If I could give zero stars i absolutely would. Went through the drive through and waited 10 mins (literally no exaggeration) for them to acknowledge us, meanwhile their headset was on so we heard their entire conversation the whole ten minutes before he finally asked for our order after WE asked if he was ready to take our order. Then got to the window and waited 15 min (again no exaggeration) for them to acknowledge us again. Then after all of that they say they were busy making biscuits and they didn t have enough chicken for our order (a 10 piece). Each person we talked to had a terrible attitude as if it was our fault THEY did not give us a positive interaction. Absolutely not okay.

The chicken was good, however, the biscuits were to hard to eat. French fries and Mac and cheese were good, the kids enjoyed them. Service was professional, not overly friendly. We eat Churchs at least once a month and things are different each time. Sometimes the service is great sometimes not. Chicken is always good and most of the time service is good. Last week we got Churchs again and I am wondering if this is a new trend or just an oversight. We got the 10 pc family meal special with 2 sides and both sides were barely 3/4 full. I managed to get a picture of the coleslaw but the kids got to the potatoes before I could take a picture, however, potatoes were same level as coleslaw. Picture included.

Ordered family 10 piece and a large order of French fries was told a 14 min wait no problem ended uo being 25 mins and didnt receive my fries or jalapenos that comes with the meal after i was told they was in the bag called n called no answer lesson learned never trust them when they say its in the bag check it in front 5 dollars for fries i cant eat smdh

That s the worst chicken I have ever eaten!!! I eat churches quite a bit but that chicken I just ate had no seasoning or flavor at all whoever is cooking that is dumping raw chicken right in the flour!! I got original and spicy and they both was trash but how do you have spicy chicken with no flavor??? How??? And to boot, the got my order wrong and the young lady was less than customer service oriented! Close that location down. Last time I was there it was bad but not this bad. My mouth feels violated!

The staff are awesome. They really work to get your order out. I ordered the eight piece on Wed., the promo.... and the wait was 1 hour. I came back in 40 minutes, and they hurried and filled my order. They were v so nice. They have me a free potatoes and gravy for the wait on chicken. Theyre always so nice and fill my order really fast.

I didn t even want to give a star, but to leave a review I had to. Anyway this place is altogether the worst place ever including the corporation altogether. I never recieved my dinner for my family because they ran out of chicken. Then I was never reimbursed my money even after several months of calling them, door dash and corporate! I walked in after a long day of work to see this female at the counter staring me down looking at me up and down then I look at her to let her know hey I see you looking at me its rude look away now and shes still looks at me idk if shes slow or what?!? so then we get into a little yelling match she calls me ignorant. Told us that they were closed because they ran out of chicken Sunday around noon. They had closed the lobby but they were taking drive through orders. Absolutely THE WORST location I ve ever been to from Georgia to Texas. The female in drive thru did not understand an 8 piece meal mixed, spicy chicken with no thighs. She kept asking was it just the chicken like 4 times. I kept repeating meal . My husband even had to chime in and said, It s a meal ma am Then she kept asking, no thighs? like 5 times. I had to keep saying we don t like thighs but we want the 8 piece mixed spicy chicken meal. She asked will half and half be ok. My husband said, yes we get to the window and pay $30+ while the huge light skinned girl was laughing at whatever, it detaining was not doing her job correctly. She asks us to pull up to the front door to wait on 6 jalapeño bombers. We were the only customers there except 1 other person. They send the food out, the girl looks at my truck by the front door then walks around the corner of the building looking and came to my truck and asks if we ordered chicken? I said yes and took the bag she handed me through the window saying have a blessed day. I decided to check the food before I drove off. In the chicken box there were 8 legs and 4 biscuits, mashed potatoes with gravy and the bombers. I saw red. Got out my truck with the food while my hubby sat waiting. I took the food to the counter and an employee asked can she help me. I asked for a manager. A guy turned around and asked what s wrong? I asked him when does a mixed order of chicken comes with 8 legs? What chicken as a whole comes with 8 legs if I m repeatedly saying Mixed? I opened the box to show him. Some random employee that walked inside while we were ordering in drive thru said but you said no thighs . I wasn t even speaking to him/her. I told her/him that I could be wrong but I thought chicken came with other parts other than legs and thighs and I clearly said MIXED several times. Then the manager said so you want breasts too? and proceeded to put 4 breasts in a box and handed it to me. I m not happy. A store full of my race and all of them seemed unprofessional and illiterate. No one working in the whole place knows that an order of spicy mixed chicken included breast, wings, legs and thighs. Not only was my order wrong, they got me upset when my cardiologist told me not to get upset. I m not even hungry anymore. This location has turned me off from all of Churches Chicken locations. They need employees with at least a GED that understands English and how to solve word equations and listen and comprehend. Everyone was black except the little girl that brought the food out to me. I made this a point because their actions, thinking and rationalization embarrassed and upset me as a race. It s sad. They all should be fired and need a job not dealing with customers or comprehending. A mixed spicy meal without thighs does not mean a half and half meal with only drumsticks or only chicken. WOW.

