I am so disappointed in all my dealings with six flags parks and customer service this year. I purchased 6 tickets on line. I also got everyone a refillable cup for the day. I purchased a cabanna for 6 people, a ceiling fan and a small refrigerator. I paid 159.99 for the cabanba. When I get there I am told that my cabanna was only for 4 people and I would have to pay an extra 40 dollars for the 2 extra guests. I asked what I got for this 40 dollars and was told they would be allowed to go into the cabanna. When we were taken to the cabanna, it looked dirty, the top was off and had a trash bag over it and it was very small. (see photo) I argued that this was not the cabnna I had paid for. I was told that this was what was in the computer. I showed him my receipt for the $159. This was the same price on the price board for the larger cabanna for 6. I asked to speak to a manager and was told he was the manager and if I wanted anything better I would have to pay for an upgrade. Didnt bother calling customer service. I tried that earlier in the year. Told to leave a number and they would call me right back. Got an email about a month later saying they were sorry they missed my call. And if they decide to close their park for weather or any other reason you will not get a refund. You are supposed to get insurance in case this happens. Come on Six Flags, you should be better than this. I was there the first year your 1st park opened in Texas in 1961 and have enjoyed your parks over the years. But this was my last visit

We have been going to this water park for 2 years now and I have always been satisfied with everything. But on the last day of the 2024 season, I had an embarrassing experience. I went to the locker room, locked the door inside the room, and could not open the door. I did not have my phone with me, I was very scared.. I used a trash can to stand on it and call my husband. Luckily, my husband was waiting for me next to me, and he just came up and I was able to open the door from the outside. Its good that everything turned out well. I really hope that by next season all the locks in the locker rooms will be repaired..

2 - Stars taken for rides always closed Been going to this place for 4 years now with my daughters schools. Its a nice getaway. I grab a cabana or loungers depending on the size of my party. Cabanas have options up to full service of having a fridge, safe, and a host to bring our food and drink orders. Loungers only have option of a host and locker. Depending on Cabana picked, you can host up to 12 people but not so comfortably. I would say maybe 8 comfortably. STAFF is undeniably SWEET, PROFESSIONAL, and quick to RESOLVE ISSUES. However. No tippy!! Which sucks because these kids are AWESOME at their jobs. Food is okay but could use improvement. !!!!HERES THE NEGATIVE PART!!!! Its a water park, and of course, we all come for the rides, but evidently, rides are not a priority There is ALWAYS at least 2 - 3 RIDES DOWN for the DAY. After a hurricane hit, the school called to see if the park would be open. GREED became a factor because the park was indeed open, several schools were present for field trips, and HALF THE PARK RIDES, POOLS, AND LAZY RIVER REMAINED CLOSED THE ENTIRE TIME!!!! NEEDLESS TO SAY, THE PARK ENDED UP CLOSING 2 HOURS AHEAD OF SCHEDULED CLOSING TIME WITH NO ACCOMMODATIONS FOR REGULAR PARK GOERS. Schools were given tickets back for kids, however; parents who accompanied the trip without chaperoning were NOT REFUNDED for TICKETS NOR CABANAS. I only was accommodated due to another mom being not so nice and fighting to get our tickets back since we live over 2 hours away. Makes no sense to refund the kid a ticket knowing the only way back is with the parents who just spent money on additional family tickets, food and cabanas at your establishment. GREEDY & INCONSIDERATE!!! My host made sure I was squared away and refunded. Staff is awesome!!!

This place is a scam. You ll pay $60 for tickets, then $25 for parking if they over booked your cabana (you ll lose out on your money) cause no one follows through on refunds. Lockers started at $15 dollars plus $8-$10 if you want a tube. Plus their entire staff consists of rude and unprofessional teenagers selling over priced carnival food with an attitude. FYI Schlitterbahn is the same price, doesn t charge for parking, you can bring your own food in and although the staff is still teenagers you can tell Schlitterbahn at least holds their employees accountable cause they were way more kind and courteous. Tubes are free to use also. I will NEVER be back and I ll be sure to deter anyone who ever thinks about coming here. Huge waste of money. Huge disappointment .

