This was our first time at the Boiler House and from the first step inside we were greeted with such kindness and welcome. Anissa was our waitress and she was amazing! Being our first time here we asked for recommendations on the drinks, entrees and dessert; Anissa was 3 for 3 - the drinks were SO good, the steaks were delicious and the dessert was to die for if you re in the area and want an awesome atmosphere with great food and tasty drinks, come to the Broiler House!

I held my retirement dinner at the Boiler House to celebrate 23 years in the Air Force. Having been there a few times and enjoyed the food, and hearing great reviews from others who hosted events, I decided to book it for my special occasion. Dakota was nice to work with during the planning process. While there were a few issues the manager Jason Smith handled them quickly and promptly. Overall it was a good experience, my family enjoyed themselves and the food.

Came here for my daughters 18th bday dinner and she really enjoyed it. We got the fam dinner to share and everything was so good. The girls also got their mock tails and they were also very enthusiastic about them. We came here with a reservation just to avoid not having a table when we arrived, and giving it was on a weekend it wasnt that packed.

I have to say I ve been in several restaurants in San Antonio, and the food and service most of them are great But by the moment we got in to this restaurant we had one of the most delightful experiences ever. We were celebrating my husband s birthday. The whole staff was courteous, efficient and Victor made very special. We had the filet mignon and broccolini and could not be better. Victor made sure all our requests were done by the T. He was very attentive to details and like the expression ice on a cake, the dessert he brought to celebrate the birthday was unbelievable. Best white chocolate bread, pudding I ever had. We ll definitely come back and look for Victor. Thank you so much for make a day to remember!

A Pearl mainstay, the Boiler House put on a good show for our Monday morning party of five, showing up just about at the 11:00 opening bell. Attentive staff, food well worth a seemingly prolonged delay likely owing to the mechanics of starting the place up for the day. Oh, why the name? Yes, exactly, the building is where the brewerys boilers were steaming away as recently as 1999 or so. Yep, look overhead while at the restaurants front door, track that large metal chute running from the building over the walk to the iconic brick smokestack, where the words Pearl and Pride can be seen for miles and miles of Texas...

Dinner on a Saturday. Had reservations so we were sat immediately. Ordered from the special restaurant week menu. I had Bistro Steak Frites and it was absolutely delicious! In fact everything we had was wonderful. Service was awesome as well!! Only negatives were that it was hot in the restaurant, at least at the high tops where we sat. Other than that, we had a wonderful time. I highly recommend!

We had an absolutely amazing experience at the Boiler House at the Pearl! The food was great. But what truly made our visit stand out was the outstanding service we received from our server, Nicholas V. It s something that should be mentioned before anything when it happens-Especially because it only happens two weeks out of the year and even more so, because it s something foodies like me really REALLY enjoy! moreover Nick the bartender was absolutely amazing and his customer service was exceptional!

I expected a fine dinning experience for the prices. The atmosphere and wait staff was excellent. But the food was unfortunately not. First, I ordered a red sangria, when it came, it was in a wine glass full of ice to the top and the color was light pink like water. Red sangria as anyone knows should be full body dark burgundy. It tasted like watered down wine. The waiter did come back and ask how it was and I said it was watered down, so he explained that they add seltzer water... (why would you do that???) Anyway... he decided to bring us another without seltzer, which was nice but it was still full to the top with ice so I literally got three sips before it was empty because it was all ice. The other concern was the food is premade.. which to me is fast food, not fine dinning. The mashed potatoes come with bacon and cheese and I asked for no bacon. He said we cannot modify because its pre-made and just warmed up. Why am I paying $14 for warmed up pre-made mashed potatoes which is a side you have to pay for separately. The $58 steak does not include a side. Just disappointed. While the server and atmosphere is nice.. their food isnt worth it.

She was very professional and she made our night. Kat was our server and she was very efficient and very nice. We had excellent service with her. The Pollo Asada Norteno and the Pan Seared Scallops for main course and both were phenomenal. The combination of flavors on each entre were unique and delicious. I had the Stuffed Quail Poppers and they were fantastic! I highly recommend that you visit Sherese and Kat for a pallet pleasing and unique dining experience.

