My experience at Jinya is great eveytime, the food is great, the service is impeccable, and I was offered a free appetizer the one time my meal was slightly delayed. Today my server, Kamron, was very communicative and quick making my experience all the more enjoyable.

Card got charged 100% tip. Came here for dinner on my birthday weekend, tipped 25% on a $60 ticket, and someone still took double the amount. I had to go back in store to get it fixed and the manager had the nerve to ask if I would still like to leave my original tip no. All they did was refund the tip, not even the meal. Used to love this place but will not be going back after this.

All the servers and bartenders were great. They were attentive and had good energy. This is the only place Ive tried in San Antonio that had good takoyaki. The Jinya bun was excellent. I had the tonkotsu spicy ramen. The broth was tasty and the noodles were the perfect size, texture, and taste. There are so many things on the menu that I want to return to try.

Respectfully, this wasn t it. Pretty place and great service but if you ve had great ramen, this isn t authentic. We ordered tonkotsu ramen and it was more like gravy broth. If you like traditional tonkotsu ramen, this misses the mark. Just salty thick gravy broth with no hint of sweetness that you would normally get. The pork in the ramen was not good. Not seasoned and had an off aftertaste. I m not sure why this place has such high reviews but based on the ramen, it s a hard pass from me. I didn t even eat half of it based off the taste. The gyoza and takoyaki were pretty good though but not great. I mean no disrespect but we spent years in Japan, Korea, etc. and were hoping to find some really good ramen here based off the reviews.

Its basically Starbucks ramen, the atmosphere was harsh with music at club level, the interior design is that soulless modern decor thats so overdone in todays dining experience. Initially we meant to go too another ramen spot but got directions confused and ended up at this one. The server we had was a very nice down to earth gal, and was able to lower the volume of the music when I made a comment about it. And dont get me wrong the food was good but I feel we get larger portions for the same price at other ramen shops. Over all synopsis is just another gentrified overpriced Northside restaurant with a mediocre dining experience.

I ordered the monthly special ramen. Nice flavors, though a ton of raw onion. Hot pork, noodles, and egg. Cold kimchi and onion. Service at the bar was friendly. The place was nicely decorated but loud. There are no lunch specials. Ramans are $15+ without any add-ons. There are 8 beers on tap; 3 are Japanese, four are from San Antonio, and one Texan (non San Antonio). Im planning to come back for dinner with an adult beverage. Kid-friendliness: No child menu, portions, or prices. I wouldnt recommend it for young children.

I had high hopes for this place due to the very good reviews. Unfortunately, I was very let down. The ramen was very bland with very few ingredients. The choices intentionally push you to buy extra ingredients unless youre happy with just chashu and bean sprouts. Service was very slow, and my water wasnt refilled even after I finished the whole glass. My waiter clocked out when I asked for the check, and I had to wait for the next waitress. On the plus side the cocktail of the day was pretty good except albeit expensive. The restaurant itself is very well decorated and has a nice vibe. Too bad the good experience stops there.

We had lunch at Jinya Ramen Bar, where my husband ordered the spicy chicken ramen, and I tried the creamy spicy vegan ramen. We also shared an appetizer of octopus balls. The portion sizes were generous, and while the ramen had a noticeable kick, it wasnt particularly hot, even with added hot sauce. Unfortunately, my creamy spicy vegan ramen was overly salty, making it difficult to finish. On a positive note, the octopus balls were excellent. The service was good. Given the overall experience, I m unsure if I would return.

I was in the mood for Asian, saw this place had great reviews, and decided to give it a try. Since it was my first time to a place specializing in Ramen, I allowed my very attentive and informative server, a young man by the name of Bao, to give me some recommendations, and the Jinya Tonkatsu Black he recommended for an entree was FABULOUS. The host had also recommended the Jinya Bun as an appetizer, and at a very reasonable 5 dollars, I was very pleasantly surprised with the bun. Both the appetizer and the main dish were served soon after I ordered, and everything was reasonably priced. Definitely recommend. My only issue was that, as someone who is sensitive to undercooked food, I had to be very careful in my order requests, but I recognize this is just a part of the cuisine. Dietary restrictions: I am very susceptible to undercooked food, but the staff made sure to assuage my concerns in that regard

