After a subpar experience last time I came to this establishment, I was lucky enough to be served by Esteban Santin. He turned a sour taste in my mouth regarding coming here to an excitement. Esteban was very personable and took good care of us. The food and drinks not only came fast but was excellent. Esteban took excellent care of us and talked when he had time. All and all, I was worried about coming back but thanks to our fantastic waiter, Esteban, I m exited to return and with a new hope to enjoy great food and well made drinks. I m so glad it was just a fluke experience. Thank you Mr. Santin.

Went here for Friday night karaoke on my bachelorette trip! The karaoke hosts were HILARIOUS and amazing singers!! We didn t pay extra or have special reservations, but those ladies still went out of their way to make me and my group feel special the whole night. It was above and beyond anything I would ve expected! Go on a Friday night and bring cash because you will *definitely* want to tip them. Well worth the trip!!

9/8/2024 We have stopped here a few times before while in San Antinio. But this is the first time with our new puppy. We expected to sit our side, which it was beautiful evening. Our server was Esteban S. Amazing service, recommendation and patient. We split the Fish and Chips which for use was good portion, Esteban S had go back and forth for the beer situation, which for some it would frustrate due to the fact he had to go up and downstairs. Not him still had a smile and gave tentative service! So impressed we came back the next day. 9/9/2024 The second time it was around lunch time just for drinks, We did sit inside with our puppy in a stroller, it was really warm outside. Wimpy baby puppy. Our bartender was Ashley she gave great service and again smiles and personable! After we left, we decided to have dinner here. Ashley was getting close to leaving but had stock to finish. Our bartender was Crystal, again she did not disappoint! I ordered the Cobb salad, Husband ordered Classic B.L.T. The Cobb salad was delicious, chicken tender, dressing amazing the salad itself was filling. Husband really enjoyed the Classic B.L.T, bacon was cooked to satisfaction which is a hit and miss. We both had a great last evening, and yes we could have tried other places, but why be disappointed. Thank you, Esteban S, Ashley and Crystal.

Went on a Monday for lunch. Not crowded. attentive service, British pub but the waitstaff is in Kilts . It is San Antonio. But the burger was good and the fries were actually really good. I enjoyed it. Wheelchair accessibility: The whole riverwalk in this section is relatively unfriendly for wheelchairs. This spot has seating right on the riverwalk, otherwise its stairs.

The spot is pretty cute! My wife & I came here after a long drive in on a friday night. We were seated immediately at a table near the bar. The food turn around was quick, and the drinks came out quick as well. Our server, Ashley, was phenomenal. She checked on us consistently & was happy to help us with anything we needed! i got the texas chili mac burger and my wife got the fish and chips. Both were of decent quality (typical pub food). Friday was karaoke night, which was a blast. There was also a man who came by with a camera who took our picture and brought back a complimentary copy.

Hmmmmm. Don t agree with other reviewers on this location. Ordered two side salads and cauliflower starter. Had asked for blue cheese on the side, asked for starter cauliflower wing sauce on the side and server indicated all the sauces were served on the side. After a rather long wait for two salads and cauliflower, the cauliflower came with wing sauce ON the cauliflower and 2nd side salad dressing ON the salad. Had to ask second time for gin and tonic and evident it had been sitting (ice quite melted. I know it s hot in SA but no way it had recently been made.) As a final bummer, the people seated two tables down from us lit up cigarettes as soon as they sat down. Not a great use of $60

I have to say, the food here was outstanding. I got the Westminster Patty and everything was perfect. The corned beef was perfectly tender and flavorful, the patties were cooked perfectly and the marble rye and sauerkraut rounded everything out perfectly. They have pub style fries, and the Scotch eggs were the perfect appetizer to this meal. Overall this place is a must try on the Riverwalk. Honestly I can t really think of any place serving better food here then Mad Dogs.

