What an excellent restaurant!! The vibes when I went with my fiancé was incredible. Classic R&B/Soul music on the record playing. Wine recommendations were incredible and the black angus steak I got was cooked to perfection. Don t usually leave reviews but felt they deserved it. Go check them out. If I could knock only one thing, it is kinda small but I can easily look past that

Most recent visit was Houston Restaurant week and had an awesome experience with a group of five. The three course choices for dinner were varied and tasty. Everyone enjoyed the food and ambience. The music was exceptional as well, although a tiny bit too loud for table conversation. We loved the work of a Local artist featured and will return to check out more wines and menu choices.

My wife and I dined here about a week ago for date night and it was our first time trying this place. From the start it was terrible. They put us at the front right near where all the greeters hang out. When I asked if we could be seated somewhere else they said this was the only spot they had available when I clearly saw there were several empty seats further inside the restaurant. The appetizer was horrific(it was called pork belly or something along that line) my wife got some chicken dish and I got the ny steak. I tasted the chicken dish and it was decent. My steak was terrible. I asked for well done and they couldn t even get that right. Long story short, we will not be returning here!

We have been coming to Vino and Vinyl for years. Every visit has been outstanding. Staff are so patient whether Ive come with one other person, a small group or a large group! Weve celebrated birthdays or have gathered just to hang out for happy and drinks. Same consistent attentiveness to their customers. This is one of my go-to local favorites!

We have been long V&V patrons but on this particular Friday night my husband and I had to leave because of the music. The N word should NEVER be played in music in a public venue. When we expressed concern about the music management said they had no control over what the DJ played. What!? That is not an acceptable response. Update based on owner s response: I don t know that I have ever heard a more out of touch and tone deaf response to a comment. The concern was about the racially offensive language in the music played and the response was the DJ plays to a crowd with diverse interests. There are censored versions of these songs but at V&V the N word not only doesn t need to be censored, it is promoted. Got it

Deserves one more star! The energy is infectious with dope music from 80s, 90s. Hip hop, jazz, rock, all the classics we all know. The wine selection is legit, and the food is equally tasty. You got to Vino & Vinyl for the music, atmosphere and energy. You could stay here 2-3 hours, no problem and end up downing 2-3 bottles. Go often if you want to have a great time with zero stress!

The food and the music are equally outstanding! From the moment you walk in until you get the check, you are immersed in a whole vibe. Major shoutout to the DJ and the Chef. They put it down! When I tell you, coming from the San Francisco Bay area of California, this place is such a VIBE. The food was beyond what I expected. Super fresh, not over salted yet full of flavors and preparation to perfection. The service is stellar. Lets not talk about that sweet red and the Italian Moscato. Redfish was overcooked and tasted fishy. Worst I have ever had. Crawfish toping on redfish was mushy and not fresh. Risotto balls were flavorless and served covered in tomato sauce which made them soft and the balls lost their shape. Nothing special on the menu. The place is small stuffy and the elevator reggae music was playing in the background, it was so loud, you couldn t speak to people at your table. Staff was incompetent and poorly trained. Food was brought out incorrectly. Overpriced beverages. Nothing good about this place. Will not visit again.

My wife and I had a genuinely good experience here on a late Saturday evening. We enjoyed the atmosphere and music being played as soon as we walked in. Dalton and the rest of the staff took great care of us and were friendly. Beer by the pint is $5 and wine by the glass were priced fairly in my opinion, but I will admit I don t drink often. However, we were very happy with our food choices. The fungi prosciutto flat bread was crispy and also naturally gluten free for anyone sensitive. I would highly recommend the octopus skillet since it was cooked perfectly and tasted excellent in the lemon butter sauce. We would love to come back again.

Wow! We kept meaning to try this place but hadn t made it until last night after months of wanting to go! We had great service, our waiter had lots of extra info for us since it was our first time and was very attentive overall! 10/10 Food - we ended up ordering a bunch of happy hour apps and loved them all - the meatballs are not to be missed! Wine/Vino - my husband had a chardonnay that he really enjoyed and I had a Pinot Grigio that was wonderful (they let us have tasters of the wines before ordering a full glass which was so nice!) Vinyl - the music was fun and relaxing and created such an enjoyable ambiance!

