Be prepared to be ignored once seated . We went in party of 2 we waited about 15 minutes before we actually got a text that our table was ready . We noticed that when we got the message a guy came in with his son and was told to wait in the waiting area . Yet he went straight in and got a table . No one told him anything and we were there waiting all this time . After seating we waited 10 minutes to be helped by someone to order our food . Food was good but service is horrible . The guy that sits you or the host doesn t have customer service he looks bothered . Some older gentlemen about 5 6 . I don t think I ll come back .also they come by your table to offer you pictures to be taken but they rush you not time to pose or nothing it s a joke . Lame tactic for profit

Me and my husband sat outside and ordered 2 drinks and an appetizer. While waiting for our order I look over and could clearly see 3 employees talking about me and my husband. I noticed the head nod towards our table and could read their lips saying oh that table we just ignored it as it may have been a misunderstanding. Once I noticed them they broke away and the same employee went to another 2 employees and started doing it again. Staring at me and my husband mouthing the words yeah that table over there they continued doing this 3 times. We never were served our drinks or food so we just got up and walked off. Hard Rock Cafe i think its time to teach your employees a little common courtesy towards the paying customers.

I was pleasantly suprirsed with this Hard Rock Cafe. Usually, it feels like a gimmicky better version of Chilis. However, the service and food at this location were impeccable. Monica was very attentive, anitcipated our every need, and was an overall great server. The manager even stopped by our table to ensure everything was up to standard. You have to try their original legendary burger and herb aioli; it really is legendary!

New in Town and my man and I always try to stop by at every Hard Rock restaurant in every place we travel to. Each Hard Rock restaurant we visited had a unique aesthetic, so we re always excited to visit a new one. We visited this one for dinner and unfortunately it was not as impressive. The strawberry basil drink that I always order tasted the way it was presented, bad. It was presented in a regular glass that looked like they just poured regular strawberry lemonade and threw huge basil leaves in it. The shrimp appetizer was the same as the drink. Food presentation was not as appealing and the taste was not it. The burgers were great but they were stingy on the fries. There s a bar/club blasting music right across from the outdoor seating so it was very chaotic. It was also a Saturday night so I guess it s to be expected. The only thing we liked about our time there was our waitress. She was amazing. Polite, respectful and anticipated our needs.

Ive always loved visiting Hard Rock cafes since childhood- seeing some of my favorite artists memorabilia was truly exciting. I noticed though- the music thats playing is not what is being showcased. I had always thought the restaurant should be playing the music that makes Hard Rock what it is. I heard Taylor Swift, other various millennial whooping music, Top 40 radio music of 2022.... Kid Rock was literally the closest thing I heard to being on board and it was just that dang Summer song. Wheres Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Marilyn Manson, and of course, here in San Antonio with Selenas outfit on display, where is her music?? George Strait, Willie Nelson, none of these Texas icons were played, their guitars are on display. This will add dimension to the atmosphere which falls flat in the face of novelty.

When I asked if they were a nut free establishment I was told yes. However the Apple Cobbler had walnuts in the crust, which lead to an allergic reaction which ended my evening with 2 benadryl and epinephrine pin. Yall need to understand and make sure everything is truly nut free. I asked twice before ordering food and dessert. Dietary restrictions: Was told it was a nut free establishment it wasnt.

A nice little hard rock cafe. We first went to the shop and bought a few souvenirs, pins and magnets. Then go to the cafe for a cool drink. As in all Hard Rock Cafes, only nice employees are employed here. The lady even spoke a little German to us :-) A visit that was worth it. Thanks.

