Remarkably mediocre food for the price. I ordered the Big Breakfast Sandwich and my partner ordered the frittata. The frittata was passable, but the sandwich was not. The menu says it s on a brioche bun but what I was served was a hill country fare burger bun that was drowned in butter. The coffee was serviceable and the server was kind, but for a $50 breakfast for two I was unimpressed. Find somewhere else (like Julia s Bistro, La Panaderia, or Schilo s).

Dont... Just dont. If you want a good coffee, go for it, but for the love of all thats good. Just avoid any food. Its not inedible, but the kitchen takes NO pride in their work and charges way too much for the food delivered to the table. The bagel was so bland and they put a comical amount of cream cheese (a tiny dab on each side). The crisp potatoes in the picture were 3 new potatoes and were a $4 side . Just go somewhere else, please

Nachos really arent. A lot of Chipotle mayo masking as cheese; way too much. Cheese is categorically inadequate. The mayo overpowers everything on the dish, what little cheese, brisket, etc. Its obvious they care more about food costs vs flavor. Shame on the decisions made on what should be a straightforward dish. Left 80% on the plate. Quesadillas in contrast, were pretty good. Unfortunately, a bit too much grease from the shredded short rib meat. Would order again though. Wine selection is okay. My wife enjoyed her wine. Servers inadequate for the venue. They missed us coming in. Someone needs to float to see the status every few minutes. We sat for over 10 minutes and were leaving. My wife talked to manager and server that were chatting up front rather than monitoring. We had a show to go to. 10 minute wait now for them to take check and our payment. I expect more from a Sheraton run venue.

We went to this establishment after our show at the Majestic, and sadly it wasn t a great experience. We walked in and it was relatively empty but we were not greeted or told what to do so we went to sit down only to find we needed to go up to the bar for menus. There were 2 male staff members that for a little bit were attentive and the food came out generally fast. We got the chips and dip which was yummy and they even gave us extra chips which was nice. Our steak was pretty undercooked but as medium rare lovers we didn t mind. It was after the steak came out that the service really declined. The waiter didn t check in on us again and he passed us directly several times. We waited about 20 min to be noticed but the waiter never even looked our direction. We finally went up to the bar and awkwardly waited at an edge to get the check and carrot cake. I noticed other people waiting for their check too and the waiter seemed overwhelmed even though there really wasn t that many people. He never even apologized for ignoring us or making us wait. Thank goodness the food was good, but wasn t quite the experience we wanted.

Went to The Market on Houston for the first time on October 26,2023 before going to the Tobin to see Celtic Thunder. It was a party of three, myself, daughter, granddaughter. This will be the last time I visit. Ill go across the street to Jimmy Johns before going back to The Market. We ordered waters ($0.0), chips and queso ($10.00), burger ($14.00), cheese for the burger (2.00), and a kids chicken tenders (8.00). Since we were going to the concert, we didnt want big heavy meals, so my daughter and granddaughter decided to share the burger, which they ordered almost well done. Chips and queso came out fairly quickly. In the slow (3 folks at bar; one other gentleman at the table next to us), our food was kinda slow coming out--but good, freshly cooked food, takes time. No worries. Well, our food came out. When the burger was cut in half, blood almost ran out. It looked like it was placed on the grill flipped, and then flipped on the bun. I cut the chicken, and the inside was a faint pink in the center, and a sour taste. *Shiver* However, the fries were to die for! So, my granddaughter ate 1/2 the burger (which she liked), and my daughter and I ate fries. It was getting close to the time we had to leave, so I tracked Rebecca down (our server) for the check. I found her consulting with I guess the manager on duty. I was informed they were working on a discount because of the food quality. Ok...very nice. Now remember, the only food consumed was fries, 1/2 a burger and chips and queso. The bill was $30.60 without tax. I would think that was a pretty hearty bill for chips and queso, fries, and 1/2 a burger. Their idea of taking care of a customer, was a badge, military discount of 10%, $3.40. Whaaaaa? I spent 20 years in customer service, and the first words out of my mouth would be What can I do to make this right for you? I can see The Market has a 3.5 Star Rating. Perhaps it is good, sometimes? I wont chance it again. $30 for chips and caso, fries, and 1/2 a burger is a bit, yea no. I did give the server (Rebecca) a $7 tip (23%). None of this was here fault. Check number #912910086, Table 13 The Market-do better.

