This place has decent hot pot but the Korean BBQ isn t very good, their meat seems lower quality. I would recommend going just for hot pot!

I recently had an unfortunate experience with the receptionist at this business last weekend. From the moment my family arrived, I was met with a dismissive attitude and curt responses that made me feel unwelcome. This was the first time my family visited this business, which means we did not acknowledge their occupation layout. The receptionist asked if we wanted to sit on the curb or the overflow, I did not know what she meant, so I asked what it was about, and then I turned to my family to ask what their decision was Vietnamese. Despite my attempts to engage politely that we could stay wherever that was convenient for them, she smirked and shook her head with a racist, sarcastic attitude. This lack of professionalism not only created a negative first impression but also overshadowed the quality of service I was seeking. Its disappointing when a single interaction can detract from an otherwise good business reputation. I hope they address this issue to ensure a more respectful and welcoming environment for their clients.

Vegetables are cut too big, should be cut smaller. The two employees, fat with glasses and thin with glasses, served very enthusiastically and cheerfully but were too chatty. Not as much meat as SZ but overall will come back.

I KEEP COMING BACK, and they never disappoint!!! Everything is always at its optimal freshness, and I can say the same about the staff! They always keep my experience here so enjoyable, and leave me wanting to come back again and again! The Volcano Hot Pot family really go above and beyond to give their customers an amazing experience. From the fresh ingredients, to the great drinks, I would literally recommend this for people wanting a memorable hot spot meal. Vegetarian options: Their veggies, tofu, and other vegetarian and vegan options are so impressive! Im always so impressed by the attention to detail when it comes to giving EVERYONE the best dining experience! Kid-friendliness: They have a delicious kids menu, and their dessert bar will have your kiddos asking to come back again and again.

We came to this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday because my family LOVES hot pot and BBQ. The selection of protein is very nice, but there just arent enough vegetables offered. All we had to choose from was bokchoy, nappa cabbage, and broccoli. We had a nice enjoyable meal, the staff acted as a staff would working at an all you can eat buffet. They did not provide any special services, just like the hot pot places I have been to in Japan and Thailand. We finished our meals and went to leave, I paid the check with my credit card, and left a cash tip at the table. As I was walking out the door, the server looked at me and asked me if I was going to tip him. How rude! He assumed I did not tip him just because I didnt leave it on my credit card. We traveled 45 minutes to come to this restaurant given the recommendations from friends and the the reviews on Google. Because of this interaction we will not be returning.

This was my first visit here and I actually enjoyed the entire experience. The service was superb and the staff was very attentive to serving me when needed. My only negative was the mens bathroom, it was not up to cleanliness standards, so I can only assume the womens bathroom was the same. Other than that I would give the place a 3.9 stars for overall experience so I just round it off to four stars.

personally not a fan of hot pot, but went there for a family/friend gathering. It has a wide variety of foods, but it is difficult to say if they are exceptional or best quality. Some in our party opined that it could be the hours, as we came late, but even so, a restaurant should always offer consistent quality for any period during the opening. It is good but cannot be said to be special compared to those around the Bellaire and Beltway 8 eatery areas. Maybe good enough for Sugar Land.

Went there on a double date with our friends. First time there. The restaurant atmosphere was very nice. The service was great. The hot pot and Korean BBQ was great. They have snow crab leg also. The only complaint I have is their desert. Definitely need to improve. We have a fun time bbq our food. It is $34 per person both both hotpot and bbq. I would definitely come back again for dinner.

To celebrate my mom s birthday, I took my family to lunch on July 14th at volcano recommended by a friend. The food was ok except the carbs is not fresh and no kimchi, with a wide variety of options. Since I m lactose intolerant, I initially ordered an herbal soup base. After feeling a bit uncomfortable, I asked our server nicely if the soup base contained any milk or lactose. He tall skinny with mask said it didn t. I continued eating a little more, but my discomfort worsened. Having worked in a restaurant before, I didn t want to make a big deal out of it. I told the server that the soup base was making me feel unwell and asked if I could change it. He changed it for me, but his attitude became very impatient. After the change, he charged me for an extra soup base. When I inquired about it, he angrily shouted at me, You changed the soup base, so you have to pay for it! This startled my whole family. From the moment we entered until we left, I had been very friendly. Having been a server myself, I understand how hard the job is, and I usually tip 18% or more when dining out. However, this was the first time I felt seriously offended. The entire birthday lunch atmosphere was ruined by him, so I only left a $10 tip. I was really disappointed with their service.

Came here on a slow afternoon. As a hot pot and BBQ place, they had a hot pot only option, and a hot pot and bbq option, that worked well for our party as we had vegetarians who could only do the hot pot. However, now everyone in the party must be on the same option. This means vegetarians can no longer just opt for the hot pot option if there is anyone in their party who is doing BBQ, and they will need to pay more for the BBQ even though there is nothing they can eat in the BBQ add-on. We pointed this out to the server, who went to ask the management is they could waive this rule. He came back and said unless we were very-very-VIP, no exceptions which is unnecessarily inflexible, probably going to impact their ability to lure large parties, and also implies their policy doesnt apply if youre really special. Left a bad taste, so we went elsewhere.

I dont think its safe to put baking paper in the grill. After the baking paper is soaked in oil and heated, some of it started to fall apart. You might not notice it when you eat the bbq meat. No weekday lunch price. For bbq + hotpot, tax and tip will end up around $43 per person. That is very expensive compared to Gen all you can eat Korean bbq. Service was also subpar compared to other restaurants for that price. Food quality was ok.

I come here about once a week. The spicy is a must try and I crave it. I will come alone with my iPad and watch a show with my headphones in. The music is very urban/known hip hop songs. They TVs are usually on the news or sports. Unlimited crab legs and crawfish have always been fresh. My favorite is the dip bar selection and how thin the boil meat is. Everyone that comes into town I bring them here or to KPOT Kid-friendliness: Must be well supervised

Went here with my family over the weekend and had an amazing time. Service was insanely quick, we got here at opening and was seated immediately. This was our family s first time visiting this particular hot pot. We have been to several throughout Houston, but did not realize this one was right down the street from us. Amazing establishment, very clean, friendly atmosphere and exceptional staff. We are more than pleased and on this Mother s Day, my wife was pleased. Mission accomplished! We had a great time here celebrating mothers day! The mushroom broth was delicious! Theres a lots to choose from from unless seafood, veggies, beef, chicken, and dessert! Something for everyone - my boys love it!!
