Today July 28th I ordered dinner for 3. When container where opened,the order was Absolutely Wrong. Called restaurant a total of 3 times. So they refused to reimburse my monies. They admitted they made the mistake.The restaurant Refused to let me talk to management. Said she was unaware when manager would return. Told me she would put my name on her board. So whenever I came back, she would give missing items. So I beg of any of you, you want good seafood, Do NOT GO TO Baytown Seafood. The management is horrible,the quality oi food is Not what u pay for.The fish to hard and small. Glue your dentures in,the shrimp are hard as rocks. BEware

For starters we were sat by the host and waited about 15 min before anyone took our drink order. I ordered a shrimp cocktail but wasnt informed that they didnt have any crakers until after the food came out. Some common courtesy would have been nice. The shrimp had a weird texture & flavor like it was going bad, it tasted awful. When we complained about the shrimp the waitress said there wasnt anything they could do. We kept having to ask the waitress for things that were supposed to be in the order already. Personally I wont be coming back, you can bet 50/50 on food poisoning when eating here.

Excellent food becoming our favorite restaurant for a fact. But the waitress was horrible. Forgot multiple items from our order....Odered a completely different entrée than ordered and said yup her fault.... but never fixed it. Salad coming 10 minutes after the entrée was served. Whoever cooked today for my doordash order did amazing. I got the Newyork steak with grilled onions and it was to die for. Absolutely perfectly cooked and delicious. I had a side of baked potatoe and garlic bread. Also just as delicious. The cook today whoever that was is a keeper :)!!@

Had to make a trip back to Baytown seafood today because they didnt put my 2pc fish in with my 9shrimp not good customer service and they didnt really care to make it right, also my fries felt and tasted like they were scrapes from an eaten lunch 3 days ago. I try with that place but they dont seem to care at all, cant trust or support a restaurant like this anymore.

My order is wrong every time I get takeout. They tie the bag in a knot so to check your food, u have to rip the bag open. 3 fish and 6 shrimp shouldnt be too hard to count but it evidently is for them. The food is good, prices ok but when u pay for stuff u dont get, its not worth it. 3 times is enough, I will never go back

I went and bought my dinner 2 of 12 and 1 of 6 of shrimp with fries and salad. The shrimp were shrimp cracklings with potatoes, the oldest ones that were greasy and toasted, they gave me all the leftovers I think and the salad was 1 pound of salad without tomato, without onion and all hot. And I also paid 9 dollars for 3 sweet teas. And that was hot water flavored with tea. And they told me to bring the food and well exchange it for you. When youre hungry, you drive to the house, 40 mnst to drive and 40 to return the food, its a horror. I called, they left me waiting to ask to talk to someone and they left me waiting for 5 minutes and they hooked me up... its the first time Ive bought takeaway there and its very bad because Im in that restaurant. Very good . Very bad service for to gou. And the service to the xkiente x phone is very bad and disrespectful, they dont ask you, they put you on hold and they hook you up with the call, very bad service.

Up charging me for a side that the menu clearly states is part of the meal, then, instead of the manager coming to talk to me, she sent her minions out to say it wasnt part of the meal... I see that they have been getting a lot of bad reviews but that never stopped me from coming because I never had a bad experience and I go there with my family at least once a week well I use to anyway went there this past Saturday took my daughter and one of her friends out we get there order our food so they brought half the order which is what they usually do I had combination rice and my daughter had the shrimp pasta I also ordered a seafood platter for my daughters friend and a two piece fish combo noticed a large group of 6 people came in 30 minutes after i had one of them ordered the exact same thing and got there food before I got the rest of my order and then their waitress was extremely rude when I asked how did they get there food because we were here 30 minutes before them and she tells me something about its the cooks fault and tries to go back and forth with me bottom line that was the worst experience I have ever had a this location but I will not be going back because much as I was going there they could have done so much better and I will make sure to let my friends and my company I work for dont go here and spend your money

