It s a quick breakfast please which is affordable. I really love this place and they have turkey sausage or veggies sausage kolache for people with dietary restrictions. Whenever I am in a hurry I just drop by and grab few kolaches for breakfast or lunch.

Great food and great service. Would recommend to anyone in the area Dietary restrictions: I m lactose intolerant, so my options for savory kolaches were very limited. I was expecting that though, so I don t mind! I m also allergic to pecans so I appreciate that the worker made sure to check that my cinnamon roll had chocolate chips and not pecans since they re kept in the same display case.

This Texas expat lives in a barren, kolacheless wasteland now. I stopped here on my way to the airport from a conference not knowing any local places. Spot on. Fire. I nearly wept in the car as I bit into a jalapeño cheese sausage. I should have brought another bag to take more home. I will not make that mistake again. Service is also really good

Omg, such a cute place with a variety of kolaches to pick. Found out from my son that he loves coming here to get kolaches, so he introduced us when we were helping with move in. My husband and I were just passing through and decided to stop. We had low expectations. We normally go to the Czech backery in West TX. Driving back home, we were presently surprised. The cinnamon rolls were absolutely phenomenal, and better than our home town bakery. We also got the Jalp. Cheese sausage kolache. Normally Im not a bug fan because most places use hot dogs and call it a kolavhe. Dos Gatos used real sausage and it was amazing. 10/10 recommend

The sausage in the kolache was too close to the bottom of the baked bread so it would fall out. The coffee was poorly made and kept too hot. Got a sweet baked good with fruit filling and it just tasted like a marker with lumpy filling. To cap it all off there was an auto tip option on the little screen at the cashier. For what? Handing me a bag? Pfft. Pay your workers more and remove the tipping feature from those screens. Quit taking advantage of that psychological ploy to get people to guilt themselves in to tipping. Most importantly, fix your kolaches, that is supposed to be your centerpiece.

Went to both locations today but did not buy anything because the staff handling the food were picking at their face and eating while serving, touching in their mouth and then touching our food. No gloves, the tissue paper barrier wasn t effective because they were touching the food and/or the food was touching the same contact areas anyways

The savory breakfast kolaches at Dos Gatos are incredible. The owners clearly put a lot of pride into the work they do and it shows. The dough is so wonderfully baked and they pair excellently with the high quality meats and cheeses they fill them with. While I haven t had any of the fruit-filled sweet kolaches I absolutely expect the ingredient and preparation quality to be every bit as outstanding. The justified popularity of this place means that if a wide selection of fresh kolache options is your aim you ll want to arrive earlier so that some of the best aren t already sold out. However if you find yourself a little lethargic after a night of partying they ve got day-old bulk deals for some of the most popular options which, if reheated properly at home, are almost every bit as good. Whether you re coming into town or just passing through I highly recommend Dos Gatos to everyone.

I ve been eating here since college in 2009. Didnt go here for two years and then went two weeks ago. I got sick and vomited due to a fresh polish sausage kolache. I asked to talk to a manger but apparently the workers run it without a lot of managerial oversight according to a worker i spoke with. That usually happens when you open multiple locations which they have recently done. It s sad but I won t return. Be careful here

Oh my! These are true kolachies! I had peaches and cream and their kolache of the day, pecan and honey, along with a sausage . Truly delicious and just the right texture, soft, yeasty, yet firm. The sausage was Opas which is great sausage but wrapped in their dough is a whole new level of yummy. Coffee was good too. Any time in San Marcos will go again!

This place has legendary kolaches and klobasniky like your real or imaginary texas mamaw made. Dos Gatos, I dont know how, makes them just as good or better, depending on the caliber of mamaw. This place is worth driving an hour into town to go to, and the coffee is fantastic as well, get the pecan blend. I called google to give me a one time ability to give a place six stars, but they got all snooty and said only places in Austin are that good. Dos Gatos is one of three places here that proves them wrong!

They are just ok. I would consider them better than Shipleys but they fall short of some of tge great places like Round Rock Donuts. They don t make the kolaches onsite. Instead they are made a day or days before and shipped to the different locations. You then have the option of buying them cold or warmed up in a microwave. Because of this tgey run out of popular kolaches early. So you are not guaranteed the good kolaches even at 8am. You as a customer are buying a day old product at best, that is microwaved and may or may not be in stock when you come in. That being said they are not bad.

Wow, best kolach Ive had. An unassuming shop in a strip mall that will brighten your day while filling your belly. Once I found out about this spot I started coming here at least once a week. Pretty much every San Marcos local knows about Dos Gatos, and for good reason: the kolaches here are ridiculously good; so good, in fact, that it will pretty much ruin kolaches for you about anywhere else. Big fan of the Jalapeno Sausage Patty w/ cheese kolache, will usually get 2 of those and some dessert or fruit kolache. If you are looking for breakfast in San Marcos, go here - you wont be disappointed.