Absolutely amazing Ramen! I have been trying for 9 years to get my wife to try Ramen and was so glad that this was her first experience. The bar has been set high after having this place. I had a spicy miso ground pork ramen and it was pretty dang good! Although a bit expensive, but that s on me since i asked for extra ground pork I paid $20.75. Maybe a little bit more noodles would ve been even better. Thank you! Food

Vickie was a really great server and the food was amazing! We ordered the salmon poke tacos and spicy chicken ramen. The ramen was ordered at medium spice level and I tasted no spice (less spicy than hot Cheetos, for example) but good after adding hot sauce. Next time well get the highest spice level.

What stood out upon arrival was how clean and well organized the place was kept. The interior is modern and spacious. We were immediately attended by a server, who was trying to make our experience as comfortable as possible. However, the service he was trying to provide us with was a bit excessive. I guess this conflict occurred because Im more introverted and balkan (different culture when it comes to the service industry). In the beginning he explained things to us we didnt ask for. I can see why he would do this of course - servers, especially in the States, are super helpful to the point where it might be annoying sometimes. He asked me twice if I am still working on my ramen bowl, total times he visited our table was around 6 times excluding the beginning where he would give us the drinks/menus and the end when we had to pay. At one point a girl came to our table to ask how things are going, supposing thats the manager. Nevertheless, everything else was great. The food was delicious. The junya bun was sooo flavourful and the bun itself was super soft. We got spicy and mild chicken Ramen bowl with additional egg. I tried their seasoning sauce and my bowl was perfect at that point. Their broth is creamy deliciousness. I wanted to try their Panna Cotta, but I was so full. Would like to come back!

The food was delicious and prepared so well. It came out fast and was hot! I got the spicy chicken ramen which was recommended and the pork gyoza which were both the best food I have ever gotten!! Our server Ann was absolutely fantastic, she was so kind and helpful, even explained the menu for me because it was my first time there. The overall experience was very welcoming and delicious! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting amazing ramen!

This was out first experience at Jinya, after seeing many of my friends rave about it on social media . and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was beautiful and modern, our server (Denise) was attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was delicious! We had the tempura brussel sprouts, Tonkatsu Black and Spicy Tonkatsu ramens. All were soooo good! We will definitely be back! Pictured is the black tonkatsu with broccoli subbed for sprouts and added marinated eggs.

Denise was honestly the most amazing server weve ever had. everything she did timed out perfectly. she sucked on my toes while eating our meals n it just elevated the experience. she deserves a raise for also giving my lil brother cpr because she was choking on some noodles. Denise was an angel sent from god herself. we will be coming back. :)

Very clean. Quick and amazing service. Food came out within minutes. Josh server was polite and respectful the entire time. Checking on us an offering to clear the table, not just grabbing. Very sweet to fully explain the menu, and making sure everything was perfect. He really made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and VEGAN options that actually look great! Im bringing my Vegan friends here ASAP

We purchased a variety of foods to try given that it was our first time here. Our favorite were the TACOS! The taco shells are extremely crunchy and the fish was very tasty. We loved it. The ramen dishes were good but were not as flavorful as we expected. The fried chicken was very crunchy, moist, and tasty. Everyone in our party enjoyed the deep fried chicken. The customer service was great. Everyone was friendly and they always checked on us to see if we needed anything. The employees kept yelling throughout the restaurant and was unsure what was being said (maybe hot soup?). Just wanted to give customers a heads up.

So SO excellent! We popped in to Jinya while visiting San Antonio over the weekend and we absolutely loved everything. The service was excellent, kind waiters and help staff stopped by our table while we were there to chat with our two year old and just made his night, and the food amazing! I mean, talk about good food. We tried the Broccolini, Spicy Chicken Ramen, Chicken Dumpling Ramen and the children s meal. Everything was truly wonderful. Our two year old loved his little bowl of ramen and we loved ours, too. We can t wait to come back the next time we re in town.