Oh, and if you want to RENT a tube, it s 8 or 10 dollars (there was no listed benefit of this). I cannot find this information on their website, and their phone number directs you to a chatbox that doesn t answer (I waited in the chat for 30+ minutes). Also, there is a lack of signs and unclear directions in the park, leading to many dead ends. It was fun, slide-wise, but for the cost, I d never go back. And 8 dollars for an ICEE!! I ve bought day passes to other parks that always have free parking and sometimes even include food. It s criminal to charge this much, and the customer service is abysmal.

Fun for the kids. That s the most important thing. However, the customer service is by for the worst I ve experienced at a water park. These young adults they have working the stands and entryways have no respect for people spending their hard earned money. The price of things are high and if you can t simply deliver orders to cabana or resolve issues that your team created without being argumentative maybe the service field isn t for you. We ordered a Cabana and place a food a beverage order. We received the funnel cake but the drinks never arrived. We waited about 1.5hrs and when I approached the stand I was immediately met with attitude. It was only one young lady who was just simply trying to do her job and not escalate the issue. (Can t remember her name but she had locs). The customer ain t always right but when your team clearly created an issue teach them to actually resolve it instead of being argumentative.

Visited as a family of 4 from Ireland, rented a cabana, when we got up to the cabana we were told they had NO towels left, the park had just opened and they had NO towels!!? This place had been closed for a week, surely they would have prepped properly. Half the slides were closed, we wouldnt have bothered if we had known half the slides were closed. The place is so dirty, and the smell of the water smelt like wet dog! The toilets were disgusting. How people pay to go to this place I beyond me. I would NOT recommend this place to any family.

I have been a regular visitor for years, but this season has been a complete disappointment, and it will be the last time I purchase a seasonal pass. Half of the slides are randomly closed, forcing people to wait up to 30 minutes in the scorching heat for the few that are still open. To make matters worse, the lifeguards, who should be ensuring safety and efficiency, are more interested in chit-chatting in groups of 5-10 than actually serving the clients. Its incredibly frustrating to see them neglect their duties while guests suffer in the heat. The metal structures are deeply rusted, and some slides look like they are at the end of their lifespan, with no signs of any repairs or maintenance being done. Its a serious safety concern and shows a lack of care for the parks upkeep. The only way to somewhat enjoy the experience is to arrive at 11 AM sharp when the park opens, but even that is a stretch. My son, who usually loves coming here, asked to go home by 12:30 PM because of how bad the experience was. -------------------------------------------------------- As of July 2022 Good value for money, however some old equipment need repair/replacement and a lot of attractions are closed due to staff shortages.

The staff kept saying they were waiting on additional staff to arrive, but nothing else opened while we were there. We went to argue for a refund since our kids are between 42 -48 and could not ride the two rides that were open, but they refused and said the website stated that rides would not be open. This was FALSE! I checked the website again and asked them to show me, but they refused. The staff that was there was terrible and didn t care to do a good job or move at any speed what so ever. We are never coming back here, that s for sure!

We brought our family over here to celebrate a birthday. My son is just above the required height and wasnt allowed to go down the smaller slides and all of the slides he could ride were all closed. They dont have signage that states you have to be below a certain height and wait until your ready to ride to let you know you cant ride it. He waited inline just to be told he cant go down the slides. What a disappointment. The surf slide kept breaking and the wave area they dont allow people past 4ft. This place definitely needs updating. Dont pay extra for special accommodations they dont allow cuts which states this on their website. The price in person is way more then their website. The price for a group is way too much plus you pay almost $30 dollars in parking. This place is made for smaller kids. We will not be returning anytime soon thats for sure.