I am very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. My parents and myself are all over the age of 21 while my little sister is 20. My mother was going to order my sister an alcoholic drink as the Texas law permits a minor consuming an alcoholic beverage if it s with the parent. The waitress told us that the restaurant has their own policy and does not allow this, and we all understood and ordered drinks except for my little sister. Once our drinks and food were served at the table, a manager came by telling us that we had a question about this policy; to clarify, we did not have a question or problem with their policy. The manager explained their policy again to us, and the whole table understood as we had no issues with it to begin with, but we understand he is following up and doing his job. As we were eating, we saw our waitress speaking with what looked like a second manager who then came to our table and explained their policy AGAIN and practically accused my sister drinking the alcohol on our table when she most certainly did not and told us all our drinks would be taken away. At this point, it felt like our dinner experience was ruined after this accusation and being watched carefully all night. There were many cameras pointed at our table and I encourage them to go back and watch. I have lived in San Antonio my whole life along with the rest of my family and we love coming downtown on the weekends to have fun. I have never once felt so targeted as my father could see the waitress and second manager staring at our table watching our every move and making us uncomfortable. I believe our waitress could tell we were upset after the accusation as she avoided our table for the rest of our dining and did not want to service us. We understand the restaurant has a policy to follow and as customers we never once questioned, complained, or challenged this policy. The restaurant staff caused a whole scene that was definitely unnecessary. My family is very polite and kind and we will never make a scene, so to get the whole table upset is definitely saying a lot about this dinning experience, and it s safe to say we will be avoiding this place in the future.

Had a great time here, the waiters were very nice, the food was delicious! The right amount of sauce was used on the chicken wings, not to much, not to little! The atmosphere was beautiful especially at night! I would recommend this! Also if any of you come here try the Chicken wings with House-made barbeque, Sweet tea,and The Hot Fudge Brownie!The French fries were crispy on the outside but tender on the inside! The sweet tea is good! Wait time was about 10-15 minutes. Occasionally you see the River walk boats too!

Was there last Sunday during day trip to San Antonio. The HRC located beside the river. Can eat inside or outside (riverside). Its too hot summer in Texas after few minutes waiting for food outside we moved in for the aircond. Nice environment there, with fun and very friendly waiter / waitress. The food same like other HRC. Tuesday 7pm - seated right away on the river; the legendary burger was fresh off the grill with the cheese still ooozing, the smoked old fashioned was great - a little sweet for me but diluted it with water to perfection (everyone has different taste - no point deductions there and NOT overly sweet). There are very few tables indoors that can accommodate a wheelchair. A lot of booths and high tops. Only about 5/6 tables we could use, the wait was long due to this fact. We got there about two hours before close and waited over an hour for one of the few handicap tables. Once seated we were told to rush to order bc the kitchen will close in 20 mins. Just not a great experience. I usually love hard rock cafes this one just missed the mark. Wheelchair accessibility: Not very accessible. Only 5/6 handicapped tables inside and to get to the Riverwalk entrance you have to use the city elevator outside the restaurant. Only one handicapped stall in the womens room and was out of order during the visit.

In general, we like the Hard Rock, but it can be very hit or miss. Its expensive for good (not great) food and service can be decent to bad. Our last visit was with family so a relatively large party (12 people) and there was a LOT of confusion when our food came. Plates got switched, one didnt come at all, so to fix the situation two in our party had to wait another 20 minutes or so to get their food. It was a split check so a ton more confusion about who had what and to make matters worse, we were overcharged on a couple of things. The menu said an extra $2 for bacon on a burger, but we were charged $4 AND my husband got an Arnold Palmer and the waitress charged us for 2 SEPARATE drinks, a tea and a lemonade, totaling about $12. That seemed absolutely ridiculous to me so I asked the waitress and she insisted that was right. Luckily a manager was nearby and asked what was going on. I asked him and he fixed our charges (changed the bacon to $2 and charged us for a tea). Wed still go back. I really love their twisted mac n cheese pasta with chicken and the group enjoyed their burgers.

