Best service & pizza in San Marcos! Its the only pizza that resembles what youll find in Italy, with that thing, signature brick fired crust. Delicious! And their churro ice cream is delightful. Ive lived in San Marcos for over 20 years and have received all kinds of terrible service at restaurants here in town. This next kept secret little pizza parlor sets a new standard for incredible service everywhere! They greet you when you arrive and say goodbye when you leave. They take your order with a smile and say thank you Its a politeness that you just dont find anymore. They over-fired our pizzas, leaving them a bit too black on the bottom. They brought them to us, apologized before we noticed and informed us they were remaking them already and that we could take these home as well. As a local, I wont eat pizza anywhere else in town. Its mine & my husbands new favorite casual date spot.

My friends and I had never been to Sylvia s before. I had heard how good it was and saw how cute it looked and knew we had to check it out. We ended up going for my birthday and it was genuinely the best experience I ve ever had at a restaurant. One of the sweet ladies that works there offered to take our picture when she saw me taking pictures of my friends. Then they found out it was my birthday and gave me and my friends free ice cream. Everyone in the restaurant told me happy birthday including the cooks. They went out of their way to make our experience so personal and loving. You could taste it in the food too. That is some of the best pizza I ve ever had. I love their vegetarian pizzas and that churro ice cream is to die for. I was having a bad day when I walked in and they really showed me how much love exists in the world. That meant so much. Thank u to everyone who made the experience so lovely. Me and my friends will definitely be returning!

A tucked away slice of Italy in San Marcos! We were delightfully surprised. All pizzas are 12 , 4 slices. We opted for the White Rebel - pepperoni, cheese and basil on a Alfredo base, and the Nedy - peppers, mushrooms, and basil with a red sauce base (we added pepperoni). Both were beyond delicious, great flavor and perfect thin, chewy crust. We had to try the churro ice cream and it too was perfect, smooth, rich and balanced. The decor is whimsical and immaculate. Service was prompt and gracious. If you haven t tried them yet, don t wait!

The pizza was awesome, ordered online for pickup and got the pepperoni and sausage and added mushrooms, also ordered the Queen because I love margarita style. I was greeted with a smile as I walked in and was in and out in no time. The pizzas were cooked perfectly, slightly charred undercarriage with a beautiful fluffy crust. The ingredients were top notch, and it showed in every bite. Next time Ill stay to enjoy the nice natural light and art in the dining area.

Atmosphere: super cute, simple, and cozy spot. The art is varied and fun! Service: The 3 guys ( sorry I cannot recal any names!) that were making the food were super nice, helpful, and informative! We saw a write up in the local community paper about Sylvia Pizza. The photo of their pizza was all we needed to make us know we had to give them a try. This is definitely a hidden gem of San Marcos. We rarely eat out anymore because we are always left feeling unsatisfied, that we over paid and usually feel sickly for a few hours after eating overly processed low quality food but we decided to drive from nearby Kyle and give this place a try. OMG!!! We will be back. In fact, can t wait to come back. We are going to save up our carb allotment and cash them in here on a regular basis. Simple menu but done right. Be sure to get the ice cream They customized our pizza for us. The place is simply decorated but inviting and most importantly, CLEAN. Parking: It s a small parking lot shared with other businesses, but we had no trouble getting a parking space. They also have a shady handicap spot under the tree. Wheelchair accessibility: No steps.

Freind recommended me this place and I work across street, so I decided to try it. The employees and owner was extremely nice. I believe everything is in house made and it all tasted amazing, plus the food came out very quick. Also side note get the icecream, it was home made, and had insane flavor, and honestly I think may be some of the best ice cream I ve ever had in my life, if you go here and not get the icecream, you are stupid and missing out. Get the ice cream. If you re in the mood pizza, this is the spot.

My son kept telling me I needed to try this place. I finally went with him and I was speechless after the first bite and no silly, it wasn t because my mouth was full. This pizza was off the charts good. I have been back several times now and tell everyone about it. Do yourself a favor and try them out. I promise you will not be disappointed. It s so hard to write this review because I want to keep this place a local hidden gem forever but, the food and atmosphere are phenomenal and it deserves all the praise. My husband and I are huge foodies. Being born and raised in Austin, I ve been keen on always knowing and finding the best local food spots. I ve had a few really good pizza joints in my back pocket for the San Marcos/Kyle area that would often be our go to spots. However, this place takes the cake every time. I can t even justify going to the other pizza places because I d just be thinking and wishing we went to Sylvia s. Side note* I m VERY sensitive to gluten and I can eat this pizza without ANY problems. The ingredients are so clean and fresh. Like I said, I can t recommend this place enough. Definitely go and bring the whole gang along.

This place is a 10 out of 10 in every category, service, quality, freshness, atmosphere, cleanliness. It was our first time there. I was impressed right away with the friendly greetings. They play very cool neutral music, great vibe. I like the decor. They have a bunch of framed comics. Now about the pizza. I m used to the chain pizzas & I ve never been to Italy but if someone told me this is exactly how pizza is made in Italy I would believe them. I could tell that all the ingredients are fresh. The sauce is amazing. The dough is a little chewy and I like the size of the crust & the crust is just a little burned which gives it a wood fired taste. They obviously have made a great effort here because the place is very clean, they have an air purifier, and plug in air fresheners. After stuffing ourselves we tried their HOMEMADE ice cream & it was delicious. All the staff there was super friendly. These guys knocked it out of the park. I ll be back again and again.