I m visiting my boyfriend for our one year anniversary. I flew down all the way from Ohio and was really looking forward to our trip to the water park with his family. I really love waterparks and was looking forward to this a lot! I was highly disappointed parking was $27 which was hefty enough, just to be parked in a parking lot that was smaller than most Walmart parking lots. We get to the gate to buy our tickets and it s $65??? That s unbelievable considering how small the waterpark actually is. In Ohio, I m near Kings Island where a full day pass would be around $45 for the amusement park AND waterpark!!!! That price difference is insane considering how much more Kings Island has to offer!! Half of the slides at Hurricane Harbor were closed too I was super disappointed because this was one thing I was looking forward to doing the most on our trip. If the prices weren t as hefty I wouldn t be complaining. But $65 just for half the slides to be down?? That s awful. I wouldn t come here again, not for that price. Kings Island almost always has all of their rides open, AND is cheaper. I wish I could get a full refund. Definitely would not come back, I ll save my money for kings island

I visited Hurricane Harbor Splashtown on a busy Saturday, there was only one ride closed for maintenance (Big Spin). Everything else was open. Something I noticed was not all the rides opened with the park. 60% of rides opened an hour or two after the park opening which I found odd. The operations were very slow (especially on Vortex and Runaway Rapids) and the staff we lazy and didnt do their jobs as a ride operator. The park was also understaffed with an average of only one worker per tower which led to long lines. There is a waterslide for everyone! Kids, teens, adults, etc. I highly recommend riding the Tornado ride, as it has the best thrills and speed! I do not recommend riding the Vortex and Runaway Rapids, they are not as fun as they may look, the lines get too long, and the stairs burn your feet from the hot Texas sun! Overall, I think the Hurricane Harbor Splashtown is a great waterpark, but it needs some improvements on its operations.

My post has nothing to do with the slides but rather the rip off the food/drink concessions are and I will leave the rest of it out of this post as if you have been you already know. My family first time at Hurricane Harbour and just experienced the worst I have ever been treated in my life by the cashier. I paid $45 for the all day food/drink pass. Stood in line for 40 minutes before I got to the window. I ordered a pretzel and a lemonade the cashier scans my pass and tells me there are no pretzels so I said ok I will have the nachos then. She asks again to scan my pass so she did then tells me it s not valid like what are you taking about? She scans it agin and tells me I am only good for the nachos and not a drink . Again I asked what are you talking about I paid $45 for a supposed all day food/drink pass. She scans it again then asks me to stand off to the side where other people were waiting for their food. After 15 mins standing there waiting I watched 5 other people go through who ordered drinks as some had pretzels and nachos so I went up to counter and asked I see there is pretzels again so can I get my order pls. She says to me with an attitude and a smirk you can t order anything because your pass is invalid for 90mins between orders. I said you never gave me anything and this is the first time I have ever been here or even ever ordered anything and she says with that smirk nothing I can do about it. And tried to ignore me i wouldn t let it go as now been an hour since I stood in line. I asked is there someone else I can talk to so another guy comes over asks to scan my pass so he does and then he tells me my pass is invalid! I explained the run around I have been getting for past half hour and then he says can t give you anything as looks like you ordered and got food half hour ago! I said that was the cashier who kept asking to scan my pass 4 times over and over then told me to wait over here and i never actually received anything and he says again not getting anything until the 90 minutes is up! I tried my best to hold my temper but the level of stupidity was mind boggling so I got very heated as this escalated to the point where i refused I leave the window until I talk to their manager and get the food/drink i ordered and paid $45 for. Manager came and both attendants talked to her under their breath and made me sound like I am trying to pull some sort of scam by not waiting the 90 minutes between orders so she then tells me I have to wait between orders! I said are you fn kidding me write now your attended improperly scanned my pass a half a dozen times making it appear my pass is invalid! I had to get even louder and stand my ground until they gave me the food/drink I ordered which the manager eventually did. Never in my 57 years have I ever seen such poor customer service and been treated that way! What a terrible first experience here and probably the last thanks to that what a joke the whole all day food/drink pass is I got one pretzel and drink for $45 as this was all at 3pm and they close at 6 absolute rip off! If there was an option for zero stars I would give it that. Six flags couldnt have the decency to inform is the park would be closed on Thursday 25th, 2024. They least they couldve done was not let tickets be available that day or emailed customers that the park would be closed. So unprofessional and disgusting. Not on good thing to say about this place. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else please. They will not refund us our tickets.

