Yall I was there the other day and u get 6 rolls for 15$ bucks temporah. Really over priced. On top of that you pay extra for spicey mayo and they givr u a table spoon of it. I thought it was weird. PIm here on vacation from Miami, Id say theres a better sushi place at the food hall. I forgot what it was called.

I ordered take out on a Friday evening at 6:35pm. My order was ready when they promised 25-30 minutes later. And delivered by smiling, friendly staff. I ordered the spring roll, Oishi roll and OMG tacos. Loved everything except the spring rolls were lackluster I don t recommend ordering them from here. The Oishi is a staple I ve ordered it 10+ time and never been dissatisfied. I ordered the OMG taco for the first time tonight and was delightfully impressed.

Everything was excellent from start to finish. The murals on the wall are awesome. The food and service was outstanding. We ordered the miso soup, gyoza, California rolls and the Alaskan rolls. Everything tasted super fresh and flavorful. Ann our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. I will for sure be coming back.

Fourth time giving this place the benefit of the doubt - They can never get the timing right, we get one meal and wait 20 minutes (no exaggeration) for the other. Not acceptable anywhere, hire an expediter! No manager present either. Food quality is good but the experience ends up being terrible. Sadly, last time.

Ive only been here once since it opened, so I decided to revisit and see how they were doing! The atmosphere and service was just as great as I remember. They didnt have alcohol the first time I came but they now serve wine, beer and sake Thats a definite plus! I got the OMG Taco and it was decent but the flavor wasnt as good as I remember. I also ordered the beef pho with meatballs and the meat was pretty good but the broth had that sweet after taste that some pho broths have but to me it ruins the flavor. Im more of a savory lover so that could be why. If you havent been here I do recommend and if I do decide to visit again I will stick to sushi because that all looked delicious

We love Kaizen, one of the best Japanese restaurants in Rowlett! Excellent food, comfortable atmosphere, and friendly and attentive wait staff. The orange chicken and white rice is my favorite, a classic and delicious choice. My husband loves their sushi rolls. Good discounts on drinks during happy hour. Ordered food here a month ago and thought it was a little expensive for what I ordered. Got home and found a couple of bugs jumping out of the rice. Caught a picture of one. Examined the food closer and found someones hair all through the food. ALL THE FOOD. Called the establishment to let then know what we found. They apologized and offered to refund 50% of the cost back and a gift card. I agreed and told them I would accept the offer. But, would decline any gift cards to their establishment. It has been a month since this wonderful meal and I have heard nothing from a manager and no money has been refunded. I refrained from any negative actions such as this. Bad business deserves the attention. I will be contacting the health department after this.

I ve been coming here for years, always fast and genuinely friendly service, and of course delicious food. Ive always ordered favorite roll (in & out roll) until TODAY! it was so cold outside i wanted to try soup. I saw Pho Ga on the menu and ordered it assuming the broth would probably be light and a bit more bland like it always is at any pho restaurants I ve ordered it (i dont eat pork or beef) i was WRONG. It was an incredibly rich and gorgeous broth. The depth of flavor and tender chicken were a delicious surprise and now i have found my absolute favorite chicken Pho. Im already looking forward to having it again!

First visited Kaizen based in a recommendation from a friend. My wife and I now drive past at least four other sushi places in Rockwall just to go to Kaizen. Wed have to drive to Dallas to find the quality of food found at Kaizen. Murals on the walls are very cool. Best sushi east(ish) of Lake Ray Hubbard.

This was my second time at Kaizen and it was delicious both times. The music was a bit loud for chatting, but our server was happy to have it turned down. Love the ginger dressing and the ahi tower (my favorite) was divine. Definitely a great place to pop in for a great sushi meal. 10.20.23: Kaizen has become a great local last-minute dinner spot for us. Our waiter is kind and cheerful every time were in. Give that man a raise! He always gives great service!

The food is excellent. The service is good too. The only thing that is off for us is the music. Its got a wonderful Asian vibe, otherwise, but then the music has often been rap, metal or hard rock. We just personally enjoy the full ethnic experience, whether Indian, Mexican, South American, Asian, Scandinavian, etc...it would add to the greatness of the food, and the goodness of the service.

Delicious food! One son tried the beef and tofu fried rice and especially liked the texture of the tofu...soft but with a slightly crispy outside. Flavor wise, its the best weve had in a long time. We also had the volcano, crunchy shrimp, and California rolls. All were excellent! The spicy garlic edamame had a kick but was mild enough for my youngest. The sparkling yuzu saki was yummy too.

