The place looks nice, it was empty so the waitress was pretty attentive. I got a simple two egg breakfast that came with hashbrowns and two pancakes. Which is a $14 plate so you would expect it to be a decent amount of food. When it came, it was brought on a cheap hospital type plastic plate, the eggs were soaked in oil, there were barely any hashbrowns and the pancakes were mid. I could have made a breakfast at home better than that and cheaper than $14. The strawberry lemonade tasted watered down and didn t taste like strawberries. Not worth the $5. And when I was able to switch that breakfast out for a strawberry and cream pancake, the waitress made upset that I wanted something else and snatched the plate from my hand. Like I am not paying $14 for eggs swimming in oil. The strawberry cream pancake was practically a pancake with a strawberry and straight up condensed milk on top. Like honestly just make breakfast at home. Anything would be better than wasting your money here.

I got the big*** burrito with a coffee. Coffee was just average. Nothing special, so it definitely should not be $4.00 Food tasted good, the hash brown was more squishy as expected, but it was fine. What I was most upset with was the price tag. $15.00? For a burrito and a small hash brown? This should be $8.00. Absolute maximum $12.00. It should be a crime to charge this much for a burrito and potatoes. Add the coffee (4) and tip, it was $24 for a very average breakfast. Will not come here again. They do offer 5% off if you pay cash which is nice.

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. We were told that we could sit anywhere, so we chose our table. The table had crumbs on it, and there was another empty table that was even messier. The restaurant was very loud and somewhat chilly because they have multiple fans on the ceilings. We ordered two basic non-alcoholic beverages, and those came out maybe 20 minutes later. We got our drinks, then we ordered French toast, turkey bacon, and a seafood grilled cheese sandwich. An hour went by without our food being brought to us. Mind you, the waitress never came back to check on us or update us on what was taking so long. Eventually, I got up and asked a random cashier what was going on. One minute later, the food finally made an appearance. My food French toast was not good at all. It was bland, even with the powder and syrup. How is that possible? My boyfriend also wasnt wowed by his grilled cheese sandwich either. At that point, we were just ready to go. Never again. Our waitress was nice, though, despite the fact that she never checked on us.

First time at toast after wanting to come for a while. The establishment is nice on first appearance but very small, the hostess put us on the waiting list and basically told us to wait in the car until our table was ready in about 30 minutes. We stayed inside and waited in the small waiting area, finally after about 45 minutes we were seated. We arrived at 1:10, after being seated and ordering, our food havent arrived yet at 2:45pm and have yet to be acknowledged by our waitress again. At 3:00 the first part of our food was brought out (not why all food wasnt brought out together) which was Taquitos and they were amazing! At 3:07pm the rest of our order came out which was shrimp and grits and strawberry French toast. The French toast was amazing! The shrimp had the entire shell on it, the manger personally took it back and remade it. Was sooo good! With that being said, well be back just a bit earlier thank you Toast staff!

Celebrated a birthday today. Waited an hour to receive food, half of the orders were incorrect and missing food. The server assured us that he would bring the missing food it was almost 20 mins and never received food. Another server came and told us they were out of the food and wasn t sure why the kitchen didn t tell the server. We asked for the manager and was told management had already left for the day on a Saturday! The server did discount the food, but would have preferred order being correct. Not full and fulfilled had to leave and go buy more food. Very disappointed and won t be returning.

As soon as I walked in, instead of the hostess greeting me, I had to walk up to her and give her my name for seating. Once we were seated, it took our waiter 15 minutes to take our drink order. We then ordered our entrees and it took a little over 30 minutes before receiving our food. When the food came out, it did not come out all at once. We ordered Spicy wings for an appetizer, my cousin ordered a breakfast burrito and French toast, I ordered a 2 egg breakfast with a choice of French toast and added turkey bacon. My cousins order came out first with the Wings and my turkey bacon. Which did not make sense because I ordered the turkey bacon with my 2 egg breakfast. I waited an additional 15 minutes for my 2 egg breakfast. At this point I m assuming my meal is going to come out Hot, but surprisingly, the food was not. The waiter did mention he doesn t know why my food is taking so long. For it to have taking that long it should have been Hot off the grill. This establishment needs to do better with timing and organizing their plating.

