I recently visited this restaurant, and while it looks good, that s about where the positives end. The service was the worst I ve experienced in a long time. I ordered a Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and to my surprise, the chicken was spicy, which wasnt mentioned on the menu. When I asked for a non-spicy option, they brought me another piece of chicken, but it was full of black pepper and still too spicy to eat. We also ordered some desserts to go, but the waitress brought them on plates for dining in. When we reminded her that we wanted them to go, she literally rolled her eyes at us. In summary, don t waste your time and money here. It s just cute for pictures, but the service and food leave a lot to be desired.

Misleading/ Food is NOT as pictured on website Menu- this place looked like it had Paris vibes with the decor and even has a French name but the food is Indian, all of it & it ok tasting. We ordered the burger and thought we were going to get what was picture in the website but those are photo ops and not the real food they serve. Our burger looked like it was frozen and hard, not appealing & no bacon like the picture on the website. There are no kids options either. Food is pricy too for what you get. I d say, if they serve Indian/Halal food to change the name of the restaurant and not make it pass for a Parisian restaurant with American food (that s what is shown on website).

You know how when you walk in and it gorgeous and you think, oh, wow, I found a hidden gem. Youre excited and then there is no signage to instruct you where to go or how to order. So you ask if you can sit anywhere or... and they say sure. After sitting youre given a card to scan for the menu. The online menu lacks descriptive information for the items. And youre confused about what this place is supposed to be. The menu is all over the place. Fusion maybe? I inquired about an item and the waiter couldnt tell me clearly what all was in Channa Chaat. The pictures do not accurately portray the dishes. I.e. the mint lemonade in the picture is lemonade with a few sprigs of mint. What came out was actually green. The drink was green. Upon googling Desi mint lemonade, I can see what I got. The place had soothing-ish elevator music on. It was great background while I read. Then the waiter puts on rap music. Doesnt turn the other music off, just subjects the patron to two, very different music styles. That was my hint to leave. As I walked to the counter to pay, a family came in and he turned the rap music off. No one ever asked me how my meal was or if Id like to order anything else. Which is sad, because I probably would have. Food okay. Service needs help.

Seating area including the chairs/sofas, table and also underneath the table is so unclean that it feels so u Unhygienic to sit and eat, seating chairs/sofas are full of food particles, stained and colored hairs all over, I had to walk around to look for a clean setting area but couldnt find any as they were all the same so I tried to clean the table and specifically the chair before sitting down but it cant be clean just like that as its not only dry dust and been there forever so it doesnt go away, so It is sad that we couldnt enjoy a beautiful place because of lack of cleanliness & proper hygiene! Food is wise, good & bad mixed! Ex: I loved the taste of Dynamite chicken but the quality of the battered chicken was soggy and didnt feel fresh, our Pizza was not cooked properly so the sauce and cheese were falling off the crust, Grilled chicken was really good, not dry at all and quality of the chicken, marination and grilling was on point, Kabuli pulao was good too, Chicken Alfredo pastas chicken was great but pasta was bland, Club Sandwich was ok Doodh Patti chai- didnt like, Vanilla Shake was good but took about 10 mins to get it on the table after asking for it 3 times! Uncle was nice but the employees were not very nice and professional! Overall- I wanna go back to try the other menus, but the hygiene factor holds me back! I would prefer a clean place over a fancy place where I wont have to be hesitant to sit before eating, especially when the place is a 50 mins drive! Hosted a birthday celebration at L Amour and had a great experience. Asif was so gracious and easy to work with, genuinely helpful and wanting to meet our expectations for the event. This is a taste a Europe. I love the atmosphere. Very sophisticated, cozy on a cold day for a book and warm drink. Management is extremely friendly and takes me back to a visit to Europe. We went in to l amour du cafe on Wednesday evening for my niece s bday party with 10of her friends they all had lots of fun the food was on point, interior design is so beautiful, the best thing i liked was customer service the owner was there and he was such a good host he helped us arrange the birthday so well and being around with so many teenager girls is definitely a task and he took care of everything very gracefully! The chicken pasta is probably their only item that is decent (reason why I am giving it a two stars and not one). As we stepped in L Amour Du Cafe we found ourselves awestruck by the stunning pink lighting cast by the Instagram-worthy LED lit signs. The wall is covered in signature roses and the luxurious gold accents gracefully reflect every surface. While the initial restaurant experience lacked a formal greeting or seating assignment, it had a casual and approachable vibe, which was suitable for a fairly new establishment that opened in July. As we settled onto plush velvet chairs, we were delighted to discover the level of comfort they provided, elevating the overall ambiance. The manager and an employee greeted us with a smile and friendly attitude, prepared to take our order. The six of us ordered five dishes including the Chicken Quesadilla, Loaded Nachos, Chicken Shawarma Roll, Chicken Chipotle Sandwich, and Alfredo Pasta and noticed the food they served is halal and all our dishes arrived promptly. However, there was a noticeable contrast between the actual dishes and visuals from the online menu. Take the Loaded Nacho, for example, whose online depiction featured a generous dollop of guacamole, yet arrived without it, accompanied by stale chips covered in cold cheese. On a brighter note, the chicken quesadilla was identical to its online portrayal, satisfying our palates with a delightful and authentic spiciness. The shawarma and pasta were impressively flavorful and visually inviting, with well-seasoned chicken, a nice crusted sear, and a hint of black pepper. For dessert, we treated ourselves to some Lava Cake with Ice Cream and Tiramisu, both of which provided a warm and enticing aroma. One slight issue we faced was when the lava cake failed to deliver the oozing middle we expected leaving us a little disappointed. The Tiramisu, however, was a delight because it had a perfect combination of ingredients that left us satisfied. Our total bill came to $84.00, which, at $14.00 per person, felt quite reasonable considering the amount of food we ordered. One thing we found unusual was the lack of complimentary water that most other restaurants provide. Having to pay $2 for one bottle with a tip seemed pretty unreasonable to us. In summary, L Amour Du Cafe stood out as a beacon of light in the Telfair plaza with a menu that offers both visual and culinary delights. Its a place where a few minor disappointments are outweighed by the overall satisfaction of a well-rounded dining experience.

