vikki took care of me at the bar, she was amazing and so personable, not just with me, with everyone! Her service was amazing and the food only took two shakes of a lambs tail! I loved Gustavo too, he was hilarious. The atmosphere is amazing and they made sure not to over-serve us:) even the owner came up to us and asked how everything was. I ll definitely be coming back, but only when I see vikki s here, lol. Truly a great spot for parents to decompress and have a great meal! Just what I needed!

I have never had to write a bad review. I had very high hopes coming in. Everything on the menu you looked great, the newly renovated restaurant looked very nice. Once I ordered, I had to wait about 45 minutes for our food to come out, and there were not very many people, so was not busy at all. I was still very patient and expecting a nice meal to come out. When we got our food, it was terrible. It was plain and bland. No season, just plaint white rice on a plate and some grilled chicken. 2 warmed up tortillas not freshly made or anything that you would expect, it was horrible and definitely not worth the 45 minute wait nor the price tag that came along with it. The salsa was just as bland as everything else, it just tasted like watery dip with some veggies in it. Was very terrible. Did not even eat it just threw it in a to go box to give to my dog. Save your time and just go to Henry s. The only thing I can say is that the staff was very nice and courteous. The waitress we had was very sweet. And staff continued to check on us while we waited.

Like many people have said, the food isn t San Angelo standard Mexican food, but it s every bit as good as you ll find in restaurants with similar atmospheres in Austin, Dallas, etc. It s a fun place with great service. Try it out.

I am extremely upset with my experience at Mil Amores. Not only did they charge us for drinks we never had, but the food was downright awful overcooked and tasteless. When we brought these issues to the staff s attention, they were dismissive and rude. This was a frustrating and unpleasant experience, and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

My family and I went to dine to mil amores The food is horrible, but the aesthetic and the environment is nice, which is why my family and I kept trying to give it a chance. The last straw was when we went for the show on Friday night and they overcharged us on drinks. This is not the first time it has happened. This is the third time they charge extra drinks onto our ticket, the first and second time we let it slide because we understand mistakes happen and I m not the type of person that writes bad reviews however I don t like when they take advantage of people, especially of me and my family when we try to resolve this with Brian he didn t even give us a chance to explain he was very standoffish, very rude and said that no matter what we say, he will be charging. In my personal opinion, that s not good customer service that s telling me you do not care about your people they only care about how much money they are making. especially when we were trying to be nice and talk to Brian, I stress I would not be writing this review if Brian would have just been more comprehensive and willing to have a conversation and explain to us nicely and listen to us from our point of view. So for those who are reading this review, I advise if you still decide to go to Mil amores, make sure to keep A close eye onto their ticket and make sure everything is being charged correctly because again I stress this wasn t the first time this is the third time that it has happened to us, and this will be the last because we will not be returning. So I ll give credit where is due the environment is good. Their aesthetic is nice, but their food is not good whatsoever and they lack empathy towards their customers.

I usually do not write any reviews, but I recently had an experience that did not sit well with me. I had dinner with my family at Mil Amores in San Angelo where the service, food, and management were not good. To begin, the food did not taste good and was basically splattered on the plate. The drinks did not taste good and also we were charged for drinks that they did not even bring out to us. We spoke to Bryan and he stated that he didn t care that they were on the ticket so we had to pay. That was not right in that we were charged for drinks we didn t get. When we tried to talk to him he dismissed us and proceeded to continue to demand us pay the full bill. The management does not care about the well being of the customers or providing a great environment but rather just collecting money. I will not be returning to Mil amores.

We walked in and immediately loved the atmosphere! We got our food to go and it came out to almost $50 for Quesabirrias, Quesadilla Loco, two cokes, and chips & guacamole. The quesadillas were greasy, and had no flavor. We only ate 1 and threw the rest out. The guacamole was so liquidy, I wasn t sure if it was meant to be that way because photos online showed different. It was the most basic meal, so to mess that up was really disappointing and wasting $50.

Beer mug was frozen cold and beer was warm in mug. I had to ask for a cup of ice to add to my $10 Dos XX beer. Ordered the pork belly with guacamole. What a disappointment. Pork belly was too chewy and no flavor at all. Cheese enchiladas with red sauce is what I ordered for my lunch. The sauce was nasty very sweet. They must have added sugar to it. Beans were undercooked hard and no flavor. $87.50 for me and my wife. What a waste of time and money. Do not recommend this place at all. Total disappointment. Nothing like Armentas. Now that is a great mexican restaurant.

The service can be a little over the top. It was slow when we ate and they came to the table too often, and disrupted our meal. The chile they serve with the chips has no heat but has a good flavor. The enchilads with the jalepeno sauce had a good balance of heat and flavor. The beef inside the enchilads could use more flavor. They are moderate to high on prices. They charge extra if you use a credit card or debit card. I would eat her again. I would eat here more often if they joined the Delta skymiles dining program.

