Well, at first it was enjoyable but at the end of my 5 night/6day stay I had a problem with my ride that was to come pick me up and they came to the door 15 minutes after checkout time(now yes I know I was in violation of checkout time rules) but for them to just come in and pack my things and take them to some unknown location at the hotel and then tell me that I have to pay $109 to get my things back, well theys just crazy! They treated me like I was some kind of undesired person and that I had done something terrible. Told me I needed to leave the property or they would call the police! I couldnt believe it there I was standing there with my rolling suitcase with no vehicle in 100° weather and theyre telling me that I need to vacate the property and I had nowhere to go. I have found out that people in general really dont care what happens to people. It really hurt my heart I felt humiliated so needless to say I will never step foot on their property again and I dont care if I have to sleep literally on the street it would be a cold day in hell before I went back there

It is definitely run down however nice pool and very friendly staff. I chose this hotel because it is pet friendly. Super close to everything you need and super quiet. Beds are comfortable and room w king bed was large. Staff is super accommodating as we decided to stay an extra night. Will stay here again when we are traveling with our dog. Rooms: Pet friendly rooms. Be aware Safety: Very safe and quiet Walkability: 2/10 Food and drinks: Gas station to walk to Noteworthy details: Great staff. Very friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. Homemade pinto beans in the crock pot every morning, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, potatoes w sausage, waffles, cereal...etc....

Looks nice on the outside...the first floor was a big on the raggedy side. Stayed in 2 rooms in 1 night! Due to FLEAS! Omgoodness! When it was Motel 6...the rooms were really nice, no problems. Since the switch, its just not the same. Front Desk guy very rude!!!

Employees are friendly and helpful. Housekeeping does a very good job, and if you want specific things, just tell them, and theyll take care of it. I also really like the size of their rooms. And breakfast bar is good.

Pet friendly. $55 deposit but you get $40 refunded after your stay. We were able to get a room last minute while traveling. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Breakfast bar was great too.

Overall feel of hotel is lacking as the vibe is for a truck driver overnight stay. Parking lot was sketchy, room was definitely nothing fancy and marginally clean. The room next door had at least 10 people staying for the night. Unfortunately the Registration desk was located across a alleyway so management cannot monitor guests and situations.

The room is clean, they re very nice actually. I only have one complaint, the toilet is so short. I m 5 5 and I would have swore it was for a kid! Get a taller toilet!! We are traveling to Illinois for a funeral so we did not check out anything else.

We have been staying at this hotel for around 2 years. We are there almost every month except this spring because i had to have surgery. We have never had a problem with any thing in this hotel. We have even told other people we work with so they would start staying there. That was until today. We have always been checked in by the manager every time we have come but today there was some woman there who refused to check us in without my i.d. which we have never been asked for before. I was tired and hurting and the last thing I wanted to do was make an extra trip back to the car. So talking to myself as I walked out the door I was expressing my frustration. The woman accused me of calling her a name which I did not and told my mother who stayed in the Lobby she was canceling our reservations and if we didnt leave she was going to contact the police and have us removed and charged with trespassing. When my mom came out and told me this I was more than livid and went back in to tell the woman I wanted to speak to a manager, she refused and tried to tell me the manager only works for 2 hours a day which I know is a lie. I told her we have been coming there for 2 years and never had these issues. She informed she has worked there for 3 years but yet we have never seen her in the over 2 years we have been coming there. The manager checks us in and the manager checks us out. After she threatened me with calling the cops again and refusing to contact the manager I walked and this time i told her what I thought of her. This woman should not be in customer service and needs to fired. We will take our business elsewhere along with everyone else we work with. We have reservations until the end of the year and they will be canceled if something isnt done. I will not tolerate poor customer service and being accused of doing something I didnt Rooms: The rooms are nice size and always clean. very comfortable. Food and drinks: Lots of places to eat in the area.

I love the location of this hotel! They re getting all new stuff this place is great and not to mention the concierge, Eva, might be the best part about this place. She is soooo welcoming handles impolite customers with such effortless poise it looks like she can neutralize the most hostile people. Such a treat to have met her, the Super 8 in Temple can get my business at anytime.