This is my 3rd time going to this Churches and again it is not good. I ordered and paid on-line and when I went to pick up I was told to park in the front till the order was ready. I should have been by the time I got there. Sat there for about 7 mins and a gentleman came out to tell me that they didnt have corn due to the corn cooker not working. I told him OK just give me the corn and I will cook it; he of course could not do that so substituted with okra and mac and cheese. Waited for another good 10 mins and had to go inside to find out what was going on. It was just being completed. So, I had to haul all of it out myself, no offer from anyone to help (I ordered 6 orders of the chicken plus other items) $100.00 dollars worth of food. Only one other person was in the restaurant. Got home and checked all. All was there this time, but the smokehouse chicken halves look more like baby chickens or Cornish hens and dry. Not very appealing. Nothing like advertised and/or what my daughter brought home from another Churches. I am giving up on this place. Tired of trying to give them other chances in hopes that it gets better but has not.

Im not quite sure where to start. Well... actually, I do. I can lead off by writing that I had no earthly idea what I wanted for dinner. I had two kiddos with me so I let them choose. Chicken it is. Theres a chicken establishment about a block away from me but I chose Churchs instead. Why??? Because I saw the commercial for the Bourbon Black Pepper Smokehouse chicken. Enough said. I arrived to Churchs around 6:15. There was no one in line when I arrived. A young lady couldve very well assisted me but I guess she just didnt feel like working today. Go figure. Now...there was a young man working drive-thru who was basically doing everything. After I stood there a minute, he asked her to take their order. Get this guys...she actually had the audacity to mock him by asking who they were. Wow... just wow. He made a comment in response to her remark. I ordered a family meal that comes with 3 sides. I wanted two mac-n-cheese and one . No mac-n-cheese nor . Its not even 7. So...I ordered just chicken. I also asked about the new Bourdon chicken (the main reason I went to Churchs). I was told that would be an additional 20 minutes. No thank you. I finished placing my order and waited. As I saw cars leaving drive-thru that came after me I went to the counter to watch the orders being made. Three orders total (including mine) were being processed. My order had hit the 11 minute mark and yet no one started preparing it. The young man working drive-thru eventually started working it. Was it worth the trip down 31st? Nope. Their prices arent any more competitive than the chicken spots I normally go to. To each his own.

Was sure the jalapeño pepper I ordered was missing and I dont do churches sans jalapeño, city led around and pulled up to window and different woman at window. Told her I needed my pepper and I then saw my server notice I was back and from look on her face I knew she was not expecting to hear I needed a pepper. I did find the jalapeño under the liner paper and first thought it was one of the 2 I was given, I had already finished one pepper and thigh before i saw that I was mistaken and still dont know how I overlooked that first pepper in the bottom of 2 piece snack box. My bad, I did pay for the additional peppers which was a welcomed addition to enjoy. Churches pickled jalapeño peppers are just perfect for me, so flavor full and not an indigestion problem waiting to happen like every where else I have had to surrender the urge to order jalapeños unless I have pepcid on hand. That is probably TMI for most folks ( too much information ) good job churches !