Worst service ever we ended up walking out. The staff behaves like there is a fire everywhere but they had plenty of servers to handle the amount of tables. Literately two table tops per server. The counter was covered in piled up dirty dishes. No one was greeting people as they came in. It took a good 10 min for someone to tell us it would be a 20 min wait. We decided to stick around but there was no place to sit while waiting even though there was a slew of open tables. When we finally got sat we were told the expresso machines were broken and coffee was the main reason we were there. Seriously what a disaster. We left and I would NEVER recommend you waste your time with a house full of incompetent servers.

My wife and I came here for breakfast since it was just down the street from our hotel. My wife had looked at the menu prior to arriving. When we got there, they gave us menus which had been photocopied and were hard to read. When the waiter asked if we would like some coffee (regular hot), she told him that she wanted an iced coffee. He answered by telling her that they didnt make anything like that. That we would need to go the Starbucks across the street for that. She had seen iced coffee options on the menu online, so she was confused and told him regular (hot) coffee would be fine. After bringing the coffee he asked if we were ready to order. We both ordered the Classic Waffle (what was on the menu we were given). The menu we saw online called it a Texas Pecan Waffle (pecan stuffed waffle). I asked him if the Classic Waffle came with pecans. He looked confused at first and then said, We could add some to it (which they did). When the waffles arrived, they looked exactly like the Texas Pecan Waffle (Texas shaped) that we saw in the pictures, so we were confused. During our meal, we also experienced some confusion between our waiter and two other waitresses. They were almost arguing outloud close enough to our table for us to hear as to who was getting the next table. Im guessing the restaurant is under new management based on the different menu and the confusion between the staff on certain things that I noticed. Anyway, breakfast and service was just okay. Nothing special. If youre looking for a delicious breakfast around the area, I highly recommend visiting La Panaderia just down the road. The food and service there was top notch.

Went in with a coworker for lunch and we both ordered the burger with fries. There was one other person in the entire place - which should have been a red flag. My meal was good, burger was alright and the fries were fantastic - Its hard to find fries that good. However my coworker specifically ordered no aioli/mayo, but when our food arrived theirs still it all over the bottom bun. They asked to have it removed, and 5 minutes later was returned the same burger with aioli/mayo still on the vegetables and burger patty like the cook had tried to wiped off with a paper towel. They then went to the manager who had it made from scratch like a proper recook. They did completely comp my coworkers meal after the manager had it replaced properly. At one point I asked for more water and the waiter poured water into my coworkers sprite glass as well as my water - and they give you a plastic bottle of soda with a class of ice, not an actual proper soda fountain. So they completely ruined a non-refillable drink. At this point after all the problems we just decided to leave. I paid my bill and they were comped their meal. The food was alright - alright burger though the fries were fantastic - but the lack of attention to detail and the attempt to lazily wipe off a sauce that an item was ordered without is just negligent.

We had a late breakfast on a Tuesday (2/8/22). As others mentioned it s walk in, order, take a seat and wait for your meal. Dinning room was cold as if there was no heat in the restaurant, the employee wore her coat the entire time as did we. Employee and manager were nice and took care of any need we had. Buffet only offered during the weekend- one of the ladies in my party had asked about it. Food was good, we had the Avocado Toast, Egg and Bacon Croissant (bacon on the side), side of potatoes, and the Big Ranch Waffle. Food arrived quickly after ordering, we were able to have a refill of coffee and when one coffee was chilled after adding sugar and cream it was reheated upon request and even offered a new hot coffee but reheating was preferred by the lady in our party. I d likely have given 4 stars if we were comfortable eating but it was just too cold in the restaurant causing the food to chill quickly and the coffee being chilling as well. My mom and I split the croissant and avocado toast she said the bacon was crispy and well cooked. Avocado toast had good flavor and veggies added were fresh. Egg was fluffy and delicious.

