfect and delicious? it was carry out. instead of jumping in my car and sitting in some long drive-thru, I placed my order through Google maps. Then casually made my way to the restaurant to get my order. there was a complimentary hot buttered croissant in my bag. I dont think my life will ever be the same. I am serious it was fantastic. well I know where Im going to be eating from now on.
