Great customer service!!! We went on a Sunday, $1 raw oysters were great(Forgot to take pictures of the oysters!!! A variety of wine selection, they didn t have sweet wines. But once we told the girls we had never been there, they gave us their recommendations. Seating inside is limited but completely of seating out with fans. Definitely a must, will be coming back.

Loved the set up. Wines all over the wall where it doesn t feel so pristine or boujee vibe. Gives off sort of a neighborhood dive bar with graffiti on the outside focused on wine but the selection is great, prices are great, seating is a bit limited indoors as well as parking spots. Can pick up funky wines if you re looking to explore outside of your normal everyday wines. Some of the bottle have descriptors written them and for white, rose, sparkling wines, they provide ice buckets to keep them chilled. It s definitely a come as you are kinda place. Loved it and would come back again.

Really neat artwork and fantastic bottle selection, but very little available to drink on site. We visited on a weekday and got the sense that despite being paying customers, we were more of an inconvenience to the staff. Would visit again for some unique bottles of wine, but probably skip the drink-in.

Pretty sweet little place where you can basically make whatever you want out of your afternoon/evening. We went on a Wednesday night for the $1 oyster deal. The oysters were delicious and very fresh! We tried a funky wine that was recommended by the staff that was quite funky in a good way. Its quite close to traffic so it can get a little noisy and it has a burger drive through next door as well which kind of hangs heavy but its a very hip place to be. If youre in San Antonio and want something completely different you should check this place out! Vegetarian options: They have bread and butter and cheese plates. Dietary restrictions: Its light fare so you should be okay but there is shellfish sold here sometimes. Parking: Park in the few streets over. Kid-friendliness: Somewhat kid friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible but challenging due to the slopes of the place.

Little Death is usually one of our favorite San Antonio spots due to the great wine selection and incredible customer service. However, today we were met with an employee who quite rudely told us we were not allowed to taste wines before committing to a glass. This had never been the case in the past, and we ended up disappointed with the recommendation and our selections. Hopefully, we hit it on an off-day and will have a better experience during our next visit!

When I walked in the place was empty minus Maryia and two I believe distributors. They were doing a tasting/having a meeting at one of the tables. I didn t feel very welcomed and was soon disappointed as I felt I was disturbing their conversation. I explained I came out of state to try this place and one would think you would interact with your guest. Maryia did not do that. Just said that wall is the French selection and the other is everywhere else then she sat down to continue her meeting. I was super annoyed because I was SO EXCITED and wanted to talk and learn about the wines they have. Fast forward to after they left Maryia was not busy so I kindly said hey just a recommendation, I wouldn t hold those type of meetings while guests are present well she DID NOT LIKE THAT. She then got offended by questions I asked her and ARGUED with me. Honey, we the guests PAY YOUR BILLS. Seriously I saw other reviews about her and confused on how she s still working there as she is hurting the establishment. GUYS GO ELSEWHERE, LITTLE DEATH WAS AWFUL. UPDATE: spoke to Chad( the owner) and he was also RUDE. He explained he did not believe me and Maryia is exceptional*. No customer service, little knowledge, and a nasty attitude is not exceptional. Lord half mercy this place is going nowhere!!! So many other great places to go. BE AWARE!!!

Heard really great things about Little Death and was excited to try it, but my expectations soon dropped the longer I stayed in this establishment. The staff onsite, Maryia was not very welcoming and it seemed as if we were a disturbance to the property. When you are excited about trying a new place and the reality hits you that hard it s very disappointing. Customer service in this establishment could use a refresher.

Little Death is a local wine bar that has a fun vibe, solid wine, and cheap oysters on Wednesday. The walls are lined with bottles you can buy and drink on the spot. There are some additional food options besides oysters like cheese, crackers, and nuts. Prices are reasonable at around $7 for a glass of their wine. Youll likely be sitting next to a different group of you sit inside because all they have are long continuous tables.

We ve been here twice now and will continue coming back. They have a very extensive collection of wines that you can buy by the bottle and also have daily rotations of different things you can get by the glass. They are very helpful and good at helping you decide what bottle to get based on personal preferences. They also have a kind of make your own charcuterie board option where you can get different meats, different cheeses, olives, bread and butter, white beans, etc. both times we ve been we ve gotten there three cheese plate and all of the cheeses have been wonderful! The bread they serve with it is also nice and pillowy and flavorful. We will definitely be recommending Little Death to others and be bringing more friends here in the future. P.S. if you want more of a meal to go with your wine there are several restaurants you can get takeout from within walking distance that are excellent. They also have mostly outdoor seating so bringing food from other places is not a problem.

