How do you order online and have to go thru the drive thru to pick up your order and not be able to pick it up at the walk up window. Makes no sense. Had to wait an hour in line.

Dutch brothers in San Marcos Rocks! The franchise itself gives you a free medium drink of your choice when you get the app!. ANYTHING! When I got there, somehow I I lost my online order.. long story short; the staff went above and beyond to get my drink out promptly. The online order said, up to 13 min. Nawwww, THEY SLAYYYYY!!! Thank you San Marcos Crew! And, thank you Dutch brothers for my free drink. Btw, they have more than just coffee!! Love this place!!!

Don t go here. This place used to be really good and then over half the original staff left and the new people that are being trained arent being trained properly. The tea here used to be so good and now its always either sugar water or it tastes burnt, probably from not being made right. Y all should just retrain the whole staff at this point because whoever is training the newer people isnt doing it right and it shows.

Placed an order online, it said it would take 25 minutes. I made sure to do it before I left the house to make sure that it was ready by the time I got there. I get there, walk up to the window and was told I cant pick it up from there. That I had to wait in the drive thru line. Mind you, the line was wrapped all the way around and was right next to the smoothie drive thru line. There had to be at LEAST 15 cars in this drive thru. I didnt order ahead to just sit in the same line as everyone else just placing their order. Everytime I go, it takes a minimum of 20 minutes, sometimes up to 40 minutes which is why I ordered ahead. I just said to cancel it and I was told I had to email to get the refund which is ridiculous. Id rather support other local coffee spots. Triple 6 Social, Wake the dead and Summer Moon are just a few that are good, have great service and great coffee or other drinks too.

Why offer order ahead if you have to sit through the long lines?? This location does NOT allow pick up at the window. Drive through lines are wrapped and there is absolutely NO ONE at the walk up window. When asked if we have to wait in the line, I was told the manager doesnt allow order ahead at the window. With all the construction already around it thats just ridiculous. Sorry but wont return to this location.

Then they let a car go ahead of us because they were with the other car that already took their order, which doesn t make any sense to the rest of the people that are waiting and paying for themselves. I had a very bad experience with one particular barista. I went to the drive thru and I ordered my favorite of all times.and this short blonde girl with a raspy voice gave me a very negative rude attitude when I told her my drink was wrong. Atmosphere for a drive thru? Meh. They skipped our vehicle when taking orders. It was pretty obvious we should have been next. Window service was apologetic of our situation but they brought someone the work the window in the middle of figuring it out and she had to stop and deal with the trash so we waited a little more. Got on the road and took a sip of my large iced SF caramel latte and it tasted like soap. I thought maybe it was my imagination, but nope, still soap. Still not convinced that I had just spend money on a huge drink that I could not drink so I took another sip still soap. Hubby s SF vanilla was fine. Not sure it s worth the wait, the cost, or the risk. Not stopping there again. (Note, if it wasn t soap I don t think I want to know what it was. I m diabetic and order sf flavor all the time, I ve never had one taste this bad.)

I frequent this Dutch Bros often and am usually impressed with their service. I drive 30 minutes to come to Dutch Bros because it usually has a great atmosphere and they hire people with amazing customer service skills. However, today my experience was not what it usually is, and I am thoroughly disappointed. When I first pulled up, the Broista who was taking orders didn t acknowledge that I was in line and went back inside after finishing the order in front of me. This normally doesnt bother me, I get it, it s cold outside, however I was met with a look of disgust when I pulled up to the window. When I gave my order, I ordered my drink warm and was condescendingly asked you mean not so hot? I explained that another Broista told me to order my drink warm so I get my temperature preference. From then on, I felt intentionally ignored. I told her that I forgot to give her my app before my card and I wanted to use my app multiple times, clearly and at a volume she absolutely heard. She ignored my request multiple times and was humming along to the music playing in the background. After she ran my card, I asked again for her to scan my app and she seemed clearly bothered by the request. I work in customer service and understand having an off day, but I left feeling ignored and like I was a huge inconvenience by being there. I felt undeserving of her help getting a drink. I drove away and found that the drink I received was completely wrong (I ordered a peppermint coca with oat milk and white chocolate and received some kind of coffee with what tastes like almond milk and no flavors from what I could tell). I hope that my next experience is that of what I m used to at this location.

Service and atmosphere were alive and on point so no issue there. But the flavors of the drinks are a bit off I ve noticed that when I get different iced drinks there is no taste difference. The golden eagle and the annihilator for example taste the same from this location, there aren t any noticeable chocolate notes in the annihilator. The coffee is still good it just taste sometimes like the measurements are off for the flavors in the drinks. The San Marcos location was my very first experience with Dutch Bros and had been several times before I tried the newer one in Seguin and that s when I realized I was truly missing out because they blend their flavors so well in the iced drinks and you can take the difference between the drinks.

My husband and I decided to try Dutch Bros. for the 1st time and were both happy with the great tasting coffee, the service and even the wait time wasn t too bad considering the long car lines. We then went again the following Saturday with high expectations as before but the car lines were not moving much. We did take it into consideration they were busier than our previous visit but having to wait 30 minutes just for coffee is quite ridiculous. Once at the window finally we get our 2 coffees and are no longer hot as requested. Now although they did make it right by remaking our 2 coffees hot, I do have to say this Dutch Bros. location in San Marcos needs improvement on providing faster service.

