We were greeted by a warm smile. It was the start of rush hour. The staff was well aware of the menu. Roberto was our server and has excellent knowledge of food. The food was served promptly and was scrumptious. Fajitas were made to perfection. Other things were as good. Overall a great dining experience.

I am from Chicago and this was my first time here. I got the beef fajitas (1/2 pound) and it easily fills up one person. The marinating and seasoning on the beef was mouthwatering! I also got a chili con queso on the side. Everything was delicious and Ill be back!

3 adults and one child. We ordered steak and chicken fajitas for the table. The meat was nice but there was about 1 tablespoon of onion and a couple of strips of pepper. Nowhere near enough to make fajitas for four. We asked for more and got a tiny amount more. Tortillas are nice but they are not insulated and do they are hard within minutes so you only get one fresh fajita. Don t think we ll be going there again.

On Saturday, August 31, 2024 at approximately 5:30 pm. I was treated very poorly by the manager Jose who could not tell me his last name. I was also hung up on previously by the online order staff trying to cancel order that was sent by google to the Sugarland location within minutes. They said they could refund money for order that was mistakenly ordered online for the wrong location. For a large amount of money. This was the most unprofessional staff I have encountered.

The restaurant was cold but very well decorated. They could adjust the temp to provide a better ambiance for all diners. The chips and salsa are subpar to other Tex-Mex restaurants. Salsa had weak flavors and the chips were slightly stale. 2/10. We ordered the beef fajitas and goodness they were terrible!!! They tasted like they ve been marinated in sour pickle juice. I was baffled. Never had I had sour beef fajitas. My child ordered a waffle and he didn t eat it due to it being so dry and cold. Would I recommend? No. Would I give it a second chance? No.

I visited this particular location yesterday evening after work for happy hour. A friend & I sat at the bar, the lady who was serving had a nonchalant attitude. I m big on customer service & for the first time in my life I felt like we were being treated different, because of the color of our skin. I had 2 sips of my drink & my friend hadn t touched his drink, when I decided to leave. I told the lady that we are leaving because of customer service, she shrugged her shoulders and said, oh ok I will never go back to that location!

I recently visited Lupe Tortilla Mexican restaurant to celebrate my uncle s birthday, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. Our waiter was incredibly rude and inattentive, barely acknowledging our presence throughout the meal. Despite requesting a birthday song for my uncle, the staff completely ignored our request. It was especially disheartening because they sang for two other groups celebrating birthdays right next to us. The lack of attention and disregard for our special occasion left us feeling very unsatisfied with the service. It s clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority. We won t be returning to this location, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience, well a birthday celebration.

Very fresh tasting Mex-Am food; all of the standards but great twists on them. Salsas that hit the table quickly with ample chips were really fresh and delicious. My wife and I usually visit this location at least 3 times a week. After the disrespect we experienced Saturday from the Assistant GM Jose, we will no longer dine with Lupe Tortilla. My wife had her service dog with her which has been there numerous times before and 2 other manager have seen the dog and have never given us trouble. Jose however felt empowered to tell us that it is their policy that we cant have the dog there with us. The dog wasnt a bother to anyone and this manager stated we could sit outside. Why would we want to sit outside in 100 degree heat and when we stated we werent going to sit in the hot sun he essentially kicked us and our 4 kids out. I find it funny that we have been here numerous times with this dog and never had an issue but as soon as this guy is working it is all of a sudden an issue. We will dine with a competing restaurant down the road that hires people that dont go on power trips because of their title and tell people they cant bring their service animal. I also told him I wanted the number to their corporate office which he refused to provide. He just gave us Edwins card with the restaurant number on their and said that is the number we could call. This guy was rude and disrespectful on every level and Lupe Tortilla just lost themselves a loyal customer.

This is our second time going here and I was not disappointed. The food is great and everything is seasoned to perfection. Our server Benito was attentive we just needed more napkins for multiple people. The manager Brandon even came to our table and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Sadly, Benito did not ask us what we wanted for dessert. But, he did seem overwhelmed so it s okay. The atmosphere was relaxing and the music was awesome. I would definitely recommend this location!

