The fact that this trail opens at 8 in the morning is ridiculous. It s a 13 mile trail almost 30 miles total and it opens late in the morning. This is ridiculous for early morning walkers and joggers and inconvenient for people who make plans to enjoy before the day starts to get busy. A waste of time, energy and preparation.

Spring Creek Greenway is a very long, multiuse paved trail along Spring Creek in Harris County Texas. This trail is used for walking, hiking, biking, and equestrian travel. Spring Creek Greenway is the longest, connected, urban forested corridor in the nation. When finished, the Greenway will ultimately: Stretch over 40 miles, Reach from Highway 249 in Tomball east to US 59 in Kingwood, and Cover more than 12,000 acres.

This greenway is a gem in the north side of Houston. Well paved route along spring creek, a natural forest. Enjoy biking, hiking, jogging, walking, fishing, canoeing and horseback riding. Enter through different parks: Dennis Johnston, Jesse Jones, Cater or Pundt. Each parks carry different tastes and facilities.

Super great park, but City of Houston doesnt care about anything but their own profit. They are chopping forest in the park, doing so-called drain project. But now chopped area is looking like 12 lanes I-10 highway. It is enough to put there like 5 drain pipes. So sad that you are the ones who are serving city, - are failing it. Only one decent park left here.

This is our back yard how blessed we are to have miles and miles of horse trail riding, biking, fishing and dog walks. This is why we live in Spring, Texas! Gym class with Mr. Godfrey teaching archery.Patience and technique. Thanks to all the constables and parks and rec for keeping our trails safe and clean.

Great place to ride in the summer. Tree shade keeps it 1 to 15 degrees cooler than anywhere else. However mosquitoes were swarming so you cant stop outside of one of the parks along the trail. There is plenty of parking at both ends of the trail. Ive never had any issues there. I see water fountains at the parks and sometimes water coolers along the path. Also theres law enforcement that drives doing the path regularly

This beautiful asphalt trail goes through the forest and along parts of Spring Creek. It s a wider trail and great for any activity: running, walking, biking, roller blading... I even have seen a unicycle! They also have a horse trails and other non-paved paths you could explore. Be aware of snakes, especially if you are leaving the paved trail. I ve seen several over the past few years of going there. One time I saw a coral and a copperhead within a couple feet of each other! I usually park at Pundt Park but I have also parked at Dennis Johnston park and Carter Park. The trail goes quite a distance, and I can t wait until they expand further west! I think in total the trail currently is around 15 miles one way.

Best place to ride bicycles around the houston area that I know of. Long trail of probably 25 miles long or more by now, maybe 3 stop signs total. Restrooms in the parks along the trail, a bit hilly and something for every rider. Excellent for a relaxing ride or training. Easy parking in the parks, no fees. Lots of shade on the trail. Bring mosquito repellent for your breaks on the trail in warm weather.

Over 20 miles of road bike trail, & tons of side mountain bike trails, from Jesse H Jones Park to Pundt Park to Dennis Johnston Park. The terrain deceitfully inclines on the trail, as it snakes with the creek next to it. Plenty of fauna along the trail also. There are tons of deer & rabbits everywhere. As far as the flora, the tall trees protect bikers from the Sun almost the entire trail. Highly recommend it. Note: don t take any headphones & just listen to the woods.

I decided to change my star rating and give information on how to access this trail. It is not just where this GPS marker is per say. Currently the Hike, bike, canoe/kayak, and horseback trail stretches from Dennis Johnston park all the way to Jesse Jones park. With access points in between at Pundt and Carter parks. The trail beyond that is being developed. Ive parked at Carter park and did a 7.6 mile loop hike to Jesse Jones and an 11 mile loop hike to Pundt park. This trail offers many benches, trash cans, and water coolers at strategic points to refill your water bottle. It is an excellent place for bird watching or listening. I saw my first 2 Bald Eagles in the wild here, a piliated woodpecker, and many other birds you dont see everyday... Ill leave my original review so others can understand that this GPS point is not something you can drive to! .....This review is based on the GPS driving directions. DO NOT follow them!!! You will end up on a dead end street with no place to park and no trails in sight. You will be better off parking at the parks northwest or Southeast of here and walking, hiking, or biking to this location. If I find a place to park that is close to this marker Ill add the location and change my review. I cant give a park I cant get to a good review.
