I had a phone consultation with James and he wanted to go right into planning a Trust for me and my wife. I said I probably just wanted wills. He said if one of us died the other would have to go into probate and spend a lot of money. I said I didnt think that was true. He probably knows you can file a Transfer on Death Deed (TODD) with the court and avoid probate. But he just abruptly told me I could just get another lawyer and hung up on me. That was extremely rude and I definitely would not consider using his firm. I saw the response to this review and was not impressed. It doesnt sound like you are willing to work with anyone who wants a will vs a trust. The will can minimize court involvement with an executor who is appointed as an independent executor. You didnt counsel me. You just wanted to railroad me into a trust. You didnt offer any pros and cons except a trust avoiding probate. A trust is more complex, time consuming and expensive and more profitable for an attorney which I suspect is why you mainly only do trusts. I didnt see any reviews where you did a will. Again, you were very rude to hang up on me, but is there any apology for that? No, afraid not.

To keep a long story short, James Voeller and his team helped us create an Estate Plan. James was direct and complete at our initial consultation asking many questions and taking notes. From there, he assembled a comprehensive estate planning portfolio with all the necessary legal documents easily organized in one book. Called this law firm to try to enroll as a new client given that I am about to be the beneficiary of a trust formed for me by my father. I cant say enough about the professionalism of this firm. My father is 92 years old and wanted to make some changes to his existing will. Well, we came to the right spot. We found the Voeller Law Firm through a referral from an attorney who did not specialize in trusts and estate planning. We needed help with trusts when my mother moved here from Arizona and she had a complex group of trusts that were hard to understand. We were immediately impressed with Jims empathy and his ability to communicate not only with my mother (80-plus years old) but with me and my older brother as well. Jim offered several alternatives and my mother selected the options she desired. Based on this, Jim proposed a clear and fair fee structure that seemed completely reasonable to us. Everything was transparent, and the entire process went smoothly. Recently, my mother died and my brother and I were left tending to the details.