What was once my favorite restaurant is.now the worst! I spent $60 yesterday on a takeout with several of my favorite items in it. The cheese on the Enchiladas taste like cheese whiz, the ribs were so dried out I couldnt eat them, the tortillas were like rubber, etc. I wont be back!

Started with chips and queso, very delicious and great consistency. Next up, the Fajitas for Two and wow was the food amazing! Sizzling hot and ready to feast upon. The sausage and ribs with the pepper along with the well seasoned chicken and steak- every bite was amazing! The tortillas were delightfully huge and ready to be filled with the yummy food. Went to Lupe Tortillas for the weekend brunch. We were seated after a short wait. The staff was very courteous. The food was delicious. Even during brunch you could order from the full menu. Looking forward to taking more friends and family there. Wheelchair accessibility: While I don t use a wheelchair yet, I do have mobility issues. I noticed the ramp at the entrance and it did seem like the areas were wide enough for a wheelchair. I did notice a gentleman with a walker that seemed to have little difficulty getting through.

This was our second visit to Lupe T. They provide both salsa and beans with the chips! Large house margarita on the rocks was good (although mostly ice and went fast). We shared the 3-person fajitas dish that included steak, chicken, and shrimp. I requested some chopped lettuce and tomatoes and they were happy to oblige. Tortillas were huge! So, I made a burrito instead of tacos. Others ripped them in half. Everyone enjoyed the meal and we took some food to go, which we ate and enjoyed over the next 2 days. The service was very good and its easy for me to recommend Lupe T. Well be back and Im looking forward to my third visit.

Went tonight for a friends birthday dinner. Was told I could not order from the menu I had to eat fajitas with the party. Im paying for my food I should be able to order what I want and not be forced to eat what everyone else had. Fajitas were burnt and tough. They had 5 people on a little plate of mixed fajitas. Major issues separating tickets for payment. This was all prearranged that everyone was paying for thier own adult drinks and food. I was charged along with everyone else @$19 FOR ONE FAJITA TACO!!! THAT I COULD NOT EAT. We will not be back. Unacceptable to tell a customer they CANT ORDER from the MENU. Server also added 18 percent tip and closed out my card before asking if that was ok. She would have received more money on her tip if she had not done that. I do tip extremely well. I was a server I know how much they depend on thier tips to pay bills. Find somewhere else for a large group event.

It didn t live up to what I m used to when it comes to Lupe Tortilla. I realize that these are franchises and individually owned and operated. I was left waiting and wondering in the parking lot for my pickup order. No one came. I had to go it and search from someone to bring my food all the way in the expediting section. Our recent visit to Lupe Tortilla was marred by an unfortunate encounter with Manager Caleb Wales, whose unprofessional demeanor and lack of concern for customer satisfaction greatly tarnished our experience. Despite bringing legitimate concerns to Mr. Waless attention regarding our treatment, he not only failed to address the issues at hand but also exhibited a dismissive attitude and an inflated ego. Rather than resolving the problem, he chose to indulge in ramblings, further exacerbating our dissatisfaction. It is disappointing to encounter such poor management in an establishment that prides itself on customer service. Visited the restaurant during the swing, in between lunch and dinner, and chose to sit at a high top in the bar area. Our server was amazing. I had the Chicken Lupe tonight and it was decent. It had pretty good flavor. The rice had nice flavor too. The charro beans that they bring to the table when you come in were bland and needed lots of salt. The salsa also had something in it I wasn t a huge fan of. I know the salsa used to be different though. The tortillas also seemed awful chewy and almost stale. It was a weird texture. Service was good though.

Friday night dinner with a group of 8. They dont take reservations but they do allow you to put your name on the list in advance. I phoned at 4pm and put name and party size on list foe arrival at 7pm. We were not seated until after 8pm. Seems like it didnt matter that we called ahead. The wait staff was so busy that they could not give much attention. They made my drink wrong two times. All I asked for was a double Tequila neat. 1st time it came with ice. 2nd time it was not a double. The food is good and I will go back but I will avoid Friday evenings.