Loved this place!!! Been a guitarist for 30+yrs and its cool to see old school memorabilia in the same place you eat. Food was as good as it could be, service was AWESOME(even when busy) and the atmosphere is ALWAYS GREAT when you can eat on the Riverwalk!! After going to rainforest cafe on the riverwalk which was a terrible experience! Waited 40 min at a table and never got a server till the last 15 then forgot our drinks and everything, so we came to Hard Rock Cafe which was our first times as we were down visiting, with amazing food amazing server and overall really good people. Absolutely awful. Mistake coming here. The place being empty on a saturday in a packed downtown should of been a huge sign to turn around. Worst margarita of my life. Appetizers took forever to come out despite the place being empty. The pizza was frozen. The nachos tasted like I picked the inside of a microwave. How is this place open. The server was annoying as hell. He did this whole thing to group our larhe partys order and then when the food came out they had no idea where any of the food went. So I gave the overall experience a 3 just because my family still somewhat enjoyed their to go boxes once they finally ate then back at our room after rewarming it hours later. Also the situation that occurred was a one off situation that could have been handled better. During our visit a teen at the table next to us got sick all over the floor, which as a mom I get. What made the restaurant loose credibility for me was that about 4-5 staff members just walked by it without taking the time to block it off so other guest didnt step in it. It got to a point where I got up myself and put a chair over it. At this point my appetite was lost and I was ready to go . The staff that was working was young and not too professional as they all stood off to the side proclaiming that they wouldnt be the ones to clean it up which Im sure was embarrassing for the family to have to hear as well. When I got ready to asked for my orders to be canceled so i could leave my food was coming out so I asked for boxes for my families food so we could go. We were offered a discount. Im assuming the look of disdain reached the manager because our meal was compted and we left. I was just expecting a better experience at such a well known chain.

Disappointing tourist trap. Our food was way below expectations for the famous Hard Rock. Burger was over-cooked to my preference and needed seasoning. Loaded tots did not taste made to order or hot. Maybe made with heat lamp surplus tots and pulled pork from a warmer. Overpriced for portions size. Riverside interior decoration was very lacking. We went in with such high hopes for Hard Rock Cafe. Sadly, we were more than disappointed. Upon arrival, we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside and initially we asked for inside because we were hot. As we got to the table, I asked if we could sit outside and they said no. No servers were working outside. That was a lie because when we left people were eating outside! Then why ask? When we finally ordered and got our food my burger was over cooked and hardly any fries were on my plate. For almost $19.00, I feel it should have been a better burger. My friend got a the surf and turf burger, and hers was more of a smash burger. Normally, not a problem, however she didnt order a smash burger. There were options for those too... Anyway, it took forever for our server to come back and check in on us. My friend literally had to waive her down. When we told her our issues, she apologized and brought it to the Chefs attention. He said her burger was smashed more than it should have been and she just told me that she would have the Chef look into the temperature of the grill. Needless to say, our experience was horrible and they didnt even attempt to make it right. Well never be going back. Shame on management for letting this happen!!

I was disappointed with our experience at Hard Rock. The restaurant wasnt busy yet for some odd reason we had to wait 45 min to be seated. The food took even longer to be served. I requested a modification to my hamburger to have it wrapped in lettuce as Ive been avoiding gluten which resulted in a shocked reaction and story time with our server. The burger itself was a greasy mess. It was well cooked, but not well seasoned, and grease poured out from each bite. I left the restaurant feeling heavy and disappointed.

Family of three , one being a small child after a long day..and well ..Food is terrible.. ordered nachos with steak..I like my steak with some pink but these steak pieces looked liked they were barely cooked, all around pink. Was told they ran out of kids chicken tenders so settled for a kids hot dog for 5 yr old with a side of fresh fruit. Well turns out that fresh fruit is only one fruit ..pineapple. Not getting 20% tip or better when you re coming with 5% energy. Decided not to stay and order a few alcoholic beverages like we planned for that very same reason. How you going to act all serious in a spot that caters to tourists by not making them feel welcome? Servers seriously have the ability to shift the mood. It s too bad ours made us want to leave asap. They think you cant afford anything if you are simply just resting from walking all day. So you get a few drinks and share an appetizer. Then they treat you as if youre poor. But I still walked over and spent $200 in their gift shop.

On June 30th, we arrived 45 minutes before closing. We had just gotten into town and checked into our hotel and my family and I needed dinner. We walked to the restaurant and we were told my family couldn t be accommodated. I begged the guy at the podium (middle aged gentleman) to please let us eat there as I had three hungry kids (one which was only 1) and I was again told no. Everything else was closed and I was so upset. We ended up doordashing over $200 worth of food to our room instead. 40 minutes was plenty of time for us to eat and be out of there considering there were lots of empty tables everywhere and they took the family in front of us. I do not recommend this restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly

Hard Rock Cafe had been our favorite for around 20 years plus. It s been few years already since we as a family had the last meal at Hard Rock Cafe. We couldn t miss the opportunity when we saw the Hard Rock Cafe at the River walk. Well, we cherished the delicious meals as they all came out one by one. My favorite was the margarita pizza and my family loved their Fajita s and our cocktails and mocktails. It s not just about the food but the person who took care of us too, AD was awesome. She was the best, constantly checking on us and filling us up. It was like she read our minds every time we needed something. She is a great asset. Loved the attention by AD and the food. Way to go Hard rock!!!! AD-Adrianne Vegetarian options: The margarita pizza was a hit .