My husband and I went to Baytown Seafood Restaurant on June 25, 2023, in the evening. If I could assign less than a one-star rating, I would. The service was deplorable; the food was subpar. My husband asked about a seafood sampler. There was none. Ok, no problem. Then he asked if he could order scallops and fish. No, he could not. He would have to order two or three different entrees to get what he wanted. He ordered two crab cakes, initially. My food arrived; his crab cakes did not. Also, my food arrived prior to my salad. When asked about the salad, the server said she was not sure that I wanted it or not because I had ordered it with no onions and no dressing. That did not mean I did not want the salad. Oh my...She went to get the salad. Meanwhile, my husband saw another persons order that looked appealing and asked the server what it was (catfish and shrimp). He ordered the same. When it arrived, the portion size was a disappointment... He was over the dining experience by this point and asked for a takeout box. The server walked away to get one. I had to call her back to get me a second takeout box AND to let her know that since the salad never arrived, I would like for her to remove the baked potato from the bill--to compensate for the salad. She informed me that she could not do that, and she could bring me a salad to go. I asked for a manager at this point. She went to get the manager who arrived at the table to ask if everything were ok. I said, I think we both know that everything is not ok. Incidentally, I had heard the server and the manager discussing the situation behind me prior to her sauntering over to our table. I then made my request of the manager. She explained to me that the owners would not allow her to remove the baked potato from the bill in lieu of the missing salad. She offered an insincere, Im sorry, to which I replied, We know that you are not truly sorry. At some point she offered a free dessert...to compensate for a missing salad...but could not substitute a potato for a missing salad...but could provide a dessert that cost the owner money...makes sense, right? Realizing the lack of care and concern for customer service, I asked her for the owners name and number. She informed me that she could not provide that information. Hmmm. Any reputable business has an owner and phone number When we went to check out, the server pecked and punched buttons on the register. From the kitchen entrance area, I heard indistinct chatter that included is that the lady, meaning me, of course, and the next thing I know, the bill is reduced by approximately two dollars. What changed? At the register, I noticed a handwritten sign with the words receipt and recieved. I took a pen, corrected the misspelled word recieved to the CORRECT spelling received, and was chastised by the manager who said, Maam, please do not write on our signs. I called back to her, I am correcting it for you, or words to that effect. It summed up the ghetto dining experience rather nicely. If you own this restaurant, please reach out to me and let us have a discussion. I notice that people who dare speak against this business are never acknowledged. Patrons afford you the opportunity to own this establishment. You might want to consider the feedback they provide. Thank you.

Hubs tried to pick up fried shrimp for us on the way home after a 15 hour work day only to find it had magically turned to grilled catfish when he got home with it. Drove all the way back from Galveston to exchange for right order. According to their remake food sign this is problem for them. Dinner at 9pm tonight I guess. This was the worst experience I ve had with this company. I ordered a fish poor boy and some onion rings. I should ve got the hint when the person couldn t tell me about the onion ring rings. When I got it home the fish and onion rings were cold. There was just 2 pieces of fish thrown on the bread. No mayo or tartar sauce on the bread. The veggies they had on the side. I have to admit that was the only thing I liked and actually enjoyed. I made a salad out of it because they were so fresh. Today my husband and I went to visit. We walked in and we were seated. It wasn t busy at all. Waitresses were standing around talking to other customers. Another couple came in after us and they were immediately brought waters and asked if they were ready to order. We had been seated for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from a waitress so we decided to leave. There were two waitresses standing at the front counter who just watched us leave and didn t try to stop us (another waitress was just standing outside on the phone). Horrible service. Drink didnt get refilled till we were almost done eating. We asked for seafood gumbo and got shrimp gumbo instead. We asked for crawfish seasoning and hot sauce when we ordered our gumbo and didnt get it till they brought out the hot wings 10 minutes later after the gumbo was served. Texas City, TX Baytown Seafood Restaurant ** My Sister and I wanted to eat seafood and decided to try Baytown Seafood Restaurant in Texas City, TX. Upon entering this establishment we were greeted @ the front desk by a Greeter. Another individual who was speaking with the greeter, walked away from the desk with menus and silverware in hand, not saying anything to us (Red flag). We asked the greeter if we were supposed to follow the assumed waitress, and she said yes. The waitress placed the menus and silverware on the table and left the area. We were seated at a booth in the rear of the establishment near the kitchen and across from the restrooms and just in front of the work stations. Only 1 star for the gumbo. First off the waitress we had was very sweet but knew almost nothing of what was on the menu. Ordered a meduim cooked steak and lobster. Steak was room temp and well done. Lobster was cooked thoroughly but very tough. The crab cakes were frozen and pre-made then fried. Crawfish etouffee had a thick layer of grease on top. Everything ordered was sent back and thankfully taken off the bill. After not eating here for almost 3 years I hoped they were better. Will not be coming back.