I love this place - it never disappoints. I usually get their burgers, but tonight I felt like a chicken Caesar salad, which was delicious! My husband and I sang karaoke and won $5 and $3 drinks for everyone, which made us very popular! I actually found a Mad Dog kilt at a Goodwill and had to wear it here! So I went the other night with my friend and at that point it was standing room only which we were totally fine with. We sat at the bar at the upper level and had about 3 drinks. The service was great on the upper bar. As soon as we went to the bar on the floor level the bartender (a larger man with curly hair and a beard) told us to Get the hell away from his bar because I told him very politely I wasn t ready for another drink. We were 2 girls alone and didn t want to get wasted so we get shamed for not wanting another drink? We immediately left after that. I popped by here to have dinner with some friends. During our meal, a bartender informed our group that one of our friends was heavily intoxicated and was about to buy shots for herself and us. I explicitly told the bartender that we didn t want them and to ensure they weren t made. Despite this, knowing she was drunk and stumbling, the bartender went ahead and made the shots, sending them to our table. I then went to the bar to ask why they made them and if our friend was charged. The bartender, a large man, responded that he made them because she asked and would water down the next set. Seriously? I m certain there are rules about serving heavily intoxicated people more drinks. While the food was decent, I can t overlook this irresponsible behavior. I definitely wouldn t recommend this place, especially to fellow local military folks. Don t go here. Trust me.

Fantastic Service. Perfect parts Friendly and Professional. Good pub atmosphere nothing like the brittish pubs I went to while in England but fantastic nonetheless. I had the ship tacos which where good and would have been Perfect if not for the burnt flavor of the tortilla. It was just on 2 of them and only slightly done. Visited from Australia, on a Saturday night. Overall atmosphere was somewhat uninviting from the staff to the patronage, our waitress seemed like she did not want to be there. Went to the bar to order a drink and was told I could only order and drink at my table, this is definitely not something Im used to in Australia and I assume it has something to do with the tipping system? not sure but the overall atmosphere put my friends and I off and we ended up going elsewhere for the night. My impression of the dining establishments along the River Walk in San Antonio were sadly just as I expected, very disappointing. Being a tourist-oriented destination, these restaurants tend to focus only on location and ambience over culinary quality. We were a party of four and two of our entrees came out overcooked. When I say overcooked, I mean horribly burned. I can t understand how they made it out of the kitchen to our table. Blatant disregard for customer service by both the kitchen staff and the waitstaff by bringing this food to the table. If you re visiting San Antonio, don t make the same mistake that we did. Go experience the River Walk and enjoy the beautiful stroll along the canal, but do yourself a favor and either eat before you arrive or after you leave. We were in town for five days and we enjoyed so many unique and culturally diverse dining experiences located in other parts of the city. Any attempt at dining along the River Walk will undoubtedly lead to disappointment as they all seem to operate under the same business model.

It was okay. Went to bar hop. But then a server cleared our table who wasnt finished drinking her shot. (My friend) She had a half of shot left in a shot glass while she was in the restroom. We explained this to both the female server and the manager and they both made a big deal over a half a shot they refused to compensate us over. How lame. I knew it was a misunderstanding but they refused to even be nice about it. My friend then lit a cig outside the bar and the manager followed us outside and told us to completely leave the front outside. Never again.

Great spot to feel the British pub vibes. White soaking in live music from the neighbouring bar, the riverwalk experience is just within your sight. The service was quick and welcoming even we arrived 5 minutes for the kitchen to close. Kudos to lady who attended to us and kept great conversation.

Let me start by saying I am an Englishman. So going to a British pub should be good right...wrong the food was terrible. Steak and ale pie had 1 yes one piece of cheap steak.but a whole lot of potato. (Not sure where they got the recipe but thats not the steak pie I grew up on. Factory made pukka pies are better quality. The baked beans were cold and seemed they had been refried or something definitely not English quality. Cottage pie was fine but nothing to write home about. Expensive mush.

I stopped by at 3:00pm on a Monday. It was Horacious Hott, but the staff and temp sitting inside was marvelous. All staff members, but especially my server, CHRIS were friendly and truly hospitable!! I had their Monday Special margarita on the rocks , and the scrumptious Cobb salad with ranch that I could not stop eating even though I was so full! This definitely is a great for lunch spot any day of the week!!!

I went here because the reviews were pretty good yet I have no idea why. There is no service. You have to sort of aimlessly find your own table because nobody greets you or tells you what to do. The food is atrocious, as a British person visiting it s just offensive, soggy bread, cold food. The staff would rather chat and watch the sports than serve you and If you want a second drink it s easier to head to the bar and ask for it yourself.

Wanted to stop for a quick bite Food presentation was nice but when I say it was the worst we have tried on the river walk. I was really looking forward to their world famous fish and chips, would rather have the chips alone, it had zero flavor, very bland, had to drown it in vinegar and still couldn t improve the quality. Atmosphere was great and service was great, but as far as food goes there needs to be some more love to it. Go for drinks and atmosphere not food. No where near like my time in Bristol
