Upon entering the building the security, greeting was nice. The young lady at Signing in was helpful. Tabriz was my clinical assistant and he was very thorough with all the concerns and questions I had. There was no negative energy at my first meeting.

For 2-1.2 years I have participated in the RSV Clinical Trial out of the Sugarland TX clinic. The experience has been wonderful. Today is my last day and I will very much miss the staff here that I have interacted with during the 2-1/2 years, namely Tabriz,, Leandro and Amber. I could name ALL of the Clinicians if time allowed. Jose used to call and check on me ALWAYS concerned about me. Again, the experience has been wonderful.

My appointment was at 2:30. I got there at 2:17, wasnt called back until 2:40, and was told someone would be in shortly to take your blood pressure. Before I knew, I realized it 3:20 so I walked out. Everyone looked at me like where did she come from. I asked if there was a problem? I have been sitting in this room forever. The nurse comes in and said oh im sorry they never told me you were in here. I will never go back here again. Ive been here before and had no issues. But today was horrible. I literally told them I did not want to do the study and left . I will not return.

Overall the experience was very good. Staff was courteous and the organization and physical environment improved during the two years. My only complaint is that you agree to go to the clinic when you are sick. The first time I was really sick, I agreed to visit the clinic. Even though the staff knew I was sick and that I was coming at their scheduled time, it took them 30 minutes to get me into a room and then an additional 15 minutes for a the physician to show up. Only when I said I was leaving did they get in gear and see me. The next time I was sick and they needed to swab for RSV, the tech came out to my car and swabbed through the window.

Last year, had difficulty getting paid, & they re constantly changing the amounts & when they pay until it became so unstable, I quit. Today I went in to join a new study ( for which I was told I would be paid. After all was done, they handed me an American Express Gift Card. I had an experience with that last Week when my employer gave me one. I took it to the bank, & they told me all you can do with that is SHOP. You can t withdraw or pay on a bill with it. Several ladies kept giving me excuses until I gave it back to them & told them I can t do anything with that. SO I GOT TRICKED AGAIN!!!

I was a volunteer to receive the new covid 19 booster/vaccine produced by Bavarian Nordic, a well known pharmaceutical company, that is now producing its own m-RNA covid shot. I was pleasantly surprised that Ive had none side effects at all, while my immune response to the virus due to this new experimental vaccine was high. I trust Moderna, but my body was not that friendly to its known side effects each and every time. So as I was due for my booster, I decided to give Bavarian Nordic a try. All the personnel from DM sugarland was outstanding. From the front desk, to the nurses, physician assistants to the doctors involved in the trial. Visits are short, and speedy. Because of a family emergency I had to fly out of the country for a few days, and without a problem they were able to reschedule my visit easily to another day of my convenience. Everyone art this location has a lovely actitude, excellent bedside manners, they are all sweet and not pushy at all. The volunteer is informed of all the steps along the way, in each and every visit. If there are doubts, the volunteer can step out at any minute. But there is no crazy magic in a booster anymore, nor quackery. Science is science and can be explained. Large labs/Co, like Bavarian Nordic know their stuff. :-) Location at DM sugarland is pristine. They offer you snacks and drinks in and out of your visit, in case you come after work, or early in the morning, when you didnt have time to get bkf. Location has easy access to 99/90 alternate, US 6, and 59. Not crazy traffic like other locations. And they offer and monetary stipend for your time while being part of the trial. I was happily surprised of it Certainly a win-win situation.