The hardest review I ve had to write because I love what this place is trying to do - it is authentic, fun, colorful, great decor, the servers worked hard, the manager checked on us, they had an amazing celebration for birthday guests, BUT the food was disappointing and that s the main reason we came - to eat. Chicken was overcooked, tamales and flautas not in the caliber we are used to in San Angelo, and chips stale. Their green sauce was excellent and the best Horchata I ve ever had but unfortunately the food wasn t. Never been to a place where they actually created the entire authentic experience then blew it because they didn t take the time to make the food right. Perhaps in North Dakota or Maine this would be considered a 5, but not in West Texas where there are authentic delicious Mexican restaurants and food trucks every block. I hope the owner takes this positively as this is not a criticism. We plan to come back in a month and see if they ve read all of these comments from us and others. We ve all had bad reviews at work or on school report cards so this is intended as a kick to improve. You guys have it all right otherwise - and the food itself was healthy and not greasy so that tells us you can do this - now take the time and train your chefs and perhaps talk to some other Mexican families who prepare tamales and flautas to get the right temperature and cooking style. Do this and we ll give you the 5 that you are worthy of once you make the adjustments. And others will too.

The atmosphere is different than what you normally find in San Angelo. I m glad that there is change. Staff is nice and friendly but it did take a bit to get our food Unfortunately the food doesn t reflect that same energy. The food is either undercooked or very greasy to my liking. I also did not like how stingy they were with the meat on the tres amigos plate. This was my first experience here and I hope they can better the quality because there is potential. 5/10 for me

Good was very delicious!!! The waiter we had suckeddddddd. We had to wait over 7 minutes to even get a drink order. The margarita we ordered was finally delivered to us and it was 90% melted. My kids had been without a drink for 80% of the time we were there and for the entire time we got our food. Our waiter delivered part of our food and then we literally never saw him again!!!! The manager offered to take 30% off our meal and they added a gratuity on their own which basically discounted what they took off. They charged us too many drinks had to get that fixed. The entire restaurant was so hot and humid it was completely miserable!!! Again, the waiter was nowhere to be found even after letting manager know!! We will not be back and I recommend you don t try it either we were there for over 2 hours!!!!!

My husband and his family along with a big group went to try them out last week! The atmosphere was pretty cool and they had a birthday celebration for everyone who had birthdays. However I feel as if they were so focused on doing everyone s birthday celebration that the service wasn t good. The salsa was okay, needing more flavor. The green sauce didn t have any flavor. I got the beef steak burrito I think the burrito loco meat was well seasoned and it was actually really good. What made the burrito loose its taste was the tortilla. The charro beans were good and spicy although there wasn t much beans in there just a lot of fat. My husband got chicken quesadillas and they were super salty. So we asked for sour cream and it took a good while because the waiter was doing the birthday celebrations. I had to signal him from across the restaurant for it. The aquas were the best part out of it all. Recommend the lemonade one. There s always room for improvement, they have potential if they continue to improve and take everyone s feedback. A little less on the birthday celebrations and more on the customer experience and making sure everyone is taken care of before doing the dances.

Girllllllll, let me tell you about my experience. My server (Desire) recommended the pica Fresca and the pina colada. They were great! So much flavor. I had the Botana Sampler also a server recommended item it was so good had every option on there. Chicken quesadillas, flatuas, poppers, nachos and wings! That was our appetizer than for dinner we had the fish snapper sorry don t know what it is in Spanish it s a giant fish ! It was amazing the seasoning was perfect I see other comments on here and I m sure it s because it s pricey but all in all it was so worth it. We don t have places like this here. The staff is amazing they all greet you stop at your table and ask you how the food was from the taste to the atmosphere they truly want to fix whatever issues you have. I have never been to a restaurant that has everything! The alcohol is on point the food well you see what you get on the menu it came exactly as pictured . This is fine dining as I have read most the reviews. The wait is always long at new businesses, I talked to the server about the (food) complaints she said that her bosses work really hard to make sure all plates come out perfect and they are in training so there is room for mistakes but before we even ordered she let us know there might be a small wait. Not only did she check on us she brought out never ending chips and our drinks stayed full. We will definitely be back. I want people to realize this business hasn t been opened longer than 2 weeks! We truly appreciate yall for bringing something new to this retirement town! The service was wonderful. Our waitress (Desirae) was so attentive and accommodating.

Terrible. It took 35 mins to get our food just to get a half done meal. They forgot to add the mushrooms in the discada and we didnt get the beans that came with it. For the price, a meal that came unfinished in a 4.5 inch skillet was a total rip off. The salsa was watered down and the people on the next table werent pleased either. I told the waitress that we werent happy with the meal and she told us that she was going to make it right. Thirty minutes later, we get the mushrooms that they forgot to add into the meal on a separate bowl...lol....really?? 15 minutes prior we got the beans!? I thought we were going to get at least half price for the sloppy job they did, but no. They charged 100%. I dont see this restaurant with getto service surviving but a few months. The bar seemed nice, but I will never find out because we arent going back. If I were the owner, I would be very concerned since the location has a lot of competition from already well established restaurants. The owner should consider moving to the middle of the desert or the middle of the getto.

They kept mopping the same areas, and trying to dry it by waving the menus at the floor. Was a bit distracting but also my food tasted different when I got a big woft of mop water at the same time. Also, cut the meat all the way or give a sharp knife. I got the molcajete and had to eat some of the meat caveman style because my knife couldn t cut it. I will definitely try it again in a couple months but want to give plenty of time to work out all the new restaurant bugs.

Loved this new place and we will for sure be back! They get flavor and I love that! Their drinks were fab! Recommend the patron margaritas! Our bar tender was super friendly and helpful with the menu too.
