Satipa, the bartender, is incredible! Her customer service is outstanding, and she makes you feel so welcome. The entire staff and atmosphere are fantastic, and the food and hookah is excellent. I would definitely recommend this place every time!

The music sucks tbh house music is NOT a vibe and if the customers are asking you change the music just change the music. Ppl literally got up and left like a whole bridal party. The DJ really needs to learn how to read the room. If patrons are leaving is because of the MUSIC. The food was good the waitresses are amazing but come on with the Damn house music like every place plays that music . It s literally two clubs up stairs that dedicate to those crowds.

Wont swear on the food (since we didnt eat) but some constructive criticism service is pretty dang slow considering one of the major draws is of course the hookah but the sheesha tastes and rips incredibly cheap which for the price is still pretty good i mean 30 for some sheesha is incredible but i wouldnt mind more expensive options that hit like a stack of raw charcoal. All jokes aside the music was pretty hard for a place offering hookah. Think about it like this hookah puts people in a relaxed headspace and to play loud and upbeat music feels semi opressive considering the environment is pretty good for hookah and matches the respective activity. That being said the music does not at all so if it were up to me id play more rnb and soul then straight up rap ( we heard dmx and shabba by asap pretty up beat.) But thats just my personal thing maybe others feel differently either way decent joint.

We had been here a couple times in the past a few years ago. We wanted to top off date night with some good memories, so we stopped in. Apparently, it is under new management. There was no food, and the drink selection was limited... They didnt even have Jack Daniels when my husband asked for Jack and Coke. I asked what types of hookah they had and the waitress had no idea; there was no menu to look at. She came out a few minutes later and gave me only one flavor. I asked if they had mint... As she said they dont have mint. And then I asked about iced hoses or bottoms and she seemed clueless. We ended up sitting at the bar because all of the tables were reserved. The hookah contraption they brought out to us was a plastic box the size of a Harry Potter book... It looked real beat up with burn marks all over it. One of the most jankiest things Ive ever seen. The music wasnt really a chill vibe at all like a usual hookah bar is... Mainly rap music encouraging patrons to pop that p***y. Im always up for a good time, but I felt like I was at a bros party instead of a chill hookah lounge that I have known Amore to be before. Yeah, not going back.

The Venue is quite small, and for some reason I had to listen to 25 minutes of Soulja Boy..... The waitress we had was very nice and attentive though. Hookah was good although a bit strong in the beginning. For some reson they didnt have any of the drinks I ordered so i had to settle for a beer. Also this is not a restaurant I asked if there was food and was told no but there were restaurants in the shopping strip. Id go back again on just a chill night with a few friends but I wouldnt go expecting it to be this regular weekend party/ night club or typical Hookah turn up spot.

Been here a couple times before it turned into a club at night time. They did update the inside seating but unfortunately its very uncomfortable and its medical office furniture. I honestly miss the old maroon comfy couches and the decor with a more eclectic feel. The waitresses were definitely sweethearts and they do not serve food unfortunately which is my reason for a 4 star. Its the main reason aside from the hookah that I came to the spot. They do however let you Uber eats. I went on a Friday around 8pm.

Theres definitely room for improvement. My friends and I reserved a table and got a bottle of ciroc.. took forever to get it and they didnt bring any mixers so we had to go to the bar ourselves to get them. DJ mixed gospel music with raunchy songs.. strange. There was no ac on so everyone was fanning themselves with paper, napkins, ANYTHING! The servers took away our ice bucket, cups, and mixers way before closing but left the bottle.. like, you want us to just take shots?? It was a bizarre experience. Wouldnt recommend

Visited with my girlfriend. Tables were reserved, so we were offered a place at the bar. I then saw an adolescent cockroach on the napkins on the bar. Staff member was alerted, they rolled up the roach in the napkins, trashed them, and went to the manager without washing their hands. Manager passively continued to smoke their hookah and told the staff member to offer us a table but that we would have to move when the reserving party came in. Suffice to say, my girl and I left. Terrible service.

Great spot in Shavano Park area. The manager was very nice and personable. We came here for my brothers bday and the manager made him feel so welcomed. The DJ was great, my husband tipped him . Food was good and waitress was polite and attentive. The drinks are pricey for San Antonio but it was a celebration so didnt dwell on that. This is a great chill spot and Ill definitely be back.

If I could give a Zero or negative number I would. Manager is rude and just sits there smoke her hookah then kicks you of a table for a reservation that never showed up but can t even control her servers because of your servers would do their job we would be bn gone and not kicked out. Then you ask for the next step up to talk to and it s Marcus bit you can t talk to him so basically the staff just does what they want to do just unprofessional never coming back.

Worst out experience I have have had in a very long time. First of all, we made a reservation and drove all the way from Killeen, TX because this spot came highly recommended. Initially they only had wells tequila. No patron, no Avion, not even hornitos. Come on guy.. I had one drink and started vibe a little bit because the music was getting there. I ordered another drink only to find that the wells tequila was not available. Also, the bar ran out of Hennessy. This is all before midnight. Seriously, dude come on. The manager and ther servers did the best with what they have. But no sir, not again. Shay out waitresses/ server was awesome. Then spoke Willits the manager, he wanna tell me about something that happened the night before. Sir, unfortunately, that has nothing to do with me and my experience. Have a good night.

I was out looking for nice music and came across this place. I brought a drink and found a seat. Shortly after a guy who says he s the owner tell me I have to move because I m alone. I m thinking his joking. He asked me to move next to total strangers whom asked me a lot of question as to why the guy moved me and did I know him. I never been to this place in my life and I don t know the guy was I m response. About 15 minutes later I see the guy inviting another woman to seat where he just moved me and had a waitress to bring over a hookah. Bad business 101 I m a business owner and I would ve never done such a thing. This explains who I ve live in San Antonio 5 years and never heard of this place. I wouldn t recommend either.