I went recently and was disappointed!! Calamari was very chewy! I ordered grilled fish with rice and veggies. No flavor and a bit tough. All of the fried food had an orange tent. One waitress, while talking to her coworkers kept hitting the booth I was sitting in. Gumbo was okay.

Baytown Seafood is a friendly atmosphere with great staff. The service is kind and quick. The food is teally good. You get a lot for your money. Made hot and fresh. They have call in orders or you can order at the restaurant to go. They have a variety of seafood meals and so much more. HORRIBLE food and poor customer service. Today was the first and last time I will attempt to eat at this place. I returned my food without eating it once, due to excessive salt.The waitress said she would have them prepare the meal without seasoning. When she brought it back it tasted the exact same. The waitress was rude.

Biggest bait and switch ever. Didnt have many food items that was on the menu. Im on vacation and wanted to eat good food for the experience and what you get here is Perkins, apples bees type experience and quality of food. Service is very unprofessional. On the positive side its affordable and generous portion. Their specialty is definitely the fried items. Its exceptionally good actually. But again, Im the coast wanting real sea food and had to settle for fried food. Nothing is fresh.

We are from Oklahoma and stopped by for lunch on our way home from Galveston. The waitstaff was on top of it as soon as we came in. Our waiter was great about explaining what was what and took very good care of us. The food was amazing. Will definitely be back when we are down again.

I have eaten there many times with friends and family went Saturday afternoon for lunch, every time we go the service is very friendly no problem finding a parking place it s always clean on the inside and so far everything I ve ordered has been delicious and the presentation was fairly well their food does have flavor and spices which is unusual for most restaurants these days. Do you choose wisely bring your appetite they serve large portions, or consider splitting an entrée that works also. congratulations Texas City you did well with this one!!

Food was delicious! My family and I tried this place out and I will definitely come back. We ordered the fried pickles. When they came out our waitress told us they were out of ranch. I was bummed out but they were some of the best fried pickles Ive ever had. Didnt even need to dip them in ranch. I ordered the fried catfish, fries and a crab cake. All were amazing. Some of the best food Ive ever had. The portions are huge too. Good food and its worth what you pay. 100% recommend trying this place out.

Dont know about yall opinion but in my experience, catfish taste like poop and the shrimp taste like bleach. Expensive for the poor service, but for me was 1 time and last one , I was so excited the place was so close to me.. but very disappointed :(

If you order boiled shrimp to go make sure you check it before you leave the restaurant. Have always been satisfied with Baytown Seafood here in Texas City until now Called in a order for 20 boiled shrimp drove 7 miles to go pick up the order and 7 miles back got home the shrimp was so over cooked that I could not peel off the shells .The baked potato was good and the salad was good the shrimp was terrible. Always check any boiled food you call in to go before you leave the restaurant.

Wonderfully selections and you can tell they care about the food because it was seasoned well and cooked fresh. I brought home a couple of the to go meals when I was tired from work and did not want to cook at all. I was very impressed and I make a trip to go get something from here atleast once a month now. Visited the TX City Restaurant, Aug 27,2021. Ordered the grilled Flounder. The fish was mushy (which is not the state of fresh Flounder) and had a strong ammonia taste. Told the waitress about the mushy fish. Her comment was a lot of people have been saying that about the flounder. I also said that there was an ammonia taste to the fish which told me it was a very old piece of fish. Nothing was done or said. This was my second visit to the restaurant in a week. Ordered the same thing the first time .and all was good, which caused me to visit a second time and order the Grilled Flounder again. Due to being served old fish and no response to the issue, I will take my business elsewhere.

When youre a tea drinker, and your tea glass is empty, you ask for more ice tea, a waitress should never bring a glass of tea and zero ice! Ordered grilled red snapper, it wasnt cooked all the way! It was disgusting and the grilled shrimp was tasteless! The meal was not worth $65 I dont know how they stay open!

Those of you visiting Galveston and don t want to pay high prices for seafood y all need to check out this restaurant. This restaurant is AWESOME!!!! Chicken fried rice was awesome, the snow crab too. However they were out of several items on the menu which was inconvenient. My Dad did say his catfish was salty, and the Mexican shrimp cocktail is really just nasty. It was rubbery shrimp in chamoy with onion and cilantro. Also, our server was not great. We had 5 children with us and he was not in the mood to be patient with us. Also when going to the bathroom a female server came in and just looked at me and two of my kids and was watching us wash our hands? And then just walked back out. Really weird and had me keeping an eye on her the rest of the meal.