Came here to end off a girls night out after Perry s. We should have just came here first! I can t say enough about how we were treated by the staff. After realizing we left our keys at another establishment that was already closed, the owner went out of his was to go over and ask about them for us so we could try and enjoy the rest of our night. The bartender is even a level 1 sommelier and gave us some great suggestions without just making us feel like he was trying to pull money from us. They also had a DJ playing soft old school Hip hop (common, the roots etc) it was perfect for the vibe without being too loud that you have to yell to speak with your group. All in all we had an amazing time here! We will definitely be going back and have tried to send as many people as possible to experience it as well! They obviously love what they do and the level of customer service and care that was given to us was TOP NOTCH.

Our experience here was unfortunately one to remember and not in a good way. Although the atmosphere was lovely, the food and wine selection was tasty. The service was slow, we sat waiting for over 30 minutes for the check. The moment that turned the evening sour was when post dinner, our party of 5 was sitting and chatting, our table was cleaned off and we were told abruptly that we must leave as another reservation was there. The issue was during the entire 2.5 hours we were there not once did someone say we would need to leave at a certain time. Not even when they were cleaning the table. Everything was taken and we were asked to leave so another party to be seated. Unfortunately this put a damper on our celebration for the night. It wasnt the fact we needed to leave, rather in the manner it was done. Unsure if Id go back. Dietary restrictions: Options on the menu for vegetarian and vegans.

Came here on several occassions, so I am doing a new review (last experience wasnt good, it was rushed and people looked hectic). First off the food and drink is excellent. Today we had Micah wait on us and he is absolutely off the charts. Awesome server that understand good service and dining and a nod to the manager who hired him. The Empanadas are good. Usually when we come in people try selling us a cheap wine, we found a new wine we enjoy that Micah took the time explaining, we were here from Florida and enjoy so many dining options. We had even visited a restaurant he served at with a celebrity chef and chopped judge. It is nice to see all the food and culture in Houston/Sugar Land. Recently visited Huntsville Alabama and saw the food culture exploding, but the service fails. Service here goes above and beyond to create a unique experience.

We have been here a few times. I want to love it, because I love the idea of it. It just isnt all I imagine it could be. The by the glass wine list is short and feels expensive(we werent offered a bottle list), the lamb was over-cooked, the braised short rib was good but the gravy was burnt. The vibe, the feel, the idea of the restaurant is easily a 4 or 5 Star joint; dinner was more like a 2. Keep at it...we want the store to succeed...its just...not....quite...there...still.

Wow! The only word I can use to describe the food and atmosphere at this restaurant. The wine pairings were spot on making all the flavors pop. The space is limited, but reservations can be made using the Open Table app. The best time to go, in my opinion, would be when they are not too busy. That was my experience, and it was perfect for the date my wife and I were on. The music choices were pleasant and calming, the food was amazing, and the restaurant was winding down which made for pleasant conversation with my date, and educational interaction with the staff who were able to educate us on what we were eating, drinking, and even listening to. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes exceptional wine and explosions of flavor from an excellently curated meal. Parking: Parking can be somewhat limited unless you dont mind walking. Surrounded by several other restaurants, bars, and shops the walk could be entertaining or even useful.

Kicked off Restaurant Weeks with dinner at Vino and Vinyl. They set the bar high for the rest of the month! I ate on the patio, but inside looked intimate and cozy. Service was fast and friendly. Food came out deliciously hot. I had the prixe fix menu with black truffle cream mac and cheese, braised short rib, and panna cotta. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant.