Solomon prepared the most amazing espresso for me (they told me it was from a lovely place and a lovely person but I forgot the specifics and I m too nervous to ask, but it was so tasty that I believe it.) - missing the espresso here would be a modern tragedy you wouldn t want to enact. Coffee/espresso served til 1:30 too! The wine selection is brilliant.. they start selling wine @ 1 so you can pick up a bottle and a cappuccino, wow okay They have a huge natural wine selection and the first two bottles I selected (with the super pleasant help/advice of Maria) were $24 and $25 respectfully. Both tasted like they should be much more expensive but I m an amateur so this is my way of saying this is suspiciously delicious damn, I m getting a deal. Would recommend Little Death all around - the aesthetics are also cute as hell, you ll see art covering the entire building.

I ve been dying to go to this establishment for a few months and finally had the opportunity to go tonight. I was disappointed and saddened by the terrible customer service I received. I asked a simple question is it sold by the glass or bottle or both? You would have thought I asked an asinine question. One of the girls was very short with me and was not helpful at all. Then when I was closing out, she decided I should give her a 20% tip before letting me decide for myself what she should get. She had already input the 20%. I get it, the industry is absolutely crazy right now and I am thankful to all of those working, especially during the holiday season. But it is not appropriate to fill in how much a customer should tip you. I did adjust it but honestly, I would have given her 20% if not more if she hadn t done that. Even though her attitude was terrible. Will not be going back and would not recommend.

I love natural wine and was so excited when Little Death opened here in San Antonio. Ive gone to Little Death now 7 times, and every time Im saddened by how unfriendly the staff are. When I ask for suggestions, for example, I feel like theyre annoyed that I dare ask a friendly question - its like they look down their nose at me. Its a too-cool-for-school vibe thats super clique-ish. I rarely write reviews, but am doing so now with the hope that this can help Little Death become a friendlier and more inclusive establishment. Id love to go there and be treated with kindness and respect. I hope thats not too much to ask!

I kept going back and even got a t-shirt but I started to notice the staff is not as helpful as the original woman we met and are on the side of being rude. We dont know much about wine but that is why you go to a place like Little Death to ask questions and learn. We are also respectful of other in line so we have let people skip ahead of us to order. With every return we felt more blown off because we dont know as much or their more frequent consumers/friends are more important. Very upset and disappointed.

The space looks like a converted gas station or tire shop of sorts and has been completely covered in crazy, colorful murals. Nestled at the very end of North Saint Mary s strip it s perfectly located and has many neighboring spots to continue having an excellent time. Treat yourself!

This bar is fantastic. If you want a sommelier, dont come here. They have good wine and they are friendly and helpful in guiding your tastes, but it is bar service, not top end table service. Some patience is required if it is busy, and the vibe can change to rowdy or loud on weekends, if there are food events. If youre laid back, polite and enjoy wine youre *going* to love it. If you want a more traditional wine bar with more trad wines and table service, go to high street, another cool place.

The nerve of these people. First of all, the service is incredible. Second of all, the wine picks are always spot on. Third of all...HOW DARE THEY DO IT AL WITH SO MUCH STYLE. My only complaint is the lady sitting next to me kept going on about how Paramour was her jam . I threw up a little in my mouth.

The people who work here have a terrible attitude. If you re looking for bad vibes and good wine here s the place. The lady who took my order had a terrible and aggressive attitude so I approached the manager to let her know and she literally said we re just casual . Casual doesn t mean rude. #youneednewmanagememt

Top class! LD has quickly become the go-to wine and beer spot on St. Marys. Plenty of outdoor seating and many awesome food choices in the area! Me and the buddies are here multiple times per week!

Loved this funky wine bar! We both two bottles and really enjoyed it. Their local artist is super talented, and if we are ever back in San Antonio we will for sure visit!

Absolutely love this place. Great location in a cool part of town. Parking is just bad all around here but that s a minor detail. The wine selection is excellent and so different and the staff really know how to help you pick the one you re looking for. Snacks also available and they re tasty and easy to share amongst a bottle. Small spot with just a couple of long tables that you share with everyone basically. Its perfect. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