I made reservations online in advance and Google maps took us to the location of the super 8 that had previously burnt down. Luckily we found one of the two super 8 locations in temple. They did not honor our reservation but we booked a room for two nights anyway.the night desk attendant was a very nice lady. Upon entering the side door to get into the room we were immediately knocked over by the smelll of marijuana.The rooms were ok although not as clean as I prefer. The air conditioner did not work well at all. The first night we were exhausted from our drive and the bed was comfortable. Saturday afternoon we did some shopping and upon returning went for a short swim. But shortly after returning to our room we were startled by a pounding on the door which turned out to be the day time desk attendant who began screaming at my husband and spraying him in the face with some type of aerosol in a can accusing us of smoking in our room and demanding 150$ cleaning fee. We attempted to explain to her that we had just returned to the room therefore it was not our room she was smelling the cigarette smoke coming from. She then threatened to call the police when we asked to speak to a manager. She yelled profanities at my husband and flipped him the bird. We decided to just pack our things and go. We will be filing a grievance with corporate office Monday morning!

When we got there we arrived late in the evening, the room we were given wasnt even cleaned. They gave us a new room, which was fine, until we needed to take a shower. The hot water didnt run. Lastly, we had the manager knock on our door at 10:30am, as we were getting ready to check out. Then as we were getting our stuff into the car, they came back and pounded on our door. I am a diamond member with Wyndham, which is the highest tear they offer, and this is how they treat us.

A very dirty hotel huge stains on hallways carpets.Elevator is broken and has been that way according to staff. Back exit door is full of junk. Roaches dead by the vending machines. Fly trap in breakfast area besides food full of flys. Front desk is rude. Same breakfast 7 days a week. No attendant so the area tends to be messy and food on counters when you go. Noteworthy details: If you are used to a clean hotel that adheres to Wyndham standards this one isn t for you

Room, beds and bath were decent. The rest of the hotel was pretty dirty. Had 2 mice visit us in our room. One of the doors was broken so people kept a rock in the door to get in. It stayed like that the whole 5 days we were there. Letting who knows, in the building. The housekeepers were very nice. Breakfast choices were slim picking. You get what you pay for. It wasnt the worst stay ever but I will not be using that hotel during our next trip to Texas.

Absolutely the cleanest pool in the whole area! Wished we stayed here sooner as we stayed at a place for 2 weeks before moving to Rodeway Inn, that costed more than double! The other place had an indoor pool that was disgusting! Rodeway in was a huge place, very quiet and peaceful. The pool was immaculate! The rooms were very clean and every day housekeeping was actually cleaning, and they used bleach! The previous hotel never even came to get our trash in the 12 days we were there and it was very dirty. Rodeway Inn gave off kinda a Shining vibe but in a good way! Ioved how it reminded me of the older hotels aa from my childhood and I appreciated that it wasnt updated in the modern type decor. Because it was definitely 100% cleaner than the high priced hotels and I checked out about 15 of them all through Temple to Killeen and Copperas Cove. This is definitely the best!

No a/c in hallways, room was not cool when we arrived. Updates very much needed. Carpet looked horrible and dirty. Ice machine not working on 2nd floor. Breakfast served 6:30-9:30. Arrived 8:45 and there was nothing to eat. Apparently the manager heard us complaining and did not acknowledge or apologize. Maybe there was shortage of staff, but we felt the manager should have spoken up. Will never stay at Rodeway Inn again or recommend it to anyone. Oh, and there were artificial poinsettias all over the lobby in May. Really?

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our stay was not great but good. I see that they are remodeling/fixing everything. The elevator was not working which was ok with us but could be a problem for others. We did notice that it smelled like smoke even though our room was a non-smoking room. Not the cleanest place but do understand they are trying to fix the place up. The breakfast was great with hot food and my kids loved the options!!! I would come back and hopefully all the things will be updates/fixed by then.

My flight was canceled and instead of the one night I had intended, I ended up with needing two nights. The hotel was a bit aged; various items had seen better days, but it was all functional. Expecting it to feel a bit run down I was very surprised with how much care went into it. The staff were incredibly pleasant, and you could tell they were all doing a very good job at their tasks. The breakfast was much nicer than I had expected. I checked out and needed to wait a bit until a luncheon, and watched the front-desk guy greet a number of folks who were exiting. He had paid attention to who they were, where they had come from and where they were going. I love watching someone who puts a lot into their work. It was one of the more pleasant inexpensive hotel experiences I have had.

