We visited Izakaya Ten for lunch today since my son s school was closed for the country fair, and we ve been meaning to get some sushi for a while now. This place was fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed my lychee martini, and my husband had a glass of wine. He ordered from the lunch special a 5-piece Nigiri + Maki Combo that came with soup and salad. My son and I got three rolls: Tempura Roll, Tiger Eye, and Dragon, along with tempura onions. Everything was great, and we shared most of the dishes with each other. We all agreed that we should come back again the next time we re in the mood for sushi. The total came out to $80, including tax and tip, which felt reasonable for such a delicious meal.

Found this place through a friend and pleasantly surprised by the great food!! Good quality and good service. There are a few specialties they have that are quite tasty. The chairs and seating set up is not my favorite or the most comfortable but food is good.

Service was eh, menu was greasy and had a free meal in there.Ramen was like water and slight seasoning package, no rich bone broth taste. The egg inside the ramen wasn t even flavored either. The noodles they choose felt like cheap instant noodles. It was so hot in there, I felt like I was outside eating. The bathroom was a sauna room. Wouldn t even recommend this to my American friends either. The best thing there was the Tater tots.

Ive been wanting to try a new Sushi spot for a while so we gave this place a shot the other day. Located in the old Spice Lane restaurant on Williams Trace & 6, its been completely redesigned. Nice, clean restaurant with a chill atmosphere. My daughter loved the wall of cats We tried a couple if different appetizers and two rolls. The Agadashi Tofu was good and well presented. The Baked Mussels came out hot and were good size, but there something about them though. They were good but I prefer the ones at another establishment we frequent quite a bit. As for the rolls, the presentation was and looked like art on a plate. They were good as well but seemed a little small to me. I didnt feel like I really ate anything after I was done and I ate 75% of both, my wife had the rest. If they were a bit thicker and maybe a couple of pieces longer I wouldve felt full. On the service, it was good. The waiter checked on us throughout our visit to ensure we didnt need anything. My only complaint would be that it took a bit for someone to greet us after we were seated, otherwise everything was good. Theres more than enough parking and handicap access as well. If you have kids, unless they eat this type of food, Id make sure they were fed beforehand. Unless I overlooked them, I didnt really see any childrens options on the menu. Again, this is a nice little spot but if Im dropping over $50 on a meal I want to feel full when I leave. That and the greet time delay are the reasons for the 4 s.

I would highly recommend the chirashi here. Its one of the best Ive ever had. It comes with 10 types of different high quality cuts of fishes. The sushi rice is top notch and well seasoned too. Tiger eyes roll has a well balanced flavor, I would recommend it for anyone who doesnt want raw fish. Overall, this place has nice atmosphere, great server, good quality Japanese food reasonably priced.

We stumbled upon this amazing little sushi place in Sugar Land. The ambiance is so inviting and the staff is incredibly talented and friendly. The food was absolutely outstanding, exceeding all of our expectations. Its safe to say that weve found a new favorite sushi spot in the area! TONY provided exceptional service, and my husband, son, and I had a fantastic evening. Truffle HAMACHI is highly recommended for its rich and earthy flavor profile combined with the delicate taste of HAMACHI.

I ordered a spider roll on a Saturday afternoon and frankly it was hands down the worst sushi I have ever eaten. It seemed fresh, but tasted dull. It might have been improved by the spicy mayo that was supposed to be included, but alas it was missing (this was a to go order and therefore i didnt learn this until i was well away from the restaurant) and this roll was dry and unsatisfying. I didnt even finish it. Will not return.

We have a lovely time every time we dine here. Fantastic food; we have to have the veggie tempura and the tuna nachos every time we go, and we try a new sushi roll each time. They have some fantastic cocktails; mine had lychee juice. Last time we were there for lunch, and I had a perfect mug of matcha tea and potato croquette with our meal - yummm. The decor is so cute too! Love the whale & cat mural.

