What I didnt know till now. You must pay to drive on the beach at any of the access points. $14. $6 if ur a vet. 1st time Ive ever had to pay for doing this. There is a constant police presence and are not friendly. Had one park apx 30 yards away with their limo tint and observe us as we did nothing illegal. You may not back up to the water but must park way back off the water on other side of car path. Not sure why they care as they say it costs a fortune to get a tow Truck out there should you get stuck. Not their concern. Its free from after 7pm. Till morning. Most wana go during the day. Must pay. The water was chilly. July 22 /25th we will most definitely go elsewhere for vacation 1st time there and last.

Parking lot depends on your luck. After enjoying the beach, you can refresh in a shower located in the car parking area. Got 2-3 shower outlets are there. Can wash ur legs too with the hose attached with tap, so you can avoid making your car mess. This place is not for camping since there are a lot of condos and beach houses surrounded, so you dont feel privacy. For that, the best place is to drive into county beach access#6.

Best beach in Texas: smooth sand, plenty of space from the entrance to the water so that you aren t pushed out by high tide, calm water & clear water safety flag system so that you know what you ll be facing that day. We were there over a holiday weekend, so got to see the July 4th beach parade (that seems more full of vacationers than locals tho) - fun to watch. There was some trash on the beach, likely from the high volume of people that week. Bring your own shade cover or umbrellas! The sun overhead gets brutal, and in most spots on the beach the preset umbrellas and chairs belong to residents and are not for rental. Come equipped!

Great little(and free) parking lot and beach access! There are only about 8-10 parking spots for public access. We arrived at 10:45am on a Thursday in July and the beach wasnt crowded at all. Definitely recommend!

One of the more lesser frequented beach accesses. No bathrooms. Area to wash feet on other walk way. Walkway itself has a nice vista point to relax on a bench and take pictures from. The vegetation all around attracts little avian friends as well.

This is by far the best beach access for us, it had shoe/feet showers that were very helpful for cleaning sand off, and you can also use them on your legs and body (but its not meant for that). This beach access didnt have a crazy amount of people (compared to others). Definitely try this beach access!
