I m so glad we were able to get married here, lovely set up and enough room for 18 guests. Definitely recommend showing up at the exact time your wedding is supposed to take place. If you show up too early, you may have to wait outside. It was a short and sweet ceremony. We were so happy with the outcome!

If you re looking for a simple, small, intimate and quick ceremony, Arthur at The Courthouse Wedding Chapel is the place. We were able to fit about 25 people in the room comfortably. Arthur was professional and provided us a beautiful ceremony. It was the perfect place for us and can t recommend him enough!

Perfect for a small intimate wedding! I am so glad we chose this place. Mr Art. Was very friendly and patient, he is bilingual which was perfect as my now husband does not speak english. The ceremony was fast, the place is beautifully decorated and he does play music as bride does walk down the aisle Also.. we walked literally a min or 2 to the cathedral to take a few photos. Couldnt be any happier.

OMG!! Art was just as great as the reviews say. He is amazing.. we forgot our marriage license and ran 15 min late.. he also had another appointment within 30 after we arrived.. my husband ran home to grab the license and Art amazingly was able to push his next appointment back a few minutes to complete our wedding!!! Very affordable too!! Thank you so much Sir for your services.. youre so amazing at what you do! And I know you might not have been able any other day to push an appointment back but you blessed us with the date we really needed to be married on. THANKS!!

Mr. Art was wonderful. This is my 1st marriage, I was nervous, not sure how it would turn out but it was an unforgettable and beautiful ceremony for us. His words were beautiful and hes better looking than Elvis in Vegas! . The chapel was so personalable and intimate setting for our small gathering of family so it made it extra special. Great experience! Great venue! Great Price! Great officiant/pastor! My bride said its perfect. Perfect for eloping and small, intimate weddings. Be sure to bring a lock and lock in your love at the bridge right outside. Reverend Fores makes the ceremony special. He is a most considerate man. He took pictures and shared with us in discussion even after the ceremony. Ive wanted to elope here (with her) for a couple years now. You see it on the riverwalk during romantic moments and it makes sense as the place to tie the knot. Reverend Flores is nondenominational - so he can marry a catholic girl and an Amish boy - or a stern protestant and laid back southern baptist. I hope to remember his words for years to come - he is more than just an officiant, he cites the word of God and makes it truly special.

I just got married here on the 16th and it was beautiful. Everything was ready to go and I ended up with a little under 25 guest and it was perfect. He was super patient as one of our guest was running late I couldn t ask for a better service. I will say that I didn t expect a religious ceremony but that s absolutely on us for not asking about it.

This is a very late review since I finally have the photos to go with it. I cannot stress how wonderful this gentleman made it for us. He gave me extra time to make sure I was ready, he allowed our pup to be the ring bearer, and helped us in many other ways. I would recommend this to anyone. We felt especially in love with this place because we had our first kiss right in front of this building, by the lock bridge, way before we knew it was a chapel. It was very affordable and we didn t have to set anything up in the room. It s all done for you.

Let s be perfectly clear this is a place for small intimate weddings. Don t come here expecting to have 30+ guests. This place is amazing. All we needed was a small intimate ceremony with our son. It was very special and very sweet. The pastor never gave us any issues. He was very accepting of our situation and very humble about his business. It s very hard to find honest people in this type of business not looking for just a paycheck. He did more than expected. Even took a few (or more) photos of us. We feel very lucky to have met such a kind person we HIGHLY RECOMMEND and will be attaching a few photos taken by the pastor himself. anyone looking to do a large wedding please, do your research on EVERYONE included who you will being paid by you and or significant other. We were in town for my nephews Air Force basic training graduate, and he and his girlfriend got married! They are from Idaho, we are from Texas. So it was so special to be able to be a part of his wedding day! We loved the little chapel. It was nicely decorated. And had a nice archway that was perfect for cute wedding pictures. The gentleman that officiated the ceremony was very friendly. And made the whole process comfortable, and memorable. I would highly recommend using this chapel for a small quick ceremony. It was perfect. And after the ceremony, right outside the chapel there is a bridge that goes over the riverwalk, and the bridge has locks all over it. You and your love are meant to symbolize your love and putting the lock on the bridge and throw away the key! It was so sweet. And the gentleman was so kind to give my nephew a lock to use. Highly recommend.