They were also offering a breakfast buffet for $20/person. It didn t look good so I ordered from the menu, which was just as bad. This place has so much potential, but the execution is lackluster. I tried to order a cappuccino from their menu, but was told they only have coffee. Juice comes in a small plastic bottle from the self-service fridge, yet they charge you like they just handpicked the oranges and fresh squeezed them for your dining pleasure. There s a reason the restaurant is empty on a Saturday morning in an area full of hungry tourists.

It took over 10 minutes to be waited on. The appetizer we ordered was awful and we sent it back, the soup we like mush. Then the Cobb Salad was just not right, wrong, wrong, wrong. Very bad experience

We went to the performance of Miss Saigon. We stopped for a quick meal of soup and salad. Both items were very tasty. We ordered Soup of the day - Vegetable and a Cobb salad.

Quesadilla was huge!!! It was served overflowing with delicious cheese and tender brisket. Co-worker ordered chicken and waffles- waffles were shaped as the great state of Texas. Fun and tasty!

I ordered the crab cakeS (see menu I posted), a Cobb Salad and a glass of Prosecco. Husband ordered unsweet tea and Shrimp and Grits. The Prosecco would rot your teeth because . . . it was Moscato. That got fixed. My Crab Cake (singular) came out with husbands Shrimp and Grits. Menu clearly says Crab CakeS (plural) for $13. It was, however, delicious. Husband said the S&G were good, but there were only three shrimp-- for $23! They were NOT large by any measure. We ate. And waited for my Cobb Salad. And waited. And waited. Finally, when the wait person wandered by and again said the salad would be right out, I told her to cancel it. Location right across from the Majestic cant be beat, but I thought a simple Cobb Salad would come out before a more-complicated Crab Cake or it at least with it. I dont think I was a bad customer for cancelling the salad when we had waited 20+ minutes after finishing the initial dishes. I gave two stars because the singular Crab Cake was delicious.

Steak was tasteless when rare, chicken was dry and mostly bones, the broccoli was undercooked, my plate was taken from me without a word before I was finished, and we were handed a steak knife from the wrong end. We were wondering why it was almost empty when we came in. Service was fast. Not worth $55, go to KFC instead.

Not bad for the price. Hotel food. Very concerned about turning over tables. Elderly couple in table next to ours was asked leave to accommodate an expected rush of customers (Les Miz) across the street. I got the special $19 and the portions were minuscule. Like a 2 oz piece of Salmon with three slices of squash and three brocolli florets. The waitress laughed when she brought it to us. For $2 more, my wife got an 8oz Ribeye with 4 pieces of shrimp. Mashed potatos and a vegetable. Really!?

Came in early this morning and the staff was very friendly! Unfortunately, the 2 stacks of pancakes I ordered were hard around the edges, so I was not able to eat them. I would ve sent them back, but since my order was to go, I did not know this until I came back to my hotel. I ll probably skip this restaurant on my next visit.

Stayed at the Shareton. Came down for a late breakfast and was criticized for showing up 10 minutes before breakfast was to stop being served. Had to get our own water from where they had all of the carafes. Food was great, price was fair, service was terrible.

Food was bad and service was worse. Everyone was very nice but didn t seem to care if we waited for a long time to be seated or for our food. We were some of the only people in the restaurant at the time and even still it took forever to get our food. After the long wait, they still didn t have my daughter s order of soup. Turns out they couldn t make it so we switched to a burger and then they said they couldn t make that. To be fair, they did take 50% off the bill (because I voiced my complaint )but that doesn t change the fact that my daughter didn t eat dinner. Won t go back and I suggest that you don t either.