I went to Dutch bros for the first time EVER at exactly 5am on Sunday august 31. I was helped by two ladies. They were FAST and SOOOO nice. I was confused about ordering bc it was my first time and the lady at the window helped me. She even said taste it, if it s not good enough we will fix it . It was perfect the first time. It was my first time trying dutch bros after hearing so much about it . I just left this location at 9:30 p.m . It was a line in the drive thru about five cars , I chose the walk up option . There was three employees one left after making herself a drink and left the other girls in a middle of a rush . It took about 15 min for my drink . I ordered a caramelizer . IT honestly didnt taste like any Carmel was in it at all . I dont know if it was due to the young lady trying to make orders so quickly by herself or something got miscommunicated . I ordered it also blended but got just ice . If it is like this late at night I can only wonder how there mornings go . I dont know if I will try it again or maybe just a different location .

Was a good cup of coffee and staff was super nice! They even let us take pup cups home with us even though we didnt have out dogs with us. While the line was long , it only took about 15-20 minutes to get our drinks. And we had about 20sih cars in front of us.

Was never a starbucks girl, but when Dutch Bros opened here we gave it a try and holy cow! Ive been obsessed since day 1! Dutch Bros is somewhere I could seriously go to every day if I had the means, theyre just that good!! Ive since been slowly working my way through their indepth menu, trying a variety of flavors and beverages and have not had a single bad drink! Everything has always been made perfectly, full of flavor and the staff is SO patient and helpful to guide you through the menu or make recommendations for newbies like me. Ive tried teas, frosts, breves, chais, and my favorites are the chais and frosts so far! But again, there is literally no bad choice here! You cannot go wrong with your order if you tried. They have their drinks down to perfection, literally. Theyre also exceptionally fast, even on busy days with wrapped lines, they have amazing service! I would definitely recommend giving them a try! And if youre not sure what to order, feel welcome to ask the staff for suggestions! They have great taste! Dietary restrictions: You can ask or sub for other kinds of milk if needed.

This location is amazing! yes the wait times can be a little long but its not just a new location thats still getting its bearings, the location is also in San Marcos where everyplace has longer waiting times due to the volume of people that are coming in for school. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is fun! I also wanted to say thank you to Wes! My girlfriend and I came to renew her birthday drink coupon and the drink she got wasnt one that she liked, we went back and not only got a new one for free, but Wes made sure to take care of everything. Thank you to everyone working there!

The coffee is just OK, but my word, the wait was terrible! People who had paid ended up leaving without their drinks after waiting 15 to 20 mins for a coffee. There wasnt a long line (maybe 4 or 5 cars), but it took so long to get our order, and it wasnt worth the wait.

I like this place, one thing I will say is if you have ALLERGIES be EXTRA CAREFUL! I ve stopped by to get an iced kicker with oat milk a couple of times and it s been good except for the last time I stopped by. I ordered and got my drink like normal but after driving off the lot I noticed the lid didn t say oat on it like it usually does so I drove back to the store to ask and double check just to be sure before I drank it. I have a horrible allergy to diary and so I didn t want to risk it. I walked up to the window and the lady was nice when I explained what happened and asked if it was oat milk (because I just wanted to double check before I started drinking it). She assured me that it was oat milk and that they had accidentally switched the lids and that s why it didn t say the right thing. I left feeling confident that that s what happened and drank my drink but after 30 I spent the rest of my day in the bathroom with a hot water bottle on my stomach to help with the horrendous cramps. I understand that they were probably busy and trying to be quick but it s disappointing because I feel as though I did what I could to be sure and I was still left with a drink that made me sick. Overall, lesson learned on my part and I just wanted to share for those with dietary restrictions.

Grew up in Oregon and live in Arizona. Lines are always long at Dutch Bros. The service at this location was INSANELY slow. Expect to wait a long time here. Cant believe I tipped before I ever got our drinks. Lesson learned. Window had a full blown conversation with the car in front of me, AFTER they got their drinks.

The cold brew is a bit sour. Service is okay. Maybe growing pains, but the lines are a little slow. The drive through at this one is laid out strangely. It reminds me of a putt-putt golf course, but you drive through it.

The barista Ellie in the front taking orders is a pure angel! She has great customer service and patients and is so kind considering she had a long line outside with people overheating and starting to fight lol She was so sweet to me and I was having so many issues with my cards but she fixed my issue and sent me home with an amazing blended energy drink . It was so yummy I got the Vampire Slayer blended with Tajin on top. Omg so good man!!! 10/10!

Better than dunkin Donuts and 10x better than Starbucks or should I call me Stealbucks. The prices and the drinks here are phenomenal one of a kind deliciousness. They make the drinks really good, especially at this location in San marcos. Plus a bonus that the staff are wonderful. They go above and beyond to make your day. There customer service is top tier compared to the other places. I recommend this dutch bros for the drinks and for the amazing staff.

Great coffee, but awkward service. Seems like the employees are forced to make conversation and sometimes I just want coffee. Also making the employees meet you outside in the midst of record breaking heat is pretty cruel. The employees better make $20+ an hour otherwise its just exploitation. Also not being able to order from the app seems silly. Vegetarian options: They do have non dairy milk options