Not many places in Houston have Chu Toro. The Izakaya food was mostly spot on: great grilled squid, takoyaki was light, karaage actually made with dark meat. This would be passable Izakaya food in the backstreets of Shinjuku. FYI Wilson Lau owns a restaurant near this one, bad form leaving 1 star reviews on your competitors

Atmosphere felt very cozy and the sauce for the sushi was excellent! The food took longer than expected and some of the food was overpriced. I ordered the beef udon and it had no salt. The soy sauce bottle was not very good since if you tilt it a bit there is too little sauce if you tilt it a little bit more it pours way too much. Food was also very average nothing special. There is a lot of potential in this restaurant it just needs improvement on the food.

The restaurant was decorated with cats, large cats, small cats, Yoda cat, superman cat, etc. The food was very good. The octopus and the ramen were piping hot. The Gindara (miso marinated black cod ) was very tender.bThe portions, however, were on the small side. We thought we had ordered enough but ended up adding two more. We spent over $30 per person with no left over.

This establishment stands out for its late-night opening hours, which can be quite convenient. We decided to try a variety of dishes, including skewers, sashimi, and ramen. Unfortunately, the skewers arrived cold, with a slight odor from the chicken. The sashimi was the only dish that met expectations, while the ramen was disappointingly bland. On a positive note, there is ample seating available, and parking is convenient. The restaurant has a beautiful bar area and TV screens for watching games, making it a suitable choice for larger groups or parties. Overall, its an okay place, with room for improvement in the food department.

Cute place! Walking in you ll be greeted by this life size lucky cat, and they have smaller figurines of lucky cat all over the place, very colorful! The murals on the walls were impressive as well. They have music playing in the background loud enough so you can still have a decent conversation with company. Their menu is pretty extensive. Service was pretty good and our food came out fairly quick. We ordered most of the skewers our server recommended. The chicken thigh with teriyaki sauce was surprisingly good. The salmon sashimi cut were pretty thick but fresh. The tonkotsu ramen was delicious, the noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth wasn t overwhelming. This cool Japanese restaurant sits in an unassuming outdoor mall in Sugarland. The venue is inspired by cat motives but finally with a good taste. Service is fast, kind and very personal. The food clearly stands out. We ate their classic roll without sauce. The fish was fresh, the rice was cooked to perfection providing a beautiful balance of unami flawors. Their other raw, cold fish dishes were also elegantly prepared with nuanced flavors coming through. Highly recommend the spot. Were certainly coming back. Izakaya Ten is an absolute gem in the realm of sushi restaurants! I recently had the pleasure of dining here and I must say it surpassed all my expectations. This place definitely deserves a solid 5 stars! The first thing that struck me was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. The attentiveness and friendliness of the waitstaff really added to the overall dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were more than willing to offer recommendations and answer any questions we had. Now lets talk about the food oh my goodness, it was phenomenal! The menu offered a wide variety of delectable sushi options, all prepared with the utmost authenticity. Every bite was an explosion of flavors and each piece was beautifully presented. It s evident that the chefs at Izakaya Ten are true masters of their craft. Whether you are a sushi connoisseur or a newbie, this place will undoubtedly leave you impressed. Not only is the sushi top-notch, but the overall menu is truly amazing. Izakaya Ten offers a wonderful selection of Japanese dishes, all executed flawlessly. From their scrumptious tempura to their mouthwatering yakitori, every dish showcases the authenticity and attention to detail that sets this establishment apart from the rest. In terms of atmosphere, Izakaya Ten strikes the perfect balance between modern sophistication and a cozy ambiance. The minimalist yet stylish decor creates a comfortable and welcoming setting, perfect for a night out or an intimate dinner. If youre a fan of sushi and Japanese cuisine, Izakaya Ten is an absolute must-visit. The combination of exceptional service, remarkable food, and an all-around incredible dining experience definitely earns them a well-deserved 5-star rating. Trust me, you wont be disappointed!