If I could give this business zero stars, I would. Google will not allow it! The floor was dirty, the staff seemed stressed out. My food took forever. I paid way too much to receive the terrible experience that I did. I think that the manager was drunk, things were so disorganized. The service was terrible, and my server seemed like she had too many tables. It s too bad they don t have adequate staffing. The Music was so loud, I couldn t hear my friends. Sadly this is the third time i have gone here and they had an excuse of why we couldnt have a seat to have a drink. We were told, around 930, that they were short staffed so couldnt seat us even though they were half full and we said we only wanted to have wine. What a crock. We had a reservation for 8 people and they put us in a circle booth that barely fits 6 people. They had plenty of space but said they couldnt accommodate. Dont come here if in a large group.

I like to rate places on what they state they want to be. The wine list was unimpressive and the music was definitely not good. So the name is a cover for just a decent place to eat nothing special. My bolognese served with plane toast and was ok. I m bummed since to the right was an authentic Indian place which I should have gone to. The music was horrible. Bolognese was not meaty like something I d made in college. I couldn t taste chx in the chx dumplings. I think in general ratings are too high for restaurants. 2 means don t eat. 3 should be alright. 4 should be the food is solid. 4.5 don t miss and everything is good like parc in philly. So this is a 3.0 Food ok if hungry enough. Oh and the bar is too high and awkward to sit at. So it s kind of a fail. Btw the music I boring and bad

This place was fantastic the service was great everybody felt genuinely kind. I was not expecting such accommodation for gluten-free items. Probably my favorite was their fried risotto which is based off of the Italian arancini is gluten free and that was just fantastic. Will definitely be back. Gluten-free chocolate lava cake was great too! Octopus tacos were notible too

I havent eaten here but hear its amazing! This review is about the fabulous customer service I received from Cali, the General Manager. I needed a last minute gift as a surprise and found they didnt sell certificates online. She assisted me over the phone and made it happen by hand delivering the certificates to the friends I made the purchase for once they arrived and were seated. Much appreciated Cali, Ill ask for you soon as I get a chance to come in myself, thank you, you rock!

After seeing this establishment on the morning news , I decided to give them a try and what a experience! I wish I could ve given 10 stars because it s a vibe y all! The food was delicious, my hostess Kennedy was absolutely magnificent! And to top it off I had a chance to meet one of the owners and snap a selfie! He was such an awesome and down to earth guy! I drove 45 minutes to Vino & Vinyl, and will definitely be back.

The ribeye steak was tougher than a night in jail, but absolutely everything else was fabulous. The appetizers was amazing. Service was top freaking shelf. My server guy was so nice and helpful. Overall a very nice experience. Music was great! Wish I could give 5 stars, but this Texas and the steak should be chewable. I ll return, but will go with salmon next time J

Great selection but bar service was horrible. I sat for over 20 min for a refill when some guy was serving others then stood in the back like a deer in headlights didnt bother to check on me though my glass was empty. The short haired girl with freckles was great but it was like she was over worked doing everything. She was great and the manager im guessing but then she disappeared. So if service was better or one dedicated bartender it be 5 but service is everything. I used to bartend in very expensive clubs and customer service in the bar industry is everything

Met a friend here on a Wednesday, so it was very chill. Sat at the bar and enjoyed some wine. Then we ordered some food and I wish I took some photos of the dishes because it was all perfectly put together and tasted incredible. I had the Pork Belly Bowl, my friend had the Shrimp & Grits and we shared the Lemon Pepper Shrimp. I was not expecting how good the food was and was pleasantly surprised. This is a hidden gem so do not let the name fool you that it is only a wine shop. Great place for a date or a gathering of friends. Enjoy!!

Wind down in this cozy wine room; the atmosphere is sexy while listening to music spun on what some would call nostalgic, a turn table. The best was sipping a tall round glass of red blend wine or whatever your preference..Euphoric! The food is great as well! Cant go wrong at V&V!

We received a call cancelling our reservation for a party of 12. A celebration for my best friends Birthday, Jan 1. Unbelievable that their chef got hurt and their was no replacement available. Is that really a thing?? My heart goes out to Cali, its not her fault, and she did offer the birthday girl a gift card, so hopefully my friend picks that up tomorrow. But as now were stuck with no place to celebrate on a National Holiday!!