won t be returning. Out of all of the teenager staff that we encountered only one looked us in the eye, spoke with to us with a smile and helpfulness. She was working the dipping dots counter. The staff serving us food seemed to lack any motivation. Could hardly hear the girl at the register and had to ask her several times to repeat herself. She had a very smug look of irritation and impatience, though we were the only ones in line. Literally the only ones ordering food. On another instance, I was trying to get out of a large tube from a slide and was having trouble. (Bad knees) I kept struggling to get out of the tube and the teenager waiting at the bottom of the slide to feed the tubes back up just stood there staring at me. didn t offer help or anything. The main reason I was so disappointed was the prices on everything. No tubes for use in the lazy river because you had to rent them for $8 each! Never have I been to a waterpark where the lazy river did not have tubes for you to use. Parking was $27 by itself and a basket of burger and fries was $20! Then we also had to rent a locker for our stuff. It was just way too much money.

Love the park, but can yall confirm when yall are gonna open the rest of the rides? I visited last week and half the park was closed. UPDATE: Visited 07/20/24. All rides were open, had a great time with the family. It was a saturday so the park was packed, but we were able to ride most of the rides and the waiting lines were moderate. Also, it looks like their app is accurate and it tells you which rides they have open.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! Upon arrival we were told half the rides were closed and only the kid attractions and wave pools were open. Cool, but why wasn t this disclaimer listed on the website? I could have made a decision not to come at all had I know the park wasn t fully functional. I asked the attendant would the $27 parking fee be reduced or waived since we wouldn t be getting the full experience. He said no. I went to guest relations to ask for a rain check or some type of credit. The kids posing as management told me there was nothing they could do. We also couldn t redeem our meal and to no surprise, the kids posing as managers were absolutely no help. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. For a place that charges you to breathe, they are clueless and not accommodating at all. Update as of 7/23: they asked me to email them in the message they posted in response to this, I have YET to hear back. I really just want my money back so I can move on with my life. I wouldn t bring my pet turtle to this place.

Took my family here for my son birthday. Place is not autism friendly that s suppose to be a place for all individuals with disabilities. We took our family to the kiddy side, there was no issue. The only issue that I have is that staff needs to be educated more on autism! The life guard girl kept blowing that whistle at my son after INTOLD HER HE IS AUTISTIC AND I WILL FET HIM AWAY FROM THE SLIDE. He was fascinated with the water coming from the slide. Her response to me was I KNOW. But yet she kept doing it! It s rude and it was very inappropriate. His dad was with him and we switched out to care for him. She made me mad enough we loaded up and left the park. Had she not been a kid herself I would have lost my marbles with her. Clearly everyone around knew he was autistic but she lacked education and in that moment was not TEACHABLE. She should not be on the kiddie sad with a bad attitude and in a pissy mood.

I havent been to any kind of theme park or water park in forever, so it was nice to get out and experience this with my son. It was so so for us as adults mainly because the upcharge for drinks and food is ridiculous! 16$ for a slice of pizza and bag of chips is outrageous! No that doesnt include either. We got a double meat burger and two pizzas and that was $60. After that I didnt wanna get anything else. The souvenir cups are so much smaller than they used to be and more expensive to get. The only reason I even went is for my son, he enjoyed the rides and play areas which are the main reasons for the 4 stars. The wave pool was sad! What waves, it barely even made ripples and only ran about 10-15 mins. Definitely not like the old splash town wave pool. Overall, it was a pretty mediocre experience for me as an adult, but kids should still have a great time there.