The Boiler House has a great look and vibe to it. We were seated promptly, and our server quickly took our orders. I ordered the roasted pork shank. I also ordered a side of the broccolini. The pork is served over a bed of polenta and topped with a generous portion of sauce. Overall, the pork was extremely tender. However, the pork lacked seasoning. Its like the sauce, which was kind of sweet, was supposed to serve as the only source of flavor. Also, the polenta needed salt. The broccolini was good.

Bit of a let down considering the rest of the reviews. Took my Dad here for fathers Day Dinner. Service wise, it was fine, the server thanked us for our patience when he brought water out, but there was a significant wait for food, about an hour. Food wise, was a let down for the most part. The Pork Chop was good with a hefty portion, but my $30 Half Chicken was closer to the size of a quail. I subbed out my side for some of the truffle fries, which were good, but they charged me $2 for the sub, and it was a very small portion of fries. Overall, the food is way way way overpriced, but tastes alright.

Food is excellent. However please please look into management. Ive been hearing a lot of stories of employees who feel mistreated and stressed out by lack of poor leadership or being told to do things that are simply out of their control. Employees have spoken to me about feeling they work for a dictatorship. Sickness isnt excused. They are required to still come to work. Therefore compromising customers health and putting them at risk. I was told a manager has cussed several times at the people they are supposed to take care of. Sounds like complete chaos and lack of employee ethic. It is extremely hot as well. Customers are paying lots of money for events and then being lied to that it s an old building . No, they just don t want to spend money into making the establishment better. Bar manager governs restaurant by her emotions and employees feel constantly stressed due to her poor leadership. It concerns me when a great quality restaurant is treating their employees like dirt and their food like gold.

BOILER HOUSE is just one more Boiler House is not a bad spot in the least, neither for food nor drinks. It just feels like they are trying to sell themselves as something superior to what they actually are. The place is gorgeously set and feels quite ad hoc to the surrounding industrial compound, which is not casualty, the whole Pearl complex shares such architectural trend and feeling. With this, what I m trying to say is that Boiler House is just one more option in the neighborhood. Service was friendly, polite, and easygoing. I though it pretentious first but turned out to be the contrary. The waiter was chatty for good, explanatory about the menu, and expedite. The food ranged on the good tier, far from memorable but still tasty. The Texan burger was plenty and well prepared, the house salad somehow dispirited but fresh and crisp, and the chocolate torte plain good. The shrimp ceviche, which we were told they were out of but later on appeared on our table, was extremely disappointing; tasteless, with almost no shrimp, and with more tortilla chips than ceviche. Regarding beers, though probably not Boiler House s forte, the list was short, with the one I chose unavailable at the moment. Overall, Boiler House constituted an unmemorable experience. I wouldn t recommend it and I m not quite sure I d give it a second chance, especially with other nearby restaurants to explore, which by the way, looked more packed and livelier than Boiler House. Wheelchair accessibility: 100% doable on wheelchair but still, ask for a wheelchair friendly seating...

Made a reservation two in advance knowing a Saturday evening prior to Valentine s Day would probably be pretty busy. The reservation options were specific about seating; asked inside/outside, high top/ low top; asked which part of the dining room etc. I looked at pictures, I researched a little and decided for my dining party inside, low top, in the main area would be best. Upon arrival we were told it would be possibly an hour or more to get seated. WHY?! That s why I specifically made a reservation; then they offered us outside in the 50 degree weather and said this would be our only option for our reservation time. SUPER frustrating; food was mid, brought wrong drinks. Meatballs were pretty good, I d say get that and Mac n cheese, Brussels were too sweet, didn t love the bread. Salads were salads, no complaints or raves. Overall wouldn t recommend or return based on this experience.

auggie was our server and he provided the best service i ve had in months. he was charming, waters were never empty, and he kept the drinks coming. the chef justin stopped by with an appetizer from the culinaria week menu, it was a salmon tartare with peanuts and a spicy chili oil with fresh sprouts and pears on top and it was insanely good. justin was friendly and didn t mind sparing time to talk about the food with us. even though the sherry salmon and lone star steak were amazing, auggie was the best thing about this meal. the restaurant was cozy and food came out with a great pace. thank you for the amazing meal!

