The park and its trails are themselves very nice, but getting harassed by wildlife made my hike much less enjoyable. (Wildlife = two young girls who came out of one of the residences next to the park and started screaming at each other AND then at me as I walked by them! The adult who was with them did nothing to stop their disturbing behavior. Wildlife also includes an illegally off-leash dog running in front of two walking humans; that insane canine nearly ran into me!) 9/28/24 Update: Do NOT say Hi! to anyone who does not make eye contact with you!

This is a great starting point for part of the Greenway Trail. Great playground for family. There are plenty of mountain bike trails to keep you busy. You can go 5 miles 10 miles 15 or 20 miles all on a variety of inclines and routes. There s also a pave sidewalk for walking and street bikes. I recommend the monkey loops if you have a mountain bike they re extremely fun. Be safe out there. Drink lots of water. Playground: Play Ground is well-maintained and ready to accommodate many kids. Toilets: Very well maintain restroom facilities at the trailhead. Safe environment for the families big covered area for large gatherings. Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs in the area keep your dog on a leash. Picnic area: Multiple picnic locations for a variety settings

This park is excellent for its paved trails. If you re walking with a stroller or a pulled wagon, it is great. Also, it provides other opportunities for off road hiking with numerous trails. There are playgrounds close to the trailhead. This place also has soccer fields and other sporting fields. I have not gone to the other fields besides the soccer fields This park also has picnic benches along the main drive where you can barbecue or just chill out with a picnic that you bring. It is really good time and you will find lots of people there doing various activities such as mountain biking running walking, skateboarding, rollerskating, and playing on the playground. Playground: The playground is located next to the main pavilion and the main parking lot. It looks pretty decent and the kids seem to have fun playing there. My kids are grown so they haven t gone there in many years but when we had gone, it was a lot of fun. Toilets: There are restrooms at the pavilion in near the main parking lot on the backside of the pavilion at the top of the main trailhead. There is also a restroom. Picnic area: There are picnic tables along the main road in the park. Also, the pavilion at the top of the trailhead has picnic tables. I m not sure if you need to rent that out for an actual event, but it s there.

Grew up around the area and moved back recently, Im glad to see that a lot hasent changed yet the things that have, changed for the better. The trails are clean, people were respectful to the wildlife. Would have subtracted a star for the bug I found on the toilet seat but the well marked hike was worth it.

Water fountains periodically along paved walking trails and at playground. Found another at pavilion. The fountains have dog bowls as well... much appreciated. Tons of biking/hiking/walking trails and we saw several deer. Shade about half the time midday. Playground: Big covered playground. Restrooms are inside the huge pavilion next to it. Dog-friendliness: Watering bowls at each water fountain. I didnt see any poop bag dispensers though. Picnic area: Nice covered picnic areas with small grills.

Tons of wild life... Went for the Mountain bike trails which were a little confusing to find and a little extra muddy since I went early in the morning after two days of rain. I never could find the man made trail features area. Dry pavement doesnt mean dry trails. Decided to try again another day and set my bike up for soupy conditions in San Antonio. If youre a MTB person, a fairly noby soft tire and lower tire pressure if its wet. Or youll end up looking like a slow motion UCI XC crash real. Its slickery. And Ive definitely found my new trials practice area. Anybody ever come across a weirdo hipity hoping on the back wheel by himself in the wash out... Come say hi. Ill show you how to bunny hop.

My kids love this park, our only complaint is there arent enough swings! We love that after the kids get some energy out playing we can all go on a nice walk through the paved trails! Playground: Two play sets one for older kids and one for younger kids, there are also two swings. Toilets: There is a restroom through the big pavilion in the back. There are also outhouses when walking the trails. Picnic area: There is a HUGE pavilion with a dozen picnic tables. And also right by the playground there is a small shaded area with tables.