We have constantly ordered from Kaizen since they have opened. I think its fair to say weve eaten almost everything on the menu. Our orders both take out and dining in are always excellent. Even tonight, when the first time in 30+ orders weve made, when part of our order was accidentally forgotten, the restaurant took every effort to provide outstanding customer service. We went with the thought that we could try a new sushi place, not expecting much. We were immediately greeted and seated with a big smile. We ordered, and received our orders quickly. At the first bite into our sushi, we found that the sushi was made with sushi-meshi, not just regular rice! So happy! Then, noticed that the nori was, also, Japanese nori. Not the hard to bite into and have to tear it apart type that we have found in so many other places that serve Japanese food. So happy! The California roll and the Tempura shrimp rolls were perfect! Thank you for making the sushi correctly! Recommend for anyone who wants their sushi correctly made, not a knock-off.

Food was good but nothing extraordinary. I think the sushi chef has a passion for sesame seeds as he put it on ever roll. Even the salmon roll which should never have sesame seeds . On the bright side the salmon roll contained a lot of salmon. My husbands roll which contained something deep fried in tempura. He said the oil used for frying was bad and made his roll taste horrible. Everything else was good. Upon walking in we noticed a very strong smell. My husband said he thinks it s whatever they clean the restaurant with. I think it smelled terrible and I don t want to smell that while eating. Service was ok. Won t be back to be honest. We drove out of our way for this place but to us it s just not worth it. I say try the place if you JUST want some decent sushi and can bare the smell of chemicals while eating.

I arrived with one guest with no other customers in the restaurant. The waitress took our drink order. Within 5 minutes we asked when our order will be taken and the waitress rudely said, Im working on it. Within 10 minutes 10 other people arrived. She then serviced the 10 other customers and delivered their drinks before providing us with our drinks. She even took their food orders before serving us our drinks. Their food was delivered before our food was delivered. When asked how did this occur, she simply said the other customers looked ready to be seved. My relative and I are African American we entered the location about 1pm. There was one male guest at the time. We ordered 2 drinks. Ann went to a table of 6(who came well after) and provided drinks. I asked for ours and she gave me a snippy attitude. We waited and waited for our order to be taken. She at this point had taken orders for all other guest, again we had to ask for her service. As a Chef this place gives a little wow factor in quality. Love the food and the presentation. Lots of layers of flavor going on in here. This is jewel of a restaurant. I came three times so far and everything was consistent. Its a must try.

I moved to Texas a few months ago and have been struggling to find anywhere that has decent sushi. Now I finally say I have found a place I am comfortable recommending. Living in Rockwall, Ive come accustomed to mediocre food and poor service, it is sad that I have to cross the lake to get acceptable meals.

Ventured across the lake on a recommendation and happy we did. The food was excellent across the board and service was very friendly and fast. Sushi tasted fresh and had great presentation; we will be visiting again.

My husband and I have always made the drive up to Dallas to get some sushi because nobody s quality could compare. That has now changed after eating at Kaizen. The fried pot stickers were so delicious and the sushi was very fresh. We even tried the special tuna they have in season and it was so good.

Hands down my favorite sushi place in rowlett, Garland, or rockwall. The servers are always attentive, personable, and organized! I and my friends have had all sorts of things on their menu and everything has been SO delicious! I personally highly recommend the volcano and the uptown! The decor and vibe is super laid back but still chic. For the perfect night out I recommend starting with dinner at Kaizen and walking a couple doors down and getting frozen yogurt at Spoons!

Great food and great service, wasn t to loud at all and the inside looks good and is clean. It s not far from me and the price isn t bad at all for the good quick of food and service. I love it and I would definitely recommend checking out with a open mind and going at a time where it s not gonna be super busy if you don t like loud noises with other people.

Sushi is AMAZING! Our 2 favorite rolls are the shrimp in & out and the cowboy. They also have a delicious spicy garlic edamame that is so good!! Service is always top notch! Its our favorite local place for sushi!!

The food is great, service is super polite, and the decore is awesome. My poor rating is because the place is horribly loud. You have to yell in the ear of the person next to you to even be heard. They REALLY need to put something on the walls to keep the sound from bouncing all over the place. A kid screaming on the other side of the room sounds like its right next to you.