The dish was exceptional, full of flavour and beyond my expectations. To top it off, Aaron personally came out to ensure I enjoyed it. What a memorable evening! We will be back

Ordered the Bison Meatballs, they were delicious, but found a hair embedded into one of the meatballs. Management were quick to act and waived that appetizer. Ordered the Big Texan Patriot Burger w/ Truffle Fries and found another piece of hair within the potatoes itself. Jeremy was quick to also recognize this and rectify the issue. Overall, the food (Pork Shank & Rainbow Trout) and drinks were amazing, and although unfortunate, I m satisfied with how they handled this issue.

We tried visiting on Friday and it was a very negative experience. We had a party of 10 and it was about 4pm. We were told they could not seat us together. The host could not guarantee seating together. So we agreed to being split 5 and 5. Then the host proceeded to tell us 5 may be inside and the other 5 outside. I kid you not, there was not 1 customer outside and there was no one sitting inside. We are not sure if we were just treated this way because we werent wearing suits. We had family from out of town and we had a great experience a few years ago. Needless to say both ladies at the front made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome that we decided to go somewhere else. We may probably never visit again. Service

We needed a restaurant with a gluten free menu. Boiler House had high reviews on Find me Gluten Free and LOTS of GF options on their menu. Once we arrived and saw the Thanksgiving menu, the only GF entree listed was a burger. When we asked about other possibilities the chef came out and offered a Turkey dish with mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. He even offered to make a gluten free gravy just for us! Best thanksgiving dinner I ve ever had. Parking: Had 3 parking lots nearby, but we had trouble finding it with Apple Maps. Best to program Emma hotel as destination. Park then a short walk down an alley to Boiler House.

Bison albondigas? More like bison al-bomb-digas because those meatballs were the explosive taste-blast of deliciousness that my taste buds weren t prepared for! The sauce? A symphony of richness that had my tongue doing the cha-cha. And the portion? Generous enough to satiate a hungry hippo (aka me). And let s talk about those olives. Simple, yes. But each one packed a punch of kalamata magic that rocked my world. My wife, on the other hand, found her cheese soulmate in the goat cheese - she s planning the wedding as we speak. Last but not least, the salads swanned in with a house vinaigrette so authentic, it was like grandma herself was in the kitchen, sprinkling love and childhood memories on those greens. So, if youre hungry for a meal that s like a hug for your taste buds, this is your spot!

Never have I had my time wasted and not compensated in any way. Had reservation. Getting service or your food in anything close to a timely matter would have been nice. I understand you guys had a big table but you guys let it effect the small diners and made them suffer. Had about 7 empty tables in our section. We were 2 people. 2! Will not ever go back to this place to waste my time or money. Much better restaurants in the area worth trying. Wish I could get back last nights waste of time. The Pork Belly only seems to be broiled little pieces no much seasonings or flavor to the belly they are relying on the bourbon sauce and sides with it to make it flavourful it seems. Pork shank was okay... but for a pork shank , burger and some pork belly.... way over 2 hours time... personally will be avoiding this place for others that are worth the time like Southerleighs

The food was great, tasted amazing But the service was the opposite we went with our friends and their baby and our baby. let me just say babies are gonna be babies but they weren t causing up a storm. our waiter Jeremy H. was okay at first, but took 30min for our drinks another 2 hours for our food which i know isn t his fault but we noticed we were getting treated differently idk if it was because we werent dressed like we were at the grammys or what ( we were dressed accordingly prettty nice but not fancy fancy!) he would make convo with other people around us, would reassure other customers their food will be there shortly but wouldn t even bother checking up on us. no refills nothing. we had to remind him to get us a lemonade and lowkey had a attitude. we ate our foods PARCHED. just came to pick up our food and sounded like he just wanted us out. i was expecting to tip a lot bc if i m going to a nice place i want a nice experience. but it wasn t like that. Somebody else came up to us and basically sounded like our kids were gonna bother the table behind us that had a reservation. Overall just made us feel unwelcomed bc we had babies and weren t dressed like we were the kardashians.
