We ordered a fairly big catering order for today. When I showed up at the pick-up time, the person helping me explained there must have been a glitch in the system that didnt alert them in advance of the order. No worries at all because the team immediately got busy preparing our order, making sure I got everything I needed in a more-than-timely manner, providing me a drink in the meantime, and doing it all with a smile of their face! I understand that in the customer service industry, things happen that are out of the control of the people on the front-line, and the San Marcos team rolled with the punches to make sure we were taken care of very quickly. Will definitely use them for future catering events. Thank you to everyone who made the experience great!

I am always treated with respect by the person at the window, and always greeted with a smile. Ive never been inside this Thundercloud location but I am grateful they are right next to my house, which is super convenient! The food is always fresh and made to order. Just came to up my rating to a 5, I stop by here over the years for lunch and they never disappoint both quality and service. There ingredients are always some of the freshest vs others, service always friendly/helpful, chill atmosphere for a calming lunch. Definitely try their salads, I have to say their Austin Club is one of the best salads Ive had at any place. Dietary restrictions: Good options for gluten-free, which is hard to find at a sandwich shop.

My son asks to eat here everytime we are in San Marcos. My entire family loves it too. If we cant agree on where to eat, we can always agree on Thundercloud. Weve been to several in Austin, one in New Braunfels, and this one in San Marcos...and every location is great!! Thundercloud always hires the most amazing, friendly people who you can tell love their job and make your food with care. The staff is always welcoming and the food is always high quality, you cant go wrong eating here!! Vegetarian options: I always get the Veggie sandwich with hummus, sprouts, cucumber, tomatoes, olives, pickles and avocado. Its delicious!

I went to the thundercloud in San Marcos today my normal thundercloud is the new braunfels location they have the best subs but this San Marcos location took my order threw the drive threw did not read the order back and then they did not put my American cheese and mustard on my sandwich I live about 45 minutes away so I called and told them what happened and was just told hopefully we can get it right next time did not offer to fix it or replace it and then we sat there in silence and she asked if there was anything else she could do for me and I just hung I would have rated a 5 but the customer service was sub par I really hope she is not a manager there

We stopped at Thunderclouds because the line at the McDonalds was so long. Boy am I glad did. The employees were all enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable. Caylin took our order makeing suggestions when we needed them. The The purple haired girl made our subs in record time. The place wasnt too expensive and the subs tasted great.

I m here in town visiting, and decided to try something different and support what looked like a local shop. We were greeted by a man wearing a purple sweater working 01/16/22 around 2:30 mean less to say he was very talkative, friendly, helpful, and very informative about the store and the menu. The menu options are very well organized and easy to understand. The service the man provided and continued to serve other customers as we sat and ate. The food was very good we were very suprised on the punch of flavors the subs pack. We will be back on our next visit. P.s. try the broccoli soup if it s available it is to die for.

Took one bite of my gluten-free Austin club and had to stare at the sandwich to see what magic pixie dust they used to make it taste so damn good. Couldnt discern what sorcery they used, so I continued to demolish the sandwich within the next 20-30 seconds. In summary. Absolutely delicious and this place is now one of my favorite lunch-time restaurants.

10/10 sandwiches. Everytime I branch out and order something new Im anxious due to the unique (really just odd) ingredient combinations they have for their main sandwiches, but as Im anxious everytime Im also immediately satisfied upon chewing the first bite. Some combos may be odd, or just downright bizarre (like the egg salad and bacon sandwich), however ALL of them are delicious.

I just ordered an Egg Salad Sub. This is actually my first time ever eating a sandwich from Thundercloud. In my opinion it is not all that great. I thought it could of been better. I can make a better egg salad sandwich myself. I have had better sandwiches at other places. To top it off. I dont know if he is the owner. But this gentleman who is short and always wears a cap and wears glasses is very rude. He doesnt know how to talk to people right. Especially to me. My husband and I each received a coupon for a free sub after we donated blood in January. We went to redeem our free subs today and were shamed for wanting to use the coupons. We were told one coupon per customer, but since we are two people that were each given our own coupon we didnt think it was going to be a big deal. The woman at the drive through definitely thought it was a big deal and insulted us for trying to break the coupon policy. It was crazy! I even offered to come inside and place a separate order for my sub, but was told I could not do that either. We ordered add-ons that we happily paid for, even though she insinuated that we did not have money to cover the extra charges. It was insulting. We used to come to Thunderbird often because the subs are pretty good, but the service we received today was enough to make me definitely switch to Ikes from here on out.

The food itself was fine, as usual. However, the girls working were dressed completely inappropriately with crop tops. The music they had playing in the lobby was also inappropriate for small ears.