I go to college in Missouri, and prepaid two day passes online two days before we arrived at Hurricane Harbor for a friend s birthday. I purchased tickets after Hurricane Beryl, because I assumed that surely, if there was damage, it would have been made known on the website. There was no warning of the hurricane damage, so I went ahead and bought tickets. We show up, and every single big ride, other than three, were shut down. As this was called the biggest water park in Houston, only having three rides open with no warning is absolutely unacceptable. I spoke with a lady at the guest services desk, I believe her name was Chatity or Chastity, and she was extremely rude and would not take the time to understand the situation and shut us down. Another guest asked this lady that if they decided to shut down the park for cleaning or maintenance, would they give refunds? She said they would not, and the individuals who paid would not receive any compensation. We received a phone number from the guest who was having a difficult time with her as well, and I stayed on hold for 45 minutes waiting to speak to management. They would not refund, or even compensate for a drink, meal, parking, or a locker. Management would not speak to me and would tell a young worker to tell me why they were saying, and when I asked if I could speak to management, they told me they were unavailable. I was also told that there was no point calling back to speak to management because they would not be willing to work with me in any way, regardless of driving from North Missouri to come here. The service was horrible, clearly showing that they do not care about their relationship with customers, and that they only care about the money. I ve worked at multiple SMALL businesses, and any time there was a misunderstanding, we did everything to mend the relationship. This service coming from a large corporation is insane and entirely unacceptable, as every single worker, except the 16-year old lifeguards, were rude. Chastity or Chatity was entirely unwilling to work with us, and I was extremely disappointed in the businesses management team. Completely unprofessional and will not be returning.

Boyfriend doesn t drink, 1 year sober, puts triple sec in his N.A. marg he had it & was alright but that s not the point all in all the kids here seem entitled & pretty rude, we prefer the one in Arlington for these reasons, still we live here & have season passes we upgraded so we ll still be back again, hopefully it s a better time. One could only hope for the best & better vibes next time. Also lot of the slides are closed, that s pretty lame, would be nice if y all could bring back the favorites like the 2 tall blue slides & the ones where the floor drops to the slide. Just saying been coming here 20+ years since a kid this place is becoming pretty run down.

We waited about 30 min for a ride and when we were up next to go, they said they were pausing rides and exiting waters because of the weather. Waited about 30 more min, and they stated they were closing to exit the park. We asked about a rain check since we spent so much money. And some of our families came from out of town. They denied a refund or rain checks. Please save your money!!! Go to Splashway in Rosharon, TX. Its a little further away. But they give either refunds or rain checks for inclement weather since its beyond anyones control!!!!

Otherwise, the place is overpriced and staffed by unhappy employees. Certainly won t take my family back!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Went for a birthday party. Bought tickets for my family online 2 tickets for 86 dollars. We get to the park and pay 26 dollars to park in a parking lot that has a total of about 20 cars in it. Once we get to the gate we are informed that more than half of the park is closed due to damage from the recent storms. The birthday party was already paid for and were not offered a discount or a refund for this either. Once inside, trying to make the best of the situation, every team member that we had interaction with has a very poor attitude and seemed miserable in their job. I went to both of the mens restrooms and neither had hand soap and only 1 sink working. We rented a cabana for the birthday party and it contained a mini fridge with nothing in it. When we asked the staff for some bottled water, they brought us 4 8oz bottles of water and stated that is all that comes with the cabana rental. 18 dollars for 1 slice of pizza! Is down right disrespectful. Places with this kind of business model will FAIL l, it is just a matter of time. This is the reason that we cannot have anything nice in Houston for its residents....... I will not be coming back

We also were charged $30 for parking to be told that the park was going to be closing rides due to rain. This was around 1:00 and we got there right at 11. It didn t even rain until about 4 but we had to get out of line and just sit around until the rain passed. We were told that the park wasn t closing it was temporary. we wasn t issued any refunds or rain checks. Then when we got there only like 3 slides were open, the park and bathrooms were filthy and they had just opened. Then they gave us wristbands to get back in if we left. We left to go eat next door at Wendy s and came back and the gates were locked. Total disappointment for 11 kids

You cannot bring outside food or drinks in. Food and drinks inside are expensive. Six flag price expensive. There are often times when rides are closed. If they are open the lines are super long. The wave pool and the lazy river are often packed to the maximum. If you dont like being shoulder to shoulder with someone then this is not for you. I also often wonder how clean the water is. Looks questionable at times. The staff are not the friendliest and I felt I was inconveniencing them by asking a simple question.
