Can not say enough good things about Mrs. Martinez. I had a difficult case that could have turned out very differently without her persistence and expertise. She was very honest from the start and did everything she promised to. Truly felt like she fought for me and my case did end up getting dismissed. I went based on reviews here when I chose her and I hope someone you needs it sees this. She will work with you financially as well which was great. Literally not one complaint. Mrs Martinez was hired as a lawyer for my son. She fought for my son like I would!!!! Mrs Martinez is professional, she tells it like it is (doesn t sugar coat anything), she can read you and can tell what kind of a person you are right away. I hired Mrs. Martinez to defend me in a case of street racing. We talked a plan to have the case dismissed pre trial, but a 2nd charge followed and this was denied. Even though my 2nd charge caused Mrs. Martinez more work than agreed upon, she decided to represent me for both cases and come to a solution with the DA that allowed me to get deferred adjudication for one, and a dismissal for the other. With my cases being Class A and Class B misdemeanors, I could have faced a pretty bad sentence, but instead I am doing a few months of probation and a driver course and good to go. I got myself in a tight spot with a DWI/extreme intoxication charge. Miss Martinez was able to get it drop down to an obstruction of passageway and got me on deferred probation so it wont be on my record. I had a great experience and is like to tell you about how Sophia Martinez fought for me for almost a year and how much I enjoyed being represented by her. I hired Ms. Martinez for my case and being my first time being arrested i was a nervous wreck, not only wss i impressed by her confidence and knowledge but also her kind will to comfort and help, she is tough and dedicated she was completely understanding worked with me as a young student on payment plans and was extremely informative and explained everything to me in a way i could understand, I was extremely satisfied with both the out come of my case and the professionalism of Ms.Martinez wasnt my first consideration for my case, however in my experience with ms martinez after i called her with brief consultation over the phone i then went to her office and almost imeadiatly knew i wanted to hire her. I highly recommended the former assistant district attorney for any and every legal need where you may need representation. Although i hope to never have to,I will continue to hire Sohpia Martinez for any and all legal situations. not only did Ms. Martinez make me feel taken care of she also taught me alot that I didnt know. First off. If I could give a 10 star award to this lady for her servive that she provided for me I would. A wonderful straight forward lady. She works for you. She does what is best for you. She will only have your best interest in mind when representing you. You need a payment plan? Shell work with you. But dont be late on paying. You come to a agreement with her you better stick by it because she does. Tough love I saw written by another issuer on here. Ill say that is true. I had a MTR on a misdemeanor charge that was brought down from a felony. She worked quick to get a bond that was waaaaaaayyyyy cheaper then my original bond. Then moved fast to have it dismissed which she did with no problems. I have nothing but great respect and love for this lady. You hire her for your case you wont be disappointed. At the very least go talk to her which is free and make up your own mind. But when you deal with her you better come correct. Dont lie to her. Be upfront at all times. And you will get the same in return from her.

I had contacted her for representation and she setup a appointment time of 1:00pm. I was told by her to arrive early to find parking. After getting there at 12:20, I found a note on her door that stated nobody was in the office and it would reopen at 1:30. I immediately became concerned because the appointment was for 1:00. I called her number at 12:34 and explained the situation and my concern about not having anyone there to her answering service. Ms Martinez called me back promptly and said that she was in court and assured me that she would be there on time or call me if she was late. She said she was waiting for a judge to sign something for her. She then said that her assistant had went to lunch and left the note on the door. I said okay and started to wait for her. At 1:20 I decided to to leave because I had yet to see or hear from anyone. I then saw Ms Martinez on the street in front of her building and asked her what the deal was. She immediately got aggressive with me and told me she had been waiting on a judge to sign a document for her. She then told me that she couldnt call me because she was in the courtroom. Afterwards she says well do you want to do this or not?! I expressed my frustration with her tardiness and started to follow her until she got even more aggressive and started saying the same things about the judge and courtroom. By doing this she lied twice in the same sentence. If she couldnt call me or show up on time because she was waiting on a judge. How did she call me from inside the courtroom, while waiting for the judge, to tell me she might be late and would call me if she was. If she has so little care or remorse for being late and not communicating, how will she treat your case in the courtroom. Will someones or something elses time become more important than yours? If she knew that she had prior appointments why would she schedule more than she can handle.. To me she was highly unprofessional all around.

I greatly appreciate Ms. Martinezs hard work on my case. I was recommended by a friend who had a DWI dismissed by her. She is very helpful and will do her best to get you out of the predicament youre in, which she did for me. Her prices are very fair compared to many other attorneys I looked for and she has a good payment plan available. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Miss Martinez had my case dismissed. I was facing 1-2 years of probation and my two previous attorneys were useless. One of them tried to get me a higher sentence because they were furious about the delay in pay. So I hired Miss Martinez last minute and I was blown in court by her service. I also had a warrant at the time she also took care of. She is an aggressive attorney. She even asked me if I was safe with my partner whom was taking care of me through these rough times. Yes, she has a temper; but she was beyond caring, compassionate. Thank you Miss Martinez!