There was a huge line when arriving to this place randomly, but they managed it well and I wasn t outside for more than 10-15 minutes. Came on a Friday evening and they had an awesome DJ that kept the crowd lit! The owner walked around & chopped it up w the patrons, while making sure to keep everyone in compliance with the regulations for Covid-19. Very conscientious business with everything you need for a good safe nice out: hookah, drinks, vibes etc. Oh and the servers are not only gorgeous but very professional and kind (a rarity) Will definitely be back!

I had been wanting to try this place for a while as I work nearby and I honestly regret having waited so long. The owner greeted me with a smile and was very personable and friendly. He recommended the chicken shawarma and the Greek salad. I ll tell you, this is the best shawarma I ve had. It s full of flavor but doesn t feel greasy or too heavy. The pita is delicious and thin (pardon me if this isn t what most people like or expect but I loved that it didn t overpower the chicken). I ve been to a few places in the medical center and even a place in Germany, but this by far has been my favorite. The salad is fresh and tasty as well. I haven t been here in the evening, but the venue is beautiful, peaceful, and I d love to come back for dinner and tea sometime. Thank you very much!

Amore cafe is a fantastic spot for both hookah and Mediterranean food. The staff is exceptionally hard working and friendly. As a very regular customer I see the effort the owner and his team put out daily. Went here yesterday (Saturday Night) for some celebratory hookah and drinks. Repeadedly asked for well tequila since we were ballin on a budget, waitress even repeated the order back to us correctly, so it was assumed she had it down. When the check came, we found that the waitress charged us for Patron shots instead of well shots and refused to correct her mistake until a manager was involved. Waitress and manager were extremely rude about the correction. As the rotten cherry on top of this melted milkshake of an evening, the waitress decided to take it upon herself to add an 18% gratuity for her incompetent and wholly unsatisfactory service. Pretty disappointing, even for my exceptionally low standards...

Went here to celebrate my sister s birthday with a party of 6. In all honestly it was alright but the waitress had no idea what she was doing and then tried to make us pay for her mistake. We asked for Well Tequila shots but when we asked for the check to pay out, we find out we were charged $10 patron shots instead. I asked the waitress if patron was considered well (bc usually that s top shelf) and she replied with yes. we decided to dispute the issue and ended up with here admiring It was her mistake but would meet us in the middle and got the shots down to $6 shots, even though the well shots were supposed to be $4, It wasn t until I called the manager over to further dispute the charge that we realized that he was unaware that It was the waitress s fault who messed up and that we didn t ask for patron shots (as if the waitress put the blame on us). By the end of It, our vibe was ruined and we just wanted to leave so we finally got the right checks and we re ready to pay only to find out after we paid out that there was an 18% gratuity charge tacked on to the Total. Honestly i felt like we were being taken advantage of and will probably never come to this place again.

I can only comment on the to-go food Ive ordered. First time I tried the Gyro with a salad and added those phyllo wrapped cheese appetizers. Gyro was classic and tasty. The salad was simple but fresh and the cheese was yummy. Second time I tried Falafel pita and fries. The Falafel was made nicely, a little crunchy, a little soft. The fries were hot and sprinkled with seasoning salt. For me I would prefer some more seasoning salt on the other stuff. To me some of the food was maybe under seasoned if anything. I work nearby and my coworkers like it too. Not just me.

1. The truth is that I didnt try any of the food (therefore the stars I gave have nothing to do with the menu) 2. Hookah... Twice when I ordered it they were regular, I couldnt tell the difference between two flavors 3. Whats great is that they have cocktails (most hookah places dont accept alcoholic drinks). I ordered mojito, it was pretty good 4. The photos inside the Cafe do not correspond to reality (it is not bad inside, but not as they are shown on the website) 5. They have tables outside. Its a plus 6. The ventilation system works very well for this type of places and there is no bad smell on clothes or hair! 7. And very kind and friendly staff ;)

This place has a dirty smell, as the smell of rotten toilet drains emanates throughout the hall. In addition, serving a hookah in the hall is against the law in San Antonio, because the kitchen is open to the hall, and the hookah smoke causes contamination of the food. In addition, customer service is one of the worst services in San Antonio. Advice Save Your money and do not go to this place where you will lose your health before you lose your money. Went here for my friends birthday, the staff was very friendly and informative since it was our first time. Would like to go back soon good area to bar hop too since theres 2 other bars in the same parking lot.

It was ok. The ambiance isnt all that compared to the other 2 hookah bars I normally go to which are Sultans and Shisha. Those 2 places are bigger & can hold more customers that Amore Cafe can....I thought it was a little more expensive as well. But if you dont really care about all those factors it is a nice place to chill with friends. They play some decent music and have 1 TV in there.

This place is just laid back and comfortable. Last night was my first time there and I will definitely be back again. We had a great dinner, drinks and smoke from the hookah. The owners are Lebanese and have a menu of Mediterranean food. They serve alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. There is a huge menu of flavors for the hookah. Staff is very friendly and helpful... Very attentive, and they had a belly dancer! It was just a night full of fun!

Great lunch menue chill, calm, and quiet atmosphere for lunch. Service is excellent. Food is amazing good do for the chicken schuarma. A must have place with a nice siting area outside. I will return with coworkers and friends.

Our first hookah was not right (waitress tried too and said the flavor was off). The second had too much syrup. It took about a half hour to get that fixed. They have live belly dancers. Food smells good but we didnt order any.

The shwarmas are the best I have found so far, the atmosphere is nice and relaxed and the hookah is a good price. Also you can choose to smoke out of a watermelon or cantaloupe or whatever is in season I guess.
