I contact this law firm Joel to be exact, because he was working with my father before he died trying to locate property in Medina County. Joel charged me for the same work he did for my father. He made it seem as if the research was new. He is very unethical and a scam artist. Stay away from this crooked lawyer.

Ive seen incorrect information come from this firm... if I dont feel like my lawyers know what theyre doing I wont trust them to handle my case. Option 1) theyre ignorant. Option 2) theyre dishonest. Neither one is acceptable.

I ve emailed and called to get the finalized court order since the final court hearing was completed in November 2023, over six months ago and I have not gotten any response in regards to my son s child custody arrangements. I spoke to my lawyer who represented me and she said that this is pending on the Whitley law firm and when I called also to the courthouse, they said there s nothing on file and nothing can be done until the Whitley law firm completes the paperwork on their end and get signature. Frustrating :/

I seldom saw her or heard from her. I was told not to talk to her unless she asked me a question. Would set a time to call me and she didn t. Suddenly wanted to settle because I didn t have the funds needed to continue against the opposing lawyer. I was told by one of her personnel that she was having personal problems and couldn t invest more time with me. The very limited time I spoke and met with her was cordial but curt.

1000% the best lawyers in South Texas! I cannot even begin to express the amount of gratitude my children and I have for these ladies and the entire staff. From the secretary, the billing coordinator, the paralegals, to the lawyers themselves answered all of my questions to my confusion when I was going through an ugly divorce. They gave me the strength and the fire I needed to get through this devastating time in our lives because I was so lost, broken and weak, but not anymore. They answered my phone calls on the weekends, returned my emails, and answered my personal text messages when I needed them. They represented me with class, and the intelligence that most would not understand. All of these ladies made me feel comfortable, safe, and let me know that I was no longer alone anymore. They took half of my money down upfront and let me pay the rest in payments because I am a single mother now. Whitley Law Firm is hands down the place to go if you want to win your case! If it could be 0 stars it would be As mentioned, calls will not be returned, emails not returned. Having in writing from them that specific points are retroactive and that its best to just sign because x,y,z and covered by parts noted in 1,2,3. The process should have been faster. Meredith had to be told that her client wanted to go to court as an agreement couldnt be met multiple times and then she started working the case after almost a year of waiting on her. They bill for every small thing and do nothing. If you call them and leave a voice mail they will bill you time to listen to it but not respond. They will not answer client emails however if they are questioned by a 3rd party they answer in under 30 min but will not answer their client who emailed at the same time. If you want a more competent, timely, or professional lawyer I recommend speaking to a homeless person. He will lie to you as well but wont pretend he didnt. This whole place is corrupt and should all have their licenses stripped. Buyer beware. I am posting this on all review sites. If they respond to this it will be to say they have no active or past case with me, that is true. I had to take over communication for my mow wife to have anything done and it took mild threats of reporting misconduct to get the communication we got. Please go anywhere else. You can probably do better representing yourself blindfolded and not knowing anything about your life.

If I could give no stars I would. This is the worst law firm ever. Dragged their feet on my case. Divorce took over a year and still dealing with them. They dont finish the case. No calls backs from them. Always dealing with different lawyers for my case everytime. Never the same one. I am a single parent, I cant afford to keep paying them. Now I am having to go elsewhere to finish my case. Money I dont have. Do not use these people. They will waste your time and money and will not finish your case.

Whitley Law Firm is the WORST firm that you can use. They do not return your calls or complete their cases. They rather keep billing you, taking your money and not finishing your case. My case both parties are in agreement and have signed the orders but Deanna Whitley and Meredith Ford have not giving the paper for the judge to sign. They just keep letting the bill add up. They have been called and emailed multiple times but will not respond. These are the worst two lawyers in San Antonio and will be reported to the bar by ALL parties. Do yourself a favor and do your research before hiring this firm.

I called the law firm to see if they would be able to help with my sisters divorce proceedings as their website mentioned pro bono. The lady I spoke to (I wish I remembered her name) was upfront with their pricing and explained to me that pro bono is only for criminal and not civil. However, she gave me some great resources and great advice about how to ask for a continuance and how to ask the judge if I can speak on my sisters behalf. She spent at least 10 minutes with me on the phone and I could tell she really cared. She didnt have to do that, but Im so very grateful for her help. Even though I wasnt able to use this firm, I could tell from my short conversation that this firm is truly about the best interest of their client and they go the extra mile. They are a bit pricier than other firms. However, if my conversation was any example of the service you would receive, and you want the best to represent you, I believe theyre worth every penny!