Attempted to try this restaurant out for a late breakfast/early lunch. Our experience went like this.... Walked in to be greeted by a young man who asked that we wait for tables to be cleaned. We waited several minutes to be sat on a 4 top that was split, after we sat down, into 2 - 2 tops. A couple that walked in behind us sat down next to us. The restaurant was super cold as several fans were on at full blast. We asked if we could wait to sit in a booth which were not directly under a fan and were told the booths were for 4 tops. Needless to say, 2 of the booths had parties of 2 in them as this was being stated. We stayed put without questioning further. After several minutes, a waiter came to greet the couple next to us and obtain drink orders. We were ignored. Minutes later, the same young man who sat us down came by to ask if anyone had gotten with us. No, still waiting. We waited several more minutes then decided it wasnt meant to be. Right before we got up, a waiter approached us asking to get us some water. By that point, we had decided to cut our losses and go somewhere else. Not sure if the food is good or not but when our initial experience is lacking we figured it best to not wait to find out.

This place has amazing glazed croissant doughnuts. So good I got an extra one to go. It s pretty cramped inside, you are sitting extra close to tables next to you and there can be a wait. We watched them ask tables done eating to leave which would be a turn off to me.

Food was good with a slight Vietnamese take on a few breakfast classics. Vietnamese coffee is super sweet and more milky to my liking. To me, its not Vietnamese coffee, not even a hint of a bitter, robust taste. Also, it only is served iced. The chili garlic eggs looked beautiful, but the taste was ok. Will try again, but the seating is super tight and no dedicated hostess when we visited. All servers were very attentive to all customers and very friendly.

They do have outside seating as this place was packed so dont let the indoor crowd discourage you. They have a way bigger menu then what you see online but it is all digital.

My Lovely Wife and I were down in the Houston area to see my grandson graduate From his EMT course through his job with the Junior Volunteer FD and to visit our daughter and 2 other grown grandkids. We found this joint on Google search as a nearby breakfast spot. We really enjoyed it very much! The first time I had the Taquitos. My dish was very good. I know my wife had the French Toast and an omelette. She had asked to add bacon and she had to send it back for a correction and I believe the owner re-did the it for her. It was good and the French Toast was very good! There were a couple of other minor server issues but they got it all fixed up once we let them know what wasnt right. We had already decided to come back and eat something else off the menu before we returned home on Monday afternoon but we saw the table next to us get a plate of their Shrimp and Grits and looked and smelled soooooo good that we vowed, that God willing if we were still around wed return and order the Shrimp and Grits, which He granted. Sold, we came back the next morning with our fireman grandson and our granddaughter and yes... We got the Shrimp and Grits and it was just way to good! The gravy that came with the 5 semi-jumbo size shrimps was just awesome and it went very well with the grits. I mean we both super enjoyed it. So, again we had a few minor slights with the service but again crisis was averted and we eventually got those corrected but it was still well worth the trip. It appears I think that a Vietnamese couple have put together a very nice and quaint little bistro and are trying very hard to make it work. I believe that it is! They need to work some on the servers and help them keep up a bit better with their tables and what their guests are ordering and such the like, but as far as the decor, the hosting, the food for sure (clearly some great items on the menu), the efforts of the owners, the general attitude of everyone it is really working. The service issues we had occurred both at their very busy Sunday after church rush period, and yet still on a much slower Monday mid-morning service so yes the ownership can work towards improving that aspect of the business but in spite of that I highly endorse and recommend this place to enjoy some great food, friendly service and attractive decor! God willing we go back to Houston we will definitely be dropping by The Toast for another great meal!

Don t come here if you want to be served a nice breakfast. Walked in and saw a sign that said please wait to be seated and a small seating area. While we stood in the area, there was an awful smell like garbage or something rotting. We waited for a good long while, confused because it was fairly empty. Maybe only 4 or 5 tables of a couple people. After 10 mins (a long time to wait when there are plenty of seats) we had to call the attention of a waitress, who struggled to seat us because almost every table was completely filthy, covered in gunk and grime. She found one clean table right next to the kitchen. She told us someone would be right with us. We looked at the menu, washed our hands in the restroom, and after 15 more minutes we tried getting ANY waiters attention. It didn t work. We sat there for more than half an hour, just trying to get a waiter to serve us simple eggs and toast, before leaving. It s not worth coming here if you actually expect service and a nice atmosphere. Dietary restrictions: Some halal food here, which is why we went in the first place.