Super excited to come and enjoy our local Hard Rock. Even though were native San Antonioans, our son really wanted to try the one in our city. Host from street level had to call twice for us to get seated on the river level, and it was not very quickly. Seated by a young man who was very friendly, courteous, and professional in walking us down to our table. Now our table service gentleman... well, the total opposite. Ordered the famous nachos to come before our meal, and they were never placed on order. No problem. Got our food, which was served hot, very presentable, and great! We got placed at a table, which was super fun to people watching and enjoying the great weather outside. The manager came to check in us and told her our appetizer was never placed, and the server loudly responded, O told him I forgot! Well, after our time here, we paid and left to get our other activities started. We will return? Maybe for now.

I really wanted to have a great experience, and I understand things get busy, but overall 1 star performance, showed up with a party of 10, drinks arrived but food took a little bit, manager comes by asking how all the food was, to which I replied, not sure haven t gotten anything yet she found the food, everything came out except for one plate. Everyone ate and still missing a plate, waiter and manager apologize and still nothing, offered to comp meal after I complained, how can you comp a meal that never made it to the table? manager offered to comp entire table, she returns again saying she d comp the missing plate and 50% off everything else, called her out, immediately crawfished out of comping entire table like she originally said. Ended up just paying for drinks, because of some rule about not being able to comp alcoholic beverages. Probably a top notch place otherwise. Just bad management, definitely won t be back. This was my first time dinning at a Hard Rock Cafe and I wasn t disappointed. The service was excellent and the food came out fast and delicious. Make sure to get a seat outside either on the river walk level or the balcony. Side note Ben & Jerry s is also next door

Our party included a double amputee in prosthetics. We kept waiting for them to seat us (it was opening time so no other patrons). He tried to sit down to rest his legs and the lady walking around just yelled that he needed to wait for a server. We waited another 5 minutes and still nothing. Ended up going next door and was seated immediately

Went here on our 35th anniversary at lunchtime and started with a cocktail at the bar. The best old fashioned I ve ever had was made by Ernest, the Supervisor of the bar. Great customer service, and great atmosphere right on the Riverwalk!

The tables and every other surface was sticky AF. The alcoholic beverage I ordered was diluted, too much ice. I asked for a little more soda to add to it and they charged me for the glass of soda. Make sure you ask about ALL ingredients that come on the dish before ordering, not all ingredients are listed on the menu. For example sliders sya it comes with pork belly, cheese, pickles and dijonese. It came with caramelized onions, which I cannot eat. At least the waiter ordered another plate without the onions. The fries were too oily, kinda crunchy/crispy but overly oily. The music was not good considering it was The Hard Rock Cafe... Server was nice, timid. We didnt finish anything, paid, tipped and left. Not returning. Hard Rock headquarters would be disappointed to say the least. Of all the restaurants we visited while in San Antonio, Hard Rock was the most expensive and least amount of food & beverage was ordered here than at any other restaurant. Too expensive for the quantity and quality. Im shocked they have a 4 star review to be honest.

I visited twice in one week while on a recent trip to San Antonio. My second visit being more memorable. Jessica A was our waitress. She was awesome and went out of her way to take care of us and gave amazing service. Our food was delicious both times. I tried the Belgian Burger from World Burger Tour menu. Again it was fantastic. Leslie the manager also checked in with us and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and valued ! Great Job !

All hype and tradition, but it lacks something else. Was a bit noisy, food was good, not great. Food took longer than usual. Was a bit noisy, manager lowered it a bit. Thanks. Overall, a glorified chillis. Nachos were lukewarm. Wings were good. Very disappointed in the shrimp nuggets portion. They are really good, but picture is deceiving.
