So far so good! In a way I feel like I had ptsd coming into this custody case for my children. I was scared at every turn and worried about every detail. Carolina Cano has been such a tremendous help. She answered every email and text and so did Mr Ruiz when he felt the need to step in. This has been a rough case on my children, and I seem to have a new question every day, and they both have been able to guide me and tell me exactly what to do and not to do. And they explain the whys too! And thats so important to me.

Unfortunately, my experience with George Ruiz was extremely disappointing. I retained Georges services for just under a year during my divorce. In that time, I spoke to him once and never had the chance to meet him in person. A week before my mediation, I called to set up a meeting to discuss the details. I was told that no meeting was necessary because everything could be addressed in break-out rooms during mediation. This left me feeling extremely anxious and unprepared. Thankfully, I sought new counsel just before the mediation. My new attorney quickly informed me that critical steps had been overlooked, including incomplete Discovery, no motions filed, and no hearings set for additional temporary orders. Opposing counsel even informed the mediator that important pleadings hadnt been filed. On a positive note, the paralegal, Diane is great to work with thanks for being so nice, Diane! :)

When I started reaching out to attorneys for consultations on my child custody case, after having spoken to at least half a dozen others and spent countless hours of researching options online, Mr. Ruiz immediately stood out to me due to not only his sound legal advice, but his concern and conviction regarding my situation. I hired Ruiz and Associates in February 2024 to represent me for Final Orders in a Custody Case that had a history of 8 years (my daughter is now 10). My previous attorney was excellent and won custody on temp orders for me in 2019 but only after I was able to get possession of my child due to successfully getting my ex wife charged with a felony interference of child custody charge after my girl had been taken by her mother for 18 months and I had no contact. However, he passed away shortly thereafter and I was working off these temp orders for 5 years and then as a pro se litigant. This time around I decided to hire professionals for what I hoped would be the end of the line and to represent me at final trial. Professional is an understatement! I provided as much information and resources as I could to do my part to prepare them and they took care of the rest. Their terms for taking my case were clear, their fees more than reasonable, communication consistent, and with the help of a mediator were able to get a deal done before heading to a costly trial. While I have yet to receive final orders entered with the District Clerk and we aren t quite done yet, I am beyond happy with the outcome and now my daughter and I can literally get on with our lives. I would be honored to recommend this firm and attorney Brandi Aguillon without hesitation to anyone in need of representation in a family law case. CONTEMPT HEARING FOR GEORGE RUIZ TO BE SCHEDULED I personally witnessed the shockingly unprofessional behavior of Mr. George Ruiz in Bexar County Court 13 spread out over two days before Judge Rosie Gonzalez. Mr. Ruiz was either unfamiliar with, or unwilling to follow, the rules of the court. (Neither of these is good.) He then misrepresented the Court s efforts to accommodate his schedule. AND THEN, when the judge pointed out his misrepresentations, he responded with, I don t like being treated like dirt, though. Mr. Ruiz then proceeded to treat the Court like dirt. The following day, he appeared LATE. (His client didn t appear at all and earned herself a failure to appear warrant. ) AND THEN, when Mr. Ruiz had not only NOT been excused from the court, but he had in fact been ORDERED to remain, he left the court anyway. Not smart. The animus and disdain exhibited by Mr. Ruiz toward the Court was palpable. It was so appalling that Mr. Ruiz earned himself a contempt hearing. Based on the behavior I saw, a holding of contempt appears all but certain. Now, take all that in conjunction with how Mr. Ruiz responds to poor reviews on this site, and the reasons for his bad behavior become clear. Mr. Ruiz is in my opinion arrogant, prideful, thin-skinned, hypersensitive to perceived criticism, demonstrates poor self-regulation, and exhibits actual contempt for court proceedings, and for the Court itself. So, one simply must ask, Is THAT the kind of attorney you want to represent YOU? We will await the findings of the contempt hearing.