What a great experience! My wife and I were married here in 2017. Don did the ceremony for us and it was amazing. He was very friendly and professional and also had a great sense of humor. Couldnt have asked for anything more. Fast forward 6 years. We went by the Chapel to show our 2 little ones where mom and dad got married and we met Art. Art was also amazing, he was very welcoming to us and the kids and made us feel right back at home. We highly recommend the Chapel for anyone looking to get married. Make sure you bring a lock for the lock bridge. You will not be disappointed.

Brides Beware! You do not want to get married at this location or by Art. He was kind and Christ-like on the phone and even professes to be a Born Again believer. Uh No. I booked this venue for June 16th, 2022. I decided to go there today after Art told us we can come peer into the windows to view the venue anytime. We noticed a wedding party waiting outside in the sweltering heat waiting their turn. Their makeup was melting; their dresses were sweaty and there was nowhere cool for them to wait. The chapel is sandwiched in between a fast food Mexican Restaurant and a liquor store, plus the outside reeks of urine from the homeless population that dwells there at night. There is litter everywhere. My daughter and I peered through the window and the people were stuffed in there like sardines. When I questioned the waiting wedding party and those that were coming out, I found Art booked 2 weddings at the same time. I waited until the wedding was complete and called Art to ask if I can view the space. He was rude, nasty, short- tempered and mean. I asked him if someone would be getting married on my daughters date that would force us to wait in the heat and he immediately got defensive and yelled that I am no one to question him. I was kind and respectful and paused to ask another question to see if we could peek in to check the space before the next wedding. He said yes, but quickly said it wasnt necessary. He said I had no right to look or ask him any questions because Im no one. He cut me off and hung up in my face. I abruptly canceled. Ladies, you are better to marry in a park or backyard. The decorations are gawdy; the space is tight; the pastor is a jerk; and you must walk through trash and urine stained walkways past a liquor store to get there. I would have been mortified if this was our wedding day. Dont do it! Youre better off at the Courthouse or doing it at home. Keep in mind, when the bride and wedding party came out, they looked like they just ran a 5k in 100 degree heat. Make up was messed up; dresses were sweaty and hanging; and their beautiful hairstyles were ruined and wet through and through. Dont do it. I served 30 years in the Army and retired as a senior officer. Please trust my judgment and find another location ASAP. My daughter and her fiance witnessed all this. Her fiance is a mild mannered man and was horrified at the way Art talked to me.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Art a so called man of God. Who is not very professional and I understand only human but if you confess to be a man of God then you should know the importance of treating others with kindness & how you would want to be treated. Agape love goes a long way and so does respect. Today I received none of that from him, Im not sure if it was because he discovered it would be a union between 2 women or if he was just having a bad day. I loved this place. My husband and I were married here 2 weeks ago and I wish I could do it all over again. Its a very cozy and romantic little chapel. I love the fact that no other couples are allowed in the chapel other than the couple being married along with their family and friends. I do wish the ceremony was a little longer because each ceremony only lasts about 10-15 minutes due to other appointments in line. Other than that I strongly recommend this place and Art provides such great service! Also theres a fence for you to place a lock as a memory on there. So sweet! We had my sons wedding here. Its a little hidden gem, a cozy chapel located downtown S.A. Just perfect for a small intimate wedding (20 people max) I believe. Take a cruise some time before the day of your event to find parking areas or carpool with others theres limited parking. The man that performed the ceremony was so friendly and very kind. Don was awesome, super friendly. We paid 100 for a superfast weekend ceremony. Only negatives Id say is that it was extremely hot in there and it was hard to enjoy the moment and stare lovingly into each others eyes while were both pouring Sweat. Didnt make for the best pictures either since everyone was just trying to get out of there and into air conditioning as quickly as possible. Also he asked us to give vows which is amazing, its something I really wanted but didnt know would happen so we were both unprepared for that. Really wish I wouldve gotten to prepare for that part when we talked about the ceremony with him beforehand. Otherwise was nice. Id recommend for anyone wanting something to share with family and friends but not wanting to break the bank.

