Good enough but not my new go-to. Salsa was thick with good flavor, a touch extra spicy. Chicken fajitas were good/ok but texture was a little dense and nothing notable about the flavor. Margarita was a bit overly sweet, so I didnt finish it. Not sure if these are the same folks as the Evas on Kuykendahl, which I havent been to in a decade (not geographically convenient), but I remember the Kuykendahl location being better.

We stopped in on a whim and werent disappointed. The food is great, the Paloma was refreshing, and the service was perfect. All of the staff was friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. Its an unassuming location in a strip mall, but the food and service make this place a bit of a hidden gem. We will absolutely be back to try more food. My husband got crunchy tacos, and I ordered chicken fajitas - both were great. All the reviews rave about the enchiladas, so we are definitely going to try them next time!

Stopped in for a late lunch on a Monday. Not very many inside but then again it was a Monday at 1:30. Food was excellent. I ordered the enchiladas verdes. Portion was a generous size. I also ordered a frozen margarita and it was incredible! Service was great. The chips were a little on the stale side but the salsa was good. Definitely a place I ll be coming back to.

Evas was an incredible Mexican restaurant. The food was outstanding. The shrimp enchiladas were very delicious. The kiddo said the cheeseburger was straight bussin. The cheese was melted into the burger very nicely. Freshness of the food preparation was Paramount. The chips and salsa were a little hot for the ladies, however the spice Factor was good mixed in with the queso. Service is extraordinary, I did not have to get up for anything nor did I have to ask for anything. The staff is very friendly. Has great communication. The poblano pepper was the best in at least five states. My fiance tries a poblano pepper every state, every time she has a chance. And this one was by far the best she said. The restaurant was very clean and bathrooms were clean, tidy, and had hand sanitizer immediately on the table outside the bathroom door bathroom door, I really appreciate that. The price was very appropriate for the food. Strongly recommend and well stop by when in the area again.

What a great find near our office. The chips are thin and crispy and the salsa was warm with a really nice chili flavor!! I had the mixed enchiladas al carbon and they were stuffed with amazing grilled chicken and beef fajitas. The refried beans were definitely homemade and had a really good flavor. The rice, while usually just salty at most restaurants, this rice had nice chunks of cooked onions and a good flavor. We also had an order of grilled burrito and it was 2 flour tortillas stuffed full with grilled chicken fajita meat and topped with queso. The Hubs was very happy with them. Service was quick but not rushed and the plates came out so hot that everything was bubbling! We will be back! Prices were very reasonable!

We went here to try out Mexican food and was not disappointed at all. The host and the servers were very friendly and courteous. We got into a booth, and our waiter served some tortillas with warm salsa. The food we ordered was very tasty and palatable. We had fried shrimp and a sizzling fajitas dinner platter. We also ordered a Mexican drink called Michelada which was also different tasting. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed this place and would definitely be coming back here in the future, especially due to its close proximity to our home. Parking: There is plenty of parking space available on the free parking lot in front of the restaurant.

We loved this place! Something has changed recently or maybe we came in on a off night idk. Food has gone down hill a little. I dont suggest the chili con queso unless you like nothing but Velveeta cheese and a spec of chilies. Meat was very over cooked tortillas were dry and tough! Wifes Chili Pablano wasnt right she didnt elaborate. Beer was great. Chips and salsa was ok the salsa was definitely off. Gonna miss yall.

My family and I have visited this establishment quite often in the past few months. Weve tried a few of their items (chile con queso, shrimp queso flameado(large shrimp), guacamole, ground beef enchiladas, tacos al carbón, shrimp quesadillas) the ground beef enchiladas being our favorite. Every thing has always been delicious, fresh and hot. We have not been disappointed on any visit. The staff is great! Our drinks, chips, and salsa are constantly checked and kept full. If our drinks look to have gotten watered-down they bring you a fresh drink. The prices are average and you definitely get your moneys worth.

Overall if you focus on the food quality and price vs other Mexican food restaurants you will be pleased. Now atmosphere ? Forget it. Its a very bland,simple atmosphere. Which in a way helps keep prices reasonable. Service? Well it depends on the server actually. Occasionally like any where else service could be better. Overall Id recommend both locations. There is another location on Kuykendahl. Youll enjoy the food and experience. Additionally hot food is always served fresh and hot out of the kitchen. Food that is normally served cold is servrd very cold and fresh. Things like guac, lettuce ,tomatoes etc. Its really nice,it keeps the flavor profile the way youd expect. Enjoy ...