I am very pleased and totally satisfied with Ruiz and Associates, PLLC, in representing me in my divorce case. From the initial interviews, discovery phase, many meditations, and final court hearing, George C. Ruiz (Attorney at Law), Brandi N. Aguillon (Attorney at Law) and Heather Ramirez (Paralegal) were very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable, and they always treated me with dignity and respect. One star is too much. I hired Mr. Ruiz to help defend me in what I thought was a child support Re-evaluation. My ex knew I was moving overseas and wanted more money from me. I had a contract job, which was a temporary job and took on a government permanent job, which I always wanted but was only making $24000/year for first year which was the probationary period. After one year I moved up a grade and worked full time at $50,000/year. Out of kindness of my heart I agreed to pay child support based on $50,000 even though I was only making $24k. The judge said no and increased my child support from base of $70k to $76k. MR.. Ruiz did and said nothing not one word. I sent him evidence my ex bought two homes in very affluent neighborhoods. One in Stone Oak and one brand new home in Bulverde built to her specifications that cost over $500k. Ruiz never said anything. In fact Mr. Ruiz never returned my phone calls. Before I left the United States I called his office at least 4 times in an 8 hour span, he never called me back. He had discussions with opposing counsel and never told me about it until the court date. He never had a plan. He never took time to call me to discuss a plan. He just took my money. Charged me for filing paperwork and his meetings with opposing counsel. This guy is the worst attorney in San Antonio for family practice. Lastly, after the judge ruled he quit. He said I was the problem. If trying to communicate with your attorney who never calls you back is a problem??? Don t get this guy!

READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! I was like you, looking for a decent attorney to help in a case...then I came across George Ruiz. I thought it odd at first that he had over 230 reviews (most positive) and just about every other attorney had between 20 and 70 but I thought nothing of it at the time. This was the absolute worst experience with an attorney I or my wife have ever had. Extremely unprofessional, the girls in his office seem to get cycled out every other month and they charge you for everything. Now you would expect to pay for most things but it gets ridiculous quick. Want to call the office only to have the lady answer and say I dont know or George isnt in? Youll get charged for that. Every text message, email and anything else you can thing of, cha-ching! Our case took well over a year and we constantly had to keep the retainer fee filled for him to withdraw from, it seemed like a bottomless pit. He didnt even feel like he was on our side nor did he care about our situation or case and only cared about getting paid. Beyond that he rarely ever communicates with you, then when the court date comes he constantly has to prepare for court and charges you a couple thousand dollars even when he already prepared and the court date just gets pushed out a week. If you have any issues or complaints you just get threatening texts. Do yourself a favor and STAY FAR AWAY from this law office. Looking back, there is no way he could have that many positive reviews unless you pay a service to flood you with reviews. If so, thats a sneaky trick, but I have come to expect nothing less from this place.

One of the worst unprofessional law firms that I ve experienced. I don t know if everybody in there is the same way. But the lawyer that they assigned to my case, basically threaten me and basically put fear into sign some documents that I refuse to sign. She ruined my case out of my own business. Be careful don t trust this law firm if they try to make you sign any papers, do not sign it, under any kind of circumstances, even if they threaten you in any kind of way. She basically told me that if I didn t sign the papers I was gonna lose 50% custody of my son and also in that court building all the Judge are woman except for one judge. she basically told me that I was gonna lose my temporary case. Then I try to talk to Goerge and he basically just hung the phone up. We don t need this kind of business in our city of and I still have to pay in three basically ruining my life.