We ve been here a few times and DoorDashed as well. The menu is diverse with something for everyone. We ve had a bit of everything here. I really like the crudos- the Hama chili and salmon carpaccio are delicious. I also like the sesame salad. My husband LOVES the karaage and could eat them all day long. He literally ordered 5 the last time we went. It s perfect with some cold crisp Lucky Cat beer served in a chilled glass. The kids love the gyoza and ramen too. The only miss I ve had so far is the zaru soba. The dipping sauce is too sweet, it s more like a tempura sauce that a traditional zaru soba dipping sauce which is more light, savory, and refreshing. I also like how they give you a bottle of full cold water to make drink refills way easier. The lunch special and happy hour menus are great value too. It would be nice if there was beer on the happy hour menu since it s a pretty standard option for happy hour. We recommend adding beer since it would keep us coming back and ordering more when we go. The atmosphere is nice. There are large booths with plenty of room. The service is great too. Everyone is friendly and attentive. We ll def be back.

The ambiences look good, a bit sparse with decorations, but I think it will look better at night time. Very extensive menu with both sushi dishes and also izakaya. I was in the mood for sushi only but their hot dish, small plates and izakaya looks very tempting. The spicy tuna roll I had were pretty good size and yummy. The crudo and sashimi was very fresh too. Im happy there is a new sushi bar in town and it will be a good spot to sip some alcohol and have a good time over food. Ill be back to try more stuff.

Cool addition to Sugar Land! We loved Spice Lane (what it used to be) so had to check this place out. We regularly try sushi spots all over the Houston area and really enjoyed our experience here. Ambience/seating/service We came in a Friday evening but early enough to catch the end of HH. There were people but it wasn t packed which was nice. I m guessing once word gets out more this place will be hot on a Friday so enjoy it now. The decor was cool and I loved the seating. They had mostly booth seating instead of tables so it felt like you were getting some sort of privacy even though you were seated in the middle of the restaurant. Very clean and service was on point. Food We ordered a bit off of the happy hour menu and some off of the regular menu. The only thing we didn t care for were the Brussel sprouts. The ones they made when it was Spice Lane were amazing and we were hoping they used the same recipe. Unfortunately they were bland and watery. Wings were just okay (full size wings). Aside from that, everything else was delicious and the fish was super fresh tasting. They had some dishes similar to Uchi which was cool to get out here. My fav was the kanpachi sooo good! The Lichitini was excellent and even their house hot saki was better than what I usually get elsewhere. I ordered the tempura roll off of the HH menu and it was surprisingly really good. They usually just taste like fried whatever but these were filled nicely and had great flavor. Also the Thai tea tres leches is not to be missed. I ll definitely be back and soon. If you re in the area check it out!

But the broth could have a stronger flavor. - chicken karage was not bad. Definitely worth it during happy hour. - salmon sashimi was good. It could be better if the sashimi was thawed fully. I could taste a little ice in it. - Philly roll, Rock n roll, Tempuuura roll, and spider roll were ok. I would not mind eating the rolls again but only during happy hour.

It has many casual Japanese comfort foods that are simply not available around here, such as those skewer items, potato croquettes and hamburg steak, all taste wonderful. Of course you also get nice sushis, ramen and rice. The service is prompt and nice. Food comes quickly. A really unique place differentiated from those plain sushi places on Highway 6.

My wife and I went here last night, and...it was shockingly good. We highly recommend Izakaya Ten. We had spicy cucumber salad, gyoza, 2 types of japanese grilled skewers (chicken meatball and fish cakes), tonkatsu ramen, and a specialty sushi roll. Everything was among the best Id had of each item, and the pricing was reasonable. Do yourself a favor and go!

Great new addition to the area. Everything we ordered was delicious. The teriyaki steak was so tender. All dishes were well cooked, the sauces went perfectly. Sushi was fresh and nicely dressed. Will definitely go back! They even have happy hours every day until 6:30.

If you like the feeling of a warm hug from your grandmother, this is the place. It hit the spot. Hamburg steak was 100. Friendly staff.