There are a few good pizza shops in town but after discovering Sylvia Pizza it s my go to and favorite pizza place in town. The pizza is fresh and cooked to perfection every time. When my wife mentioned, Sylvia s Pizza, I admittedly didn t want to go because of how picky I am. As we walked in an employee took notice of a shirt I was wearing, and we talked for a brief moment about our shared hobby. After a few pleasantries, I made my order, and the wait was very short. The restaurant itself was surprisingly stylish and chic with its white walls adorned with beautiful contemporary art and reimagined music albums transformed into comic books. The food arrived quickly with little time wasted with our necks craned as we admired the art. We initially started with two pizzas because I wasn t too hungry (wife and daughter), but after the first few bites, I grew ravenous and knew I d have to order a third pizza before leaving. Simply put, the food is not only delicious, but necessary in this bland pizza wasteland littered with Papa John s, Pizza Hut s & Dominoes Pizza. This pizza makes you feel like you stepped up socially, because this pizza is unique and sophisticated and usually found in travel magazine features. You can immediately tell time and energy went into their ingredients and menu. Pizza is supposed to be simple and Sylvia Pizza brings the authenticity of a Little Italy, NYC pizzeria right here in Texas coupled with the simplest of ingredients found in stores that I usually don t shop at. As we exited, I gave my compliments to the gentleman I spoke to about my shirt. He turned out to be the owner and offered us a free sample of their house made ice cream which was amazing. Our visit capped off a great day and I was glad we stopped by.

I have heard a lot of great things about this place and was eager to try it. Parking is a little limited due to multiple establishments using my one parking lot however we did find parking right in front of the store. The looks of this place is very appealing my girlfriend couldn t stop taking pictures. Cooks and host were very polite greeting us as we walked in. Pizza was amazing however I do not recommend sharing as it s a little small for multiple people. My girlfriend tried the churro flavored ice cream and loved it. The food and the service here are A M A Z I N G! We rolled up on bikes a little after this place closed -- definitely our bad. But the owners were so incredibly kind -- they let us place orders and cooked us pizzas that blew us away. We ate on the back patio, and even though they were technically closed, they kept the door unlocked for us to refill water and use the restrooms. Way above and beyond any hospitality Ive ever received. The pizza was delicious! Great crust, delicious sauce, and fresh toppings. The pizzas came out fast, too, so this is going to be our new go-to place for those nights when I dont feel like cooking but dont want to wait an hour to eat. Love the vibe of the place, too! Im so stoked we tried this place and even more stoked that this restaurant is run by some amazing people. Great addition to the SM community!

A few weeks ago we saw this quaint pizza place tucked away while eating somewhere nearby. I couldn t stop thinking about the outside appearance and the stellar reviews I read about it! We went tonight with some friends and I will say the hype is so worth it and the soft serve is not something you should skip out on! We had a great experience and ate some amazing pizzas. We will definitely be back and can t wait to see this place grow.

Best pizza in the San Marcos area and I think the only place that does Neapolitan style right! The staff is super friendly and the ambiance inside the restaurant is very nice with cool decor. They also have free delicious homemade churro soft serve ice cream. My favorites are the pepperoni and jalepeno and cheezy dream!

Lots of potential for this up and coming neopolitan pizza. The crust is tasty. I chose to take out and the middle of the pizza was soggy. Understandable for this kind of pizza but the great pizza restaurants do a better job. My crust was very charred on one section and less than cooked on another end of the pie so it wasn t cooked the best. I am still giving 5 stars because I m excited for these guys and hope they make the necessary improvements to be a huge success.

I must say that my first impression walking in amazing it was inviting the people who worked there were attentive and didnt just make you wait. May I just say the white rebel pizza is amazing perfect crust not too heavy on the drizzle of olive oil, either it was well balanced and delicious. I hate to be the first non five star review of this place, but I just had higher expectations. This pizzas look beautiful, and the pepperoni is great but there is just a bit too much char on the bottom of the crust. At times it felt like I was eating a big piece of burnt toast. Additionally I think they need to add more salt to their sauce. I know with a very traditional Italian style pizza, the sauce is supposed to be minimal in ingredients, but I ordered a pepperoni, not a margarita pizza. Either way I might try this place again in the future, there is always the possibility this was an off day for them.

Discovered this hidden gem in San Marcos on our way back to Austin! The pizza was delicious the dough was tasty, crispy, and light, with generous toppings (we had the pepperoni and jalapeño pizza). The place itself is aesthetically beautiful and very clean. The friendly service of this family owned restaurant added to our positive experience. Dont leave without trying the churro soft serve ice cream - it was so good and had the perfect amount of sweetness! Cant wait to go back for another visit!

Best customer service i have ever experienced. I called and had a couple different requests and he was absolutely happy accommodate any requests i had. i went in and he asked if i had tried the ice cream and when i said no he got me a free ice cream cone to try. (btw the ice cream is 5 stars)!! the pizza was good and what made it even better was how they filled every request i had and were so carful to make sure it was perfect. it s a couple days later and i m still thinking about it so i figured i needed to write. a review.

SO great! Went here on opening day, the inside is gorgeous, the family that owns it were SO nice and most importantly the pizza was amazing.