It was not the cleanest, had terrible stains all over the carpet and lots of train noise due to the rail yard behind it. The shower temperature was a little tricky but overall, the bed was super comfortable and the shower was hot (after we figured it out). Not the ritz...and personally I think it was over priced for the quality...but it wasnt the worst place weve ever stayed in.

Smelly old halls, thin blankets, a slow flushing toilet that almost overflooded, ( I asked for a plunger and they gave it to me), and I didnt know it, but I pre-paid for higher price $75, but was given a discount upon arrival, (I found this out when I was adding a day, the cheaper price was voided), the door wouldnt stay locked and opened on red and green with the key card. The breakfast was good with a lot of variety, overall an over priced basic stay. This should have been a $50 stay not $75. Its as if they are just doing good enough to stay in business if you really want my opinion. They need to do some serious updates to this place.

This place is a disaster. Our bathroom sink was broke all to pieces and they had put it back together with silicone. Needless to say it didnt hold water. The water never got hot enough to shower. It smelled strange in the hallways. When the elevator did work it smelt of burnt hydraulic fluid. Only reason they got a 2 was there were no roaches.

Gross. Broken elevator, holes in the couch, bleach stains on the blanket, holes and stains in the carpet, couldnt tell you WHAT was smeared on the headboard, cracked sinks (yes both), toilet barely flushed, wouldnt stand in the bathtub for fear of catching something, all around horrible maintenance and guests fighting in the hallway all day. The front desk says theyre going through renovations, funny that wasnt mentioned till now. The front desk girl was super nice though and did her best for us. That was the only good thing about this place. Front desk switched our room, a little better but the toilet seat has a whole that was refilled with something, the bowl is cracked, theres mold in the shower, and the room is soooo muggy!

Ive stayed here twice. I forgot to review it the first time. Let me start by saying if youre a member of Choice hotels, this hotel is under that umbrella. You get points by booking from their website (Choice Hotels). Secondly, this is a fairly decent hotel for the price. Its not Hilton Garden Inn status, but its ok if youre on a budget. The hotel is clean and the gentleman up front was nice. The breakfast was pretty good. Its served from 6-9:30 AM. They had biscuits and gravy, eggs, mini sausages, pastries, toast, jams, coffee, and juice. Lastly, I feel whomever owns this particular location needs to spend the money to update the hotel. It needs new carpet for sure, a paint job, and to repair the ceiling over the bathtub. Other than that, its a thumbs up.

This place is cheap, and you get what you pay for. The maintenance is very lacking, from the parking lot, to the room. I merely decided on this place due to it being pet friendly, which I do appreciate about this chain. The room(actually whole place) was musty. The AC was barely keeping the room below 75. I ended up sleeping above the covers mostly just to keep cool. Also really didnt trust the cleaning of the bedding. Carpet was stained. I ended up taking all of the towels and creating a trail from the bed to the bathroom. Holes in the wall from a lack of a decent door stop. Paint and plaster falling from the bathroom ceiling from the humidity. Torn up moulding that was repaired with wood filler. Some creepy looking hair dryer that i dont even know if its meant to run on alternating current. Came straight from Edisons workshop. On top of all of that, my dog didnt even want to stay there. Normally shes comfy cozy in her kennel. When i set her up and went to leave, she started wailing. I didnt want to disturb anyone else, so i ended up taking her with me and adjusted my plans. The door was also an issue for me. I could hear my dog down the hallway, so im sure whatever happens in that room can be heard everywhere. I could hear people all night while i tried to sleep.

Hallway smelled like a combination of cat pee, mold , and cigarettes. All the carpets were stained. Walls in the rooms were very scratched up. The roof needed Lots of work epically in the shower area. We left and went to a different hotel. Also the room was large enough to have the fridge in a different location,but the location it was in you couldnt even open the door and get infront of the fridge we had to leane over the door to get to anything in the fridge because it was right on top of the wall and a night stand.Just know id never go back.two front desk workers were nice but no...

