There is a small area inside, but the service was amazing. There was an influx of people just after arriving, so maybe thats why it felt smaller. Hats off to the two girls up front who were knocking out the orders in impeccable time.

Cute place and our 1st visit! Also a Great American Cookie place too so you can get cookie cakes here too. My son loved the milkshakes! The girl who helped us had only been there a week and she was great. I tried the black cherry and it was surprisingly tasty! We will be back!

DO NOT ORDER HERE! I received the WORST customer service from the Manager of the store. Our company placed an order for some ice creams as an afternoon treat at 11am, for delivery at 1:30pm to our office. 1:45pm comes around and I call to check on the order, the girl working said they didnt receive our order at all through the website but that her manager would be back at in 10 mins and would give me a call. The young girl calls back and says our order was ready in the fridge but that there were no delivery drivers to pick it up and I would have to go pick it up. I let her know that I paid for delivery and tip through their website and she is saying there is nothing they can do about refunding that because it is a 3rd party they use. She is then talking back and forth with the manager to relay information to me. I finally ask to get the manager on the phone and she says that a driver just got there and that our order is being delivered. It doesnt stop here as a happy ending..... When the delivery driver comes to deliver our order we had one ice cream missing. I call the store to speak to the manager and she was NOT apologetic either time with our order being delayed or missing one of our ice creams. She was very RUDE the whole time and not Manager material and setting an example for her workers who are hearing her talk on the phone. Instead of being professional and asking me to please hold to check her receipt she right away tells me NO, I was the one who made your order there isnt one missing. I have to tell her Yes, I only have 4. She then checks some paper and finally realized she did miss one of orders. She then tells me that I would have to get a refund through Uber because they delivered it eventhough I ordered through the Great American Cookie website. I ask her how and get a little frustrated that I would have to go through this whole process of getting a refund when it was her fault from the beginning. I then begin to tell her that the customer service I received from her was not great and she never was apologetic about any of this situation. She then tells me that she did apologize and to have a great day and hangs up on me. I tried getting a refund through the Uber app as she said but am unable to since I didnt place the order on the app and went through their website. I have not had Marble Slab ice cream in a very long time and was so excited for this afternoon treat but it turned into the WORST experience and will NEVER come back again. I have reached out to corporate about this and hope they do something about the manager there.

We went here once before, and there was only one person working so service was a little bit slow and the ice cream was a little bit melted, but it wasn t too bad especially considering there was one person making both of our orders, but we went again yesterday and there was two people working the front, but somehow the service was worse. The ice cream was super melty as soon as I got it, almost like a milkshake in a cone. Nothing was really chopped up and incorporated into it, and the huge strawberry chunks threw me off with their texture (you know how frozen/ thawed strawberries are kind of slimy?) It was just kind of sitting on top and by the time I walked out to my car I ended up wearing half of it.

This is by far the worst/sorry marble slab. They didn t have half the flavors of ice cream. What they did have was okay but the items that we put into our ice were DISGUSTING!! Cookie dough is the worst thing to have eat, gummy bears tasted like that sat outside in the sun for days and the service wasn t good. The place definitely needs to be cleaned!

First time and probably last time visiting. I asked for 2 scoops on a cone of the cookies and cream and the lady makes me one scoop of smores in a cup. At that point I had already given up because how could you be so wrong already and so just decided to pay for it and it was $6 for one small scoop of ice cream that was already half melted by the time I got it. Definitely not worth the money. If you are in San Marcos, skip marble slab and aim more for a place like Rheas

A friend gave me a $25 gift card. So I went to the store near me. I grabbed a pre packed pint out of the freezer. And they had a special buy 10 cookies get 3 free. I figured the cost would be $17-$20. Wrong! Cashier rung me up $37!! I was shocked. But I handed her my gift card. She says They dont have the ability to process gift cards! So I said Im not buying the items. And walked out. Prices are way too high. And not accepting our own gift cards? 1 star!

Just horrible. This was my first time here and I probably will be my last. They are under staffed I had waited in line for 30-40 minutes, the ice cream was already melting when they handed it to me. One lady had an attitude when getting my other then walked away and had to wait for someone else to get my order again. I wouldn t recommend anyone coming here unless you want to wait 40 minutes in line or want melted ice cream.

Disgusting customer service ! Food was good tho Updating after 4 yrs. They have updated their interior, but the service still is lacking. They ve fired a middle aged lady who is very rude. Asked us to leave when we wanted to sit inside and eat. They used to give a waffle with ice cream, but now it s $1.50 extra. Team members should get more training. Ice cream was great! But I wish I had the patience of the girl who helped me lol. She was extremely slow and on top of that she was explaining step by step what to do to her team mate who clearly was new. She had no idea what she was doing I don t think it was their fault, I m sure their managers could do a better training process so employees are ready to serve their customers.