Where do I begin. The parking lot was completely filled, but, we were the only customers inside? We decided to go in because the drive thru was wrapped around the building. I waited at the counter for Nine Minutes before being acknowledged and another Five before being greeted. The orders were clearly visible on the screen, but, it seemed every one was in slow motion. I watched them drop food on the floor and walk over it. When I finally got to order, I asked for the 8 pc Shrimp Special and at first, he said they didnt have a Shrimp Special. I pointed to the sign out front and jogged his memory. Im not sure why, but, I was charged $2.00 more than what the sign said. I didnt notice at the time. Then, I ordered a Lemon CheeseCake Fried Pie and as soon as I mentioned it, the Gentleman taking the Order said...They Nasty! I asked him why, but, he didnt say why. So, $13.61 later, I got my receipt...which was Blank??? So, I waited patiently for another 15 minutes to get my meal. There was a really weird undertone to this whole visit. The Shrimp were over fried and obviously not cooked fresh to order, so, Im not sure why it took so long to get served. To me the Customer Experience is as important as the Food and I wasnt really happy with either. I didnt notice till I was on the way out, but, the glass on the entry door was filthy! It will be a while...if ever, before I go back to the Churchs on 31st in Temple, Texas. Parking: Every parking slot was taken and a large truck made it hard to drive around the front since the lot was so packed. The Drive thru wound all the way around the building. It was well after noon, so, Im not sure why there were so many cars parked since there werent any people inside.

Where is the sanitation? I came thru the drive thru with three cars in front of me. I could see the clerk handle everyones money with his bare hands. Then got my biscuit with tongs then he pickrd something off the biscuit with his bare hand, then got my wrapped pepper with his bare hand and placed it in theback box with my other food. Not once did he try to clean his hands. I WILL NOT COME BACK. Totally unsanitary.

I went to the drive thru and when taking my order employee seemed like he didn t want to speak? After he asked what I would like I said the 8 piece he said said it would be a wait which was fine. Than I proceeded to ask for the items that come with the meal he than said they weren t available and said what do you want to do. The staff here act as if they don t want to serve you. I will definitely not be back or recommending this place to anyone.

For the most part the chicken is ok. But how many times can they mess up an order. My sister ordered a 2 piece meal with mashed potatoes and gravy, she got the chicken and nothing else. I ordered a meal with a Dr. Pepper and didnt get the drink I wanted. But like I said, no one is perfect, but if they cant do the job, then get someone who can.

Fabulous fried chicken with great flavor as always. I have to order 3 large mashed potatoes because it s my family s favorite of all the fried chicken locations in Temple. Great employees that are always friendly. Update 11/27/22 So twice in the last month I ve had to wait 20 plus minutes for chicken that s supposed to be pretty much ready most of the time. Today s 20 minutes was more like 45 minutes. Just a bunch of apologies and empty promises that they will be right out. Taking 3 stars away because this. Not at all quality or professional service.

RARELY LEAVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BUT We Stood in line for 15 minutes while people came up to front and looked at us and turn around and said nothing. The staff was making fun of the people ordering their food and two elderly people were given no consideration and were ignored. One lady in line turned around and said to us, I hope you like to wait! She was not wrong! My dad had to finally ask the staff, Excuse me! What is it in my order that I am waiting on? The guy said he wasn t sure and then started to assemble his meal with everything that was sitting right there under the food lamps! All the while you can hear 3 or more staff in the back cracking up like there was a party back there. In addition to all this, almost all the chairs are up on the table like they did not want you to sit down and it was only 5pm. In the other half in the restaurant the floor was covered in puddles of water from what was a leak in the ceiling. The staff was the most unprofessional fast food staff I have ever seen bar none and I am from the DFW area! They were constantly complaining about how tired they were. The hospital is located across the street and what could be a haven of comfort food for those who have loved ones suffering in the hospital it is instead a den of frustration! Oh and the food is ok compared to other Church s we have been too so consider avoiding this place at all costs!

Food hot and crispy.. Fast service and,lots big smiles. Out of whate meat but I stopped later afternoon. A smaller store but handy location at a intersection across for a large medical Center. Vegetarian options: Only veggie option is Coleslaw and yummy it was. Parking: Close to intersection so its a bit hard to time a safe place to pull in.

Every once in awhile you get a taste for something you have not had for a long while, you go and get it and the freshness packed with the flavor makes you wonder why in the world you waited so long... Thats what happened to me on this trip, the food was hot, fresh and packed with flavor the service was awesome and the prices were not gouged like most places, definitely a place to go f your wanting hot fresh chicken to feed two or twenty gaurantee you will not be disappointed!!