The price was right and the beds were comfortable. They had the best shower heads and water pressure of any hotel weve stayed at recently. Its an older hotel so theres a few cracks in the paint but shes in good shape for her age. The AC in the rooms worked perfectly and the breakfast was good. They had waffles, cereal, and things like bagels, toast and pastries. The biscuits and gravy were kind of gummy and instead of bacon or sausage they had those little smokey sausages but we left with a full belly :). We will definitely stay here again!

Bed bugs. Smells like mildew. No coffee maker. Cigarette burns in the bed with weird colored stains. One of the staff named Laurie was horrible while trying to get a room. Told me to shut up and quit talking because she was busy on the computer. Owner doesnt know how to run the staff and treats customers really bad. Bathroom floor is really dirty. Way to expensive for the price because of all the things this inn needs. A/c is dirty. Card readers dont work for any doors outside so anybody is allowed in the hotel. If you ask the owner for anything he makes it a big deal and does nothing about it. Tried 3 different rooms and all of them still had roaches. Flys get on your food in room. Non smoking rooms are smoked in. Would not recommend at all. Might as well pay the extra money for the quality inn next door. Booked for a week and now leaving after only 2 days. Got poked by a nail walking in bathroom in room 224. The owner and staff are too disrespectful for a paying customer. Created so many problems, tried too argue with me and lie to try to make it seem like they were right. Really immature management. My coworkers told me not to come here but I didnt listen.

Im a very forgiving person when it comes to hotels. The patchy walls dont bother me, the lighting, the mildew smell... but come on guys, the bathroom lock doesnt work and the toilet wont fill with water so I had to manually add water to the bowl to flush. please please please fix your plumbing.. very expensive for all the issues we had. :(

Good price, lobby was fine. Every piece of furniture, the carpet & my bedding were stained.. Didnt feel comfortable because of it. Only was there one night, but wouldnt book again

Not bad but not the greatest. Place is outdated and in need of repairs. No outlets by the beds, my room was kind of stagnant but the bed was comfortable. Pillows were flat and there were some stains on the carpet

This is room 212s door can not understand why they dont put the 200 dollars in to the door repair can not believe the audacity to put a woman and child in this room let alone anyone in this room( manager says door has been like that) keyless enter for anyone

Comfy and a great breakfast. Free wifi and the building has a Roman style. The only complaint I had was they charge for amenities like toothbrush and stuff so please dont forget them.

If your in a bind and dont mind a mildew smell then you should be ok with this place. No hotels in the area so this , I had no choice in the matter. I felt uncomfortable in the bathroom and I believe there is an hourly rate. So that may tell you what type of hotel this is.

They have the potential to be a great hotel for the price. Now the front desk was superb i just wish the rooms could be as clean as the lobby. Pros: front desk helped alot, provide lids for coffee cups, its an actual hotel and not a motel, coffee maker in room, tv was a good size and worked. Cons: wish the rooms were cleaner. Original blanket had white marks all over it was scared it wasnt clean threw it to the side. No comforters i really wish they had comforters make the bed more comfortable and make people more comfortable who do not travel with blankets. When we got a blanket from the front desk it was small did not help much and stained as well blue stain so less concerned. Top sheet had holes in it. In room 206 which we had booked into the rail in the shower is a great idea glad they have that almost fell but it concerned me because it seemed so loose. A/C was dirty like they do not get cleaned which is simple and they should do and the reason we did not use ac or heater. Shower curtain was nasty. Toilet seat was dirty. Room smelled funky but could be from dirty ac unit and cig stains noticed cig stain on tv stand and on bathroom counter. Dont even know if they cleaned the room before us or just changed the sheets stocked it and left. There was some nasty goop on curtain for window noticed it when i closed curtains. Looked like a throw up stain on the left side of the bed on the floor. Honestly wouldve been 5 stars if the room was cleaner need to get onto whoever cleans the rooms. Now for the people reading this who are smokers do as we did and leave the hotel when you smoke it was literally frozen outside and we still managed to go outside and smoke do the same. Anyways thank you rodeway inn for your great prices and great front desk help it really is probably one of the best of the hotels you could get for the price. But based on the how clean the room was it reminds you that you get what you paid for.