We came from Conroe to meet up with friends for a Birthday Brunch. The food was fine. Your typical brunch options. We were told the wait would be about 45 min - hour so we decided to chat at the bar. It ended up taking almost an hour and a half to get a table. They told me a party of 20 was coming in with a reservation, but we never saw a party of 20. I also think their A/C is broken or something because it was sticky and warm in there - with an occasional breeze of air from their portable cooler units.

The food is great! The food has been great since they opened. The music can be way too loud. The service has been hit or miss, which is fine, but the last three times weve been, its been an absolute miss. The staff doesnt advise you that the menus are only available by QR code so youre expected to know your order whenever the server acknowledges you. Maybe thats why they take so long to come over the first time. Then youll get a snarky attitude for not being prepared. The wait times between each server interaction are quite long. On one occasion, my son and I waited in the parking lot for half an hour after they were supposed to have opened one morning to eventually give up and go to IHOP. We got here shortly after the posted open time to a locked door. An employee said theyd open 15 minutes late so we decided to wait. My son loves the birthday pancakes here. No big deal. We come back up after 20 minutes and she doesnt even bother to come to the door that time. We waited a further 10 minutes, still with no updates, and left. If you look at my review history, I rarely leave a negative review. This may be my first one. Its frustrating to feel like Im inconveniencing the place Im eating. If youve never been here before, Id still recommend you try the food. My son and I may just be unlucky on the days we come in.

I was a bit hesitant, yet remained optimistic for our visit (after reading through some of the reviews). However, everything turned out well overall. The drinks were delish- well balanced fruit + alcohol! We had the Lychee Berry and Pina Colado mimosas. All the food we ordered was tasty. The bacon was on point!! The filet mignon... OMG! It was so moist and flavorful. The only negative was that my daughters bagel was served with too much cream cheese. But everything was hot and fresh! They were busy (Sunday brunch), but in our opinion we were served timely. Our hostess was pleasant and the owners stopped by twice to check in on our table. Cant wait to visit again!

It took a while for the food to come out. When we received our food omg it was perfect it tasted like it was cooked with love. When they bought out this vanilla cream sauce I was hooked. I retired syrup when I returned back home to Florida I had to go find that vanilla cream sauce that is my go to now for almost everything I eat.

We have been coming to Toast since they opened several years ago and it had quickly become one of our favorites. Nice owners, great service, drinks and fresh food. Today, however we will NOT be back. We arrived at noon and every single table was dirty and the restaurant was warm. No one acknowledged us when we walked in and finally, a cook from the back came out and cleaned us a table after about 15min. They are known for their kronuts and when we ordered 3 of them, we were told we are out my son was not happy. We ordered other things and waited for 50 min for our food to arrive...cold. My son never got his bacon he ordered and the chicken strips we so dried out and hard, you couldnt even cut them. Our waitress never came back to check on us and or drinks were never refilled. $60 and 2 hrs later, we left hungry and sweaty. We will not be back! So disappointed.

Kobe Was Our Server & from beginning to end he was excellent !!! From food recommendations to drink choices it was perfect :) 10/10 I highly recommend this place to anyways in sugarland area !!! Everything was great from the food , service , atmosphere !!! I ordered the country fried steak with eggs & skillet potatoes and this was perfect for the morning!! I was really excited about trying this place out and I was really disappointed. After we ordered they took forever to bring us our food. This place had awful customer service! It took 20 minutes for someone just to take our drink order or to be acknowledged. After 30 minutes of waiting, we finally got our drinks and were able to put in our food order. The service was very inconsistent people that arrived so much later than my party had been served, feed and gone. After an hour our food was nowhere in sight. When expressing your concerns to the manager, we were dismissed and not taken seriously. Then our waiter came up very aggressive making a rude comment. At that point we got up and left without eating. I will never be back!!! A HORRIBLE experience and a waste of time !!!!!!!!!!