I am very appreciative of everything Mrs. Martinez has done for my family. She worked with us on a very reasonable payment plan. Mrs. Martinez is a very straight forward tough love type of lawyer but she took our case even when it seemed impossible , she got it dismissed. After court she took me aside and told me why she was tough on us. So we can get things done and win. She gave me a hug and made me feel so much better after such a stressful time in our lives. No nonsense woman for sure but all in all she comes from the heart and really tries to help her clients get their lives back. Truly grateful.

This woman bad mouthed another attorney. Refused to return my 200 for consulting services when we had 30 minutes and she was sarcastic about using it for a new purse. This woman is vial and unpredictable... youre absolutely taking a chance with her irrational behavior. Would not recommend. Prayers since she kept my only money till God blessed me with the new attorney that overheard her foul language and remarks about him.

I highly recommend Ms. Sofia Martinez attorney at law. She was hired by my son, who was charged with assault with bodily injury. He caught this case while vacationing in San Antoinio while we reside in the Houston area. Ms. Martinez worked diligently on this case and was extremely persistent to get the information she needs to fight the case. The communication with the client is proof of the dedication she has to the case. She may come across a bit stern at times, however she is all about her clients case and their well being. She really is a good person. Ive personally dealt with Ms.Martinez during the case. Case was dismissed and my son will be working with her again next year to get the arrest exponged from his background.

Ms. Sophia Martinez is an exceptional lawyer. I see other reviews that all she cares about is money or she is verbally abusive. Ms. Martinez is an aggressive lawyer. She gives you what I would call tough love To a sensitive individual she may come off as rude, or like she doesnt care. When in fact she is actually doing things behind the scenes to get the best outcome she possibly can. I have seen her get upset, but it is only because she has made request for you to do, or not to do things. As far as money, it is necessary for her to get paid, because just like you and I she is also trying to make a living. She took on my case for two years, even when I had completed paying her fees, she continued to fight for me in court. Was I completely satisfied with my plea bargain, no, but this was due to my own bad decisions, not hers. She kept me out jail, got dismissals, spoke on my behalf, and stood by me until the end. I have hired Sophia twice, and if I am ever need of another lawyer I would definitely hire her again. DO NOT GET A COURT APPOINTED ATTORNEY. Her prices are reasonable, and she will have payment plans to work with you. Consider Sophia Martinez for your situation.

I would first like to say that Sophie is an agressive attorney. If you find yourself in the unfortunate predicament of needing an attorney, lets face it...YES, you need not only a lawyer who knows what they are doing but who is aggressive, assertive, and who is on YOUR side. She treats you with respect, she is no holds bar honest and will tell you what things are no sugar coating, just straight honesty. That is so refreshing My husband Adrian B. Mar, age 40, used Sophie and we have NO regrets. We have a great deal of respect for Sophie, her qualifications and her ability to handle any situation and get the job done. I like someone who doesnt beat around the bush. Just tell it straight and get the job done. She treats you with respect. As for the comment about her being one of the most expensive lawyers, first of all, that is not quite true. She is not out of this world unaffordable. I will say this much though...just remember the old saying of you get what you pay for! Sophie Martinez is worth EVERY PENNY spent. As apposed to many out there that are not. As for the comment about not keeping abrest of your case, that is a lie, she is always in contact and will keep you up to date on your case and anything new that comes up. As for ripping a new one in the courtroom, anyone who has been to these can tell you that is an outright lie. You cannot do that inside the courtroom. There may have been a conversation OUTSIDE the courtroom, but it would NOT have happened in the courtroom. There is no way for me to put what Sophia Martinez did for me except that she gave me my life back. I am a student studying Mechanical Engineering with aspirations to go on and receive my masters in aerospace and become a licensed engineer. Unfortunately i was going down the wrong path, I was caught with a felonious amount of narcotics and I lost everything, my home, my scholarships, my school, all because i now had a felony on my record. I received her letter in the mail and at first i was skeptical because the recent lawyer i had before Mrs. Martinez left me in the court room because he has bigger cases on his hands. from the get go I made a down payment of 250 and had to pay bi weekly 150 until we reached a sum of 2500. Over the next few months Mrs. Martinez gave me everything i needed to do, where to go, and we had a plan from the start. Now Mrs. Martinez DOES NOT PLAY!!! you have to be serious with her and i am living proof that she will come with some serious results. when i struggled to pay for my payments i received 2 slides and that was it. Mrs. Martinez is a tough and respectable woman. She runs in the court room like the star quarterback runs on the football field and she makes things happen, but you have to work with her or she will show you tough love. For all the times i thought my life was over i think back to the date when she reduced my felony to a misdemeanor and the Judge looked me in the eye and said i could have my life back. Mrs. Sophia Martinez is one of the best lawyers you could have. She loves her job and shes damn good at it, The 2500 I paid was not only for some of the best and last court defense i recieved, but it was also to continue my life and to stay happy. I highly recommend Ms. Martinez. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and was able to explain to me every step of the legal process. After many attempts, she was able to get my charges dismissed; a less tenacious atty. or PD would probably not have gone to those lengths. Remember, you get what you pay for in life, and considering whats on the line, you best be getting the best. I hope I never need her services again but I sure know who to call if I do.