Great place to stay the night. They have good wifi, able to support PS4 online gaming with only a few issues. I believe its the cheapest place in town and its well worth the cost.

This place was very nice and relaxing. The room we had wasnt a deluxe. But just a small one with a fridge. And micro and tv. Like many others . The only thing. It needed the heater/ac. Repaired. We were ONLY there for 2 Days. So. Didnt bother with it. Very good service. Breakfast and other things were off. Due to the virus. Over all. A good stay.

Floors in the hallway hasnt been shampooed in a long time. No bedspread only a blanket, no coffee maker, the room needs a makeover badly. Bathroom door would not shut. This was a handicap asessible room. That meant there was one hold bar in the bathtub. No shower wand. No pull bar by the toilet? The toilet was not a toilet for the handicapped, it was a the smallest made. It was so low to the ground that I couldnt get up from it. I had to call my grandson to help me off! Rather embarrassing! What if I had been alone? Also there is no way to get a wheel chair or walker into the Bathroom, its just too small! I havent stayed in a Roadway Inn in quiet a while. I thought they had higher standards than this! I WONT stay in one again!

They have bed bugs. They know and could care less. Wouldnt even change us to another room. They probably all had them. After we moved out we noticed them throwing out mattresses. If they think just changing mattresses gets rid of them they are mistaken. They get in carpet drapes blankets,everywhere even behind pictures and headboard. Bet they didnt clean and spray ( not with just any chemical either it has to be for bedbugs) If you stay there and get bitten its bed bugs. And they can get in your stuff and you can take them with you in your stuff

paint is peeling in bathroom because exhaust fan doesnt work. Toilet is extremely loose. chair is worn completely out and needs replaced. No ice machine on first floor (didnt check second). rooms are very spacious (big enough for 2 king beds) Lobby was clean and well taken care of. halls were clean. hotel has both smoking and non smoking rooms but hotel does not smell of cigarette smoke. all safety devices were present and working. breakfast area was clean and well stocked. one thing unusual is there were no pens or notepads in the room.

So far so good arrived in the afternoon, was greeted with a smile and got a small discount. The room was clean. There just the basics items that you need small hand shampoo soap, and as you can see I didnt put a (s) on anything to make it plural LOL. Wi-Fi is available it runs somewhat slow but you have Wi-Fi. Lots of channels on the TV if you have children. The bed was a king size. It seemed clean no spots or stains Im that kind of person LOL . In waking up coffee was available in your room as well as some in the lobby. There was no noise from the outside or the street which is always a plus for me. I did see one bug but have not seen any since. So all in all I would say this would be a great place to stay if youre on a budget.

This hotel was Nasty. A big Roach crawled across my Face while I was sleeping. Then there were a few others in the room and in the shower. The old worn out mattress was one of the most Uncomfortable beds I have ever had to sleep in. My back is Killing Me now. And I have to Drive 8 hours today.

There was bugs in the picture frames, the bedspread was stained, the sheets had burn holes in them, the bathroom ceiling was falling part into the shower that was completely stained and fifthly. The towels were dingy. Never again. Not to mention disrespectful to an veteran.

Just not a 4-star experience. The security door to outside didnt even lock at night. There was trash laying about. The security latch to the room was loose and missing a screw. There were stains on the rooms carpet. And quite frankly the breakfast was awful! Me and another guest had to ask for milk for cereal, the gravy was bland and not hot, the muffins were not even palatable, and the breakfast sausage was one of those big smoked sausage things that was cut into slices...not what I was expecting at all. The good thing...it was $60 a night...

It wasnt too bad when we originally got here. The room smelled a little bit, but nothing you cant handle. There were tiny lizards crawling on the walls, but its Texas. Oh well. But we left for work in the morning, with the air on high. Because it was 102 outside, and we wanted it to be cold when we got back. Put the DO NOT DISTURB sign in the door. We got back, and the air was turned off, and the heat was turned on. My boyfriend went to the front desk, and she doesnt know. Okay.. Then we went to take showers, no COLD water?? Cool. Then dirty towels, a wad of hair folded into one, and weird stain on the other. Unprofessional, and gross hotel. Would not recommend.
