1 star is too much! I was on the phone for over 2 hours! No answer at all. Automated system kept saying I was # 5 and it would take 5 minutes for someone to answer the queue! I don t know why they hand out pamphlets giving you false hope that you can be helped when they know your chances of not getting help or greater than actually getting the help What a disappointment for the ones who really do need it

Literally should just close shop! They never pick up the phone and are very nonchalant, when they do respond. I was given a guy who doesnt have any real interest of actually assisting people, and just collects a check! His name is Michael Shippey, so please beware if hes handling your case, and dont expect much. Hes never actually doing attorney work, mainly ducking your emails/calls, or on vacation! As a veteran, it saddens me to have such organizations posing as customer service based programs. Youre better off paying a real attorney or handling it yourself! It took 2 fulls months for a response after signing Release of Information, and Client Agreement documentation. This guy is a huge I think so/maybe Ill do it type, and most likely just stacks paperwork! Ive been advised by an actual attorney to handle this civil case myself, seeing its been unresolved after 3 full months. I simply dont want another proactive veteran to endure this drawn out process, or waste their time!

Im VA rated 100% T&P. SAPD has documented two assaults against me by a crazy neighbor . Several agencies referred me to TxRioGrangeLegalAid for help getting a restraining order. These bureaucrats refused to help. All I asked for was a referral to an effective lawyer whom I will pay myself. Like all these phony do-gooders their only interest was in disqualifying me and explaining why they dont have to help. They dont help Veterans. They said they only help with Domestic Violence. Apparently because Im not related to my attacker Im insignificant.

Provides assistance to low income individuals if they have the time. They stay very booked up but did help me with great information on doing my Divorce on my own. Didnt cost a penny and Id use them again if ever needed.

I am going through a divorce and am not able to pay for an attorney especially considering having to find a ace to stay and having to get everything I need for day to day life once again. Family law is only by phone Tuesdays and Thursdays. Issue is I would call, be out on hold, and then would be automatically disconnected with a message after thirty minutes. So there was no way to stay in que. Even though I was willing to stay on hold all day if necessary. I spent a minimum of two and up to four hours on 6 consecutive Tuesdays and Thursdays. And never spoke to anyone. There is no way to apply online or in person. I cant see how this service could be providing help to that many people. Has only been a waste of time I could have used more productively

I got info on Tuesday from marissa i think her name was i explained the situation with msister and she gave me the imfo that gave me hope and she also explained that thereofmimgare three menus and that it was possible I would get hung up on then the hope got better she said that when that happens not to get discouraged just keep calling and someone will answer i said ok!!this morning i said to my sister to call at 9am she did and they amswered mot even 5mins and she got everything done!!took 8 hrs to do everything now the wait too get her grandkids back i myself never felt so happy i dont know what or why you all got people like that but my experience with them is professional curtious and caring I thank you Juan Hernandez and the person that gave me hope her name i think Marissa i owe you part of my heart and lunch!!!!

Well I initially was put in touch with TRLA when I was facing eviction and they were on it and provided the necessary resource information that helped dismiss my case. Now I reached out again as unemployment is trying to charge me for overpayment based on false information stating I quit my job without good cause, trying to explain Im a 1099 self employer the it is a surreal nightmare. Nicole the attorney reached out and I am currently working with them. I am hopeful and praying for a positive outcome, but TWC will not budge and will not accept the fact that I never quit because simply Im not directly employed by Uber, everything going forward is based on false information generated by TWC. SECOND APPEALS needed! I would so far, disagree with the previous negative reviews as my experience has been rather positive, thus far. Nicole Im calling asap...For resources regarding second appeals, theres not much time have until 7.5 to file

I was referred to speak with Daisy Ramirez at this awful place by the Metro Health. Daisy Ramirez argues with me for 5 minutes straight during information intake. I explained to her multiple times I can give her my info but did not want to get into the in depth details of my assault since she was just asking for my basic info to give to the attorney anyhow. She kept arguing with me as I requested to give her my information. I asked her multiple times to stop wasting both of our time and if I can give her my information without having to go into the very deep, private details given the sensitive nature of the matter. She continued to be unprofessional, disrespectful and didnt care that I was reporting her and refused to allow me to communicate with her supervisor and refused to take my information as she is the one calling me. This is a horrible experience and a terrible paralegal to be working for this organization. Would not recommend and suggest seeking assistance elsewhere especially if youve been a victim of crime or need any housing assistance.

Zero stars. I was mislead by Lisa Castillo a paralegal with this highly recommend organization for over a month. Three days before my court hearing I received a call from Kiah Bolt someone I had never even hear of to inform me that I will not be represented and gave me notes on how to represent myself in a 45 minute phone conversation. Im not sure who is funding TRLA BUT its obviously a trap. The only good thing about TRLA is they will answer the phone. But other than that you will be approved and later denied

I drove there thinking there was going to be a room full of people there keeping them tied up from making phone calls but the office was empty. I get its free but dont need to sound like you didnt have coffee or your panties are in a bunch. Free shouldnt have poor customer service.

Attorney withdrew from my case after collecting a year of my case information. Leaving me to do it all on my own knowing other party had an attorney. I will win this on my own with GODS HELP, and wont be using this place ever again! They really let me down. Court is just right around the corner too! I wouldnt recommend to anybody.