I dont have the words to thank Ruiz & Associates enough... These folks just notified me how my court order has been signed by a Judge and is now final. It has been a four year battle with getting my sons mom and grandmother to comply with a prior order and was going nowhere with my previous attorney. It was a trying week and a battle with my narcissist ex husband . He tried tried to get the the loving and care order imposed by the courts. All I can say is that God had me cross paths with amazing attorneys at the Ruiz & Associates, PLLC! Recommended by attorney Christopher Meyer. They ensured the NB best interests of my child and the safety and and mental welfare of the child and the other siblings !!! My children had suffered severe neglect and abuse under the narcissist while I was overseas in 2013 ! Dads arent 2nd class citizens! Mr. Ruiz did a great job representing me in my custody case for my son and I was awarded primary custody!! I met with Mr. Ruiz after meeting w/ two other lawyers, 1st one said she wouldnt take my case because she would charge me 7K and 2nd one didnt see the urgency. After going over all the facts about myself and my sons mother, Mr. Ruiz was more than confident we had a really good case. My ex decided to give me custody (after being served) but then wanted to keep all the benefits she gets from the state by staying as primary, when I said no she decided she was gonna fight and said I would lose because shes the MOM. When it came down to the court date, she had no legs to stand on, all she did was attack me personally, lie, and bring up the past from before her and even my son. I stayed quite and let Mr. Ruiz do his job and Ill tell you this; HE DID NOT DISAPPOINT. He knew what questions to ask, how to shut her down when she told pointless stories, caught her in lies, and got her to admit her verbal abuse and conditions of her home life. Where do I begin?!! Sit down this is going to take a minute. I was a young mother that did not make the best choices for myself nor my child. In result I let my sons dad have custody of our son. I was 20 and his father had just gotten back from his second tour in Iraq. Fast forward 13 years later. This custody agreement still active. My ex is moving to Kansas and forcing my son to leave with him. Our son is now 15 and his father is still in the military and a decorated veteran at that. Still I can t help but feel like that intimidated 20 year old little girl. Worst experience ever!! I am a professional and was referred to Mr george though a friend of mine for my divorce case. Since i hired him, It has been nothing more then a nightmare. No timely communications, no updates, no efforts, no reply, every-time i called, was told that he is busy . His paralegal candy was dealing with the whole case by herself and she herself didn t have a lot of information. I was promised to get the true representation and able to close within few months. Initially was told to send all discovery paper to them within a week which i did. But they failed to collect any discovery from other party until months later and didn t even care to file for compelling orders. He decided to go for mediation without any documents or discovery papers from other party. Even the mediator who was a retired judge mentioned that this mediation is not appropriate and postponed it for a month later with the intend of other party to provide all documents discovery papers. Mr George did nothing in the mediation as it only lasted for 2-3 hours but he charged for full day of mediation along with the mediator fee. For the next whole month, he did not care to compel the other party for submitting any papers and just 3 days before next mediation he asked me for more papers. At that time i had to fire him. He didn t even care to make any efforts or communicate and update. Failed to even reply to any of my texts over many days. He didn t even submit my discovery papers to other party which resulted in them to file a case against me and i end up paying penalty. So my advise, if you want someone to really represent you during this tough phase in your life then never ever hire This attorney. He cares more about making money then representing your best interest.

I previously had an attorney from another law firm who handled my initial divorce case but in light of COVID, they would not return my calls when I needed to modify my prior arrangements. Through my research and reading other users Google reviews, I turned my interest to this law firm. I moved to NC in 2016 so I prayed the distance would not deter the success of my requests. Unfortunately halfway through my litigation, I had a lawyer change due to an unforeseen circumstance but my case landed upon Beauregard Beau Fiegels desk. Not only was the office as a whole very responsive and caring about relaying prompt feedback from my case, Beau went above and beyond to expedite the closing out of my case. I am very pleased with the outcome of the case, the straightforward answers I received and constant feedback, as well as, the professionalism of all involved. Going into my divorce I had no idea what to expect. And I was really nervous about some things my ex was saying about me. Mr. Fiegel knows his stuff and was very supportive. He got behind me 100% and helped me to know what I could ask for. He and his paralegal, Tony, were always able to answer my questions and offered comforting words when I felt unsure. They were also very persistent when my ex was not cooperating. On more than one occasion when there was a reset to our court date, Mr. Fiegel made sure not to leave without getting me some kind of improvement to my situation (like more visits with my kids). The attorneys there also know the competition well and always had some insights on what to expect from the opposing counsel. At the end of 2019 I had an incident, where my son was kept from me by his mother. I needed legal advises for action, so I looked for attorneys online and Mr George Ruiz was the first option. Was getting a free consultation and he didn t give me any information that I didn t already read online. Then he hung up on me! Not professional at all, don t waste your time. In regards to his reply, in no way shape or form is hanging up on someone professional . The law is the law, however when a potential client is asking for advice on the next step I believed that they would give the information instead of quoting everything that is already posted online.

The best lawyer I ve had! All the other attorneys I ve hired were absolutely horrible and scared to go up against the opposing team but George Ruiz, Beau Fiegel! and Tony Suarez! were ridiculously smart and knew what to do and how to fight.