If youre in the military ask for the guy who does military marriage. Hes an older white guy, he will get you married that same day and best of all he does all the paperwork for you ,no need to go to court and to fill out any documents he does it all just show up , I forgot his name but hews awesome, the ladies should know who he is his chapel is walking distance from the courthouse.

We enjoyed the ceremony held there. The person officiating was very cheerful and friendly. There is seating for about 20 people. The place is nicely decorated for weddings. The entrance is on the back side of the building on the corner, it faces the river side. Take a lock with you to put on the river fence. Nice for very intimate weddings.

We got married last Wednesday and it s a great place for a small intimate wedding. Rev Don was amazing made our day very memorable and a breeze. It was 80$ and Don went and got us 2 certified copies of our marriage certificate. Would definitely recommend this if you re looking for a small sweet wedding. Thank you so much Don!

Rev Don was outstanding! He met us at the marriage license office and walked all the required paperwork through taking all the pressure off of us. He made our memorable day extremely special. This day was very memorable We just had to walk to the court house went to the clerk signs papers pay our marriage lisence fee and bam! Instead we paid $80 extra to get walked to the clerks office and walked to the chapel, when we got to the chapel we didn t have any time to freshen up, it was a hot day being that it was summer 2018, I wasn t able to walk down the isle , short & quick prayer was made, Now I have to remember being rushed on the day we said I do We were rushed for the fact he had another couple that had arrived to the court house the same time we were heading to the chapel. I didn t expect this experience at all and wish I could go back to erase this bad experience and go a different route for my husband and I. Our day was rushed

I felt very rushed, and it was really hot in there, I paid lots of money to have my hair and makeup done that day and just for me to start dripping sweat within seconds upon us arriving there. I picked the place because I thought it was going to be more intament than the courthouse but boy was I wrong. I defiantly wouldnt recommend.

Got married here on Saturday I have to say it was the most beautiful place we couldve chosen for a small wedding. Reverend Donald was incredibly sweet and made it such an ease and took so much stress off our shoulders. Explained everything thoroughly and answered all our questions. Rev. Don is absolutely amazing. He walked us to the courthouse to get our license. Walked us back. Explained everything. And was great. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful. He caught us off guard by asking us to tell each other something from our heart. Lol. He accommodated everyone. The only issue we had was that it was raining terribly and very cold. My dad was lost in traffic and was late. We did not know there was only a 30 min window and there was another wedding waiting. We had a huge wedding party and my dad flew in from flordia just for the wedding to give me away and is elderly riding with a groomsman who got stuck in traffic and ended up not making a turn and a bit lost. The wedding before us ran a bit late too. The weather was horrible. I was stressed out and he was rushing us. I understand but we could have switched times with the other wedding he could have told us we could or something. By the time everyone got there, my groomsman and son ringbearer ended up not walking the aisle and we forgot to take pic with our parents due to the rush. With all that said it was a fabulous ceremony and weather cannot be controlled and he did his best. To help. We loved it. We got our wedding license and copies in the mail in less than 5 days!!!!!! Its all included in the price which is great!!! They have bouquets and fake rings if you need them! Dont forget your lock with a key! Thanks Rev. Don!

Cute wedding chapel right downtown. Ceremony was nice and takes between 10 to 15 minutes. Don was great, he explained everything with detail, he knows what hes doing. We had our marriage license on time with 2 certified copies.