I finally found the light at the end of the tunnel with the help of Deanna! She is a GOD SEND! My divorce took me 2 years of ups and downs. I was so devastated and so lost in the beginning. I was unsure, not knowing where to turn. I am so grateful to have Deanna and her legal team represent me in my case. My case was not a simple divorce case. She was able to maneuver confidently in the courtroom while giving me reassurance and peace. She came up with creative strategies that helped me. I know she made some suggestions to me pertaining to my case that I didn t understand at the time why she was recommending it, but I am so glad I listened to her. Before I decided to hire Deanna, I have gone through a vigorous process of interviewing a dozen of attorneys. None of the attorneys that I have interviewed could give me the assurance that I would get the best representation. It wasn t until I made a consultation with Deanna to discuss my case that I knew I made the right choice. I listened to my heart and I knew she was the right attorney to represent my children and I. The divorce itself was so painful; Deanna is a well-seasoned attorney who has practiced family law for a very long time. I honestly took a leap of faith with her. One thing I can say is that Deanna and her legal team, they really do care for their clients on a personal level. I was treated with dignity and respect even when I was an emotional wreck. I am so grateful for Deanna and her whole legal team! I will say that yes the firm gets really busy. So, some of the steps that I took to help my case: - Get organized!!!! - I put all documents in document protectors and in a binder - I also put sticky notes of events to explain the documents - I made 2 copies. One for myself, and the other for the attorney. This was to ensure we both had corresponding documents - I had a character list of all parties involved. I.e.: Karol=my mom etc. - I had a timeline of all the significant events that occurred & typed it out on word DOC. If new situations occurred I revised the word doc and resubmitted it. -Timeline is ex: Summer 2017 Spring 2017. This happened I am very happy with my decision. If you need a strong attorney who will go above and beyond for you and actually cares about you, call The Whitley Law Firm. You will not regret it! Truly regret hiring this law firm. Don t believe all those great reviews .There is no communication unless you reach out to them to try to find out what is going on but even then when you call they have no clue as well. They are real quick to take your money and charge for every conversation but will know nothing about your case also they always claim they will call back with more information but never do.

My fiancé is going through a nasty divorce/ custody hearing. It been going on for about 2 years. Dallas is the worst lawyer I have ever encountered in my 38 years of living. She never answers the phone or helps with questions you would not know who to answer. My fiancé had court and she didn t even show up her colleague did and didn t know anything about the case. My fiancé is one of the best fathers I know but is being treated as if he is a bum. They will not fight for you DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!! TERRIBLE RUNNNN

Miss Whitley dug me out of hole and was able to get a previously horrible lawyer off of the case. She acted quickly to reverse what was turning into a very bad outcome. In the end the truth was revealed, and my ex realized he would not get away with lying in court with my current lawyer.

I would recommend Deanna & the entire Whitley Law Firm staff thousands of times over if I could. In February 2020, I received an offer for my dream job - which was out of state. I attempted to compromise with my daughters father, but my attempts failed & ended in him telling me if I wanted to take the job and keep my daughter, wed have to go to court. After a decade of the bullying, manipulation & using my daughter as a pawn & a means to control, I had enough. This was an opportunity that would change the trajectory of my career and the quality of my daughters life, as well as future opportunities. So, I began my search for a lawyer. I prayed that God would guide me in my search & that I would know who to hire. After dozens of phone calls to multiple offices, I called The Whitley Law Firm & a beautiful soul named Cait picked up the phone. After dozens of calls to people who were clearly uninterested in my life changing event, when Cait answered the phone - there was finally someone on the other end of the line who cared enough to listen. She then went a step further, telling me to take a deep breath, explaining that she herself is a mom & she knew what I was going through. And then proceeding to tell me that - although she couldnt guarantee anything, shed been doing this a long time & thought I was in a good spot & a conversation with Ms. Whitley and her team would confirm that. I looked at these reviews when I selected a lawyer for my divorce; it weighed into my selection decision. I would not recommend this firm. My experience with them was not positive. My ex and I were on decent terms and worked out most of the details of our divorce on our own. My dealings with this firm only increased this already stressful time as they were not responsive to my desires and overcomplicated things that could have been much simpler. My divorce went final in 2018 and I ceased seeking services from them. However to this day, I am still dealing with issues with conflicting verbiage in the decree. Shop around more and possibly save yourself some frustrations.

I have had a horrible experience with them. They have tried to operate 100% by email so far. Huge opportunities were lost because they didn t inform me of anything to help me understand what was going on. More than once, one of my emails was completely mis-read, causing many more emails, equaling much more money for them. Phone calls to clarify the lack of actually reading my emails? More money for them. After the initial appointment I didn t ever see anyone. My ex s cut-rate lawyer was more attentive and helpful for him than mine; and these guys cost me 5 times more than his lawyer. I have been terrified that really important things would get left out of final documents. All in alI have felt completely alone in this process. I do not recommend them in any way.

I would not recommend using this firm. I believe some of the other reviews might be false to hide the actual service this Firm provides. I contacted this firm about a year ago because of the excellent reviews. After meeting attorney in person I was assured that the cost would not be greater than the 2,500.00 retainer required to continue. I then decided to contract this firm. My divorce was fairly simple; no opposing attorney, no joint property, no joint assets, no children. Yet this matter took more than a year to finally get to a judge and final invoice was double the cost (5,000.00). This firm will run up your cost dramatically so be ware. I could only imagine what my cost of divorce would be if more was involved.

Horrible Attorney!! Never took in to consideration all the things th Mother did never brought it out in court?? And never let me say my piece in court al ays told me to be quiet and not say a word!! Wanted to appeal the judges wring decision and she would not do it?? My kids Mom stood up in court under oath and lied and I think my attorney believed her as well as the judge?? No cross examination?? Honestly think she totally worked against me!! I already had joint custody to begin this fight, and was way grossly over charged! And to just get the same joint custody??? You tell me public what does that tell you?? 20 grand to get the same outcome?? Ex was absent from our kids life half thier life?? That is an injustice!!! Family court is a joke in this city!!

I chose this firm because of their collaborative law approach.
