One of the more unethical lawyers Ive run across. As a 25-year practicing attorney and chair of a district grievance committee I was appalled to see this lawyers conduct. She charged fees to an estate that were completely unreasonable and had no relation to the work that was required or necessary. It also appears the lawyer is engaging in practice in areas in which she has little to no experience. I hope she will review the relevant rules and not engage in such practices again. The following portion was added after the owners response: The owners response unfortunately reinforces a lack of ethics and experience on her part. First, she knows her fees were paid and received by her before my review and well before her response. Nonetheless, she suggests the issue is about the payment of her fees rather than her inappropriate and egregious fees for ministerial work performed. This lawyer has little if any experience in this area of the law. It also appears she is a novice lawyer that relies on court appointments to supplement her practice. While this is typical for young inexperienced lawyers, it is not an excuse to abuse the system or charge clients egregious fees. Based on a review or her invoices, it is clear she overcharges for work that is not necessary. Worse yet, it appears she has non-lawyers perform the work and bills as if it were her. That is not appropriate in any circumstance. Her comment that the judge signed an order approving her fees is partially correct. The judge did sign an order. The judge, however, did not review or approve the appropriateness of her fees. The reason there was no objection to her fees is because she slipped her billing records in without disclosing them to all parties first. A subsequent review of her billing records indicates the fees were inappropriate and the work charged for was not even performed by a lawyer. While many young and in experienced lawyers rely on court appointments to obtain business and make ends meet, it is never an excuse for overcharging clients or abusing the system. Again, I hope this lawyer will eventually grow out of this before it becomes a habit from which she cannot recover.

Nobody wants to face legal issues. With the help of Annie Scott she will make sure there is no stone unturned. While she makes the situation less stressful for you. Her team is awesome with communication and prompt. I appreciate her services as my lawyer. She didnt stop until my needs were met. I would 10 out of 10 recommend.

Attorney Scott was not only professional, but she was also efficient; in taking care of my concerns and requests. She was my granddaughter s Guardian Ad Litem, and all services rendered were marvelous, If I needed a lawyer; Attorney Scott would be my choice, without reservations!

Annie Scott was a beacon of hope to my family at a time when our options appeared limited and the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution seemed nigh on impossible. Not only was she able to defend my wife from an unjust accusation, her calm and empathetic demeanor offered emotional succor to myself and those I care about most. My children and I are eternally grateful for her services and I hereby recommend Ms. Scott wholeheartedly without reservation.

Ms.Scott was appointed to me by the court system at a time when I could not afford to pay an attorney. At first I was skeptical about how she would perform given the circumstances, but right away she ensured me that she would be treating me the same as one of her paid clients. I felt very comfortable throughout the entire process and she treated me with respect and it s something I really do appreciate. I would recommend Ms.Scott to anyone who is going through legal problems, she works hard and fights for her clients. Very professional and keeps you updated constantly. 10/10 experience with her.

Just got to say that for my experience with Annie Scott was amazing, excellent work I really was accepting my fate for a while but then she came and turn things around she fought hard against my case surely I strongly recommend Annie Scott to any one, I open up with some situations that I been going on with financially yet she still help me with that just by been honest about it and truthful. Jesus..... where do I begin? I was in uncharted waters. Career just began to take off. Family had begun to grow. Then i tripped over my own two feet and ended up in the criminal justice system. Being a former public servant, no one could see past my mistakes, but were human...right? When I was down and needed help Mrs. Scott not only stepped in, but she told me no lies. Everything she said she was going to do... SHE DID! Not only did she get me through this difficult journey systematically, but mentally as well. She assured me everything would be ok and it was. Attorney Annie Scott is beyond remarkable! She was there for me 100%- emotionally, mentally, and physically. She returns every phone call, e-mail, and is accommodating when you would like to meet with her in person. Annie is honest and does not take on clients for profit. Her one goal is to literally to GET YOU YOUR LIFE BACK- and it is a better life than the one that was destroyed. Annie is strong and can handle any obstacle that is thrown her way. We are extremley satisfied with the Service Mrs.Annie Scott provided for us represting my husband in fortbend county court house. Mrs.Scott Was able to fight for both felony cases , which was Money Laundry (and she was able to get him his money back ), P.O.C , and get them both dismissed. Also he was charged with P.O.M and got him 1day(which is 3for1) time served. I would defenitly recommened Mrs.Scott to Represent you in your case because she is always fighting for us and what is right .

I would highly recommend Annie Scott!! From the first time meeting with her she was honest and upfront and made us feel like our case was not just money for her. She doesnt sugar coat anything, she gives you the facts from the get go. She isnt one of those lawyers just bragging on herself trying to get your case. Even though from what I saw yesterday she has every right. There were 2 lawyers against her and she still came out on top. Mrs. Annie is absolutely the best. I sought out several lawyers before hiring her and she is the ONLY one that I felt was honest with me about what I was facing and the only one who actually cared.