Just tried this place for the first time and it was absolutely awful. What kind of Mexican restaurant uses American cheese in the cheese enchiladas? The cheese dip was disgusting. It tasted like a watered down version of sporting events cheese (for nachos) and it was $10.50-large bowl. The salsa was horrible. It was like a sort of gravy and didnt look like it even had tomatoes in it. Bar none, the worst meal I have ever had. Almost $100 for 4 people at lunch and we didnt order alcohol. The waiter was friendly.

We have been here before a few times and we enjoyed every singles time. The servers are very friendly and make us feel comfortable, the food is great and great drinks too! Unfortunately the last time i was there we a party of 5 i guess the manager thought that some of our guest were underage so he kept starting at our table and we even heard him asking the guy that brought 3 of our drinks (only 3 of us were drinking.) a bunch of questions describing us and he was standing about 4 feet away from our table so we stopped and ask him if there was a problem, he acted confused and we ask him if there was a problem we us drinking if he needed our ID s cus we gladly showed to you and he replied no is not about yall is about another table and pointed out a table that had no girls which we heard him describing a couple of girls that were with us that night anyways so since them i would rather not go there for drinks, just the food but if he s there the next time we go i rather go somewhere else where im not constantly been kept watched. Other than the unprofessional manager the food is great and margaritas are awesome! Very affordable too.

First time here, seated as soon as we walked in. Service was with a smile. Got our chips, salsa and drinks quickly and the tea was very sweet, just like I like it. My wife didnt care for the salsa, and I agree it wasnt the best. My wife went with her go to, the tacos al carbon and I got the Carne Guisada. Lately, the past few Mexican restaurants Ive been to, their Guisada is skirt steak like the asada. Im used to the beef tip with vegetables and sauce style. Thankfully this place had it the way I liked, though it wasnt the best Ive had, it was good and I got full. If we do go back I want to try their stuffed avacado. All in all I liked the place but it does not top my favorite place.

I tried the Ribye Steak and Pollo al carbon. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants Ive ever been to hands down. I highly recommend to first time visitors. I will be coming back again! Lord willing.

Great food and lunch prices are very reasonable! I got the sour cream chicken enchiladas and my wife got the burrito steak fajitas. We swapped 1 for 1. It was all very delightful! Our 1st time there, and will definitely return, they have many options on the menu. up for this place.

Do not go here ! Food is horrible sauce is horrible. By the time we reach the front door my husband was heading to the toilet with low grade food poisoning. Either the food has no taste or its overly salted and just taste horrible. Would not recommend to my worst enemy!!

TLDR: Food way to salty. Dont recommend. I really hate to write a bad review, but unfortunately, our experience was not great at all. My Girlfriend and I came to this restaurant without any expectations, and we left completely dissatisfied. The food was honestly the worst part. We both got enchiladas, she got the cheese and I got the chicken enchiladas, and they were equally SALTY with a capital SALTY. They taste as if an entire container of salt was used on each plate...Like saltbay was practicing his form and it took him 17 tries to get it right, but eventually just said screw it...send em out like that....The house margarita may as well have been a lime syrup with a hint of tequila...I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

Lunch on Sunday 9/12/21. Arrived at 11:20 AM. Promptly seated and asked for my drink order. This place is amazing. They have a lunch menu (11 AM - 3 PM) from which you can order EVERY day of the week - even weekends! Amazing prices and fantastic food. I ordered the combo #4 which is a crispy taco, queso puff, enchilada, rice and beans. You have a choice of beef, chicken or cheese for the enchilada. Cost: $7.95 Two plates of food for $7.95! Taco and queso puff arrive first. I always order my taco without tomatoes. Both taco and puff were delicious. Second plate was my cheese enchilada, rice and beans. My waiter, Fernando, warned me that the plate was hot. He was not kidding. The chili gravy on the cheese enchilada was still sizzling on the ceramic plate as he placed the plate in front of me. I had to wait a couple of minutes before I could even begin eating! Amazing meal and fantastic value. Fernando was extremely polite and friendly. We chatted about the upcoming storms to the Houston area. Photo shows the empty plate that contained the taco and queso puff. The plate that is sizzling is the rice, cheese enchilada and beans. The chili gravy on the enchilada was amazing. I highly recommend this business. The lunch prices are amazing. But even if you go for the dinner menu, the prices are still lower than the other Tex Mex restaurants in the area. Good food. Good staff. Love this place.
