Ordered 2 sweet and sour chicken and a combo sweet and sour for take out. The food had no taste and seem like it was old this is the second time Ive had a bad experience with bland food and old not fresh food. I will never eat at this place again. I dont suggest this restaurant to anyone.

My boyfriend threw up and I did To. Food didnt taste right. We both got something that cost 11.34 something and we had to pay almost 30$ but not coming back here at all. I would put 0 stars if I could. Our server was also very creepy and made me feel uncomfortable

It was about to be rainy day I walked down to the restaurant of Fortune and I ordered some barbecue spare ribs and fried rice and I got a soup and an egg roll my food was very good I enjoyed it I think that they serve good food and the portion sizes are great so if youre looking for Chinese its a good place to go!!

I had hair in my food which was for my kids. I came back the next day to see if they can resolve the issue. There was no apology issued. I didn t ask for a refund, just to have one of the orders remade. They were rude and disrespectful. They pointed to a policy. They do not value their customers, just money. I came in peace too. No wonder why they can t afford to pay their rent. They are racist and always calling the police on Black people when the establishment was at fault. Please do not spend your money at this run down nasty establishment.

Wish I could leave zero stars! We came as a group of 11. Our waiter was incredibly impatient and looked so irritated. We had a few younger kids with us, and you could tell he was annoyed with them. Please read the reviews about the food! It has no taste at all!! Chicken fried rice was so disgusting and it just looked like it was gross. Overall it was a horrible experience. We were vacationing in Galveston for the weekend so I m glad I don t live around there and for THIS to be the Chinese food option.

Waitstaff have the attitude that you are bothering their day, The server said to me that he has to charge me a substitution, if I ask him to omit onions. When explaining why thats not a substitution, he got upset and said at the end of the day the money would come out of the cashiers pocket. Really sub level standards of business.

Been a while so I thought Id give them another shot. Its storming out and I didnt feel like cooking. Called ahead to order the Hunan Chicken combo plate. Its one of my old favorites. I love the sweet and spicy sauce. Well, what a letdown. Every piece of the breaded Chicken was severely overcooked to the point I couldnt even stab it with a fork. Im not sure when they made it, but it must have been very old. At least the hot and sour soup was good. Cant say I will be back, I can get this quality of Chinese food from one of those mall food court places. I know this is Texas City, and I cant expect gourmet food, but I should be able to get the item that the dish is named for to be fresh and able to cut or chew.

First time calling in an order, and some young Hispanic girl answered the phone and was very rude and hung up the phone. To this establishment serves the best Chinese food in the Houston metro area..I live inside the loop but once or twice per month I will drive to Texas City for my favorite...Mongolian Beef. It is to die for. The service is great, too. I also recommend other of their dishes, especially the chicken fried rice and the hot and sour soup.

5 stars for our waiter. He was very attentive but 2 stars for the food. The portion sizes were large but it didnt taste good. Jack In The Box has better egg rolls than you. The wonton soup was very salty. The rice tasted like it was from a box and the oil needs to be changed because all the fried food tasted rancid and left a bad taste in my mouth. I took the leftovers home but ended up throwing them away. This place needs some deep cleaning and some updating.

Not a big fan. Had this place years ago and it was good. Decided to try it again and I cant say Im impressed. The waiter wasnt the nicest. The food is sub par. I could get better chinese food at Mama Fu. The restaurant is outdated and doesnt look the cleanest. We had the sesame chicken and cashew chicken. The spare ribs were hard and dry. Wonton soup is ehhh a best 3 out of 10. My husband accidentally had mushrooms in his food and being allergic he asked for it to be remade. They just took the mushrooms out and sent it back to our table. We know because this was less than 2 minutes before he was bringing the food back. The restrooms were dirty as well. Wont be coming back. Sad they went downhill so much.

I used to really like this place, but they messed up my order of roast pork egg foo young and gave me shrimp egg foo young instead. Upon returning it the elderly lady which may be related to the owner tried to short me of my steamed rice and when I mentioned it she said, you people always want something for nothing. Mind you y all messed up my order. I politely said, just refund me my money, which they did and then the lady said don t come here anymore. I replied No problem because you re a sorry business person with very poor customer service.

I ve always loved Fortune Chinese restaurant in Texas City. They have had their ups and downs through the years. I ve eaten there many times and through many owners. I must say, it is getting worse every time I go there now. I went there today and as always ordered my favorite dish. General TSO. It s awful, cold and has been sitting on the side for a while. I wish I could give 0 stars.... I stopped to get food on my way to work and I ordered vegetable fried rice and a couple other items. Got to work only to realize that my order was wrong. I called the restaurant immediately to express my frustration and was told, by the manager that my next order of rice would be free. So, when I stopped by today on my way to work, the manager argued with me about the rice and claimed to have no recollection of the incorrect order. The sweet and sour pork and sweet and sour chicken were horribly overcooked, as you can tell by the photo I included. RIDICULOUS, AS IF SOMEONE WOULD ACTUALLY LIE ABOUT AN $8 RICE!!! I paid for my food and vowed never to return bcuz the quality is poor. Level of service is poor.... STEER CLEAR!!!