Came here to take my boyfriend out for his first father s Day! And it s a shame that the experience is terrible. It s was extremely hot inside the wait was over a hour which is understandable because it is Father s Day but we get a call saying our table is ready to only come in and it was given away we waited an additional 5min while they figured it out. We finally get seat and waited about 8min for someone to come I had to stop a waitress to get the person. Mind you I m pregnant and completely starving at this point . I am very annoyed! Loved my experience today at toast. Our waiter was Enrique and his service was everything. He was engaging as well as complimentary and friendly and I can tell that was just who he naturally was. Loved it. The food, especially the hashbrowns were seasoned to perfection and the strawberry cheesecake croissant donut was delicious. The only complaint I have is the chairs. They are not friendly and after sitting even a short period of time, they were uncomfortable so if and when you come, i definitely recommend getting a booth! Otherwise it was a great experience!!! I ll be back Enrique

I ve be going to Toast for 4+ years, and I m not gonna lie, I don t go for the service. It s semi mediocre at best. I truly go for the excellent 5/5 food & drinks! BUT today, I had the best service since my years of coming to Toast. Emily, knocked it out of the park! She provided exceptional service, her vibe and professionalism 10/10! We hope to get her again because she s set the Toast bar pretty high the rest of the staff needs to figure it out! =) (FYI; size of the pancakes have shrunk sad )

Today we celebrated my daughter s 17th birthday at this family oriented AND family owned establishment. My kids all got the Oreo cookies and cream pancakes. They gave them a thumbs up. I have the sunrise drink which was DELISH. If you ve ever tried an elephant ear at your county fair and loved it you have to try their cinnamon and sugar donut croissant. It s so light fluffy and full of flavor! We will be back again.

I got the chili oil eggs and spicy mimosa with strawberry today. The entree was not only visually appealing but the flavors and spice all melded well together. I loved the Tajin and chamoy around the run of my mimosa as well as the flavor of the drink! The pricing for the food was excellent! A little pricey on the drink but not a deal-breaker! Came here Sunday around 2pm after golf. Took too long just to get water, longer for the coffee and even longer for the food. Waiter disappeared after the first cup of coffee and I never got my full order. Just to get the tab took 5 min. Its not too busy here either so Im not sure why the service was bad or if it was just my waiter. Place is loud, and small and would prefer a spot like black bear over this. If youre into the brunch scene with drinks then this is a good go to but Im not a fan. I live in sugar land to escape the houston, not to be right back in it. Positive: The glazed croissant donut was really good. Negatives: The service/server was pretty bad (Enrique I believe). Started with hand over beverages around the mouth part/not knowing the menu at all/overcharging, because lack of knowledge of menu. He was told food was cold he said ok came back 15 minutes later w/ the check...never asked to make it over or comp the meal. We did not eat 2 out of the 3 meals. We decided to eat here for brunch. We sat outside because there was a 30 to 45 minute wait to sit inside. Sitting outside got us seated immediately. Our server was very friendly and took our order as soon as we were ready. After she brought our drinks, things started going downhill. We waited almost the same amount of time it would have taken us to be seated inside. By the time we got our food, we were over it. Then our food didnt come all at once! Just like Waffles House, they gave us ONE plate at a time. Each time an item came out, we ate it and waited for the next. The food wasnt bad. The eggs and sausage were seasoned well, and the pancakes were soft but not presented all that well. The manager seemed to micromanage his workers, and it threw off the vibe of the place. For the amount of time we waited, the food quality and the price it is not worth another visit. It seemed disorganized. There are better places with space, service, and prices to get brunch. Looking at other reviews, I agree this place could be great. They need to take more care in how they cook and present their food. We eat with our eyes and this wasnt it.