We ve been here a couple of times now. The cafe is just so pretty!! I love the decor and the ambiance is so relaxing and soothing. I m a sucker for anything floral and this cafe seems so magical and regal, straight out of a Pinterest dream. The food is great! We ordered almost everything on the menu. I really loved the club sandwich, it was very delicious and the presentation of all dishes was impressive. My husband loved the burger and the Balochi chicken (which is perfect for someone on a diet). We ordered dynamite chicken, it was tasty but I wasn t a fan of the sauce, I would prefer a different flavor but nonetheless it was yummy. The pizza was absolutely delicious but I had just one small complaint that the chicken in the pizza was a little undercooked. But overall, everything was excellent, beyond my expectations and the customer service was phenomenal. We will be coming here a lot. The whole set up of the cafe is just so adorable. If you wanna take your girl out on a cute date, I will highly recommend this place. Trust me she will love it!

Very aesthetic and cute halal cafe, serving what seems to be a variety of middle eastern food and western foods! Staff was very attentive to our table and hospitable. The entire place is very warm, friendly, and inviting in nature. Be aware: we had a party of 4 and a 15% service charge was automatically added to our bill, so keep this in mind when tipping. Our table ordered the chicken biriyani, pani puri, chana chaat, and chicken shawarma roll. Drinks were the piña colada and mango mojito (both virgin). Chicken biriyani- AMAZING. Packed with spice, bursting with vibrant color, and our favorite item! Pani Puri- tasty, just wished the pani was a little spicier Chana chaat- Also very tasty! We asked for hot sauce and a spicy chutney on the side to add spice. We also mixed with the biriyani which was Chicken shawarma roll- LOVED IT. The meat was so tasty and the wrap was well balanced. Piña colada- Tasted like a lassi (with the sour yoghurt base), but coconut instead of mango. Also had a hint of pineapple. I was hoping for a regular virgin piña colada, but still enjoyed it thoroughly. Mango margarita- SO REFRESHING. It hit the spot in the heat of Houston. The mint and mango flavor combo was perfect.

Only halal cafe in Sugarland! A rare gem. Great for lunch or tea not so much for dinner. Service was top notch food was good. Very instagrammable decor. A bit expensive but was ok. I suggest getting appetizers and deserts since main courses are okay besides the zinger and pasta which was amazinggg. Owner was very nice. I d say the best things were the dynamite chicken, nachos, cakes, coffee, and pasta. Will be back!

Could be better. Great service, food came fast, and ambiance was great. HOWEVER, Pricey for what was served. 1. Pictures on the menu are misleading. The quantity is less. Like The Lamour Club sandwich shows 4 sandwich pieces, you get 2. Fries are small portions. 2. Lamour boss shows 2 beef patties, you get 1. Image show romaine lettuce, you iceberg (cheap). The pattie is small in comparison to the bun. You feel you are esting bun and lettuce. 3. Dynamite chicken needs flavor. It tasted simple like chicken dipped in Gram Flour. The dipped sauce didnt have much flavor. It did not meet the expectation. 4. A burger without tasteful cheese and the right amount is not a burger. You have an option, at least 7 other types of cheese: Pepper Jack, provolone, Swiss, Brie, Monterey Jack, Chedder, etc. They use a SINGLE slice of cheapest cheese on the market, American Cheese. You cant enjoy the great ambiance and pretty decorations if its not backed up by Good Food. Will visit again if we hear about food improvements made.

First time to this restaurant and wow! The inside is beautiful and inviting. We were greeted promptly and scan the QR code for the menu. I was surprised at the wide variety of food offered at this restaurant. There is some thing for everyone regardless of what kind of food you are in the mood for. I was craving Mediterranean food so I had the chicken Shawarma. It had chunks of succulently seasoned meat, marinated vegetables, and scrumptious sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch and plan to return soon!

First of all why you charged service fee? My subtotal was $48.93 Sales tax $4.04 Service charge 15% $7.34 Tip $9.00 Extra $20.38 I paid just for service fee, tip and tax. This is ridiculous. My experience at Cafe was unfortunately marred by an unexpected additional charge. Not only did I leave a tip for the service, but I was also surprised to find a service charge added on top of that. This left me feeling quite disappointed and taken aback. I believe transparency in pricing is crucial for a positive customer experience, and I hope the cafe considers reevaluating this practice in the future.

All the money went into the presentation of the place. The food was so bad, my brother got nachos and they were the same as school nachos, the exact same brand. Cheap quality food. Their coffees were just one third flavored water and the rest was just whipped cream. My load fries had several hairs in it. My sister had probably 3 bites of their quesadillas and threw up. The food was cold and of such cheap quality, My main course ended up being bottled water. Not coming again.

Entering the café, it feels very claustrophobic with all the decorations in a tight space. When we sat at the table, there is no one to ask us what we want to order. The service was quite lazy to be frank. The food was below par. The dynamite chicken was decent, but the quantity of chicken biryani and qabuli pulao was shocking, especially for the prices being charged. Overall, it is best if you take pictures in the café and leave.

Food is average but the service is terrible. For the order of $30 dollars they added the service charge of $4.34, which we didn t know and gave the tip on top of that.