I have a well trained dog who I adopted out of her service dog training program after she left. I like to scout out pet friendly places to keep up her training and I found marble slab. Everywhere I looked even their website said they were pet friendly. So the other day I went in and it went super well she just laid down while I got my ice cream and a pup cup for her. The guy was super nice and accommodating. Today I go in and the first thing this lady does is yell at me to get my dog out. Yell, she could not have even nicely asked me to take my dog out. When I left I saw the sign out side that said only service dogs allowed in, I can respect that. So I tied my dog up and went back inside. However I told the lady that not only was I allowed in last time but the website says they are pet friendly. When I asked for a small cup of whip cream she told me they don t do that. In the end I got what I came for and the lady rudely told me to get out without paying. This was a very unpleasant woman and the lack of communication within this place astounds me. I will not be going back and I hope in the future she learns how to politely inform people of their policies. We are all humans and make mistakes.

I went here today and got the cake batter flavor, then went to eat it in the car. I got about halfway through and realized there was a small bug in the ice cream. I was worried it had flown inside during my walk back to my car, but it definitely couldnt have because it was IN the ice cream, like I said a good halfway down. I wasnt upset or anything because I know those things happen, but wanted to tell them in case they needed to check the rest of the cake batter or other flavors. I was pretty nervous to tell them because I didnt want to be *that person* but felt like I needed to in case any other customers ran into the same problem. I think I went about it in a nice way, I didnt even ask for a refund or anything but the two ladies who were in there acted like they didnt believe me. If I was going to put a bug in there, I would have asked for a refund. Anyway, the younger lady just called (Im assuming) her superior or boss or whoever over, who proceeded to say to just give me another. I didnt want another though because it seemed like there was a bug in my first serving, so why would I want a second? They didnt apologize or anything else and again, I know it may not have been their personal fault or problem, but I wish they had gone about it in a different way. I think the whole thing just made me upset because I was already pretty nervous to talk to them, and the interaction didnt make me feel any better.

The ice cream was really soft. It was dripping before I was even halfway done with my 1 scoop cone. Looking at the ice cream in the freezer you can even tell it s going to be way too soft. I will say that before closing to remodel I dont recall ever having a bad experience here. Ive visited very frequently and it was my go to ice cream spot in town. But since the remodel coming back, I have had nothing but terrible experiences. The first time was when I showed up back in July at 8 oclock and all of the lights were off and the open sign was off. I told my husband that was weird because the door said they closed at 10. He open the door to find out they were in fact open, but were just hoping that no one else would come for the rest of the night? Fast forward to this weekend we went in at seven, and had the worst experience with the employee. First, when taking my order the employee seemed completely uninterested in listening to me. He had headphone in. As hes making my order he grabs a waffle cone bowl after I had ordered a cone that you hold in your hand and asks me how many scoops did I say that I wanted. I politely responded that I only wanted one scoop and I actually wanted it in one of those cones, and pointed to the cone. He turned around and looked at the many cones that were sitting there, mumbled something, and then continued to put the ice cream in the bowl. He had his headphones in his ear the entire time while serving me, so its no wonder he couldnt hear me or maybe he just really could care less. They handed me and my husband our ice cream at the same time and they were both already a soup like consistency, my husband was melted so much already that it was coming out of the bowl dripping everywhere. It s not that it took them forever to make the ice cream, the slab of marble must have not been frozen enough to keep the ice cream cold? It was just soup dripping from the bowl, Completely unacceptable and just really so disappointing when a business goes from being your complete favorite in the town to the absolute worst. As I read the rest of these reviews and some on yelp, I see that I am not alone in my experience. I have never left a review like this in my life, much less a one star review so that should say something.

Can t complain about the ice cream! But the store in general? It was filthy, sadly The floors were covered in old food under the tables, the bathroom was disgusting. Truly made me wonder how often it actually gets scrubbed. Just dirty looking and paper towels all over the floor. Second time in two weeks where I ve attempted to just buy a cup of ice cream. The first time the doors were locked prior to them being closed and this time they were out of majority of the ice cream flavors. When I asked if they could bring a new tub out she responded it takes 15 minutes to take out and defrost and we close in 15 . I responded by letting her know that was poor customer service as I just drove across town for ice cream. Vanilla ice cream is a basic flavor that I would assume they have.

Came in 30min before closing so the limited available toppings was understandable. The Mango and the Raspberrie sorbets were delicious, especially combined with crushed graham crackers. The small was perfect size for one person...it was so delicious that you could easily put away a large BUT no one needs to eat an entire pint of ice cream in one sitting. No greeting ... And the 18 yr old that let it be known that shes 18 and nothing wrong with letting a customer wait 20 seconds without getting them.... Then the cone maker with her back turned the whole time... Looking like she hated her job.... And a 30 yr oldan that literally put my ice cream down put cookies in it and just threw it in a cup like this is my career...lol Was excited to drive 39 min to get my daughter her ice cream... Till I got here.... Wow... LoL

Been going here for a little while and always enjoyed it, but yesterday was a different story. Yesterday my whole experience was bad, employees were rude didnt wash there hands and it felt like we were bothering them and unwanted. I dont normally leave reviews but thats how bad it was

For the past year I keep being told the manager is working on fixing the cant use the app rewards issue (this started after they replaced their registers with a touch screen). Yet right next to the register is a pile of tear off sheets telling you to sign up for the app. I never get my points anymore bc of it and cant use my birthday coupon I had hoped to use. And the last few times we went they didnt have bananas for smoothies or splits. Overall its decent and the staff is nice but kind of overpriced and its disappointing to not be able to use the rewards I had built up and lost.