Originally from New Jersey, First time coming here. Came during sunday brunch so it was a little pack but the wait time was on the mark to be seated. Our services today were phenomenal! Our server brought me and my friends our mimosa strawberry carafe. We enjoyed. Atmosphere was amazing. Emily was our server today- she did inform us before taking our order that the kitchen was behind 30 mins- which was understandable. Our wait time was only 25 minutes. As we waited, we enjoyed our drinks as we talked. We didnt even see how fast time passed our food come out- hot and fresh. We ate. Everything was delicious and amazing. As I saw someone passing by cupcakes, think it was the owner? He gave 3 of us cupcakes for mothers day! Our server checked up to see if we needed anything else. We told her we were great. I walked in to check on wait time for a party of 4 to which the lady who was cleaning a table told me gimme just a minute after I asked her if there was a wait so I went back out and go the rest of my family to go inside and when I walked back through the door she told me it s 30-45 minute wait. Just wanted to have a nice brunch with my friends. Brenda the manager was very rude she would check on other tables but ours I m not sure if she had something against us even when we spoke to her she did nothing to better our experience. We came in on a Sunday morning with the intention of trying something local and not a chain. It was very clear as we started receiving our food that the ingredients used are very cheap. The orange juice is obviously concentrate, like a school cafeteria borden type. The scrambled eggs are cut with a ton of milk or something else because they are essentially tasteless and the texture is off. The table syrup is cheap corn syrup and they removed the Hill Country Fare label after several reviews mentioned the brand. The kids meals are a joke, expensive for the smallest portion. The pancake, bacon and fruit plate had one small pancake, one piece of floppy bacon and a couple slices of an orange. After we left, I had to pick up food for my child because he was still so hungry. The waitress, while nice, brought out incorrect items. The biscuits and gravy item on the menu clearly states the order comes with 2 biscuits, instead we received one, cut in half. When we asked about this the waitress said it was considered two because it was open face. Plates came at all different times and some food was hot, while other plates come out cold. The restaurant idea is cute and the meals are lovely to photograph, but thats where it ends. It was upsetting to spend over $100 on mediocre food. Shame as this is a great spot in the neighborhood. I beg you to invest in your ingredients. It will make a difference.

What a weird experience. Started off very friendly and kind. We ordered and the server was great. Then things went downhill. We got 2/5 entrees, they were great. Then we waited 20 minutes and got the third. Then we had to get up and ask what was happening and we got the fourth. Then we waited another 45 minutes. It s now been over an hour and the only one who didn t get their order, is a 4-year old who wanted pancakes. Server is nowhere to be seen. Friendly owner/manager nowhere to be seen. No apology. We send the kids to figure out how pancakes can take over an hour. Then a random other employee comes and has the gumption to suggest that they ll take the pancakes off the bill because we didn t get it. We told them our four year old is starving and they finally bring it. Again, serve never shows her face again, owner/manager never shows his face. No apology, no discount, and a mandatory 18% gratuity when 0% was deserved. Food is great, everything else is torturously bad.

I was so excited to have my birthday brunch here. I called 10 days in advance and reserved a table for 15. Upon arrival, no tables were available. It was clear they had either forgotten or no one had checked for reservations. We waited an hour for a table. The place was packed, which I totally understood. It was just disappointing. Service was very slow, orders were mixed up, and things just weren t as good as I so wanted them to be. We all ordered kronuts to-go, and they were brought out all boxed together, so we had to open and spread them around and rebox them ourselves. The kronuts were AMAZING!! We were there for 3.5 hours altogether. Oof. I will definitely come try again with just my family or a friend or two. I just do not think this place is equipped for large groups. Lesson learned. We will come again, though! Hoping for a five star update!!

DO NOT RECOMEND. I have been to this establishment several times however todays experience left me shocked and concerned about this establishment and thier commitment to food safety, quality and service. From checking in at the hostess station to walking out there door, there were issues with the service, servers, food quality and commitment, to proper health standards. When polietly aksing to speak with the manager to discuss our concerns the server told us the manager is done with you and does not want to speak with you. (This was the first and only time we asked to speak to anyone). When the server (Kobe) dropped the togo containers on the floor and then proceeded to give the dirty containters to us proclaiming there is nothing wrong with them he clearly did not understand food safety and hygene. When the manager finally came out to talk with us, she too did not understand the concerns we had that we wanted to discuss . It was no concern that teh wrong order was placed on our table and then picked up to be served to the correct table. (No you do not reserve food that was served to someone else). And Renda did not feel there was anything wrong with using containers that had fallen on the floor. Perhaps health inspectors need to visit and explain proper food safety and handling.

Overall, this place was chaotic It s apparent there s no management, no training, and very unorganized We showed up to half the restaurant filled. We were sat pretty quick but there was only one server and one other worker behind the counter who did absolutely nothing. Food was good but experience was ruined because there were flies everywhere! Our table was not the only one as I saw other people swatting flies away. When I went to get a sip of my coffee I found 4 dead flies in it. Thankfully the waitress refunded the coffee but still nasty to think of the flies landing on my breakfast plate.

Always love coming here! The view stark and eggs are my absolute favorite. My son and daughter love the pancake and bacon. 10/10 every single time I go :) Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!