Ate dinner there on cold nite was last customer allowed thru the door,after no-one showed up for work only 1 waitress for few customers at their prime time onTuesday ! The waitress and mgnmt closed down half hour later. Was warming up my car in lot, The Mgr waitress she said Mgr, came out to my car and complained about her tip my friend left her. . 55 tab and 10% for two trips to table no check in cause she stated she wont be by our table cause she had o ly 2 other tables around corner . !! Wow no more service after water and food and drinks served . Ate left in a hurry as she stated she was closing soon early for this restaurant Ive been to before. She came out to both our. CARS AND COMPLAINED ABOUT HER TIP STATING SHE WILL GET IN TROUBLE FOR TIP LEFT AT 1 P % RATE!!!!! MY GOD IN MY WHOLE LIFETIME AND THOUSANDS RESTURAUNTS IVE Eaten at Even from larger city Im from in different state but here for 20 or more years have Ive ever been treated this way and by a so called Mgr!!! She was very abrasive and mean !! And told my friend she also went to his car and stated same complaints out at our cars she came to the parking lot. LSO SAID NEVER TO COME BACK TO HER RESTURANT!!! Lupe Tortilla is a Houston original with several locations in the metro. This one is always clean, busy, and has good service. Lupe Tortilla restaurants always have the same consistent quality. Beef fajitas and huge flour tortillas are the specialties. This is TexMex. People getting bent out of shape saying its not Mexican... Come on. Heres a clue: the majority of Mexican food in the entire United States is TexMex. A few are CaliMex. For authentic Mexican, look for a taqueria. Both are excellent cuisines. Id definitely recommend Lupe Tortilla for a family or low-key friends dinner. Prices are a little steep, but not as ridiculous as Pappasitos.

My first time eating here, I ordered one of my favorites the Chicken and Beef Quesadillas and they were not worth it. Taco Bells quesadillas tasted better than that and they separated them instead of mixing them together. I must say the atmosphere was good and the waiter was AWESOME.

Service was good and responsive but I was disappointed in my Poblano Chicken. The poblano was barely cooked (it was crunch) and the skin was still on the pepper so it hadnt been charred long enough to get it to peel off. The filling was dry chicken and cheese, very little flavor. My companions were happy with their enchiladas.

Forgive the misleading 2 star review and the itemized review choices below. I was a HUGE FAN of Lupe Tortilla until about an hour ago. Ive been a returning guest of this resturant for 20+ years because of their delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. Todays issue struck a nerve when I came in to order 4 beef fajita tacos (no sides, just tacos) and a large chicken tortilla soup. The waitress calculated the total order and it came out to over $60! I asked if she possibly made a mistake and she offered to ask a manager for verificarion. She returned and advised me that the total cost was correct. I found it very hard to believe and yet, maybe Im mistaken and the prices were just not what I expected for such a small, no frills order. I tip my hat to this establishment and bid my farewell as I left to spend my hard earned money elsewhere where the dollar still holds value in exchange for good quality mexican food.

CONS: Preordered lunch for a next day pickup at 1130. Next day the Food was not ready until 1204 and they forgot a gallon lemonade I ordered in addition to tea. I was told the manager would reach out, but to date, that hasnt happened yet. PROS: The food was good Overall: I would not use them again for my office catering needs and they are just across the street. I was and am very disappointed.

We were from out of town and this restaurant was recommended by local family members. We met them there for lunch the day before Christmas. The restaurant was busy, but the staff were amazing. They were all working hard; our server, Julia, was busy but still took her time with us. She was always smiling and created a pleasant lunch for us. We had fajitas; excellent. The manager was going through the restaurant just checking on patrons; nice. A nice lunch with family.

Ordered takeout Christmas Eve. Ordered ahead of time. Took too long, food was below average, forgot some of my order, and order was incorrect. Spent over $200 and the place was chaotic. Was not happy with our decision to takeout from here.
